Nanase Haruka

🐬Usually Haruka is the type of person who likes to avoid conflict and trouble. He doesn't like dealing with such things as he likes to stay submerged in his own world with the people he knows and trusts. He's not overly fond of strangers. That's why it takes quite a bit to get to know him properly in the first place. Whilst you have no problems to strike a conversation with others like Nagisa or Makoto, Haruka stays quiet and in the background. It's left up to his childhood friends in Makoto and Rin to encourage him to at least try to interact with you, both unaware what they are about to unleash. Still, Haruka gives you mostly the silent treatment. He doesn't talk much with you but he is being polite when you are around. Yet you stay oblivious to the way he starts watching over you, unaware how blue eyes start zooming in on you the moment you enter a room. Perhaps because you consider the thought that Haruka of all people would be interested in you to be very ridiculous. He'd marry the ocean if he could and you doubt that there is anything or anyone he could get obsessed with as much as water. You've seen him strip down in an aquarium and you know he was dead serious about it.

🐬It's much more comfortable this way though, for Haruka it is at least. To watch quietly from the distance even though he himself has no idea why he is doing this in the first place. He's just following his instincts here as his body guides him as naturally as when he is in water. Only that he isn't in water but in the real world where he keeps on quietly orbiting around you. Never quite close enough for you to get suspicious but enough for him to keep you in his vision. Obviously he doesn't talk to anyone about it. Not when even he doesn't understand what is going on with him. Why do you keep on appearing in his mind? Even when he dives deep under the surface he cannot forget about you. Even in the water you haunt him and it confuses him deeply. You can expect a solid few months of silence from his side before slowly he starts to understand. Even then he doesn't get everything quite right. He acknowledges that he wants you but he doesn't acknowledge that his feelings go just that tad bit too far. So far his only obsession has been water and he has submerged himself in it completely. He does a similar thing now that he is getting obsessed with you.

🐬Jealousy with Haruka is is like most things are with Haruka. It's a quiet slow-burn of which you are unfortunately most of the time not aware of. How could you when he never speaks up? It is always the same. That silent stare somewhere from the distance and that unpleasant tug in his chest yet rarely does Haruka act on it. He observes instead quietly with a mute intensity that goes unnoticed by most. A direct confrontation with most things is not his style but that usually means that he is left sitting in his feelings until the final drop overflows the barrel. With jealousy it is a very similar process. He watches and he denies even if you were to specifically ask him about his emotions. If he keeps on denying it and never lets you in on his feelings, there is little you believe you can do which then continues the cycle until Haruka has had enough. He approaches when no one else is around, might even randomly appear behind you when you are on your way home to ask you about that person that has been a thorn in his eyes for a longer while now. It frightens you because you always realise just how much Haruka must have watched you in order to know all of this.

🐬Reluctant and quite unwilling to get into arguments or a charged confrontation, you should always keep in mind that Haruka gets very protective over the people that he cherishes. He never expected to feel so deeply for you in the first place when he met you but now he is here. In many cases he is always trying to swim his way around a conflict as good as he can. Surprisingly enough though? He's quite good at it. Perhaps because he observes so much or perhaps because he stays usually calm and manages to make the other person look ridiculous as they lash out and he doesn't which makes him appear like the level-headed one. Yet the fact that he remains protective is undeniable. He always steps in front of you. He observes your own reactions and how you feel in the situation and if it gets too much for you he simply decides that the other person isn't worth it and disappears with you. He leads mostly a very peaceful life and avoids any crisis as good as he can. If someone causes problems though he starts watching quietly and keeps a closer eye on them as well as watching over you more protectively. He's putting in his best effort here for you.

🐬Beyond his dream of pursuing a professional career, it's unlikely that Haruka has ever given the future much thoughts. He just goes with the flow in belief that he will figure things out when their time comes. Then you drift into his life though and suddenly there is something else that he wishes to keep permanently in his life besides his passion and love for water. Only that you are not as available as water is. He has access to water but not to you. That's when Haruka sees himself forced to consider what he is planning to do when both of you graduate from college and start to pursue your own dreams and ambitions. The most natural decision seems to move in together and that is the plan that he pins permanently in his mind from that point on. No further plan how he is supposed to make that happen, just the determination that it has to happen. He may start meddling carefully with your friends to figure out what you plan to do in your later life and how he can work around it so that the both of you end up together. He is genuinely unashamed enough to blunty tell you about his ambition though, either not caring or unaware how that makes him look.

🐬He doesn't like being touched. At first you think he is either being shy or just uncomfortable with it. Neither of your initial suspicions is necessarily wrong. It's just that soon enough you figure out that he is being ticklish when you one time brush your hands over his lips and a stutter of breath escapes him. A laugh stuck in his chest that threatens to come out if he is being touched any more. Eventually he begins courting you but his methods sometimes lack any sensitivity. His confession is blunt and straight to the point and he very openly admits to you his plans about moving in together. You may deny him but he isn't taking it badly as he instead concludes that he will just to keep on trying. I guess he has the spirit to never give up though? He starts cooking for you to win over your affection. Due to his mackerel obsession over half of the things he cooks though includes this fish and even when you tell him that you can't eat it anymore, he continues cooking it and even feeds it to you himself when you don't want to eat. The dates he takes you on? Often near water. You're either taken to the swimming pool or an aquarium where he always insists on you going into the water with him together.

Tachibana Makoto

💚Your friends love him. Your parents love him. Everyone loves Makoto. He's considerate. He's kind. He has everyone wrapped around his fingers. That is his greatest strength but at the same time it is also his greatest weapon. If Makoto says something, expresses a concern of his or tends to be a bit too protective it is you who usually gets the gentle lecture as he is always excused. He wants only the best for you and he just loves you very much. That is what everyone believes and that isn't even a lie. It's the truth. Indeed, he loves you very much and is constantly worried about your welfare and happiness. Makoto's obsession isn't something that crashes down on him abruptly. It's a constant burning light that draws you eventually in a bit too close, never to burn but sometimes just a tad bit too warm for you to be comfortable. That's what makes it so hard for others to ever suspect anything and that is what makes Makoto terrifyingly good at manipulation even though he may not even recognise that potential at first. He just wants to ensure that you are always healthy and happy but the emphasis here is that he does what he believes to be best for you.

💚Makoto is good in making decisions. He always puts people first and he starts to prioritise your wellbeing similarly. It sounds selfless and in a twisted way it also is but it restricts you from making your own decisions. Your own decisions may not always be thought through but slowly it starts to annoy you that everyone always believes that you should consult with him first. You want to think for yourself but worst of all is that you can't even be mad at Makoto for anything. Not when he is always so kind and gentle. He's also very good in sensing your thoughts and feelings. Very similar to how he manages to read Haruka's thoughts, Makoto learns how to intuit your emotions. Sometimes that is comforting as he understands if something is wrong with you without you even needing to say a word. Other times that skill is unnerving as you cannot keep secrets from him as he senses it when you are bothered by something. It may sound strange but you are terrified of the way he is almost so flawlessly perfect. Everyone trusts him and you do too, perhaps a bit too much. He is a source of limitless comfort and love and you fear that one day you may grow too dependent.

