Infested AU-

Sonic, under the influence of a mysterious alien brain parasite, has become unpredictable and very, very dangerous. While all his powers remain the same, he now uses his speed to maim and kill anyone who moves. Sonic’s mental state has devolved to basic instinct, and, thanks to the parasite, he is in a near-constant state of feeling like a wild animal trapped in a corner. As a result, he will call upon impossible strength, reserved only for life-or-death scenarios. Pray you don’t catch his attention. You can’t outrun the fastest thing alive.

Sonic Thunderstorm AU-

Sonic the Hedgehog is an Egyptian Long-Eared Hedgehog. Sonic has major Electrokinesis and major Aerokinesis and major Cháokinesis. Sonic is an aromantic quoiromantic asexual aegosexual intersex pangender bordergender narkissigender genderspeed hedgehog with ADHD, BPD, and NPD who uses any pronouns, including storm/storms, ⛈️/⛈️s, thunder/thunders, 🌩️/🌩️s, gale/gales, 🌀/🌀s, bree/breeze, and 🍃/🍃s pronouns. Sonic is a result of the Ultimate Lifeform Project specifically Project Kinesis, a search to cure aging, discover the genes responsible for Kinetic Abilities, and grant Mobian Kinetic Abilities to humans. Many Mobians with Kinetic Abilities were kidnapped and bred to have their abilities studied resulting in the birth of Sonic, their pink and green siblings, and many others. Around the age of 3 - 5 Sonic and well as their mother and two siblings escaped the lab only to drown in the ocean during their get away leaving Sonic as the sole survivor and with an intense fear of water. After being saved from drowning they were put the foster system where they were they were often bullied or excluded by the other children and past around from home to home sometimes being treated well but other times being abused their adoptive families and that combined with never having a stable home leads to them developing BPD. Around the age of 12 - 13 Sonic gets tired of feeling unloved by both the foster homes they lived at and by the people who adopted them only to later throw them away so Sonic decides to run away in the hopes of finding someone who will genuinely care about them. While struggling to survive on their own the hedgehog starts to encounter Eggman and quickly becomes a thorn in his side. Also while searching for a home they encounter Tails, a DID system who is being abused by their family and bullied due to being Autistic. Sonic, sympathetic to their new friend's suffering, encourages them to run away with them to find somewhere better to live. While on their quest for a happy home the two become known for stopping Eggman's evil deeds resulting a couple named Darron Bolos Segaleh and Ilaiya Gotzone Nailah coming to adopting the two. The relationship starts of sweet but in reality Darron really only cares about using to two as mascots for his company and isn't above mistreating and abusing his children when they do something that makes his company loses money or negatively impacts their image. Being treated like a prince when succeeding and as worthless after every mistake leads to Sonic developing NPD. After growing up Sonic eventually goes on to live in a house with a number of their friends including Tails and Sonic is able to finally start recovering from everything that happened to them although they find recovery incredibly difficult. Sonic is a sweet person but is very emotional unstable which can lead to them make mistakes or hurting themself.

Systemgender: A gender which is defined as a sum of all the genders within a multiple or median system.

A nonbinary gender experienced by members of a multiple and/or median system. Other systems can also come up with names. (i.e. headmates all have different nonbinary genders but are looking for something to describe the gender of the system as a whole.)

Note: only for those in multiple and/or median systems.

Systemfluid: Genders that change depending on who’s fronting, for DID/multiples.

Illusogender: When you know you’re a certain gender, but there’s still the feeling of ‘fakeness’ there, either due to neurodivergency and/or due to outside pressure from parents, society, etc. These feelings and/or pressures can be part of the gender experience. (It’s illusogender, just to make things clear because apparently capitalized i looks the same as lower case L here)

Vaguegender or Gendervague: A gender being mostly or around a certain gender (or mostly around a certain gender), but is only approximate on account of difficulty defining it due to one’s neurodivergence.

Pendogender: “Never being satisfied with your gender no matter how well it fits due to self-doubt, causing one to compulsively search and seek out something that fits even better. Gender perfectionism.

This term is exclusive to neurodivergent people only, specifically coined with people with anxiety disorders, OCD, and OCPD in mind.

Xumgender: Never being satisfied with your gender due to constant self-doubt or identity issues, causing one to compulsively search and seek out something that fits as perfect as possible–to find “the gender” or “the one truth”–though one will never be found due to one’s neurotype, because words will never be able to describe it, and/or its own properties paradox itself. This frequent anxiety and doubt even causes this gender to feel imperfect to the individual.

Narkissisgender or Narkissigender: An egotistical gender, viewing itself in a high position and wanting and/or needing praise. Should only be used by those who have narcissistic personality disorder. Can be combined with relevant genders (boy, girl, xirl, boi, nonbinary, enby, nb, etc).

Corugender or Flashgender: A gender identity that changes during and around flashbacks. For use by people with PTSD or other mental illnesses causing flashbacks only.

Commogender: When you know you aren’t cis, but you settle with boy or girl for the time being.

A feeling that one is definitely not cis, but is unable to define what their gender is due to mental exhaustion. May be used as commoboy/commogirl if the person identifies with a binary gender for convenience.

