It is that time of the year when we start to wonder about this fandom. What are they doing? Are there new fics? Is there someone still active in there? Are people still writing prompts?

To be honest, we don’t even have half of the answers. But what we know is that it’s time for us to get ready to create, enjoy and celebrate the love we have for these two old mutants because…

Cherik Week 2025 is coming soon!

Some of us know that this year, Team Cherik has decided to take a well deserved break. However, this doesn’t mean that we’ll stop and forget about this cherished tradition of giving an entire week to our favorite mutants: Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.

That’s why, a little group of fans (with Team Cherik’s blessing), has decided to take the lead this year. We are trying to make this with enough time so everyone involved in this community can have all the time and inspiration needed to leave heart and soul in each and every single one of their creations.

And just highlighting that, even if you can’t actively participate, you can always support all those writers, artists, friends, mutant brothers and sisters, by liking, commenting and sharing their works.

We all know how important it is for us to receive that feedback and we’d love to keep this lovely community as supportive as always.

I think that "One flesh, one end, bitch" lives rent free in my head. I wrote it in the blurb I made for this gift I sculpted.

It encompasses Gideon to me, but also a turning point for her, and a moment in which she makes that vow her own, because she means it when she says it and she'll mean it until the end. It's a declaration, in the most Gideon way possible, and I really like it.

💀 Fav Ht9 quote?

I think I have two that I like from Harrow.

There's: "Nonagesimus, you hating me always meant more than anyone else in this hot and stupid universe loving me. At least I'd had your full attention" which was a punch to the gut and a half. I mean, damn.

But there's also a Crux quote, believe it or not: “you saw what you saw, Lady, and the only thing you control now is your reaction thereto” which is relatable af to me. I mean, more observe than control, but still. It's hard to do it some days, but we do what we can and continue on. Crux is an asshole but also a better support system than most have.

🐕 Fave Nt9 quote?

Probably "Life is too short and love is too long." Especially in the context of camolive.

They have a wonderful qpr dynamic, from where I'm standing, and I thrive on qprs that show the depth love can have, also when it's not completely romantic and/or sexual. I think it's so powerful that they get to find the balance nobody else has found in this kind of lyctor-ish situation, because of a love and trust so powerful they're able to meet in the middle and discover the path to it together, rather than trust what has been told by others blindly. There aren't tricks, backstabbing, lies, sacrifices at the expense of oneself...there's understanding and a love so deep that it doesn't need to be traditionally labeled. And I think that quote shows all of that and it's the cornerstone of their new identity together.

🏰 Fav House aesthetic?

You all know I'm a Sixth House girlie through and through. If I were to choose a House, I'd choose Sixth any day. I think my skills would be appreciated there.

Also, didn't realize at the time, but maybe this post I made about the esoteric book collection I tracked down can also be included in my Sixth House application.

Working silently by myself while having to sort things and find them their proper spot, especially archival stuff, most especially academic entries where I can learn new things, sounds like a dream job to me. It's this or the Magnus Archives.

👯 Which twin is worse and why?

THIS IS THE HARDEST QUESTION OUT OF ALL

On the one hand, from the start, I was more supportive of yandere twin, because she was ostracized and mistreated and had to live under the shadow of a sister who was unwilling to admit she wasn't the one doing necromancy. She was also a bit kooky and I liked that.

But then she became a lyctor and was pretty insufferable, especially next to Augustine, who is also insufferable. I'm not gonna judge the murder of Chad or the lyctorhood of it all, to each their own, but there are so many horny jokes I can take before I snap.

Also, I lost it at her when she helped dr reverend emperor john when we could have gotten him killed. I got very upset at that and some people didn't like that in the recap because she's their blorbina and I understand that.

Now, she's combining her personality with freakin' Chad, of all people, which sounds like a nightmare.

coronabeer twin (formerly known as regina george twin) I didn't like initially because she was too señorita perfecta and didn't admit to her sister being the one doing the stuff, which I don't respect as a sister myself

I also think she got way too fast on the BOE train and went on with that without really thinking of what that would mean to her sister, the people of the Houses, Camilla and Judith. I think she was less into it because of what they were fighting for and more because they would let her fight, which is what she wanted to do in the first place.

