i wanna say that crisp's mother abandoned him as a child to go do whatever she wants. (wanna say either her own artistic endeavors, or it's a homer's mother situation where she's an activist hippie) not just for "le sad backstory" but to also reflect how crispin himself is willing to do anything for whatever he wants -- regardless if it hurts somebody [he loves] or not.
tbh, crispin doesn't even blame her one bit. is he sad about not having a mother or that his mother chose something else over him? deep down, perhaps. but like, he's also a selfish person so, in his eyes, it was something normal.
she never tried to reconnect with him either. likely disapproving of the foundry. (not viewing it as "actual" activism, but instead a hypocritical marketing ploy. therefore, being critical of it and her son) and really? she doesn't consider herself to be his mother because she wasn't in his life for long. not much of a mother and she knows it. so in her head, what's the point of reconnecting?

Alright, if you had to make a special episode around yourself, what would it be about??
"Uuuh... shit... that's a hard one..." "Definitely not some of that boring basic crap where it's just about what I do in a day, obviously!"
"Probably just one of the few funny things that've happened to me before? Something like that, I dunno... I'm not one of those stupid directors or whatever they're called."

Alrighttt smarty pants its time we go thinker mode again. So. Since non-dualism says that there's no duality, and that everything is just consciousness in another form, and that separation is just a created illusion------ Does that mean the subconscious mind isn't... really real..? As in, the actual boss of the game? Or maybe it is a huge component in the physical body/brain (which is also consciousness taking another form) (oh gosh this is lowkey cooking my brain) that directs where awareness dwells, but it isn't completely in charge cause, awareness still can reach what you've never even considered before in your entire life. I might be over complicating thisssss, Maybe this question is POINTLESSLY DUMB 😭?? But the thing is, in LOA community its always preached that your subconscious controls more than half of the stuff and that when it believes something it just acts on it, and basically all manifestations happen because of it. Now what do you think our wise pookieee 😔🐧🐧 (this cutie penguin is u)
Let me get my reading glasses… 🤓
Firstly, I would like to set the record straight that I’m not TOO up to date with nondualism but I tried my best to research. If I get something wrong, feel free to let me know so I can avoid any mistakes in the future.
Furthermore, this post WILL be focused on nonduality more than LOA. If you don’t believe in nonduality or have different beliefs, that is fine because you create your reality. I don’t know why I’m rambling like this, but just take this with a grain of salt if you’re not into nonduality. Let’s dive head first into this motherfucker!
Nonduality (aka Advaita Vedanta, Dzogchen, some Zen, and many mystical teachings) says this:
There is only one thing.
Consciousness. Awareness. The Self. Brahman.
And it’s not in the world—it IS the world. The world is a modulation, a dream, an appearance within this Consciousness.
This is important:
The body, brain, thoughts, “you,” and yes—even the subconscious mind—are not separate agents with power of their own. They are not little machines inside a human-meat-avatar, running around causing your reality to shift or stagnate like some Sims mod.
They’re appearances. Temporary phenomena within consciousness.
Okay, so what is the subconscious in nonduality?