💚Jealousy is rare. He is a very trusting soul and not someone who could even be categorised as someone very possessive. A tad bit protective? That absolutely but never would he be the type to isolate you or push you to cut ties with others. He thrives when you are happy and he is basically friends with your friends. In fact they are often the ones who ask you if you can bring him with you and Makoto always ends up tagging along because you don't want to disappoint your friends. Even strangers are charmed quickly by him after they get to know him better. It is mostly quite obvious to people around you anyways what the both of you are when you walk around outside. Makoto always lingers close to you, his gaze protectively on you when you excuse yourself and go elsewhere and normally he always holds your hands when both of you are walking around. Even when people approach and flirt with you, he normally just explains gently but firmly that he is your boyfriend. Even if he wouldn't be, he isn't fond of people who flirt with you and don't stop even when it makes you visibly uncomfortable. He's fine with compliments given to you but doesn't tolerate when people disrespect you and your privacy.

💚Makoto always functions more as a mediator than an aggressor. Really, he always tries to understand the other side before things have to escalate. As someone who was once the leader of a swimming club in high school, he has made his fair share with disputes so he has some experience already. The other surprisingly tricky thing is that he is always nice. Not nice in a way that invites others to step on him but nice in a way where he seemingly doesn't get mad even if he is shielding you protectively. That makes it mainly tricky because then the other person ends up being in the uncomfortable spotlight because it is hard to judge Makoto when he is the one with the friendly and patient look on his face and the one who speaks in a normal and amicable tone. It turns the tables surprisingly quickly and it isn't an unusual experience either that people stand up for him if the fight drags on. It's always interesting to witness because you don't really think he intends to twist the situation in his favor by being so polite but it just happens anyways. Makoto is never complaining though, always grateful when others help and always winning over more hearts.

💚You want to know what the truly funny thing is? Makoto would never cage you in or lock you away. Truth be told, he would let you go even though he would never stop looking out for you and living his life in misery. And yet despite such selfless behavior he still ends up being inescapable. But not because he is the one who gives you hell. No, it's because everyone around you gives you hell. Whether it really is unintentional or because Makoto is secretly a mastermind, he has won everyone over in your life. He is the perfect boyfriend and ideal husband. No matter what reasons you may give, you will never be able to fully escape those judgemental stares neighbours, friends or even your own family give you. None of it is made better by the fact that Makoto is still there. When he hears that you struggle he appears and helps you to the best of his abilities with a pained smile on his face. All of it only paints you as the villain and Makoto doesn't stop either even if you beg him. He loves you. Even if you might not love him anymore he still wants to take care of you. If there should be a day where you break up with him, eventually you will be bullied back into a relationship by your own loved ones.

💚For someone of Makoto's build, he is much more of a scaredy cat than the first glance would let on. But it is adorable to witness how he hides behind you when he gets scared even though his build definitely doesn't manage to disappear behind yours. Other people actively swoon over him and most have been jealous at one point at least once. How could they not when it is Makoto who has the privilege to call himself your boyfriend? There is never a day where he doesn't make you feel loved. He texts you in the morning and his day doesn't officially begin until you text back and he texts you at night before he goes to bed as he can only get a good sleep when you reply. He has a special mandatory special date that the both of you have every week, no matter how stressful college and jobs can be. He learns how to cook meals for you and makes you bento boxes which he always brings you over. With his past as a member in a swimming club you try to do something nice for him once by taking him to the ocean, not aware that he has a phobia of the sea. Makoto never tells you that either. Instead he swallows it all down and smiles for you because he doesn't want you to feel terrible.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hazuki Nagisa

🐧Love at first sight does exist. For Nagisa it does at least for he was a goner the first time he saw you. It was like a moment in a romantic movie. Time slowed down, a halo shone around you and he is pretty sure that he heard the wedding bells somewhere in the back of his mind. That moment changed his life and from that day on you gain a very persistent and infatuated boy who follows you around at all times. It should be obvious but Nagisa has been delusional since the first moment he met you. In his mind there can only be you for him as it must have meant something when he fell so deeply in love with you upon first sight. Perhaps it was destiny even and the both of you are just the perfect match and therefore meant to be together. His stubbornness and inability to back off once he has a goal in mind also has him cling remarkably much to you. You will have to actively avoid him unless you wish for him to follow you like your second dedicated shadow. Distance is something that he despises very much. He already hates it when his friends are doing it and he hates it even more when you are doing it. After all a girlfriend and her boyfriend should spend their time together, shouldn't they?

🐧There is certainly less shame and awareness of boundaries established in this boy, isn't there? How else could he otherwise act like the both of you are already in a relationship? Affection just seems to come naturally to Nagisa and that leads to so many misunderstandings amongst family and friends alike. You only refer to him as an acquaintance or a friend. But Nagisa stretches that definition a lot. He constantly grabs your hands when he walks besides you. He calls you so many nicknames. He hugs you a lot. The way he looks at you is everything but platonic. The most obvious giveaway is that he doesn't call you a friend. He refers to you as his girlfriend and no matter how many times you talk with him about it, he never stops doing it. It is not always sunshine and rainbows with this delusional boy though. At least not when the tears bubble up in his eyes and he starts crying when you push him away. So used are you to that bright and optimistic attitude that such a sight always punches you in the guts. It's a rather effective way of guilt-tripping you and earn sympathy from you and the people around you if you should still choose to ignore him.

🐧Nagisa is like a twitchy dog in matters that involve jealousy. It is hardly a secret that he can't stand being ignored for too long. When he is with you that already short fuse of patience is cut even shorter. He never makes the effort to conceal it either. The pout on his face is quickly visible and others can literally see how he is unable to stand still. He shifts from one leg to the other, plays with the sleeves of his shirt and his gaze is on you all the time. He doesn't even need to speak up as the unspoken neediness reflected in his orbs speaks loud enough. The moment that short string of patience is gone, Nagisa jumps into action immediately. His hands are on you. They grab your own and he intertwines his fingers with you, squeezing your palm. He rests his chin on your shoulders, his warm breath brushing the side of your face softly. He starts whining, complaining about the lack of attention and that you are ignoring him. As a very opinionated individual with a surprising lack of filter he isn't even ashamed to admit to the other person that he doesn't like that they are claiming so much of your attention for themselves. As an attention-seeker he gets so fidgety even when it's friends and family.