I can't judge her for that, though, she's finding her footing with who she really wants to be, regardless of the propaganda from either side, and also I love her relationship with Judith, which makes me like them a bit more as a combo than individually.

If she's really truly (as nona would say) also a fellow fat girlie, then I do have to support my people.

So, idk. I think initially I thought coronabeer was worse but now I think yandere twin is worse, but it's neck and neck.

✍️ Of the supporting characters, who's POV would you be most interested in reading?

I think Abby Pent. I really grew to like her a lot in the gideon-less au of Harrowcita and I would love to learn more about her life before Canaan. It seems, for what has been said, that her being married to her cav was not a usual situation, kind of unorthodox even, and she seemed like a very smart and determined woman who knew what she was about and wasn't afraid to create her own path.

She seemed like a sort of Deanna Troi and you know I love love love me some Deanna Troi. I'd love to hear more about Abby's past and how she got where she did before things went down at Canaan.

🔬 Who is your fav lyctor and why?

Ugh, Lyctors.

Out of the og lyctors, I think I've said my favorite was Cassiopeia, because she had a ceramics collection and then it was also revealed that she was a good cook, so we can vibe. The fact that she created the Sixth House is unrelated and I found that out after, I promise I'm not biased.

✂️ What is the best hair length on Harrow?

I like the short bob situation she had at the start. The buzz cut is also ok. Long hair is a no. A no-na

💙 Did any parts of the books make you cry? If so, which ones?

No, but it's not easy to make me cry with a book, or media in general, it does happen, but not that frequently.

The closer I got I think must have been with camolive's last conversation before the paul atreides of it all, that was intense.

🔮 Which one of Harrows AU's do you find the most compelling?

The coffee adept AU for sure.

Where did this came from in Harrow's rolodex of scenarios, idk but I'd love to hear more. Gotta love an author setting up her own aus for fans to fill in the blanks.

🥀 If you could have chosen one character to survive Canan House, who would it be?

My immediate thought is to say Palmolive, so that maybe Camilla and him could have survived being themselves individually, but that doesn't work narratively, so it's just me being selfish and wanting Camilla to still be around as herself.

As much as I love Abby, I think her and Magnus had to go out together, I don't think there'd be any other way for them to be.

So yeah, I'll say Palmolive, narrative needs be damned.

🛡️ Which Cavaliers would you wanna see fight 1V1? Who would win?

Camilla can fight everyone, at the same time, and win.

Specifically, I really wanted Camilla to kick Chad's ass tbh, that one almost happened. It would have been glorious to see that. I got Palmolive defeating yandere twin intellectually instead, but man did I want to see Camilla kicking Chad's butt and making him cry.

🧪 Which Necromancers would you wanna see fight 1V1? Who wound win?

I'd like to see Abby kick yandere twin's ass just as a revenge for her calling her useless in the last story. I think Abby was very under appreciated just because she wasn't absolutely deranged like every other necromancer is. They thought that because she was cordial and nice and had a good balance of professional and private life she couldn't kick butt, and we saw in Harrow that she very well could handle a tough situation when others couldn't. Yandere twin could have used Abby slapping her in the face and telling her to grow up, at the very least.

I'm realizing I'm just making people fight the Third lmao

My entire collaboration with this fandom has been memes, so take your pick lol after the ice cube barbie situation, the only thing that could surprise me the same amount would be a meme I used being coincidentally referenced.

If ice cube barbie wanted to do a m3gan dance while murdering dr reverend emperor john, I wouldn't mind. Killer dolls and all that.

Hello! I've followed your art journey throughout the years on several social medias (though I tend to made and then deactivated accounts as often as breathing due to my impulsiveness haha). I want to start learning art seriously, inspired by you. And tbh I usually got motivation to keep going by putting my progress on the internet, even when no one is looking nor gives me validation, it just feels like I did something rather than keeping the progress to myself. Like, I need a visual tracker.

