Imagine Being With Acrisius When the Truth About Zeus is Revealed
Summary: You’ve stood beside King Acrisius for decades as his queen, the mother of five of his children, and the quiet force behind his rise. But when the truth of Zeus’s comes to light, everything shifts. Your heart remains tangled: you love Acrisius, but your concern for his nephew and your own buried guilt forces you to make a choice. Pairing: Acrisius x Reader Word Count: ~1,200 Warnings: Canon-typical violence, betrayal themes
Tumblr media
You saw the signs before Acrisius even said a word.
The way his hand tightened around the edge of the carved table. The way his jaw clenched when the messenger was gone. And that look, not rage, not yet. No grief either. Just that morbid, biting silence that came when something he believed in shattered.
You didn't say anything at first. You simply approached him, gently placing your hand on his shoulder.
"I guess the rumors are true," you said quietly.
Acrisius didn't look at you. "Zeus. That thing, he was never just a story." His voice was low in a way he would never have let anyone hear. "He deceived us all. He manipulated my brother and my family."
Your heart broke up knowing how much he hated being manipulated, and also deceived by the only god they trust.
You watching him out of the corner of your eye. "He has already done it before, Your brother isn't the first, and he won't be the last."
He finally turned to you. "And you knew that?"
"I suspected. I didn't tell you because… I wasn't sure. And I knew how it would feel."
Something flashed in his eyes. Not anger. Something softer. Worn. "You should have told me anyway."
You sighed and looked away. "I've kept much worse secrets, Acrisius. You know that." Keeping Electra's secret and her affair with the thunder god a secret.
The silence between you stretched, heavy with history. The kind that needs no explanation. Five children. A kingdom wrested by ambition and bloodshed. A throne almost within reach, and now this.
"Are you still planning to take the throne?" she asked after a moment.
He looked at you and turned his head toward the fire, as he felt your arms around his upper body. "Of course. Periander is weak. The people sense it. He's not ready."
"But his sons," you whispered to your husband.
That's when his hesitation showed. Just for a moment.
"I know," he said.
You didn't need to say more. He knew how you viewed them. Periander's children, yet to be born to Electra, are the greatest obstacle for the two strategists. Acrisieus always looked at you as if you were his most precious possession in the entire kingdom.
Acrisius stepped closer. His fingers gently touched your elbow. "You're not getting sentimental, are you?". "You're not getting sentimental, are you?"
You smiled faintly. "Don't act surprised. You married me for my wit, not my cruelty."
"Sometimes I wish it were the other way around."
You sniffed softly. "Liar. They're your family too," she said in a softer voice. "Yes, they are, but only by blood."
"That's what makes our mission more difficult."
He looked at you as if he could almost see the fear beneath your calm. "Your sons won't hesitate. They were raised for it. You've seen to that."
"I know." You finally turned to him. "That's why I have to hesitate. I'm the only one who does."
Another long silence.
He broke it first. "Do you love me?"
The question was sudden. Simple. So rarely asked between two people who had lived lives full of adventure, sex, pleasure, and strategy.
You blinked. "Why are you asking me this now?"
"Answer yes or no."
You thought about it. Really. About what love had meant to you both, in the stolen nights, in the battles fought side by side, for the children raised between duty and ambition. You weren't sure it was the kind of love poets speak of.
But it was real. You nodded once. "Yes."
He rested his forehead against yours, tired, angry, but anchored to you. "Then don't go."
"I'm not going," you murmured. "But I'll stand between them. If I have to. I won't let our sons slaughter children just to wear a crown."
"I know," he replied softly.
His hand joined yours, worn, warm and comforting. And for the first time, that night, he didn't pull away. You remained naked in your bed. and share an intimate moment.
You stood together in the firelight, surrounded by maps, parchments, and broken plans.
But you remained his anchor. And he was still the only one who saw you for all that you were: mother, queen, lover, mistress, and protector.
Perhaps, love was more than that: something no god could take away from you two.
A/N: As a promise first imagine of Blood of Zeus !!! Hope u like it! I just finished the tv-show yesterday !! Hope u like this one. I just warned u but there are going to be all the type of the tv-show character : Villains, antagonist and heros...

