And yes, Anjelita’s grandparents are Soos and Melody! I didn’t want to give her Soos backstory (Since, Soos is right there lol) so instead of having a father who left and never came back, her parents died when she was young so she was raised by her grandparents!

Soos and Melody are the very sweet and silly old couple you’re bound to meet at some point in your life lol. Melody and Soos are both retired so Melody does a bunch of miscellaneous hobbies (usually with Anjelita) to pass the time while Soos has a bunch of busted up cars/trunks in his backyard that he likes to work on for fun! (I’m basing Soos a little after my grandpa here haha) I like to think Soos and Melody take trips to anime conventions and cosplay characters together for fun, since no matter how old they get they are still dorks to me lol

The two absolutely adore their granddaughter and Soos also still adores the Mystery Shack to a degree that Anjelita has to make sure he doesn’t ever visit her while she’s working or else he won’t leave for the rest of the day. The Ramirez’s are also just pretty close with The Pines’ in general since Mabel Mason Pines is a very sweet and charismatic man who always wants to make sure he has a good relationship with his employees! Also Anjelita pretty much dragged Mason to her home during the holidays one year when she found out he was spending them alone ‘like usual’ and her family wouldn’t STAND for that. So now he’s quite close with them!

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

Where do i even start cause man

Like I honestly can’t exactly choose one thing, what makes Josuke my No.1 fave JoJo is the result of different traits of his character and how it’s utilized that makes him super appealing to me as a character

But i think the entire concept of his character is what makes him the best JoJo to me

Like you got this bastard son of Joseph who’s only lived with his mom and grandpa as his only family, and who’s up to meeting Jotaro, lived an almost normal life (y’know aside the one time he almost died from a fever and manifested a stand afterwards which nobody else seemed to have like he does)

The idea of Crazy Diamond being Josuke’s stand is so heartwarming when its special ability is to restore/fix things, making it good for healing people too, and with how stands reflect their users it’s so nice to think of how it reflects Josuke’s never ending kindness

I especially love how Josuke’s never ending kindness is contrasted by his emotional unpredictability and his equally never ending rage and anger, like the boi got those destructive mood swings like damn (and i have so many thoughts as to why that is but this is not the ask for that shhshshgz) but I’m going to be completely honest, I literally would rather be ORAed by Star Platinum into a hospital bed than ever be at the receiving end of Josuke’s rage (like his rage is legitimately terrifying, Jotaro himself doesn’t scare me like Josuke does dhdggd)

For a delinquent like Josuke you’d think he’d be a bit reserved about showing too much emotion, yet you have him wearing his heart on his sleeve, he doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him, he’s confident and isn’t ashamed to be who he is, all while being protective and caring for his family and friends and having the ability to bounce back when he experiences something bad which is really nice to see

All that combined with Josuke being a teen making him extremely reckless and stubborn at times, as well as having a heartwarming backstory for why he gets extremely angry when someone insults his hair, it just makes Josuke an extremely unique, likable and fun character

Watching Josuke trying to live his life as the teen he is while still needing to deal with the Joestar family curse (all while having the “I’m a Higashikata first, a Joestar second” attitude which i love so much) and dealing with stand users bullshit as he’s trying to catch a serial killer was a unique experience, and I believe Josuke is one of the biggest reasons that made pt4 my fave

I also love when i see artworks of him with different outfits! I’ve seen really beautiful outfit designs and I’m here like YESSSSSSSS

And I especially adore when i see artworks/fics that explore Josuke’s relationships with his friends and family (like Josuke and Gio fics/artworks!) or explore the more darker/angsty side of the things he experienced (Kira, his grandpa,etc) and how it affects him cause let’s be honest, Josuke isn’t completely unscathed both physically and mentally, but he’s still strong willed and emotionally intelligent

Thatch and Ace picked up one once and were blushing messes bc it opened to a particularly raunchy part

little off focus story time but when I was younger i would read anything and everything, and my mom’s friend (who was our neighbor) read a lot of those and I always flipped thru them when I was at her house pet sitting until she realized they got moved and started putting them away. What a fun killer.

My grandmother had so many, I think they were Harlequinn Romance novels? They were literally a dime a dozen, it was effectively the same formula (or half-dozen formulas) and they'd just change like, names, professions, and income and write a different story. Grandma loved them, and they got pretty spicy.