So I'd love to know your opinion on the pro and cons of the social medias you use to share your art? Especially instagram, twitter, and tumblr (Since I plan on making one each). What kind of culture and rules I must abide, what notice I should take. Which platform is the most comfortable for you? And do you always post the same artworks on all your platforms or you have your own classification on what kind of artwork you'll put on instagram, which one is for twitter, etc? Thanks in advance!

First of all thanks for asking me! It's so nice to hear that you're planning to share your art ^^ This is probably gonna a bit long and mostly based on my personal experience, but I hope this helps!

The first socmed I use to mostly (and solely) post art was Instagram. My interactions there are mostly reconnecting with art mutuals from the deviantART days and some RL friends/family. I used to post regularly on Instagram but with how the algorithm works now that they're under Meta, I rarely participate in trends or post reels, and I mostly just post finished art and some speedpaint videos. But if you want you can def use the reels feature to create process video, etc. I like the carousel/stringed together image format and it can be utilized to post a lot of images in one post (up to 20 for now). I also use instagram as some kind of portfolio, with how it present a clean grid. I have RL friends and family following me there so I mostly just post general art, nothing too suggestive.

As for Tumblr, I've had it for quite a long time and it can be traced back to the ol'fandom days haha. I don't participate much in fandoms anymore, but I think it's always a good thing to post either original or fanart with proper tags on Tumblr. The comprehensive tagging method lets you scrounge and filter posts under the tag, so my older posts usually still circulate on other people's blogs even years after it was posted (which I'm grateful that they still enjoy my old stuff!). I mostly post finished art on Tumblr, sometimes multiple images in one post but it's a bit limited compared to Instagram. i don't post videos on here. I also use Tumblr as an archive bc it's much easier to track back my old posts.

The most recent socmed I use is Twitter. Maybe it's already a known fact how the site is kinda falling off after it changed to X :" but I still use it mainly to communicate with friends. I post more liberally on Twitter, from finished art, videos, animation, sketches and personal stuffs as well. It's also where my promotional posts get the most reach in terms of visibility (this includes commissions, merch catalogues, etc) and most clients I've had in the past found me there. I think the community is also more active on Twitter, but sometimes it can also lead to discourses/fighting that I don't rly wanna take part in :" I've seen people moving to Bluesky as well, though I personally haven't used it yet.

All in all I think I mostly crosspost my works across all of my socmed, with a few exceptions on each socmed. I hope this helps and happy posting!!

What is a gift-exchange? It’s an event in which participants are given an assignment to create fanart or fanfiction for someone based on their requested prompts. Since it’s a secret-santa style event, participants must keep their gift and recipient a secret until the posting period.

How do I sign-up? You can sign-up through our Sign-up Form between September 1 - 15.

How are matches made? In the sign-up form, you will be asked to provide the details of what you’re interesting in receiving and creating, including your likes and dislikes, so that we may match you with someone with similar preferences.

※We will do our best to match people as closely as possible, but please keep in mind matches may not be perfect. You may treat this event as a chance to experiment and step a bit out of your comfort zone to make someone happy!

What are check-ins for? There will be 3 check-in forms during the creation period to ensure everyone is responsive and your gift creation is on track. You will not be asked to share WIPs during check-ins, but failing to respond may result in getting dropped from the event if we don’t hear from you.

How do I reveal my gift? By posting it here on tumblr! For fics, you can share a link to AO3 or wherever you post fics, or publish it directly on a tumblr post. Make sure to mention the @ of your recipient in your post, as well as the event account (@ssmygiftexchange). You must only reveal your gift during the posting period, and not earlier.

For writers posting on AO3: you may use the tag ‘Sasamiya & Hirakagi Winter Exchange 2024’. Recipients are also encouraged to check their AO3 settings to make sure they allow gift fics.

What if I can’t complete my gift? If you think you won’t be able to complete your gift for any reason, please let the mod know as soon as possible so that they can assign a pinch-hitter in time and ensure everyone receives a gift.

What if I need an extension? If you need more time to complete your gift, please contact the mod before the posting period begins to get an extension. You may also request an extension during check-ins.