I made the mistake of reading this in class and nearly gave myself away I was trying so hard not to laugh XDD I asked because, well, this came to mind:
The Host’s shoulders lifted as his body tensed, tentacles curling up against his body involuntarily as hot air blew across his back, disrupting his hair and leaving his gills vulnerable. It took conscious effort not to grimace or otherwise cringe away from the sensations, the steely gaze of the protective golem palpable even without narration. However, he couldn’t suppress the great shudder that ran up his spine when a massive cold wet nose pressed boldly against his skin, hands balling into shaky fists and goosebumps rising across his arms. Faint whiskers tickled his neck, flexing and wiggling as the Sphinx sniffed curiously, more large huffs of hot meat scented breath threatening to choke the half-cephalopod.
“Host,” Blue warned lightly, although it was hard to tell which of them he was talking to- the siren turned octopus or the Sphinx. Most likely his master, although the Host could never be too careful in this situation, especially as he felt the curl of a lip behind him. It was all too easy to imagine the massive fangs in that gaping maw, as long as his head and gleaming white. Last he’d checked, sushi was not on the menu today.
Apparently, his feline counterpart didn’t receive that memo because the rasp of a rough bumpy tongue licked up the Host’s neck, curling over the back of his head and flicking up over his forehead, pulling all of his hair forward and into his face. He would forever deny the undignified squeaking noise he most definitely did not make, as well as the way his tentacles writhed and spasmed under him, tangling into disturbed knots of anxiety as the full force of the sensation settled into his mind and body.
“Host!” Blue snapped, sounding both annoyed and resigned, as if he had the ability of foresight instead of them and had expected this to happen.
Iplier, a presence the Host had pretty much forgotten at this point, snickered at his side, chittering with poorly concealed laughter. He gave up all pretense of politeness a moment later, loud guffaws of amusement finally convincing the Host to take a moment and gather stock of his surroundings, at least to distract himself from the rapidly cooling saliva sticking his hair up in ridiculous configurations.
His mind’s eye supplied him with the admittedly hilarious expression upon the Sphinx’s face; lips curled and muzzle scrunched, the beast had stuck his tongue out and turned his nose up, as if he’d licked a lemon instead of his counterpart.
“Salty,” the Sphinx supplied in a deep rumbling voice, lifting a paw to rub at his mouth, although the action didn’t seem to help much.
“What were you expecting?” Iplier wheezed, leaning against him now, which seemed like a bit much but the Host allowed it. He lifted a tentacle to rub over his hair, pushing it away from his sodden bandages and into a poor semblance of neatness. He froze again, however, when the looming presence of the Sphinx returned, hot breath and-
“Well don’t do it again!” Iplier cried, near-hysterical in his belly laughs as he squeezed himself between the two, pushing at the Sphinx’s nose to get him to back off.

Continue the story...
She finished the last stroke of crimson with her blood-soaked fingertips, completing the pentagram sprawling across the floor.
She stood up from the concrete ground slowly, dusting herself off and wiping blood on her snow-white dress in the process. She didn’t mind; it was the same stuff she used to make her lips so red.
Suddenly the bloodstained skirt of her dress and her curls of honey hair were flailing behind her as the pentagram exploded into smoke and sparks. She stumbled backward, coughing and waving dark plumes away as the sparks swirled around in the air and took the bliding form of a...well, something. It could have been a man, if not for the ethereal silhouette of horns and the slow eruption of a wicked sound mimicking a laugh.
From the fog and blitz of fire the figure of light began to dim, solidifying into a terrifying humanoid myriad of fangs, horns, claws, and ruby skin. It cackled, the echoes reverating in the air and shaking the concrete pillars suspending the building.
“Your blood was only the beginning of your atonement for the sin of summoning my ungodly form, foolish mor-”
“Hello, baby!” The woman cooed at the beast.
“Persephone!” The fumes sizzled away in the air, leaving only Hades gaping at his bubbling wife. It should have been impossible for his skin to become any redder, and yet somehow it was accomplished. “You’re not supposed to summon me while I’m working..”
“I know, I know, but you’re just so smoking hot…” A giggle burst from her lips before she could raise a hand to stifle it. “Get it? Because you’ve got this cute fire thing going on..”
“Even beyond the unprofessionalism, you shouldn’t be drawing pentagrams in the middle of parking garages.” Hades shook his head, turning slowly around to examine the pentagram. “It’s quite fine craftsmanship, my flower, but you’ll terrify the humans!”
“Oh, the teens who hang out around here could use a good scare, anyway. Builds character.” Persephone nodded as though agreeing with herself. “And it’s not just that. I wanted to show you something…”