🐧As friendly and cheerful as Nagisa is most of the time, he is shockingly unafraid to hold back on his opinions about others. When there is something on his mind he speaks it out loud without caring for how others would react to it. He may not even have bad intentions whilst stating it but he also doesn't consider how others might feel about it. So if he doesn't like someone who hangs around you then he usually lets everyone know that very quickly. He doesn't even hold back if someone were to ask him why exactly he likes that specific individual as he then will give a answer that may be just a bit too honest. There is no playing nice or the long game either. If Nagisa doesn't like someone then that doesn't stay a secret and so even the person in question finds out quickly that Nagisa isn't fond of them. That creates tension and conflict from the very beginning even if Nagisa may still confuse because he keeps that cheerful attitude up only to confirm his dislikes in the next second with a grin on his face. He wouldn't be overly afraid to go down the road of manipulation and guilt-tripping if he were to realise that you tend to favor the other person by setting them up and making himself look like a victim.

🐧The both of you are going to be together. Nagisa has known this since he saw you for the first time. Sure, he may not have a detailed plan of what he is going to do when but he knows that the both of you are going to stand together side by side. You are going to live together and eventually marry. In high school he already starts talking with you about it a lot, ignoring your complaints and interjections whenever you feel the need to correct his illusions. He has forgotten them by the next day anyways as he pushes away all difficult realities that go against his dreamy nature. Once the both of you attend college together the real problem starts. Nagisa has slyly applied to the same university as you so that the both of you can stay together and then he truly starts to be pushy. The both of you can move in together now. It would be far more cost-efficient as both of you could just split up rent. Most rewarding of course though would be that you could live together and spend time together even when college starts to be more stressful. He isn't going to let go of it even when you say no as he believes it is a matter of convincing. That involves spamming your phone and even visiting your current place.

🐧No matter what you do, as soon as Nagisa is with you he always turns it into a couple activity. When you are sitting down somewhere to eat something then he insists on feeding you. He constantly buys strawberry sweets and shares them with you, no matter where the both of you are as he isn't ashamed. In fact he is much more confused why you are so reserved most of the times. Shouldn't people see the two of you being happy and in love together? His mind is full of you all the time, even when he is asleep. You have heard from his friends that he apparently talks in his sleep but it is very much disturbing when it is your name that is constantly being muttered whilst he softly snores away. Others might think it is wholesome but if you lay awake next to him for too long because sleep won't find you it quickly takes a very unnerving turn when he mumbles away about events that happened years ago and he still seems to remember. Restraint is an unknown concept to Nagisa. He literally cannot contain his giddiness when you are around. He just has to touch and smooch you and you usually have a very hard time separating yourself from him as he clings like a koala.

Ryugazaki Rei

🦋Rei in love is a comedic disaster in more ways than one. Logic guides almost all of his actions and he loves to calculate. Emotions though are hardly something that you can just simply calculate like a formula in chemistry. It's unpredictable and hard to grasp so Ryugazaki's obsession not only hits him hard but short-circuits his entire system. Really, he wants to play it cool and exude beauty through his behavior and actions when arouny you yet he is but a boy. He tries way too hard to not fry his emotions that he forgets everything around him. He has literally walked against walls because he was so focused to not twitch or stutter that he didn't even pay attention to where he is walking. In private he suffers from embarrassed meltdowns as he doesn't want to be seen as weird by you yet strangely enough it is that almost adorably clumsy behavior that kind of draws you in. Is Rei happy about that? Absolutely not. He wants to be seen as reliable and capable and not the boy who walks into closed doors or walls with a facial expression he hopes makes him look more stoic and cool. But if it helps him to get closer to you, he guesses he will work with it for now.

🦋His approach in concept is just far too stiff. He relies on logic far too much. He tries to treat it all like something he can tactically plan for and execute. That does include stalking you as he obviously needs the data and information to calculate the best way to approach as well as what he should say and the ideal first gift. If Rei isn't close to you he actually manages to be that calculated and cool individiual he wants to be. It's just that whenever you are around and look at him that his brain malfunctions. That rigid nature that struggles when around you can resort in him trying a bit too much to regain control of the situation which means that you can feel caged in at times. Ryugazaki doesn't know what to do when his own emotions overwhelm his ability to think and he relies too much on them to trust his feelings to make a good decision. So especially at the beginning of the relationship or whenever when his chest gets too tight due to all the feelings swirling around inside of them he has a terrible tendency to try to take control of everything. That can lead to conflict between you and him as he then can turn into the kind of person that wants to know where you are at all times. and frequently texts you.

🦋Feelings don't follow any logic. Jealousy belongs into the same category. But you know what? Jealousy is even worse than Rei expected. There was a time where he genuinely believed he could outreason jealousy by reminding himself that it is only an emotion triggered by insecurity in oneself or the relationship. Then does that just mean he has less confidence in himself or very little trust in the relationship? Ryugazaki Rei is not prepared for jealousy to hit him as hard as it does and his confidence is left shaking after. He cannot pinpoint any possible explanation for why he feels it as intensely and that only pushes him further down the rabbithole as he gets insecure because he doesn't know why he is feeling insecure in the first place. And whenever things get too much he cannot help but try to assert himself by being too restricting. Suddenly he insists on a schedule where you have to tell him days before when you plan out with someone so that he can prepare himself. If he notices that around specific people he feels especially terrible he even insists on there being a time limit of how long you can hang out with them. It's terrible how he tries to fix his jealousy because he takes it so badly.

🦋Sometimes it is quite hilarious to see how Rei tries to deal with other people. He wants to look cool while doing it and perhaps he even thinks he is being cool. He isn't though. He's far too stiff and serious for that and not in an intimidating way but in the way that earns him a few confused glances. Honestly, he isn't good in being spontaneous as his entire thing is based on calculation and logic so if he doesn't have the usual preparation time that definitely shows. Still, he tries his best and that does count for something. Quite similar to the scenario with jealousy though, Rei finds himself overwhelmed at times though at least now his feelings aren't completely unjustified. Jealousy is ridiculous but being worried because someone is acting sketchy around you is a good reason to feel the need to do something. Rei acts when he perceives someone as a threat and that happens less frequently as when he is feeling jealous of someone as he has a checklist this time he can go down to determine whether he has to keep an eye out for someone or not. Just like when he is being jealous though he starts trying to control the situation by taking the lead. Only that this time he thinks that he is being in the right.