Why ‘Hirakagi’ instead of ‘Kagihira’? It’s in reference to the series name rather than the couple, since it’s a general event based on the series as a whole!

Artworks must be finished and rendered (polished beyond sketch quality). If traditional, please provide a high quality scan or photo.

Do not reveal yourself to your recipient before the posting period starts. Additionally, please refrain from sharing WIPs or discussing details about your gift publicly.

Your gift should adhere to at least one of your recipient’s requested prompts, and must not include anything explicitly listed as DNWs (Do Not Wants).

Do not reach out to your recipient during the creation period. If you have questions or need to clarify anything about your assignment, please ask the mod to contact them on your behalf.

This event is not restricted to the two main couples. All characters and ships (romantic or otherwise) are encouraged as long as they exist in the SasaMiya/HiraKagi universe (no OCs/crossovers/etc).

Prompts are not required to be winter or holiday themed. All kinds of prompts are welcome.

Tips for starting out a new writing blog ?

tbh tags. establish a tag system. figure out how you’re gonna organize your reblogs, your posts, the characters you write for etc etc. like srsly i wish i had done that when i started this blog, now i’m going back to manually change tags to fit my new tagging system.

i honestly choose an aesthetic first. name, title, descrip, pfp, bkg. it’s always the most fun for me. pick your fave colors bcos those will stick with you the longest.

put your age in your bio or pinned. super important

make a navi page, and masterlist page first. organize your masterlist by fandom ppl rly like that. make an anon page when you get your first emoji anon and keep track of themmmm by goddd i did not keep track of my emoji anons and recently had to revamp the whole thing, everyone had to pick new emojis. do a rules page also, and if you need help defining your boundaries in your rules take a look at mine bcos mine is super thorough

if you write smut don’t use the actor’s name or character’s name plain. like when i write a anakin skywalker smut post, i don’t say “hayden christensen” or “anakin skywalker” in the tags bcos it’s a good way to get stuck with a community label. chances are someone is in those tags that doesn’t look for smut and doesn’t know what a blow a community label is, and they just hit the “add community label” button so tumblr nails you with one. always tag your smut fics with “(character) smut” or “(character) x reader” and never just “(character)”

don’t tag more than you have to. like you don’t have to clog up tags with things that don’t pertain to it. if you’re writing anakin skywalker x reader don’t tag the fic as “obi wan x reader” too. keep your tags relevant otherwise ppl will tell u not to clog up tags.

if there’s a way to credit things, do. always. find a way to credit things. if you found a fanart picture on pinterest, reverse google image search it to find the source to check of the artist allows reposts etc. if you’re inspired by someone else’s writing even marginally mention them in the post you wrote inspired by their piece.

reblog other people’s work that you like.

Two rants, one family

As someone who was scammed just last year by actual bots because the help I hired didn't know what they were doing, and then by actual grifters who told me everything I wanted to hear and took my money for my project promos and gave THAT to bots ---

I'm a little fracking tired of this idea that any online donations or transactions to small-companies MUST be scams because 'it's spammy'. Well then call it a 'spammer' then, not a 'scammer'. That's not the same thing.

It's not that scammer hand-outs don't exist. They do. They suck, but also they also don't last long. BUT- if you are ever in a situation where you've needed money asap and you're NOT an influencer with a huge audience, you have to get on track with dayly reblogging and self-promoting as much as possible. Otherwise, if people are anything like yourself when YOU feel like donating, people forget about you, they overlook your struggles, and they never even know you were having a 'sale' or a 'deal' at all!!

One thing that a lot of *bad* entrepreneur websites try to tell people, especially vulnerable people who can't pay for services that give them online marketing tips cuz that money needs to go to rent or food or pets or not dying, IS to flood people's inboxes from any blog they have (and any blog their friend has) to get the word out. They (crap companies who make all the 'free advice' or marketing garbage) tell a lot of people to do this and it's why a lot of n00b donation holders get dismissed as scams and/or bots -> because we get it, we're annoying and you don't want to be seeing us. Cept, UNLIKE actual scammers and bots, we don't have access to all your private information and we also don't want it. We don't have access to emails we get to fill up with crap. We/I have to do EVERY. SINGLE. THING. MANUALLY.

