we all (hopefully) know gallows creek is located in the state of Iowa, but have you ever wondered specifically WHERE in Iowa?

Well I’ll tell you.

As a part of my Henry’s Trial series, I did a lot of digging to find a suitable court to draw. This meant looking up population densities of the different counties in Iowa in the 80’s to compare with what we know about Gallows Creek (the town has like 1,000 people and is basically surrounded by farmland and wilderness, including a river)

The most likely county is….

Ringgold county.

The county in red on the border of Missouri. In the current day, it has a population of less than 5,000 people. Less so back then.

It also has a not insignificant part of the Missouri River basin going through it.

I don’t think I used it’s county seat for the drawing in the end for whatever reason but

haiii sorry for the Q here but!!! how did you make your graphics??? Both gif and not gif I've been thinking of getting into edits but idk where to start lol 😭😭😭

unm for the non gif ones, i'll sometimes use ibispaint, photopea if i think it'll be more complicated.

i edit all gifs in photopea too ^^ it can be a bit confusing at first and tbh idrk how to explain it without a more specific question, but there are tons of people online who have explained like clipping gifs, psds, etc

edit: oh yeah also i like literally just started editing shit like maybe a month ago. brand new experience, never done it before, but it's very easy to get the hang of i promise.