They never managed to hold my interest, but she'd go through so many grandpa would put them in paper grocery bags to donate them once she was done XD

And hey, when it comes to delulu is the solulu, a break from reality is good for the soul every now and then.

You said in your pinned post that one of your favourite movies is The Lost Boys! I watched it for the first time a couple weeks ago and I thought it was fun. I'd love to hear some of your thoughts on it, especially your favourite characters!!

also the thing is one of my favourite movies i'd love to hear you ramble about it but you don't have to

AHHHH LOST BOYS <333

I love it sm it's such a fun silly movie. Tbh vampires aren't usually my thing but I love the aesthetic of this movie: lots of my favourite 1980s fashion, and vampires in a beach town is a unique idea! The hideout in the destroyed hotel is one of my favourite horror movie locations, it's so eerie and looks just like a place a bunch of teenagers would go hang out.

The Frog brothers are probably my favourite characters because I love how comically serious they are about their vampire hunting (despite being painfully inexperienced). The grandpa is also absolutely iconic and has some of the funniest lines in the whole film kjsdjkds

The vampires (bar David) sadly don't get a whole lot of unique personality -although they've got some incredible fashion sense- but I have a bit of a bias for Marko mainly due to being played by Alex Winter (even if his hair is absolutely atrocious even for the 80s </3)

I'm yet to read the novelisation (but fully intend to when I can find a copy), but in that the other Lost Boys are apparently given a bit more personality; Dwayne likes skateboarding and Paul regularly tries to cheer up Star by being funny, traits I wish we could've seen in the movie.

The bridge scene is extremely iconic, and the climax is only of my favourites in a horror movie. Whilst the Lost Boys may be lacking in unique personality, they more than make up for it with their extremely memorable deaths. Paul gets some more characterisation during the attack too: Whilst it's of course a mission to retrieve Star and Laddie, it's also to get revenge for Marko's death (and the fact Paul seeks out the Frogs specifically whilst aiming to fully kill them, makes me think he's the most affected by Marko's death).

And the twist as to who the head vampire was, I genuinely did not see it coming when I first watched it. The Lost Boys brought new rules to the table as to how vampires operate and they were excellent new rules, I went into the film expecting only the "standard" vampire rules and was caught completely off-guard by the end.

It's an extremely good movie with a good balance of comedy (even if it's not billed as such) and horror and I highly recommend it, although if blood makes you squeamish you might want to look away during the vampire death scenes (especially Paul's 😬)

Also I would absolutely love to ramble about The Thing there's literally never a time I won't want to talk about it. I've finally put together my thoughts on each mystery throughout the film, now I know there's even a small audience for it I'll put my thoughts into a post soonish👀

I'm a big fan of recycling the same lines in the same story haha so I'm happy you enjoyed that little bit. The longing! It's so raw to write at times because I know Pedri and Unai will see each other in the next chapter, but it's almost like I feel lonely for them during the chapters they don't see each other. today was a good day overall. i think. i spent the whole day with my friend and we a) did school work b) made some silly crafts c) watched a movie & listened to music. i made myself a cd with aot picture on it and it looks very cool. i just have nowhere to put it (yet).

also!!!!!! i didn't say this earlier but a got a locket necklace from my grandpa as a gift for my bday and i put a picture of levi and erwin inside of it. <3333 i will now wear it 24/7. always.

You smiled and ran up to Kakyoin, pressing a kiss on his cheek. You and Kakyoin had been secretly dating since you landed in Singapore and to hide it, you have both woken up early to take a walk around the hotel before everyone else gets up.

You had to admit it felt silly to be hiding something like this, but also a little fun. Plus, if your cousin, Jotaro, found out, he would be on your ass about staying on task and not worrying about stupid stuff like relationships. And your grandpa, Joseph, found out, you would never be able to have a moment alone with Kakyoin.

You didn't want to seem off task or like you didn't care about the actual mission at hand, so you and Kakyoin just spent your time together early in the morning and late at night before doing actual work throughout the day.

“Did you sleep well last night?” You asked Kakyoin, watching the warm sun rise.

“I did,” he smiled and placed a small kiss on your cheek. “How about you?”