E V E R Y T H I N G-

Tumblr is the easiest website to use (at the moment) because of my queing system. You have to pay to que thing up on Instagram and Facebook. Yes. You do. Look it up. You do. In order to promo myself, my work, my brand, with little to nothing on me, I HAVE to do things manually. I hate it. I can't get good at it out of no where and with not professional training or, again, paying.

Just this last year I've had people on my TNBC comic blog be all "ugh can you not post this" or "can you just post tnbc". Quick solution to those folks: Use my tags -available to EVERYONE- if you JUST want to see my TNBC submissions. That's my blog as much as this one is and PARDON ME for wanting to promote my original artwork that I hope you'll give some attention to as much as my fanart for. I know it's hard to do/care about people's original work when you don't know/don't want to give money to something you don't know. I shouldn't act entitled to the reaction I want, and I'm not trying to.

But, personally, as an artist - nothing tells me "I don't care about you personally or your health/wellbeing" more than asking 'when's 'x' thing coming out?' again and again and AGAIN . . . And frankly, I've been slacking on reblogging as many people's fundraisers, commission prices and MORE because I was afraid of this kind of behavior. I'm sorry I have a life and maybe need a little help sometimes. I'm sorry my friends who are also writers and artists have lives. In the case of my TNBC blog specifically, I made that blog because I felt at peace and in love with my hyperfixation in Nightmare Before Christmas. Don't make me dread of associate these kinds of feelings with my hyperfixtion. Don't make me a moody-proody Jack Skellington who feels like no one understands me and just wants me to 'keep dancing'. Don't take this passion away from me.

You know that crapphrase that everyone says is Marilyn Monroe when it isn't: "if you can't take me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best" or however it goes? That one. The thing that sucks about that phrase, besides it not being from Marilyn, is that it's used and weaponized by shiddy gaslighter-type when it's not supposed to be about the right to be mean and get away with it. It's SUPPOSED to be a plea of acceptance. It's one of many philosophies that can be used for toxic self-care/self-harm, but in itself is not about forcing people to tolerate your bull. Believe me; I've been screamed at in real life and goaded into letting someone trashtalk me online because I was gaslit to 'sit there and take it' because 'I deserve it' one too many real times. I know what someone who truly does the "take me at my worst = me hurting you;disregarding your feelings" ACTUALLY acts.

If you can't take me at my self-promoty-cringey-social-justice-gawker awkward-autistic self, than you don't deserve me at my creative ~autistic gurl~ aesthetic self.

In fact, I have some! Perhaps if I hadn't found them I'd be a bit more sane now, alas... So the next three are all from the same author and are my favourites from PMD (although I havent looked for Grovyle/Celebi or Dusknoir/Celebi alone, idk if someone has some recommendations for those). Platonic future trio (tho the author has stated that they can see the shipping happening lol). I like this one especially bc of the Celebi appreciation, she's the POV and has added lore abour her crucial role in keeping the dark future stable and helping to fix it. Also great dusknoir and grovyle characterization, but that's a given with this author.

The next three are actaeon (Dusknoir/Grovyle), so Celebi barely appears or has relevance. It's a shame, but they're still some of my fav fics.

This one is also actaeon, but theres also focus on Hero/Partner. It's a retelling of EoS through snippets of Hero, Partner, Grovyle and Dusknoir's PoV, and is really well narrated. While i was put off at first by the idea of a retelling of the game, I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining the story and characters are! ts unfinished, and unfortunately ends before the story progresses much beyond the plot of the game, however the part of the story that is set in post game is precious. and it also has my favourite thing ever, that is, future trio not knowing what the hell to do with their lives now that theyre not dead.

This one is not from the same author, but it's also short and sweet, and it even inspired one of my posta about future trio (the one with grovyle's "tail" wagging xd). Maybe it can get a bit too "fanfic-y" at times, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Its basically actaeon hurt/comfort and discussing what their future is gonna be now the the world is back on track and on its way to healing.