🦋Honestly, he is probably the kind of person who calculates an entire timeline for the both of you. Nothing is of course set in stone but it is a rough idea of how he believes things could go and preferably should go as well. However, it is his sort of holy script that he strives to follow as good as he can. That includes when he plans to confess, when he plans to move together and even when he plans to propose. Changes will of course be noted down as time passes by. So that does answer the question of whether or rather when he plans to move in with you. There is a set date for that but Rei doesn't like to rush things. Not only to give you time to be comfortable but also to give him the needed time to prepare. As much as he would like to be confident in his skills in other aspects, he knows that regarding relationships he is still green behind the ears. That is a flaw he cannot tolerate as someone so focused on exuding beauty through his actions which isn't always the case when he is with you. So he needs the time to prepare himself for the challenge of living together under one roof as he couldn't just jump in blindly. No, he needs to gain certain skills before he takes the next step.

🦋A relationship with someone like Rei is...unique. That is mainly because he switches back and forth between an overly rigid and controlling individual to someone who clearly exudes the aura of a man who has no idea what he is supposed to do. One day he is constantly asking you for updates about your life and wants to essentially have a fully planned out schedule of your day and the next morning he knocks in the earliest morning hours on your door because he forgot half of his stuff in your apartment. It's a constant struggle to control his obsession which sometimes just seems to fry his brain and leads to all of those accidents. That's what pushes him to try so hard to have a hold of control over you after all. Otherwise he would only make a fool out of himself and Rei doesn't want that to happen. He doesn't want to be the babbling idiot who pushes a door instead of pulling it when you are around or the one who ends up as the laughing joke because he walked with his glasses on right into a wall only because you were around. That isn't the version of himself that he wants to be. He wants to be a reliable and strong man for you and not an awkward boy with no control over his feelings.

Matsuoka Rin

🦈Rin likes you. He's liked you for a longer while now and initially he assumes that is all there is to it. As someone who has strong emotions even if he can come over as still aloof at times, he naturally ends up spending more time with you as a result. That has consequences though even if he may not be aware of them until much later. He fuels his own obsession by spending so much time with you and he doesn't realise that until it is much too late. Still, the signs slowly become more obvious. Rin belongs to the more possessive kind and that does make itself obvious over time. He reacts weirdly pissed whenever he asks you to hang out with him but you decline because you already have other plans with someone else who isn't him. Really, even he doesn't understands why he gets so morose over it. It's your right to spend time with others after all as he isn't the only person in your life. Sometimes he would like to be though. Eventually he realises though why he is feeling this way and then he ends up actually pulling back for a while. It unnerves him even if only a bit and he ends up inflicting self-isolation upon himself in hopes of curing himself by doing so. Spoiler alert: It doesn't work.

🦈Oftentimes he doesn't mean to be but Rin can get a bit toxic at certain times, especially when he is in a bad mood and you are partially responsible for it. Obviously you notice when he goes from his normally relaxed personality to someone who suddenly broods and avoids you. Rin wants to be left alone but you then end up chasing after him out of worries. Only that he can get quite harsh when you get too pushy. His emotions aren't always something he can control and sometimes he ends up letting it out on you even though you don't deserve it. He feels always terrible afterwards but doesn't apologise until much later. Still, when he is in a bad mood it ruins your own and sometimes influences your day too. You may end up cancelling a meeting with someone or your mind might simply be elsewhere even as you hang out with someone else. There is a part of Rin that enjoys the fact that he is on your mind, especially if his bad mood is a result of you wanting to hang out with someone he clearly doesn't like. The other part of him feels horrible about feeling that way. If a pity party gives him your attention though it might happen that he uses it sometimes to his advantage.

🦈I've already told you quite a bit about his possessive and manipulative attributes, haven't I? Let's just dive into it a bit deeper. No, he isn't a horribly jealous person just because he is possessive. That much of an insecure jerk isn't what molds Rin's obsession. In fact he probably gets along greatly with most of your friends and family. After all he knows how to not be blindly jealous of everyone and everything that you interact with. He is automatically more on edge though when he finds out that you spend a lot of time with someone he isn't familiar with yet and haven't even bothered telling him about even though the both of you are so close. The thing though is that he doesn't mind you being close to others as long as they aren't as close to you as he is. As your boyfriend Rin is on some levels entitled enough to believe that he should have the closest relationship with you. That leads to jealousy whenever he realises that you prioritise someone else over him and he hates it especially when you cancel him for another friend because you would rather hang out with them. That's when he gives you that cold shoulder again for a while but never tells you why he is doing it in the first place.

🦈If someone messes with you though? Then Rin gets all protective and hovering. He keeps a smile on his face though it is less playful now. No, it now indeed resembles a shark's grin because he already has the sharp teeth and now he also has that gleam in his eyes that tells others that they should proceed carefully now. Is he being overprotective? Actually no, in some ways he handles such situations better than he handles his own jealousy though exceptions still happen. He switches from possessive to protective mostly when he takes notice of your own discomfort in a situation where you interact with someone else and then he steps in. He shields you, he tells the other person to fuck off and he clarifies that they don't get to mess with his girl. Where he would retreat when he is being jealous to cool off, he is immediately attentive after situations where you had to be exposed to discomfort. It's such a change from what you are sometimes exposed to but it is one of the major reasons that would give you a hard time to break things off if it should ever get that far. Because as horrible as Rin can be when all jealous, when you are suffering he is immediately there for you.

🦈Now, what exactly would he do if he were to realise that you are slipping away from him? There are two possible reactions and both are most likely going to happen after each other. At first he starts being overattentive in an attempt to figure out what he has done wrong. Frequent calls and mails. Following you around in public when he finds you. Physically grabbing you by your shoulders to prevent you from leaving so that he can pester you for answers to the sudden switch in your behavior. If that doesn't work then Rin too starts distancing himself. Not because he plans to let you go but because he is hurt right now and being around you would only add salt to the wound. So he broods instead and suffers alone though his bitterness might still reach you in a few ways as if to make you pay for breaking his heart. He's his scariest then because what happens is that he goes back and forth between being hot and cold. He's in all scenarios temperamental though and that quite a bit. He might even drop by in the middle of your night and knock angrily on your door for minutes before he leaves. He apologises. He guilt-trips. He does whatever he thinks is needed to get you back. You're not bailing out on him.

🦈In the relationship itself, Rin can get unbelievably cocky at times and even somewhat shameless. In public he does like to subtly claim you to himself by always having a hand on you or an arm swung lazily around your shoulders. Your neck gets frequently assaulted by kisses in the most unexpected moments simply because he likes to see you squirm, see you all embarrassed as you try to push him away because the both of you are in public. It's oddly adorable when you find out that apparently he needs his special pillow to fall asleep. It reminds you of children who need their special plushie to fall asleep. Though your thighs seem to make a good substitute if you had to judge by the sight of the maroon-haired male dozing off within minutes whenever he lays his head on your lap. Teasing you and making you mad seems to be his secret mission because at times he can be infuriating. Never get too close to a pool when he is inside it or he will pull you inside and kiss you underwater before he resurfaces with you in his arms. Really, he can either be a great albeit very teasing boyfriend or he can be uncompromising whilst being aloof yet also temperamental at the same time.