“Pretty good. There was a loud train outside though, but other than that, it was pretty nice.”

“Well, at least you got some sleep.” Kakyoin sat down on a bench, patting the open spot next to him for you to sit down.

You gladly sat down and rested in his arms watching the sun on the ocean. Waking up now was actually a nice thing, not only because you got to see Kakyoin and spend some alone time with him, but you also got to see the sun rise in tons of different countries, which a lot of people can't say they’ve seen.

You snuggled into Kakyoin’s arms, feeling yourself drift off to sleep again, when you heard a very familiar laugh.

“Don't get me laughing like that, Polnareff, gonna make my knees go out!” Joseph wiped a tear from laughing so hard and you panicked. There wasn't enough time to get out of Kakyoin’s arms, and even before you thought of that, Jotaro made eye contact with you, following right behind his grandfather.

Your eyes went wide and you turned to Kakyoin, trying to figure out a cover up. But everyone saw you at this point and knew what you were up to. Joseph ran over and said, “How long have you two been snuggling?!?!”

You shrugged and went to say something when Jotaro grabbed the tip of his hat and shook his head with his iconic “yare yare daze”.

Kakyoin just giggled and made the situation worse and your face more red by placing a huge kiss on your cheek.

Polnareff ran up with tears nearly in his eyes. “Oh my goodness!! You two are so cute together!!!” He sniffled back some tears and grabbed Kakyoin’s hands. “You better treat her well, alright? You better take her on the most lovely dates! I know a great place in France.”

Everyone began bombarding the two of you and you couldn't help but giggle and apologize for hiding this from everyone.

Jotaro wasn't too amused though and just told everyone to pack their bags and go while Polnareff was crying in Avdol’s arms about how cute the two of you were.

I don’t even know how I beat both Emerson and jacks, the entire time I was just spinning a wheel and vaguely being like “oh yeah, my finesse is high”, I’m so sorry because even though I played through the entire demo I have not picked up a single bit of strategy or knowledge about tennis. It went through one ear and out the other, but god do you write the matches so beautifully. I was on the edge of my seat, clutching my pearls, literally had to close my eyes as I picked an option cause I was so worried about losing. The laser tag part was arguably my favourite though!!! I passed my mother out in the hallway getting water and she asked me why I was laughing so hard. Thank you so much for writing this!!! Ideal dates for the ROs below the cut! (I only included one each, but I can imagine them enjoying more than one type of date!)

Tobin

Tobin and MC drive upstate, to visit a quaint little town. They stumble across a large thrift store and goof around with the dusty treasures, chat with the thrift shop owner and end up getting a bunch of silly things for each other (owner practically gives 'em away for free). They get brunch in a local diner/coffee shop, then hike in a forested national park nearby. Tobin's hand finds its way into MC's as they walk, and they follow a little creek through the trees, chatting and laughing. They grab a cinnamon doughnut before heading back.

Rayyan

Rayyan invites MC back home with them over the summer. In the morning, they go for a quick dip in a freezing-cold lake, then lie on a rock to dry-off, allowing the sun to slowly warm their skin. Then they head home and help their mother prepare lunch —a hugely elaborate affair—and spend the afternoon in the living room, napping/playing with the cat/chatting with their grandpa/siblings. Rayyan is... different with their family; more relaxed, at ease, and MC gets to see a side of them that they rarely see at training.

G

G and MC spontaneously take a bus downtown one afternoon, to attend an obscure Altai throat-singing concert that G heard of from a random brochure. It's a strange, but mind-blowing experience, and they stay to chat with some of the singers after, and they recommend a restaurant in the next town that serves amazing food. G and MC end up getting a lift from them so they can eat there for dinner; across the candle-lit table, G reaches for MC's hand. They spend the long bus ride back chatting until G falls asleep on MC's shoulder.

Sam

Sam and MC have known each other for a long time, but Sam still always finds a way to cook up some chaotic new adventure—like the time they ended up brewing purple rice wine in Sam's kitchen because they "watched a cool YouTube video". Now that Sam's in UCLA, MC has also been treated to all the best sites in the city of lights, long afternoons spent on the beach, playing beach volleyball, watching the sunset, getting tacos, then driving out to the desert to see the stars.