What are your tips on running a source blog?

this is a really interesting question that i'm not even sure i can answer properly, but i will try my best! as a disclaimer, i'm most definitely not an authority on this subject, no matter how many source blogs i may run now or have run in the past, but i'll just try to describe my process creating & running a source blog. for reference for which source blogs i currently run, they are: @xmenuniverse, @batfamilycentral, @opla, @falloutprime & @ringsofpowerdaily (it's a lot, i know).

- setting the blog

now when i set the blog up, i always pick a costume theme (you may notice i used the same for several of my blogs bc it's easy & it works well with what i want). i try to personalize it as best as i can with header, icon, etc (same for the mobile theme) + create some standard pages: about, navigation, affiliates.

- launching the blog + intro post

when i'm ready to officially launch a new source blog (& after i make sure my posts will show up in the tags! i always do a little test 1st!), i post a little intro post, where i welcome ppl to the blog, explain what it is about, what tags i will be tracking if ppl want to tag me in their edits, etc. here's a reference. you can tag this post with the general fandom tags, edit tags + potential fandom related source blogs that can give you a boost. this helps introducing the blog to new ppl & gain a few followers hopefully.

- editing + creating a following

honestly this is self explanatory. the best way to gain followers is to post in the tags. for fandom blogs it's best achieved through making edits: gifsets, graphics, etc. be sure to always use the fandom edit tags + search up other source blogs related to the fandom that you may be able to tag.

- taking requests

something that i do often is ask for requests, particularly when starting a blog. it helps to engage with ppl & give you ideas if you are struggling with what to edit. this is, however, 100% optional.

- running the blog: tracked tags

now i create source blogs with one main reason in mind: to help boost the work of other fandom creators + create an archive of their work. this means that i try to reblog as many of ppl's original creations as i possible can & to do this there's always a few tags that i track & check out regularly. this is basically up to you + the free time you have. generally i track at least the blog's tag (tends to be your url or something similar) + edit & fanart tags, but you can also check general fandom tags, tho it's a lot more work. personally i play it by ear, depending on my needs.

- running the blog: setting up a queue

my goal when running a source blog is to be able to keep it updating regularly for as long as possible, so i always send posts to the queue, instead of reblogging them all right away. it also helps with not spamming your followers. something that i do do is try to prioritize edits or art in which my blog is personally tagged. this means i tend to manually go into the queue & send those post to the beginning of it if i can. this is only achievable if i'm only tagged in a few edits once in a while tho, otherwise it gets too overwhelming. for example, i simply can't do this with @ringsofpowerdaily, bc i'm tagged in far too many posts.

- running the blog: fanart

honestly this is ultimately completely optional (as is every tip in this post), but i always try to include fanart as a part of what i reblog if i can. this is not always common place with source blogs, which often tend to prioritize gifs & graphic edits, but like i mentioned, i want to help boost fandom creators to the best of my ability & fanartists are a huge backbone of fandom. tbh some of my blogs run almost exclusively on fanart (@xmenuniverse, @batfamilycentral & @opla during the hiatus) & i wouldn't be able to have them post regularly if it wasn't for it.

the problem with fanart is that it is sometimes hard to track down. ppl are not as conditioned to using a fanart tag as they are an edit tag, so the fandom fanart tags may be pretty bare & it may required you to search through the general fandom tags instead. this is up to you & completely optional & i only do it for certain blogs & depending on necessity.

- getting help

tho i currently run all my blogs alone, it's not uncommon & i've done so in the past, to have multiple members in a source blog. they may be either promoted to admin or just a regular member, but if you need help posting more original edits regularly & setting the queue up, etc, it can be helpful to have more members. you can either ask a friend you can trust or set up an application form for new members. always remember tho that once you upgrade someone to admin, you can no longer make them leave the blog if you want & they have full range to make changes on it, so only do so for ppl you feel you can trust!