Morphed Mythos: The Minotaur- A Monster Made
They had called him a monster.
And yes, he was born a beast. But they made him a monster. The maze made him a monster.
King Minos had left the Minotaur in the maze with only two memories; the first of the King locking eyes with the calf whose head was mounted on a human child’s form, and the second of the grand doors to the labyrinth clanging shut and snatching away any light he may have used to see his way around.
And so for years he was confused and isolated, perpetually turning the corners and wandering the corridors of the maze that had driven him around and around into insanity. The darkness and the silence left his head empty and stretched his mind into realms it should never have entered. He began to hear voices who on the good days would sing beautifully as he waltzed after them and lost himself not in the halls but in their song, and on the bad ones mocked him and urged him to charge into them with his twisted, pointed horns if only he could find them.
But that wasn’t the worst part of his eternal sentence. It was the human sacrifices the King sent him, which he ravaged in hunger and insanity. It was losing his humanity to his beastliness. For when a human was lowered into his cage he would lunge for them blindly, the fire in his stomach spurring his actions. But after he finished dining he would anguish over the mangled corpse in his wake, burdened with grief and the knowledge that he had murdered his half kinsman.
He would pound against the walls and let his suffering tear from his throat and shake his confounding cage and the castle above it, but the King and Queen ignored him. They had banished him like they banished every other mistake, every other unpleasant thought that plagued them. If he escaped, he vowed, he would let them know what it means to face consequences for their misdeeds.
But Princess Ariadne heard his roars - his screams and pleas - that shook the castle, and despite her father’s insistence that they were thundering threats she knew they were her brother’s cries of agony. They kept her awake at night with their sorrow as her heart yearned to help him.
So when the arrogant Theseus swaggered in from a far away land, confidently - naively, she thought, for how many others had tried and failed - promising her father that he would slay the Minotaur, Araidne jumped at the chance to help. She offered him a solution to her brother’s confounding cage in the form of a thread the young prince could tie to the maze’s entrance and use to find his way back. Once he defeated the Minotaur, she was sure to emphasize with a swoon. She watched him charge into battle armed with the double-edged sword she had given him.
When Theseus came jolivanting into the maze the Minotaur made quick work of the young lad. In the aftermath when the Minotaur’s hunger faded into regret as he stood over the prince’s body, he noticed a string not far away. And in that second, the world became his to take.
Araidne was the one to alert her parents when the Minotaurs bangs were heard at the entrance of the maze. She knew he could slay the young lad and that sending Thesus in the maze with a rope was likely giving the Minotaur both a hearty meal and a change at freedom. She smiled to herself as her parents left the castle in a panic, ornaments tumbling over and chunks of the palace’s pillars and ceilings crashing down around them with the might of the Minotaur’s wrath. It was clear the doors could not hold him forever, and the architect who had managed to contain him in the first place had long since flown away.
Of course, this isn’t the story the humiliated King would tell once he fled.
The Minotaur roared as he emerged from the maze, flexing his muscles as the debris of the castle fell and plumed up clouds of dust around him.
They had called him a monster. And now that he was out, “monster” would be the kindest word they could use to describe him.

"And baby, I didn't get myself some nerves of steel for nothing. The world is just better with you as a player. No matter how low your lows get. I am here to help you make the world your oyster. I am here for it all. And I am not afraid." mythau!Lucas is an asshole but also, I love him 🥺🥺 I love the way he loves his Eliott
Ahhhhhh thank youu I loved writing that bit 💗💗💗 i think it ties into what I love most about Elu, that their love is not an idealized promise of perpetual smooth sailing waters but a commitment to work through any storm 💙💙💙

Here’s the second set of edits for @mythbits !!! This time we’ve got Jackalope Dr. Iplier, Harpy Jims, and Automotaun Bing!
Side note I really hope the galaxy behind Bing is actually orange rather than red or green because I cannot tell the difference between those colors. If it’s not orange, blame google images for lying to me.