From a nondual perspective, the subconscious is not some separate part of your mind hidden away in a black box that you must “access” to gain control of your reality. That’s dualistic. That implies “you” and “it” are separate.
Instead, the subconscious is more like…
A bundle of energetic tendencies.
A movement of thought-patterns.
A momentum of identity, belief, and habit—all flowing within Awareness itself.
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj put it beautifully:
“The mind creates the abyss. The heart crosses it.”
In this metaphor? The subconscious mind is the abyss. But only because you believe it’s there. It’s not the “boss of the game.” It’s not even separate from the player or the game. It’s just part of the illusion projected within consciousness, so that you feel like there’s a mechanism between “intention” and “manifestation.” But there isn’t. That’s just story.
But wait—why does LOA say the subconscious is everything then?
Great question. In my opinion, I believe LOA and nonduality DO NOT have the exact same beliefs. (I say exact same because the two DO have a lot in common, just that they’re fundamentally different) In most LOA communities, especially Neville Goddard’s work, the subconscious is treated as the “womb” of creation. The impressionable aspect of Self. And Neville said:
“The subconscious is not selective; it is impersonal and accepts as true whatever the conscious mind impresses upon it.”
This is where nonduality steps in like a wise old monk with a glittery bat, that idea of the subconscious is just a model.
In nonduality, it’s a metaphor. A teaching device. A way to help people “do” manifestation until they remember they’re not doing anything at all.
Just being. In nonduality,
THERE IS NO INNER.
THERE IS NO OUTER.
Just… You.
As the Field.
As the All.
So what’s actually running the show in nonduality?
Awareness. Pure awareness. You. The you before the “you” that thinks it’s a you. Not your thoughts. Not your brain. Not your body. Not your subconscious.
Ramana Maharshi’s core teaching was to ask who is the “I” that believes or experiences anything. Keep going backward, not to the mind, not to the subconscious, but to the witness behind it all. The space in which subconscious tendencies arise, but do not bind.
You are not the subconscious. You are what the subconscious appears within.
And when you truly grasp that—not just mentally, but directly—you’ll find that the whole game of “how do I convince my subconscious” becomes… comically unnecessary. Because who are you trying to convince? Yourself? Then you’re already convinced. There’s no second self to catch up.
Let’s put it poetically now:
The subconscious is like a ripple on the surface of an ocean pretending to be deep. But the ocean is you. The ripple? That’s just a wave forgetting its source.
When you stop identifying with mind—conscious or subconscious—you shift into the effortless awareness where all things are already happening. That’s not bypassing. That’s real power. The “void,” the “I AM,” the “source,” the “Self”, they’re all the same doorless door.
And nothing inside that has power over you.
Because there is no “you” for it to have power over. There is just this. And it’s yours. Because it is you.
So, no. Your question wasn’t dumb. It was divine. The subconscious is as real as you believe it to be. But it’s not the boss. There is no boss. There is only Awareness aware of itself. And once you know that, you don’t change reality by “convincing” anything.
You change it by being what you already are.
Yours truly, a penguin. 🐧
Reminder: I’m not replacing LOA with nonduality. If LOA resonates more with you, keep working with that. Truth is personal.