Shigino Kisumi

⚓It may not be an instant infatuation but it is an instant attraction for Kisumi. He likes what he sees the first time the both of you meet and he can definitely sense the potential that this could have. As the extroverted person he is that implies that he has no qualms seeking you out from that day on and that is in fact exactly what he does. There are no attempts to mask any of it as a sheer accident either. No, Kisumi makes it obvious that he is there for you every time in hopes that this will earn him some points in your book. The more he sees, the more he is convinced that the both of you have to be together. Sure, he could find someone else and so could you but he is of the belief that what you two could have would be special. That is the part where he ends up slipping partially into delusional territory and that without ever noticing it himself. He's very devoted and that soon shows in his obsessive tendency to know everything about you. He watches very intently, doing his best to memorise everything and to not forget he ends up making notes like others would only ever do for an upcoming exam. He literally reads through them every night before going to bed too.

⚓He may not be as clingy as Nagisa and as much as a motherhen as Makoto but he is like a milder mixture of the both of them. Yes, he can handle himself alone for an hour or two but any longer and he gets restless and even twitchy. That's when the messages start slowly. One at a time, every few minutes as checks his phone obsessively every few seconds to see if you have answered him or at the very least read it. The longer it takes, the more frequent it gets until the phone calls start. Sometimes you open your phone to see a dozen messages and half a dozen of missed phone calls from Kisumi. He looks out for you a lot too. When you're sick he is already on his way to get you what you need and when you mention absent-minded that you're hungry or thirsty he buys you something. His primary motivation for doing all of this though is because he likes taking care of you. Whilst someone like Makoto does it more out of instinct and worry for your health and happiness, Kisumi does it because he believes that is what a good boyfriend is do and should be happy to do. And happy he definitely is to do this all for you. Do you need anything else, sweetie?

⚓Not quite as prone to jealousy as some other men would be, Kisumi is not without it of course. His string is just longer and sturdier than those of others. As an extroverted and friendly soul chances are greater anyways that he is quite close to your friends so there is no unnecessary jealousy involved regarding other relationships that you have. What makes him jealous though is when someone starts acting too much like he is. We have already established that he loves taking care of you so when someone does it too and does it too much, he gets jealous. It's his way of always showing you that he loves you and it has been part of his strategy of courting you just as much. So in his mind looking out for you and spoiling you to such a degree is equivalent with wooing you and then he has a problem. Obviously he doesn't show it or he at the very least doesn't get ugly with it. His smile does start to feel more like maintenance than anything though and whether he denies it or not, it becomes a competition in his mind. That means that he starts smothering you with even more affection and care so that everyone is reminded that he is the boyfriend.

⚓If there were two words to describe him whenever someone causes problems, it would be nosy and noisy. You genuinely don't know if he has just zero self-awareness or if this is some secret strategy of his. Fact is that he doesn't sneak his way around problematic people. He walks straight into the den and that with a smile on his face. It's a bit dismantling for the other person but none of this implies that Kisumi is being naive. He has some sort of plan in mind usually as he isn't as dumb as to approach without a strategy in mind. It's just that people tend to be more honest when he is acting like the lovesick and concerned boyfriend. People tend to underestimate the fool in love and that is an advantage that he uses. He really doesn't want things to get ugly though. Less because he cares about the problem makers and more because he doesn't want to stress you out. So for you he often attempts to solve things more peacefully but he also is prepared to dig up some dirt on others or infiltrate their personcal circle to keep things under control. A few ways of blackmailing don't hurt though. All is fair in love, isn't that right?

⚓Kisumi brings up a similar problem as Makoto does. He is very beloved by your family and friends. They want you to be together with him as it is rare to find someone as devoted and attentive as he is. Kisumi is more aware of that than Makoto though who is too humble most of the time. And well, he wouldn't hesitate to pull this card when things should get a bit shaky between the both of you. His own delusion holds up still though. He's not saying that you wouldn't find someone else. After all it is you. He is not afraid to say though that he doubts that you would ever find someone like him again. You won't find someone who is as devoted and as loyal as he is. Still, if you were to decide to still leave he would let you go. Then he is actively going to seek out your friends though and bawl his eyes out in front of them. That's not even acting because he is shedding tears the moment you leave him. He is choosing thoug to cry in front of them to gain pity points and to get them to pressure you. You're not getting away from him caring for you though. Boyfriend duties don't end even after you have broken up with him. Who is going to pamper you otherwise?

⚓Kisumi may not tell you at first but asking you out for the first date and confessing to you took a lot of restless and nervous planning. Imagine him pacing around in his room and practicing the lines to himself and his friends. Bless Makoto for listening to his rambles for hours on the phone because Haruka would not have had the patience for it. Life as a college student is stressful but he still makes the time for you. You receive flowers from him as soon as the previous bouquet starts to wilt and he constantly stocks up your fridge and your snacks. You basically never run out because he always makes sure that you don`t. Probably buys the two of you matching clothes and insists to wear them outside for dates. If you are introverted then Kisumi can be a nightmare because he drags you outside for most of the dates that he plans with you. It's understandable to you at one point why Haruka refers to him as being a noisy person. Kisumi talks a lot. Mostly to you about you and how much he loves you and how cute you are and that he wants to do this and that with you. It's quite overwhelming at times but when you ask him to be quiet he kisses you as if that is the only way to silence him.

Shiina Asahi

🦭If there is one thing that you have to give Asahi at the very least, it is that he is nothing short but hardworking and unrelenting. This dude is fire and flame for you which can either be utterly exhausting or very adorable depending on your mood. He has left quite an impression on you considering the way both of you met for the first time. The funniest part? You were mad at him at that time. In hindsight it was very insignificant that made you angry but at that time you were stressed with exams and your life so when he jumped into the pool and got your textbooks wet you just exploded. What happened after might as well be a fairytale in his mind. You jumped into the water right after him, managed to grab him by his ear and then lectured him for his recklessness and carelessness. You will never forget the way he turned around, initially with a frustrated pout on his lips only to look starstruck the moment he saw you. Asahi on the other hand will never forget how you looked, dripping wet with a scowl on your face. Absolutely infuriated with him and looking so beautiful whilst insulting him. The cherry on top though? He blurted out then and there if he could take you out on a date.

