people always say that malcolm and ollie were toxic but i would've skipped the formalities and crashed out within minutes of meeting ollie. i think there is some primal response to bully him. it's not your fault you were born with the ability to make people insult you erotically, almost in a pavlovian way

Note
Jay Dipersia from The Good Fight is canonically plural.
After catching COVID-19, while sick in the hospital, he developed factives of Jesus Christ, Karl Marx, Malcolm X, and Fredrick Douglas. Even after he recovers from covid, the factives remained and give their input on the goings-on at the legal firm he works on. Not sure if there's a -genic term that fits him but he's absolutely a proxy system like us! -H

New Scotland Yard: Prove It (2.5, LWT, 1972)
"Tell me about the wounded man, Slee."
"Yes, well, local talent. He owns three car lots and a laundrette. He's done quite well for himself, considering."
"Considering what?"
"He started life shooting other people's knees off."
"That's a grammar school education for you."
"Mmm. PTI in the army, jacked it in and sold his muscle to the highest bidder."
"Form?"
"Usual: GBH, malicious wounding with a weapon, assault occasioning bodily harm, demanding with menaces. Clean for the last four years."
"Now a respectable businessman."
"Scum. Handmade suits, two daughters at the local convent, but still scum."
#new scotland yard#prove it#1972#lwt#classic tv#peter moffatt#richard harris#john woodvine#john carlisle#anthony sagar#richard borthwick#ray lonnen#ralph watson#roy purcell#june watson#sally nesbitt#brian hayes#terence sewards#malcolm gerard#gangsters! a gangland 'disagreement' sees one man clinging to life and our intrepid boys move in to sort it all out. they're off their own#patch this week‚ for reasons which are never explained‚ and much is made of the local coppers being uncomfortable around high ranking#types. one of those locals is played by Anthony Sagar‚ who's inexplicably doing a welsh accent (tho tbf not a bad one). this must have been#one of his final jobs‚ he died in January of '73. also a delight is Sandbagger 1 himself‚ Mr Ray Lonnen‚ as a wide boy Mr Big#looking to expand. Harris' script is wittier than many eps of NSY and contains a lot of his trademark sly dialogue (including multiple#instances of the viewer hearing only one side of a phone call and being left to wonder what exactly is being joked about..). this is the#second episode in a row to end with the central crime not actually wrapped up‚ tho in this case it's hinted that Kingdom has set#certain things in motion which will hopefully provoke an arrestable response. he and Carlisle have another icy show down about methods and#practises‚ and Carlisle gets in a truly venomous line or two which should surely have seen him reprimanded (if they had anything like a#realistic working relationship). not a bad ep‚ not a great one either‚ a little too straight cop show in shape to be truly intriguing

Why is it the thing that I actually feel accomplished about lately is that. I'm almost done with one neighborhood on my sims 4 save I'm making for myself. I've got one more family to finish for Willow Creek and then I can move onto the other worlds.

A standard night with the adult survivors:
@barclaysangel @fairchilds-glasses @high-functioning-fang1rl
Malcolm: You can't categorise people based on a physical attribute that they can't control because that is discrimination.
Nica: The other day you spent 20 minutes making ginger jokes about Rachel despite being ginger yourself...
Malcolm: Yeah, and I feel like I'm part of the problem.
Kyle: So, are you apologising for that?
Malcolm: Yeah, I want to apologise to the ginger community.
Malcolm: *turns to face Rachel* Ayo! My ginger.
Rachel: *head in her hands* Oh my gods, no!
Malcolm: Sorry for all the pain I caused you. Stop ginger hate.
Andy: *applauding* That's... growth.

I went to a cafe to get to work on an audio project that I’ve been wanting to make progress on… instead I have spent like half an hour doomscrolling cuz I decided that I MUST HAVE this pack of plugins and that the best time to download them is right *now,* so I have to wait.
All this spawned from me needing a distortion plugin and not being able to find it.

The scripted villains weren't always the hated in The Mysteries, specifically in regards to Lucifer and Judas. Asia Kate Dillon's take on Lucifer was fresh, dominating their moments on stage. Their portrayal of Lucifer as the occasional voice of reason, allowed them to bring incredible depth to the infamous fallen angel. If you had empathy for Dillon's Lucifer, it wasn't accidental.

The whole "well punk is actually about not conforming so by listening to Taylor Swift I'm actually the most punk person in the room because I'm not conforming to expectations of what punk is" is funny but like it's also kind of based on a sort of elevation of punk into something it really isn't. It's a music-based subculture with an associated aesthetic, as music-based subcultures are wont to have. That's it.
Now I understand the impulse to be "well I do like the punk aesthetic but I don't like the music because it sucks ass so can I just take the aesthetic and then make claims about punk that divorce it entirely from its roots as a music-based subculture," well good news is you can do that and arguably people have been doing that for ages. Like, very famously two of the people at the center of the birth of the punk subculture, Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, cynically used the subculture as a vehicle to sell clothes, and since then there have been multiple fashion designers who have been like "wow what if we could sell the aesthetics of rebellion to people without any of the nasty associations with smelly moshpits? That'll be two thousand dollars for a pair of pre-ripped jeans and a studded leather jacket."
And like. Significantly there is literally nothing that people in the punk subculture can meaningfully do to stop you from wearing a plaid skirt and ripped fishnets and combat boots and biker jacket and telling everyone that you don't really like the music but actually punk is about being kind and remembering to vote for the Democrats. But also significantly, people within the punk subculture also have a term for people like you: poser.
Also the music does kind of suck on purpose.

Tournament Details:
Teams compete in multiple games against other teams and the team with the most overall wins is the tournament winner.
The game is played in a large outdoor area with plenty of cover (trees, hills, etc.) divided in half into “territories” belonging to the two different teams.
The objective of the game is to find and retrieve the other team’s flag (which they have hidden somewhere) and return it to your own team’s base before the other team finds your flag.
Teams can hide their flags anywhere on their territory provided that the flag is visible from at least one angle standing on the ground at average height.
While on the opposing team’s territory, a player can be tagged by an opposing team member, at which point they are then “taken prisoner” to the opposing team’s base and must remain there until a member of their own team comes to free them by tagging them.
Physical combat other than tagging isn’t allowed. Injuring another player is grounds for disqualification.
No phasers, tricorders, communicators, transporters, or any other technology are allowed (with an exception for technology integrated into particular characters such as Seven’s implants or technological disability accommodations like Geordi’s visor).
Cheating teams are disqualified from that game, which is equivalent to a loss (assuming they’re caught cheating, of course).
For the purposes of this tournament, it can be assumed that all characters have all of the knowledge and experience they gained over the course of their respective shows, are reasonably aware of all opposing team member’s abilities, and are all equally motivated to win the tournament.