I really am the Chronic Over Thinker Ever bc why am i laying awake at like 4 am thinking about Mad Mod from Teen Titans 2003, whos not a villain meant to be taken very seriously in the first place, and thinking about how bitter he is about growing older. Like the angst potential in a older villain whos beefin with a bunch of teenagers and envies their youth…and how in his introductory episode he turns to using a hologram of his younger self to present as while the real him controls everything from behind the scenes…how cocky he becomes in Revolution when the real him gets to actually be his youthful persona that he throws himself a god damn parade. Ough. I wanna knock his teeth in straight (affectionately) </3
Edit: adding a moddy i just sketched while sleep deprived anyway imma go pass out now good night

We always thought we were alone out there. Not in the galaxy—no, that dream died fast. I mean alone… in ourselves. Human.
Centuries ago, we broke Earth’s gravity with nothing but desperation and data. We were running—from ruin, from rot, from each other. But we didn’t stop at the stars. We colonized them, carved cities into comets, hung solar farms between moons, called it home.
But it wasn’t just our bodies that changed out here. It was our minds.
Pluto was the furthest reach—the quiet end of a dying signal. They built Eridia there: a haven for thinkers, neuralists, soul-engineers. They studied what space does to the human psyche. And they found something.
They called it "The Hunger" A psychic sickness. A rupture in the way we connect. It spread like a system glitch—slow, silent, and deep within humanity. Affection became dangerous. Touch became lethal.
So they rewrote humanity—dampeners, inhibitors, neural locks. No more empathy spikes, no more entanglement, no more touching. It worked for a while. The Hunger hasn’t gone away; it has evolved. And those who feel too much… burn out.
You shouldn’t be alive. And yet—here you are. You weren’t born with the Hunger. With your own motivations in mind, you travel to Eridia, seeking answers about the one thing only you have.
Your hopes are to The Pantheon Circuit; A religious-techno body worshipping the ancient pre-human code—fragments of consciousness scattered through the galaxy.
Chose your backstory;
✩ The Conduit
You were wired to a forgotten AI-god, left floating in the void. They asked questions no one else could hear. You gave answers the system feared. People treated you as a seer, a signal booster, a danger to system control. You escaped before they could erase you.
✩ The Drifted
They found you in a half-dead cryo-pod, memory fogged. You wore a military tag that doesn’t exist in any records. As you traveled with your saviours, someone redirected your ship, causing you to crash into a nearby moon. Every crew member, and every record of their findings died. All but you.
✩ The Vessel
Biotech-enhanced and artificially immune to “the hunger” by design. Someone tried to build a cure into you, and you killed them getting out. Your "mother" found and took you in, but she's colapsing under the Hunger, and you leave to find help
You crash-land on Pluto with a celestial train, and are discovered by a rogue AI that was smuggled into Eridia.
Chose your Love Interest;
✩ Ais
Code Shaman — repairs forbidden AIs, speaks with machines, implants psychic firewalls.
Talks about Ȩ̴̻͚̟̳̬̣̮̿̀̈́̋̑̿̀̐̅̂̈́̄ȑ̷̡̢̢̝̬͔͚͔̲̯͖̜͊͊́͛̑̔̑̓͐̄͂̅͝͝o̵͈̙̩̍̓͐͋̅̉̊̔c̸͕̖͕͛̐͂̉̏͗̀̓͑͂̽͘
✩ Leander
Sensory Dealer — runs simulated emotion dens, trades stolen memories, fakes affection until yours feels real.
✩ Kuras
Ex-Pantheon Ascendant — a spiritual anchor turned apostate, carries forbidden relics from the Core
✩ Mhin
Scavver — builds illegal augment limbs, hides in The Drift’s ghost tunnels, allergic to vulnerability.
✩ Vere
Phantom-Operative — genetically altered for silence and cruelty, works for The Pantheon Circuit
Other; The Spire & The Drift
"Up there, they breathe clean air. Down here, we survive."
✩ The Spire: A tower city scraping the dome’s edge, flooded with reflective chrome and corporate cults. Rich in synthetic light, dead in soul.
✩ The Drift: Underground, near the reactor slums. Neon gutters, rusted platforms, mod markets. People here splice their DNA for coin or survival.

i want to write a gentle, timid reader who grievous is kind to. a grevious who chose his mods, but still has self-loathing and hatred for himself, who still misses Ronderu lij Kummar, who has not felt a woman's touch since the loss of his 10 wives, and who deep down is lonely with only his roggwart, Gor, for company besides the insufferable EV-A4-D.
Maybe he takes walks about Vassek 3 and basks under the stars. Maybe he needs alone time. Maybe he's a deep thinker. Maybe he comes across the reader in an unexpected way, and you need his help...