Cyclogender:

1) A gender identity that changes with one’s menstrual cycle.

2) Describes a bipolar person whose gender identity is tied to what type of episode (manic, hypomanic, depressive, mixed, etc.) they are experiencing at that moment.

Cloudgender: A gender which can’t be fully realized or seen clearly due to depersonalization/ derealization disorder. A Neurodivergent gender.

Caedogender or Caedgender: A gender which has been “cut away” by a traumatic event.

Bordergender, or Borderfluid: A fluctuating gender experienced exclusively by people with BPD. A gender identity lacking a firm grasp on one’s identity, while still experiencing gender, to varying degrees, but having trouble pinning it down to just one label or identity. Having the sense of grasping at labels as much as possible to describe a gender one keeps questioning because one keeps second guessing one’s sense of self and, consequentially, one’s sense of gender.

Autigender: A gender which can only be understood in the context of being autistic.

Fascigender: A gender experience largely related to a special interest; for autistic folk.

Affectugender: A gender that is affected by one’s neurodivergency especially fluctuating moods, e.g. feeling like a boy during depressive episodes and feeling more like a demigirl during happy episodes. Note: for people with mood disorders and personality disorders only. From the latin affectus (to feel).

Angegender: A gender where you can’t describe it with any word but hatred or anger. Usable only by neurodivergent people with mental illnesses that cause anger or hate.

C-Gender, O-Gender, and OC-Gender: A set of gender identities that are heavily influenced or defined by one’s OCD. The variations describe a feeling that one’s gender is influenced or defined by obsessions only (O-Gender), by compulsions only (C-Gender), or by both obsessions and compulsions (OC-Gender).

Cavusgender: For people with depression. You feel one gender when not depressed and another when depressed. The gender felt whilst depressed can be attached as a suffix (eg cavusboy, cavusgirl, cavusnonbinary, cavusace.)

Divigender: A feeling that one’s gender is split or divided due to a dissociative disorder. For neurodivergent people who experience dissociation only.

Foggender: A gender which is close to a certain gender, but cannot be directly pinpointed due to brainfog (a lack of concentration or wakefulness associated with ADHD, fibromyalgia, depression, etc.) Can be combined with relevant genders. See also: Vaguegender.

Genderanxious: A gender that is undefined because the act of finding a label, or of having a gender, is a trigger for anxiety.

Genderdisordered: A gender that is heavily influenced by, or unable to be defined because of disorganized thinking or a thought disorder.

Genderfake: Feeling that your gender is part of your hallucinations or delusions. For people who experience delusions or hallucinations as part of their mental illness or neurodivergence only.

Gendermute: A label for selectively mute people, which describes a gender that can only be expressed at certain times, in safe environments.

Genderwhat: Being unable to understand the concept of gender or of having a gender due to neurodivergence.

Imnigender: A gender defined by anxiety. Not “your gender makes you anxious” so much as “anxiety is your gender”. Note: only to be used by people with anxiety disorders.

Kynigender: A gender which is not able to be pinpointed due to the stress of the questioning process causing anxiety. See also: Anxiegender, Genderanxious, Imnigender.

Lipsigender: A gender which, when thought about, triggers bouts of depression. From greek “katathlipsi” meaning depression. For use only by those with depression/depressive disorders.

Ludogender: A gender which has a core, but the individual mirrors (copies) the genders of other individuals. A neurodivergent only gender.

Maestusgender: In which the individual’s brain chemical imbalance obscures, masks, or otherwise distorts their self perception and stunts their ability to determine gender identity. This term is exclusive to neurodivergent people.

Malagender: A gender which is created or influenced by maladaptive daydreaming or fantasy prone personalities. For example a malagender person might feel male usually but their gender may feel more nonbinary during a maladaptive daydreaming episode. A gender specific to people who experience maladaptive daydreaming due to a neurodivergence such as: schizotypal personality disorder, schizoid personality disorder, schizophrenia or similar.

Mimicnull: A gender that is purely mimicry and reaction to outside stimuli. You have no real baseline gender, just an absence where your gender would be. (Designed for neurodivergent folks but anyone can use it).

Monstergender: Someone who has a weak or even no sense of gender with feelings of inhumanity replacing the missing sense of gender identity. Mostly intended for neurodivergent people.

Nesciogender or Nesciōgender: A gender one is not completely sure of due to one’s neurotype disallowing a clear understanding of the concept, but has a vague sense of what it could be; i.e. nescioboy, nescioagender, etc. Latin nesciō “I do not know”

Nōlōgender: A term for neurodivergent people who have difficulty grasping the concept of gender. Distinct from nesciōgender in that the individual has no particular desire to investigate their gender, as doing so is overly difficult due to their inability to understand the concept of gender. From latin nōlō, ((i) do not want).

Posigender and Negagender: A feeling that one’s gender is defined by or influenced by positive (posigender) or negative (negagender) symptoms of their schizophrenia.

