"Heyy, X!" Archer greeted the younger man happily when he made an appearance. "I'm happy to see you got my text." The executive motioned for his subordinate to sit next to him on the sofa. Afterwards, he placed two wrapped boxes on his lap. The first being a jewelry box containing a koffing pin with pastel rainbow smoke, the other containing an Urban Decay pallet. "I found these and thought of you. Happy Pride!" The pin was most obviously custom made and likely because of his jacket.

If X had known this was why he was being called over, he might not have shown up. For the most part, he tried to pretend this month was normal. Because for most people, it was anyway, right? 

Archer sort of made that difficult though, gift or no gift. The halls hung with reminders of what time of year it was, and X’s chest clinched every time he passed a poster.

There was going to be an event. But he couldn’t go. Even if allies were going to be there, most people would assume people there were queer and he felt the air getting stuffy at the thought of how he’d behave around the Executive and how obvious it would be.

It made his stomach churn, thinking about how there were people who could feel proud and excited to be them and who took the phobia head-on while he was ashamed to admit he even thought a guy could be cute.

And, you know, maybe he should’ve known. That this was what Archer was going for. But he was trying so hard to feign normalcy that he’d probably thought this call was a normal one. And maybe Archer still had that in mind, but X certainly didn’t once he started feeling nauseous.

“I um--” He stared, blankly, at the gifts, hand hovering slightly over them while he tried to find the words. If he didn’t soon enough, the water building in his eyes would betray him, first. “I dunno if I can take this--”

Brass nails and why I have them.

Ever since last night I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my brass fingernails. First of all. NO, they are not prosthesis. i have them for a specific reason.

Here’s what they look like:

I bite my nails all the time. constantly, idly, without thinking.

If you’re like me, and love giving back scratches, then having no nails is a problem:

Here’s how chose to fix this problem:

Shoot bullet, collect casing.

cut bullet.

The bullets have a taper inside. we will want the broader side of the taper to be outward on our nails, and the thinner side against the rear of the nail so there is no jutting up of material when they are glued on. Here’s what that taper looks like, one cylinder is flipped over to show how thick it is at the base:

clip, bend, and trim into a nail shape:

sand for a fine (BUT NOT CUTTING SHARP) edge on the front and smooth edges.

Glue with Krazy glue, it’s the best.

it’ll dry quick. NOW TRY BACK SCRATCHES. LOOK AT THIS DIFFERENCE.

Amazing. the nails will stay on for about a week at a time before working themselves loose, when that happens just scrape the glue off and reapply.

Unless you happen to have reached into the closet and snagged it on your shelves and broke the nail off on your pinky cuz holy god that hurt. reapply anyways.

Also these work as screwdrivers, knives and various other multi-tools at the tip of your finger, so that’s pretty rad. I don’t know how odd i should feel about having done this, but i must say; it’s handy as hell and really fun to have nails again.

OH, also you can shine them with “brasso” or something but screw that, I’ve tried that and they get mirror bright and really annoyingly shiny. not my thing.

I would love to cosplay Mina, but I might look a little too grown up for her. Still, a fairy-type artist is right up my alley. Did I mention I got a Fairy Badge pin at NDK, to match my pin of Mina’s Captain symbol?

If you meant one of my OCs, in the event they somehow became recognized characters...I would probably cosplay Pascale. There are a lot of potential outfits for her given how long she’s been around, and it would be fun to play around with those types of elements.

As for actions vs mystery...I’ve written action before, several times. But I’ve never really tried mystery. I think that requires more planning than I normally put in. But it’d be interesting to try at least once, you know?

And for fluff vs angst....ahhhhh that one’s hard. It’s very dependent on my mood, and who I’m writing for. I don’t know if I can pick one for that. Sorry.))

But it felt special coming from Archer, and somehow even more special in the midst of him brushing and fussing over her. Blue eyes opened as she felt a soft fabric against the back of her neck, and she was no longer able to resist sneaking a look in the mirror.

He was right. She looked stunning.

“Mon minet, what exactly is the occasion?” Jules finally asked with a bubbly giggle. “I certainly don’t mind it, but you’re dolling me up like I’ve got an interview with Diantha or something.” Brushing a little bit of hair back behind her ear, she leaned foreword to give him a soft kiss.

➏ What’s the one thing you especially love about roleplaying your muse?

[[ I’ve been asked this a lot and my only response is that he’s just so easy to write from how long I’ve been writing him. There are still some moments in writing that can be difficult to get out. But it’s always been so fun, though!

Even when all my other muses are gone, Ghost’s muse is always there for me to pick up easily and write for. Even if I haven’t written for him in a long time. ]]

[[ ..There’s.. a lot of people. I mostly blame my Social Anxiety cuz I 100% would absolutely LOVE to thread and plot more and talk more with some of these people but I’m just always worried that I’m being annoying or a bother. “orz

One person ( @lionfanged​ ) I’ve actually started to rp a lot with and it’s been the best!! Even if I’m still horribly nervous to talk to and reach out first, I’ve been working on getting better at it. It’s been slow, but I’ve definitely improved from the 99% silent and awkward person I used to be when I first started out!

I’m still trying my best and I hope I can be able to interact with more people with less fear in the future and have as much fun as I am having now! ]]

➑ Give us a rough estimate: How much time have you spent on your graphics? (icons, theme, banners, promos, etc)

[[ Uhh.. about maybe an hour to a day? If you’re talking about my icons in specific tho, I’ve actually had some help from a friend to help mass export them since Gimp doesn’t have that luxury and I don’t have Photoshop.. ;v;”

Sometimes I just play around with layers after layers until I find something I like so sometimes an icon that can look simple could actually be complex and vice versa for complex looking icons. Same goes with my graphics!

So really, the amount of time can vary depending on what I’m working with. ]]