🦭Feelings tend to blur us from seeing things as they are and the same counts for Asahi. He glazes over possible problematic aspects of his obsession as he always excuses it by reminding himself that he is just very passionate and competitive. That holds true though. He is indeed competitive, clingy and absolutely devoted. He's chasing after you nearly all the time and the moment he spots you it is already too late. You cannot outrun him and you would rather not try it either as it is embarrassing him to have the red-haired man chase after you like a dog would. Worst of all is that he is far too enthusiastic and honest, confessing even as both of you sprint through the streets. The entire neighbourhood knows about the fact that he is in love with you though no one knows just how deep his feelings go for you. Asahi is quite territorial even despite the sometimes ridiculous scenes caused by his feelings for you. The moment he sees someone else giving you pretty eyes he is all about confrontation. There the competitive spirit really shines through but he is determined to win against anyone who thinks they have a shot with you. At the very least it never gets boring with him around.

🦭If you have watched Haikyuu!! and remember how Tanaka and Noya acted during training camp around Kiyoko, then just imagine that but with Asahi circling around you like a rabid dog instead. It's actually hilarious for the people who watch, to see a grown man being that close to bearing his teeth to keep other competition away. No one should dare to get close to his babe. The reaction does depend a bit on the stage of your relationship though. If you aren't his girlfriend at that point then at the very least he won't be possessive enough to act like you are already completely his. He is not letting anyone get close though without a competition for your heart. It sounds ridiculous and to some extent it also is but he won't let up on it until the person caves in and agrees or flees and decides that he isn't worth the trouble. That too is a victory in his eyes. If he is your boyfriend already in that scenario then he is going to be possessive enough to state with a puffed out chest that you are already his girl and that the other person should just turn around and try their luck on someone else. He's ready to throw hands if the other person talks back and you better hold him back then.

🦭It is all fun and games until someone starts messing around with you. That's when the fun stops sharply for Asahi. He's devoted after all and if there is one thing that he hates then it is to see you upset to the point where even he can't cheer you up. Your own mood can then very quickly influence his own which then has him going all moody. There are no grand plans or a strategy that he comes up with. Nope, we are going to old-fashioned impulsive and reckless way instead. It works the fastest after all and when he knows that someone gives you a hard time he is just not going to stand by idly and twirl his thumbs. Instead he storms over with a look on his face that clearly gives away that he isn't in the mood for jokes right now before he goes straight into confrontation mode. He does something and that counts for something but whether or not it is the right way to handle a situation is another thing. He argues, he insults and there is a point where he looks dangerously close to throwing a fist. People around him have to interfere before fists start to fly. Asahi holds grudges though so he is going to give anyone who has hurt you the bombastic glare for the rest of his life and probably also some provocations.

🦭As a puppy stuck in a human body, separation isn't handled necessarily well. Asahi acts like he hasn't seen you for weeks when you have been gone for hours. That attachment means trouble though if there were ever to be an event that would tear the two of you apart. Asahi wouldn't understand it at first, too confused and heartbroken. Even if someone were to give him a good explanation though, he still wouldn't be able to accept. Never. He loves you too much to ever let you go like this. He has never gone down without a fight and this scenario is a very similar event. Only that he is never going to stop fighting even if others tell him that he should and even if his own heart is barely able to hold it together. Asahi just keeps on pushing himself and his luck all in the desperate hopes that one day you will take him back again. Some pity him. Others ask him to stop as he starts becoming more and more excessive the more time passes by. He messages, he calls, he cries and he appears in the earliest morning hours in front of your door and sits there as if waiting to be let inside again. He never once considers giving up. Not on you. Never on you. He'll just have to try harder.

🦭No one could ever call him anything but devoted to you. Asahi essentially starts to learn anything for you if he realises that you like it. Even if he isn't good at it and sometimes barely qualifies as decent, that never demotivates him to stop trying for you. He learns your favorite dishes and how to prepare them for you. If your hobby is drawing then he joins even if he has no idea what he is doing. All for you and if he can get a smile out of you even if he makes a fool out of himself then that is a win in his book. Bursts of energy happen all the time where he can literally not contain himself. Then he quite literally jumps at you when he sees you to give you a hug and clings to you like a koala, unable to hold his giddiness and joy back. In other moments he suddenly falls asleep and is dead to the world for a few hours but of course he is still clinging to you. He shows you off so much and the moment the both of you are a thing he tells everyone he knows that he now has a girlfriend. The bragging doesn't stop even then though. In fact it only gets worse until his friends beg him to stop. There isn't a single picture on his phone that doesn't include you and he never deletes any. Not even the ones you find ugly.

Kirishima Natsuya

🧡I'd say that Natsuya ends up being one of the most sanest ones yet. That quite obviously means that he doesn't ignore his feelings until they explode out of them nor does he excuse his more obsessive attributes as anything else. Natsuya sees the situation as it is and bless his soul for deciding to work on it. With that being said though that doesn't really imply that he considers distancing himself or giving up on you. No, he too has a very competitive spirit and believes that victory only comes to those who believe in themselves. The result depends on his own decisions and actions so he decides that he will court you and have you as his girlfriend but he will do it in a way where he won't let his obsession interfere. That's obviously quite a lot of expectations he sets up there but praise where it is due. Him holding it all back though does have some unfortunate side-effects to it all. There are things that he won't say to you or certain actions that he won't do even though he wants to because he believes that they would lean too much into the obsessive territory. That leads to him coming over as socially awkward and stiff at times even though he is most of the time rather funny and charming.

🧡There is a big brother complex coming in somewhere which might just explain why he is being more protective over you. Natsuya likes to take the lead in the relationship and often he does it subconsciously without even noticing it himself. You may keep quiet about it to a certain extent but the longer you do, the more he ends up taking charge until you see yourself forced to speak up. Just because you let him know of what he is doing though doesn't mean that he stops doing it. There comes in the first shred of controlling entitlement even if only in little sparks. To him there is no problem that he is being the one who does most of the decisions in this relationship. It isn't like he is actively suppressing your choices. He just likes giving his own opinions and advices even though he may not always realise that they aren't necessary in certain situations. Another small red flag that appears once you are in a relationship is that he is starting to get more possessive. Not in the hardcore isolating way but you become aware over time that he has some expectations now. You're his girlfriend so he treats you special and he would like to see the favor returned.

🧡It is this sentiment that mostly leads to jealousy. By all accounts, you can keep all of your friends and spend time with them. As long as you inform him beforehand though because he would be otherwise mildly annoyed if he would try to hang out with you only to find out that you have other plans and didn't inform him beforehand. You can be as affectionate as you want but Natsuya then expects that he is treated even better in return. He is doing the same after all. He is treating his friends no different than he was before he met you. But to make up for it he gives you the special treatment and so he wants you to treat him better in return too. That is the major point both of you get into arguments over and it isn't made better by the fact that Natsuya doesn't really talk about it. Normally he isn't deterred by much and even if, he doesn't expose his vulnerable side that much. In his mind it should be a universal understanding that he should be treated special as your boyfriend and he wants you to have that realisation without having to spell it out for you. And if you don't give it to him and don't seem to understand why he is upset either, he can get just a bit mean and angry.