Skhizeingender: A gender that is strongly connected to schizophrenia, or having a gender that is difficult to describe or communicate because of being schizophrenic. This term is exclusive to individuals with schizophrenia or schizophrenia related symptoms. Pronounced: sk-heez-ein-gender

Technogender: Only comfortable with one’s gender when using technology/online, usually because of social anxiety (Specialized for people with anxiety disorders).

Traumatgender , Traumatagender, Trautgender or Trauatgender: A gender that varies; it can change a lot, it could be unknown, it could just be there, it could be nonexistent, etc. whatever it is, it was based from intense trauma. should only be used by those who have experienced or are going through what they consider intense trauma. Derived from the word “trauma”

Virgender: A gender identity that feels weakened by stress, to the point where one is nearly genderless. Based on the zodiac sign Virgo.

Superigender: When your gender and/or presentation is influenced by your superiors. It could be that you're trying to be like them, impress them, or something else. Only for those with NPD.

genders:

alexigender: when you are unable to describe your gender/orientation due to neurodivergency - you can’t put it into words. you may have a vague idea of what your gender/orientation is (for example, alexiboy or alexipan), or none at all. for use by those with alexithymia, which may be part of another disorder such as autism, schizo-spectrum disorders, or borderline personality disorder

bordergender: a fluctuating gender experienced exclusively by those with borderline personality disorder. a gender lacking a firm grasp on one’s identity, while still experiencing gender to various degrees, but having trouble pinning it down to just one label/identity. having the sense of grasping at labels as much as possible to describe a gender one keeps questioning because they keep second-guessing their sense of self and, consequentially, their sense of gender.

borderix: a gender related to borderline personality disorder in some way - feels stronger when the person has a favorite person and feels almost nonexistent without one

exagender: a gender that is defined/influenced by whether they believe people will approve of it or not, usually with splitting, and is in contrast with actual experience of gender. only for those with borderline personality disorder.

focigender: a gender that is influenced by/shifts with one’s hyperfixations/obsessions. coined with those with adhd and bpd in mind, but can be used by any neurodivergent person who experiences a strong focus on things

rencgender: a gender that confuses and infuriates the person whose gender it is because of their bpd, causing them to impulsively collect labels trying to find one that fits. only for those with bpd

rouene/rouegender: when you have multiple genders due to being neurodivergent. one listed example is a person with bpd who splits on thier gender, becoming or identifying more strongly with another gender and potentially going back to the original identity later.

genderkrieg: when you have multiple genders that harshly contradict with each other. only for those with personality disorders

ignotumgender: a gender defined by confusion, with various levels of intricacy in the person’s gender and identity. only to be used by those who deal with depersonalization, derealization, dissociation, depression, personality disorders, or other mental health conditions that could cause confusion or a lack of self

affectugender: a gender affected by one’s neurodivergency, especially in fluctuating moods. only for those with mood disorders and/or personality disorders

histriogender/histrionix: a gender relating to histrionic personality disorder in some way. usually entails a gender that changes in order to please others and/or to become more unique/noticeable. may change very rapidly depending on surroundings/situations. only for those with hpd

narkissigender/narkissisgender: an egotistical gender, viewing itself in a high position and wanting and/or needing praise. only for those with narcissistic personality disorder

genderincimicus: a gender experience that cannot be fully felt/comprehended/understood, because every time one attempts to meditate on their gender and determine what it is/is not, they feel a great sense of unease/anxiety, begin to panic, or become greatly distressed/distraught/angry/frustrated/etc over not being able to make the determination. this gender inherently involves an anxious/panicked/distressed sense. the person is therefore at great odds with their gender, and this is all they can know for certain, even if they can approximate what else their gender entails. coined primarily for those with personality disorders and anxiety disorders, but is not neurodivergent-exclusive

incertagender/aselfgender: when one has no true gender due to a shaky sense of self. only for those with bpd

orientations:

border-(sexual/romantic/etc): an aspec identity in which one cannot distinguish between types of attraction due to the symptoms of borderline personality disorder

bpdemi: a term for borderline demisexuals/demiromantics/etc who are not demi- in relation to a favorite person and therefore don’t have the possibility of a lack of attraction at first

echo-(sexual/romantic/etc): when you only feel attraction to people that you see as extensions of yourself/that you see yourself as an extension of due to neurodivergence, especially difficulty in expressing empathy or empathy deficits (such as in narcissistic personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, or autism) or extreme attachment to and desire to be engulfed by a favorite/depended person (such as borderline personality disorder or dependent personality disorder)

echopelu-(sexual/romantic/etc): when you only feel attraction to stuffed animals that you see as extensions of yourself/that you see yourself as an extension of due to neurodivergence, especially difficulty in expressing empathy or empathy deficits (such as in narcissistic personality disorder, antisocial personality disorder, or autism) or extreme attachment to and desire to be engulfed by a favorite/depended toy (such as borderline personality disorder or dependent personality disorder)

renc-(sexual/etc): an orientation that confuses and infuriates the person whose gender it is because of their bpd, causing them to impulsively collect labels trying to find one that fits. only for those with bpd

depend-(sexual/etc): an orientation in which attraction only occurs with one’s depended(s). can be used to describe any kind of attraction felt solely within the context of depended personality disorder. only for those with dpd.