JuneBro: Balatro
Balatro: The Game That Should Have Won Game Of The Year Because It Is Ten Times Better Than The Bullshit That Got The Award
alright, welcome back to another belated and severely late installment of this review thing i do, called JuneBro. real quick, i wanna apologize to the bros (albeit small in number) who saw the last review as that shit was NOT in character and was just written in a way I hated. gonna work on keeping it brotastic here and making sure im actually writing like a cool person instead of some dumb homo tool (homo as in homo sapiens, i respect the gays).
anyways, so lets talk about this card game. when i first heard of balatro honestly i kinda thought it was just gonna be another "flavor-of-the-week" game ala Lethal Company or Content Warning (both are great games but its also like DAMN did those games fall off holy SHIT). i decided impulsively at some point that i was gonna try it since im an apple one subscriber and got the game for free due to apple arcade. so this game is sitting on my phone now and im like, so this is about poker or some noise? im not that into card games, ive played a round of rummy or two in my time (as a bro typically does) but ive barely played poker and i wasnt expecting much to be honest. from what ive seen online a lot of cats seem hella pumped about it, and so i start the game and for some reason, it hooks me in. i dont know how, something about seeing the funny blue and red number go up just awakens something in a motherfucker. but i very quickly realize that the vanilla experience for this game is okay, but when do you get to BREAK some shit? like while youre playin cards or whatever, wheres the satisfaction of knowing youre greatly exploiting the game to your fucking will? wheres the satisfaction of having joker combos that you had a hand in manipulating? when do you get to shove the chips and mult system over the railing and just go to town? how do you get all the luck? all very important and thought provoking questions. were doing so much goddamn thinking over here were turning into the fucking thinker.
so thats when i decide to get it on PC and install a like, FUCK ton of mods. im talking at least 20. and honestly? yeah, i know that some bros are gonna look at me and say "well youre doing it the cowards way, you should finish vanilla balatro before you mod it" and you know what? i dont give a fuck honestly. i dont care that i feel like i need stuff like incremental jokers that give times mult. sometimes you gotta just rig shit in your favor because if it works for politicians and fucking lawmakers then it works for me. back to the review, when you install the right mods on this thing, man you can turn the whole game into a particle accelerator and really fuck some shit up. i wanna eventually get into modding the game with my own mods. i wanna add homestuck jokers, valve jokers, all the fucking jokers. theres gonna be so many goddamn jokers that hollywoods gonna have to make a jokerverse movie because theres that many fucking jokers.
anywho, i decided to give this game a 4.75/5 shades to keep it real.

Hey there! This is Ekko, I'm the leader of a group from Zaun, we call ourselves Firelights. I do a bit of tech here and there, managed to go back in time — but lets keep this part on the low.
Things got rough a couple years back, but hey, we manage. Little by little we're making Zaun a better place, specially now that shimmer is being dismantled - not completely, but most of it.
Yeah, Sevika is the one doing the dirty work over Piltover, she still asks me to join in but... it's better this way. Giving a life to live and not just survival to my people it's what matters.

[info bellow the cut]
helloooo this is your mod talking ^^ this blog is mostly for shit and giggles for those who like ekko but can't find any rp blogs that aren't timebomb related
talking about it, yeah, this rp is based after S2. so, ekko is around 20-22. jinx is really gone to somewhere and ekko is back to the firelights, taking care of the city. it's a liiiiiittle bit based off of the fanfic "Ink and Bedrock" by @the-kr8tor on both tumblr and ao3.
this is from a fan to fans so idk if I'll do roleplay with other characters from the show, mostly ocs and people who want to talk to him.
about rp, feel free to send anything! it can be rp or just silly questions, just keep things sfw. yes you can do action roleplay! for that, use *[text]* for actions!

I'm probably not going to word this perfectly and I apologize.
Is it possible or realistic for a character (moderate-high support needs autism) to have a few words he can say easily but a bigger vocabulary when given time to think about it? He can say five words as easily as someone who's fully verbal can, saying those five words is pretty much effortless (things like yes or no.) But, if he's given time to put his thoughts into words, he has a decent vocabulary, his words just come out slow, quiet, and he stutters, pauses, and trails off a lot. He doesn't really think in words, if that makes sense, he's an extremely visual thinker, and trying to make the way he thinks translate into words takes effort. (This language thing also applies to sign language. He's going to get an AAC tablet.)
Is this a realistic thing, or a thing that can happen? If so, is there a word for it?
Hi asker,
This can definitely be realistic; however, I encourage you to think about why your character has a difficult time speaking, generally. This might affect how realistic the scenario is, but it can also give you some more insight into your character and why they speak the way they do.
Is it because he has trouble with motor planning, like in apraxia of speech? This means that their brain has a more difficult in actually getting to move the muscles needed to speak, but they know/can think of the words. This might be the more realistic explanation; many autistic people have apraxia of speech. In this case, the couple words your protagonist can reliably say take less motor planning, and/or he has practiced saying them enough times that he has created those motor pathways in his brain.
Is it because he has trouble with language in general? Many autistic people have trouble with receptive and/or expressive language itself not because of motor planning, but because of issues actually processing language. Think about how when you learn a second language, a lot of times it's much easier to understand some things said to you (receptive language) than actually coming up with things to say (expressive language). This can also work, especially since you mention he's a visual thinker. The more trouble he has with language itself, the less realistic your scenario becomes.
I don't think there specifically is a definitive word for it, but here is an article from AssistiveWare, an AAC company, describing intermittent, unreliable, insufficient, and expensive speech. One or more of these might apply to your character.
I like that he'll be getting an AAC device, by the way!
Hope this helps,
mod sparrow