🧡Usually he is well-liked but that doesn't imply that Natsuya is unafraid to get on someone's bad side. If he decides that he doesn't like someone then it is hard to change his mind. That doesn't happen often but when it does then he holds grudges for quite a long time. Not in the kind of way where he actively seeks someone out to torment them but if they do enter his vision he isn't going to hide it too well that he isn't exactly thrilled to bump into them. For you though that looks different as the controlling and the overprotective parts of his obsession lead Natsuya to act just a tad bit different. Sometimes it happens that he ends up disliking someone you actually like and whether that is justified or not is up for discussion. It leads to tension though every time he is around as he may not admit openly that he really hates the other person but he gives them all the silent signals that he does. When you confront him about it, he denies it with a laugh. He's being passive-agressive until that specific person really confronts him. Then the upbeat mask may slip and he may be inclined to be a tad bit more aggressive and tell them to stay away from you. He will certainly try to keep you away from them.

🧡It is when Natsuya finds himself confronted with a hard truth that he doesn't like that he is most likely to slip up and reveal his obsessive side to you with all the undesirable traits that he has been keeping in check so far. He wants a future with you and if he doesn't get it or if something threatens that desire of his, he would probably end up to more drastic measurements when the chips are all down. He starts more harmlessly though. He wants an explanation. He wants to talk things through with you and calm you down if he notices that you are agitated and distraught. He may also start to guilt-trip you by reminding you what he has all done for you and what wonderful moments both of you have made. Are you really about to throw all of this away? Does this relationship mean nothing to you? If that plan fails though things can get more ugly depending on how long this drags on. Natsuya acts like he is fine when in reality he isn't and that shows through cracks. He starts stalking you and if you should start hanging around someone else he may bump into them by accident and act more arrogant because he doesn't think anyone would be as passionate as him about you.

🧡He can be certainly more of a Dobermann boyfriend at times though. That means that he demands messages multiple times a day and updates. Never forget to text him when you leave your home and when you return or else he will blow up your phone with multiple messages and casually dismiss it as him just being worried about your safety. Ikuya cannot stand his older brother once he starts talking about you because it is hard to stop once someone gets him started. He does like you though even if he may not make that very obvious. He really wants to set an example for being a good boyfriend so he even does stuff with you that he usually hates. Partially out of pure intention and passion but partially also because in the back of his mind he believes that he can add it to the list of stuff he can guilt-trip you with in case things start to go downhill for some reasons. You'd be surprised how often such thoughts swim around in the back of his head though it's merely to prevent things from turning ever truly ugly. No good intentions and will to be better can ever erase his obsession after all so having an emergency plan is never the wrong idea. Not to Natsuya at least.

Kirishima Ikuya

🐋This is a boy who always deeply confuses you. You swear that you always catch him staring at you but whenever you dare to approach out of intrigue and curiosity he shuts you out. Are you just imagining things? No, not all. It isn't just a fragment of your imagination whenever there are amber eyes watching you as this is in fact something Ikuya does a lot. He watches you a lot. He doesn't know why or at the very least he won't admit to why even though deep down he most likely has an inkling to the reason. As a small child he used to be very dependent on his big brother only for Natsuya to push him away in a misguided attempt to make him more independent whilst still keeping pressure on him to be an excellent swimmer. That has had some long-term effects on Ikuya and has made him far more cynical and distrusting as a result. That's why he distances himself so much from you. He has a dream of mastering swimming and becoming the best and so you would only be a distraction. Depp down though he is also afraid that you too will end up pushing him away. Why even bother in the first place then only to get hurt again?

🐋Yet once Ikuya's obsession has festered, he cannot stop himself anymore. The dependency comes back only that now you are the new target of it. It starts with the long gazes at you before it evolves into stalking. You catch him following you and watching you from around the corner like a scared animal. To you it looks like someone is having a crush but is too shy to approach so you decide to take the first step by trying to get closer again. He's still skitterish and wary but he isn't pushing you immediately away like the last time. Instead he lets you closer and you keep on returning, the one big mistake as you will eventually notice. The closer you get, the more Ikuya's walls crumble and the more he starts clinging to you. Still as silent as ever but with growing desperation and urgency. He is already in too deep at this point and there is barely anything to hold him back anymore. You have after all broken all of his defenses down. Eventually you find yourself stuck with the teal-haired boy who quietly panics when you are gone for too long and clings to you the moment he spots you. Insecurities and fear to disappoint you often force Ikuya to push himself too much as otherwise he is afraid you would leave him.

🐋Jealousy is always there but he just never speaks about it. It always simmers, always has his fingers twitch with unspoken tension and fear. Ikuya always lingers close to you but he keeps some distance when there are too many people around. He's not a big fan of the crowd and of mingling amongst them due to his quiet attitude. When you are there though he follows you even if he is feeling highly uncomfortable. His general tendeny to distrust others shifts and transforms once the both of you get closer. Now it has led to a tendency of being paranoid that other people are going to take you away from him. It's enough to keep him always on edge when you are interacting with others for extended periods of time. Every smile and hug you give is one sign of affection too much for Ikuya who takes great comfort in such things when he is the one to receive them and not someone else. It's deadly fuel for his insecurities but he never admits that out loud to you. Instead afterwards he just clings harder to you afterwards and starts intensifying his efforts to be the best. So he only pushes himself harder and with his at times more delicate health that doesn't always end well.

🐋The only person Ikuya truly trusts fully is you. Not your friends and not even your family. Deep down he keeps that spark of distrust alive due to the belief that someone might try to ruin him the relationship. That constantly keeps him on edge and it shows one way or another. He is aloof to almost everyone and even you don't get to always hear how he feels. He does cling to you the most though as he trusts you the most and also depends on you the most. Once he starts seeing a threat in someone else he is usually too paranoid to allow you to be alone around them. So he trails after you like a ghost who keeps on getting closer the longer you interact with them until you can feel his fingers gripping your shoulders or arms. He's not looking at you though but is staring at the other person the entire time as if silently analysing for anything that can be interpreted as them trying to take you away from him. When he finds out that you plan to meet them he guilt-trips you, tells you that he isn't feeling well on that day and that he would feel better if you were to keep him company until he feels better. He lies but he does so effortlessly to ensure that you stay with him and don't spend time with them.

