Red Robin had been punching the Riddler for ten minutes and had been beating him up for about twenty. Batman stood to the side, contemplating pulling Red Robin away, but the last time he did that too early, he was greeted with an elbow to the mouth.

Batman (attempting to reason with his son): I think he's had enough.

Red Robin (pausing mid-punch): Nah, he wanted to say something about my mother. I'll give him something to laugh at.

Red Robin resumed wailing on the bleeding, trembling man.

Batman: I can understand the reaction, I'd be pissed if he insulted my mother especially with what he called yours, but-

Red Robin (seething with rage, slapping Riddler): Shut the hell up, or I’m shoving my fist down your throat! Have to deal with Firefly, I'm having insane people thoughts and he insulted my dead mom!

Riddler (weakly): I'm… sorry.

Red Robin (with a twisted smile, beginning to choke Riddler): Say it five more times, and I might stop. Beg! Beg!

Batman checked the time on his phone.

Batman: Alright, let me try this nerve pinch Ra's taught me.

Batman calmly walked behind his son and pinched a nerve on the man's neck, causing his eyes to cross and his tongue to stick out.

Red Robin (falling to the side): Sleepy time.

Batman picked up his son.

Batman: That's right. Let's take you to the car to nap. Edward, stay there.

Riddler (slurred words): I'm not… shure it's shafe for me to shtand up… Reshting here until I'm at Arkham is the shafest choice.

While I’m down the Koby rabbit hole, I figured I’d post some sketches I’ve done of him from @okiedoketm’s KANGVCD fic where he joins the Strawhats!

One of my two favorite Koby fics and I’ve been working on and hoarding these for a couple months now :)

He makes me so happy, he’s trying so hard to make sure the timeline ends up okay, but to any outside point of view he’s just a psychotic teenager who will visibly give up on manners midway through a day and go apeshit.

He’s got the manners, but no one knows the exact minute he’ll drop them for the day and beat someone’s ass. It has happened on multiple occasions and Nami lives in fear for her wallet and paying for collateral.

Illario: Wow. I can't believe that line never worked for me. Because, and I can't stress this enough, I never would have thought to say something that obviously insane.

Lucanis: To be fair, I thought he was a demon at the time.

What I love about Hellboy and Abe Sapien's dynamic in the comics is that, if you came into this blind, you'd expect Abe to be the voice of reason or the straight man to Hellboy's impulsive and hotheaded personality. But no, Abe is more often than not the crazy one. Hellboy would deal with fighting evil monsters and bad guys by just sighing and getting it over with, while Abe is going rabid over tearing the creature apart when he does get into a fight. Hellboy acts like it's a 9-to-5 job and will reasonably talk things out with a guy that had nearly killed him before, Abe acts like a madman in a slaughter house and his first instinct is to shoot first kill second and ask third. They're both insane, but on completely different levels.

A serial killer broke into Wayne Manor, brandishing a knife. Alfred was unfortunately away on vacation.

The man crept toward Bruce Wayne, ready to strike; his heavy breathing was audible enough to wake the barely sleeping Bruce.

Bruce (irate): I HAVE THREE MEETINGS IN THE MORNING!

Bruce had planned for this, as he had a heavy batarang under his pillow, which he promptly lobbed at the man's head.

Bruce: AND HOW DARE YOU TRY TO KILL ME!

Bruce got out of bed and began to beat the man up. The crook's screams echoed through the manor, causing Damian and the other Batboys, who had been startled awake, to race to his room.

Bruce: I am BRUCE WAYNE, FATHER OF MANY AND YOU WILL NOT KILL MY FAMILY!

The boys backed away, remaining unnoticed by their father delivering fist of justice outside of the bat suit.

Dick: Right... So one of us should call the cops.

Jason: And I will keep recording the world star video.

Duke: Dang it, I wanted to say that. I'm going to eat the leftover pizza, y'all handle that.

the thing is for many mysteries suo puts around himself there exist innocuous explanations for them that is realistic for the 1-standard deviation experience of the population (well, adjusting for the childhood traumatic eye loss, of course), providing that suo is a bit of a chuunibyo. but is it really fun to stick to the most likely possibility? no, thats why im on my suo backstory lore #4

the fact that Hades in the sequel got his house trashed, status stripped and literally thrown in jail, and is still starting out in a mental state of "at least holding it together" compared to hades 1
