On the topic of folks getting worked up over you reblogging things with commentary: i think general failure to learn to blend is a contributing factor, but I think another is that interaction on pretty much all social media is so *same-y* now... except tumblr.

You like, you comment, but if you retweet/share/whatever it's called on tiktok or whatever, you either a) do it without commentary in support or to spread a message, or b) you're dunking on the OP, usually not looking for discussion. Discussion happens in the comments, not on your own page - I feel like the kids, used to *those* social norms and having not bothered to learn the ones of tumblr (and possibly not even realizing that there are different norms) are kind of interpreting it as... like, dragging a discussion from their ground onto yours, trying to shift the home advantage.

And they're wrong, you're just interacting in a way that's normal and expected on tumblr, but there's I think a degree of not understanding that sites *can* be different in that way, especially since Tumblr does have a lot of the same superficial markers (likes, comments, an algorithm (even though it's optional). When I started online, and I presume when you did too, every site had its own set-up for how you interacted with other users - a guest book, an irc chat, a forum with threads that may or may not have been strictly enforced, a yahoo group mailing list... You never really knew your first time on a site how you talked to other users, so you *had* to watch, you had to see what this site's mode was, and how strictly it was enforced.

And the superficial similarities between tumblr and other social media is sort of giving the tiktokers the feeling that tumblr is tiktok but with words and they can treat it exactly the same. And i think you're being very clear every time you reblog one of them about what the culture and normal mode of interaction is, but i think it's also going to keep running up against all of their existing internet experience, as well as native human stubborness, especially since you're typically disagreeing on the OP about something.

I have not backed up my mojoflower blog (I tried that once and got flagged for content and never bothered again).

I HAVE backed my WangxianFicRecs blog up over on WordPress, and do regular updates to be sure everything is current. It's actually a better format for this as far as tag page and seeing multiple posts, etc. So y'all should definitely bookmark it, for your fic searching convenience as well as insurance against the day poor Tumblr falls apart at the seams.

Hi Steph! I’m looking for a fic that’s Johnlock and is kindof supernatural, but all I remember is that Sherlock can’t tell John he’s supernatural and is made to leave him for some reason. But John wishes for Sherlock (using his full real name) to never leave him, so Sherlock gets to stay. Sorry it’s so vague! I think its a long oneshot, if that helps.

They are all real! Miss mojo ( @mojoflower ) made the banners herself with fics she enjoyed 😊 I don't know if all of them are still up but they certainly are real.