Some Morris headcanons.
We’ve not seen all his SDVE & MM cutscenes yet, and we don’t get along with the interpretation of the Marry Morris mod so it won’t align with his past from that at all. Despite this, it may take inspiration from all three versions.
• Autistic. Undiagnosed, and I think he’d give you a sour look if you suggested he is. Found most in his love for numbers, his special interest in his work, his social abilities, and his poor interoception. Take a break, Morris, please.
• More of a logical thinker than emotional, but has the ability to be highly empathetic in his own way. He can be coaxed into this with a good influence in his life, but he’s similarly susceptible to being made worse by bad influences. He’s always been a bit cocky and self-sure from a young age, and Joja influence has made that so much worse.
• Grew up relatively lower class; parents often worried on money due to low-paying dead-end jobs. Being autistic & observant, this instilled the high importance of money in life very rigidly in his brain, and from a very young age.
• Morris believed his family’s money problems- frankly- to be a skill issue. A mixture of poor finances and a belief that they simply weren’t trying hard enough. And he proved it. He joined Joja as a low rank employee, and with a mixture of determination, tactics, logical social understanding, and concerning levels of overworking, he quickly raised their ranks.
• As he became part of the Joja family, he grew bitter towards his actual family. He never formally cut them off, but his work hours meant that outside family and friends were no longer necessary; he spoke to people within the company, and they were far more lucrative to associate with.
• Disconnected from his old life, he also began to forget his roots. Few would guess the man had been anything but middle-class growing up (although those raised with money can often tell immediately in the way he presents himself; he tries too hard). Despite this, he has his moments where he remembers where he came from, the nights they couldn’t heat the house, the nights there was less food on his parents’ plates. Unfortunately acting on these bouts of kindness usually comes off as pity, suspicious, or a Joja ploy to drive sales, and it isn’t appreciated by anyone more genuine.
• He honestly does believe in the Joja Corporation. In their vision. Rural towns like Stardew are stuck in the past, and Joja are there to help them. They’re the good guys, and anyone who doesn’t see that is less intelligent and can be convinced with time. Anyone can be convinced if he just tries harder. He just needs to explain it better, obviously. And if that doesn’t work, he quickly learnt that money does.
• He likes to think he’s not as disposable as the lower ranks, and a part of his power trip and overworking is to manage the knowledge that he could be replaced if they wanted him gone. The more importance he brings to the company, the more they can’t drop him. Joja is his life, and the thought of losing it is enough to spiral him into a meltdown.
• He detests Joja Cola because he can taste the chemicals vividly. Despite being rather open that he doesn’t like it with some, he’ll lie his teeth off about it to corporate. Dobson is one of the only other Joja employees around his rank that knows he finds the stuff foul, and unfortunately those two are frenemies so he’s routinely forced to drink the stuff when visiting Corporate in the city.
• His glasses have a filter on them that help him deal with the utterly despicable fluorescent lighting of the Joja store. It gives him frequent headaches without them. If they’re not at the end of his nose for once, and are actually covering his eyes, that man is suffering silently.
• oh, and this man is whatever the Stardew Equivalent of British is. Perhaps we’re bias, but I cannot imagine him with anything other than an English accent. This accent is very potentially fake.
I think that’s all of them for now. I’ve no idea if it aligns with the general fandom interpretation of Morris, but I thought I’d add them to the pool in our bout of 5am sleep troubles. Half of it is probably projecting from our experiences as a salesperson/with money/what could have been if we’d dropped our morals.
