game mechanic i'm thinking of rn:

ok so, imagine a game in Unity —

Game mechanic is: you have magic (like in the power system) or abilities that you can use whenever and you can upscale them, level them up etc (to level them up you'd have to get social points or experience probably?) and this magic during battles or events would have no cost at all like no MP

EXCEPT they cost time. each skills/talent/ability cost an amount of time. real time.

in the menu, there's a timer that keeps up with that, and at some point during the game, (or multiple) you'll have to wait in a whitespace/empty sandbox area until that timer runs out. how's that sound?

i think i'd want to avoid over punishing players by adding timed events or lore progression or rare items in the whitespace, or perhaps level up opportunities in there........... like i'm imagining a "no time" speedrun or other types of whacky speedruns..

how do Polka's claws work? Most art with him doesn't have claws but a few do!!

Does that mean they are retractable? Or just very circumstantial depending on his mood?

Have his claws ever caused issues?

what is his relationship with Kinger? Does Bubble ever interact with Polka and if so what does it look like? Does he like sweets?

Polka's claws are a feature of his avatar! Like Zooble's pieces, or Gangle's mask- Polka's kitty cat character model allows for retractable claws!

Trouble? Well, I have an older doodle I'd like to redraw of Polka ripping one of the stage curtains 🫣

(I'm retconning that relationship chart line I made that said Bubble is scared of Polka,, They are mutually liked!) Polka finds Bubble hysterical, especially anytime Caine pops him- guaranteed to leave him wheezing!

As for Kinger: Polka likes him, don't get him wrong! He's just, a little hard to hold a conversation with and can be unpredictable in a way that lowkey intimidates Polka,, (he's not aware of how Kinger's condition works yet) But that doesn't mean they don't have their moments together. :^]

made this ref for artfight (first time!) .. haven't drawn digitally in ages and my art isn't where i want it to be rn but i am still learning.

the 889437587th courier oc on tumblr. he was a gunsmith with the gun runners for a few years in between the mojave express. warning extreme yap below:

a bleeding heart radical optimist; deeply empathetic and a great listener (average speech 100 courier). truly truly just wants the best for the people of vegas and does his best to give it to them. unfortunately his best is kiiinda shit sometimes.

he's all-in with the followers of the apocalypse, though he ends up helping the ncr a fair bit—he's sympathetic to their struggles but resents the way they treat the mojave.

he is an expert marksman with rifles and loooves big guns. he "hates killing" (doubtful lol keep telling yourself that), so doing it from very, very far away makes it easiest to justify to himself. 0 hand-to-hand ability (gets absolutely destroyed in dead money).

he is a he/him butch! :) he was married but believes his wife died years ago. he hasn’t seen her since, but she is alive and very deliberately avoiding him LMAO (it's only partly his fault). permanent tinnitus and partial deafness in one ear due to the gunshots.

he has a negative and deeply personal history with house (he was born and raised on the pre-house strip....) he’s terrified of and hates him and all his securitrons. revenge on house is a much more driving motivation than revenge on benny ever was.

despite this, joey very nearly allies with house for the greater good of vegas, but in the end he betrays and eliminates him. he'll doubt this decision for the rest of his life.

some perks: hand loader, cowboy, jury rigging, rapid reload, sniper, cherchez la femme + confirmed bachelor (console commands!)

Ok so my DF hero is definitely trans and I've been kinda hand-waving the details up until now but I think I've settled on him not technically transitioning until after he makes it to Falconreach.

Basically it would be incredibly funny if he walked into town for the first time and Zorbak was there behind the potion shop like "Psst hey. I heard u want a sex change" and Arthur was like "Aren't you the guy who just attacked me with bears"