🐋Paranoia tends to keep a solid grasp on him most of the time. Ikuya is always lying and manipulating you to ensure that you stay with him. That implies that one day you might snap at him though and see through him. His clinginess is a lot to take and so is the obvious dependency on you. Eventually you might get overwhelmed and inform him that you need some distance. Saying that to him though? It just confirms his worst insecurities in his mind and that is when he grasps desperately onto you to keep you with him. So far he has clung to you and manipulated you with a fairly expresionless face. That's when that wall cracks though and you might see him genuinely cry for the first time, begging for you to not leave him. He won't stop you if you do though the question is how fine you are leaving him on the floor and sobbing quietly for you. The next day though he doesn't approach. You still catch him stalking but he doesn't approach you anymore. Ikuya becomes reckless though. He trains too hard, nearly passes out whilst swimming all to distract himself from his heartbreak as his health takes a turn for the worse as you were usually the one who looked out for him.

🐋He still has the copy of The Little Mermaid with him that his father gifted him and you find it adorable when you find out that he treasures the story so much. Ikuya at one point might even ask you to read it out loud to him whilst he is cuddled up against you and dozes off whilst listening. At the beginning of the relationship he used to be weirdly skittish of too much touches which is such a stark difference to how the relationship looks later on. At first he merely lingered closer and closer until he started brushing his fingers with yours. Ghost touches eventually turned into him constantly feeling the need to touch you and that is how the two of you have looked ever since. He insists that you are there when he has his swimming practice because he wants you to watch. That does lead him to push himself even harder though knowing that you are there to watch. Natsuya most likely asks you at one point to watch out for his younger brother's health when he finds out about the relationship, especially because Ikuya relies and trusts you the most. Sometimes you feel like you are dealing with a baby deer as Ikuya appears to be so delicate at times. You worry. That makes it hard to leave.

Serizawa Nao

🐠Noa has patience. That honestly is a key virtue to have. He is someone who approaches life logically similar to Rei only that he has none of the awkwardness that the younger man has. That does make him more charming and composed but it can potentially also make him more dangerous. As someone who coaches others, Nao has learned over time to read people better. What drives them, their motives and the obstacles that they have to overcome. What that means for you specifically is that Noa is terrifyingly observant and reads you very well. It also allows him to get closer to you without coming over as too pushy nor naive. When he approaches you then only after he has been watching over you for a good while already and has gathered enough intel to have come up with a plan on how to get closer to you. It isn't necessarily hard to trust someone like Nao. He's empathetic and soft-spoken, always looking out for you and your well-being. Deep down he remains always calculating of course but you never notice any of it. He hides it very well. After all Nao also remains lucid of his own feelings. Whether they would truly frighten you or not is a risk he is not willing to take for now.

🐠Perhaps it is his nature of a coach talking out of him but Nao isn't letting you do everything freely either. He isn't afraid to give his own opinion in a very straightforward manner and even interject your decisions when he believes that they aren't thought through. He relies on logic and detailed plans so if you are the type who follows her gut feeling and simply wings it, that is fertile ground for conflict between the both of you. Arguments though are difficult for you. Not because he scares you but because even then he remains soft-spoken and you start to feel ridiculous if you are the only one who ends up being mad. Really, the patience and gentle nods he gives you when you argue remind you of the ways he sometimes deals with some of the younger students he teaches when they get angry at something. That is sometimes enough to stop you as you feel too embarrassed to continue arguing with him only to feel like a small and immature child. Another fact to also throw in is that Nao is quite persuasive. His arguments are always thought through and as a keen observer he also knows how to use cracks in your emotional amor when they appear to make you rethink certain plans and ideas.

🐠From this entire post he is definitely in the top of being the least inclined to feel jealous. Not with the approach he applies to every corner of his life. Jealousy is an irrational emotion that may bug him at times but of which he also knows better than to give in. He doesn't look at interactions you have with others through the lens of envy and jealousy but through the ones of logic instead. He isn't going to feel insecure and jealous when you spend your time with people you have known longer than he has you. After all he too likes to spend some time to himself and so it would be unfair to demand anything different of you. Even when jealousy does come around when he isn't familiar with people or he suspects that someone may like you a tad bit too much, he never escalates the situation into anything unnecessary. Nao reasons. He always reasons. With you, with himself and even with the person who makes him jealous all whilst he keeps the polite and gentle tone of his. Lashing out on him would make the other person only appear in a bad light and if it comes down to it, Nao may even count on that. He is going to keep his composure though. After all he doesn't doubt the relationship.

🐠Fun fact, he actually knows a bit of martial arts. Before he got into swimming he practiced Aikido and he still remembers some of the moves. Just stating that though he isn't throwing anyone on the ground of course unless they would get physical first. There are different stages to how Nao decides to deal with people though that he views as a potential safety hazard for you or the relationship though even then he always likes to give the benefit of the doubt and try to talk to find a solution. It's difficult to tell though when exactly he starts considering someone as potential trouble simply because he hides it all so well. No one could tell when exactly he starts watching someone closer and analyses them more intently to get a better picture. He wouldn't want to make a rash decision after all and blame someone only because he has misread a situation. That wouldn't be very befitting of his image and not his style at all. Mostly he resorts to manipulation though as he remains passive at first. That being said he can be very strict and even somewhat scary when someone gets too bold and forgets their manners, though only when you are made the victim as he stays composed when it's done to him.

🐠As someone whose obsession also includes the habit of always having a plan as a backup, Nao has obviously considered what kind of future he wants to have with you. He would like to go the old-fashioned way by living together, getting married and starting a family. But that is still years away. But he has made those plans and usually he strives to follow such plans once he has decided that he will work towards fulfilling them. Couple that with his patience and him being very hardworking and you have arguably one of the most determined individuals with the highest chance of suceeding without any major hiccups. Even if you were to end things with him, Nao wouldn't even pull a single face. No, he would accept and still remain a loyal and good friend to you. Only that he then sabotages everything from behind the scenes. He is the one who is always there for you when you are having a tough time and supports you through everything. Eventually you may just naturally end up falling back in love with him because he has always been there for you. Exactly like Nao has been planning for it to eventually happen. His patience is terrifying.

🐠There are some changes he ends up doing though which he believes would only benefit your health which they admittedly do. He has you cut back on consuming too much fast food and sugar if you have a major sweet tooth and instead creates a healthier diet for you. He even teaches how to cook simple dishes if you should struggle with preparing more complex dishes. He takes you out. Not to the city with all the people but to parks where both of you are surrounded by nature so that you can have some exercise whilst also enjoying fresh air. He would encourage hobbies that keep your mind stimulated or that help you to stay fit. He has his own hobbies to keep him occupied after all so you should have a few too. Gaming or watching movies doesn't count by the way though you are of course still free to do that too. Natsuya feels deeply betrayed because he only finds out that Nao actually has had feelings for you all along once you are already together with him. Nao simply didn't want his boisterous friend interferring and trying to play couple maker. The relationship looks almost normal. The only annoying tendency is that Nao tends to worry too much at times.