- affiliates

this is not terribly important all things considered, but as part of the costume theme i use, there's always a little place for affiliates. this is nothing more than ppl you can link to on your blog & they will do so in theirs, to help promote your blogs to each other's followers. don't be afraid to apply your blog as an affiliate to other source blogs, if they have the option. the max i've got was not getting an answer, which generally means it was not accepted.

- keeping the source blog a neutral place

now this is something i personally consider incredibly important when running my source blogs: i always try to keep my personal opinions off the blog, unless it's something that i consider actually harmful. i won't post if i like or dislike something, i will do my best to reblog edits/fanart of characters, ships or media of all kind, including those i may not be a fan of. it's important to me that my blog is a welcoming place to all members of the fandom.

- tagging system

i think one of the most important things about running a source blog or any blog working as an archive is to have a functioning tagging system. this can be as simple or as detailed as you like. my tagging varies depending on the blog & the fandom. for example: @xmenuniverse & @batfamilycentral are dedictated to comics & its varied adaptations, so not only do i tag by character, post type (#gif, #graphic, #video, #still, #picspam, etc), i also tag the media type (#comic, #tv, #movie, #vg, #animated) & i try to tag each comic, movie, tv series (for example: #c: batman, #m: batman returns, etc).

for blogs like @opla, @falloutprime & @ringsofpowerdaily, since they are only dedictated to a specific tv series, my tagging system is different. i tag characters, by season (#s1, #s2, etc), by episode if possible (#1.01, #1.02), as well as post type & whether it's an edit of the show itself (#tv), the cast (#cast) or fanart (#art).

- self care

last, but most definitely not least, it is important you put yourself 1st when running a blog, ANY blog. source blogs can be a lot of work, & unfortunately sometimes ppl don't value it as much as they should. it's okay if you can't make new edits all the time, it's okay if you can't check the tags today or if you have to take a break or that request is taking too long. ppl will have to understand.

I managed to find this tumblr post button set tucked away underneath the tumblr ui. It needed some cleaning, but it's usable. I'm writing this in hopes that someone will find this, that someone will hear my story, that someone will know, that I was here. I was a qsmp fan.

I've been inside this "qsmp server break" for what I can only describe as a long time. I say "a long time" because I've lost track of the days, they've lost any sort of meaning.

I was put in here since, at least from what I was told, that the qsmp, the worlds first multilingual minecraft server, closed for maintenence. I don't have any memories before that point.

Ever since then, I've been here, on tumblr, waiting for the server to open.

I was told that the "admins" would re-open the server. Is the island being changed? What does an admin look like?

This fandom is the only home I've ever known. I was told that if I ever left on my own, the server would never re-open. So I stayed here.

There's nothing in here. The discourse tag that never shuts up, the fan-artists, the theorists, the live-bloggers, and me. I survived off whatever old clips appeared on my dash, and working on my months outdated wip fan content. I hated it, but I could survive off it. I wanted the server to reopen. I wanted to watch.

I've always dreamed of the server re-opening. Seeing quesadilla island, seeing q!cellbit and q!baghera return from purgatory, not worrying about server resets or inmate crucifixion, learning words from new languages, waking up at 5 in the morning for an event. It sounds nice. I dream about it in my sleep and daydream about it when I'm awake.

Maybe the server will re-open. I got new buttons to click daily on qsmp.global, but then they stopped updating. As if a fire was lit, and then extinguished. I took a personality quiz, then nothing. It's been a long time since then. Will another button ever come?

It's been so long. I've tried to keep hope, that's all I've had, hope, but it's running out. I don't have much left. This is where I stayed, this is where I survived, but I wanted to get a chance to see the server. I don't know if I'll ever get that chance.

I hope that this isn't where I die. I want to see the server. I don't want to die here. I want to see the server.

Why did you choose your URL?

It's a combination of a couple of old jokes I had from middle school, the older of which was actually kind of a mean thing that I won't get into. However, KanoNavi was the second iteration of my old url FritoNavi, and because it rolled off the tongue better I decided to just switch to that full time.

I've tried sideblogs a couple times in the past, but they never stuck. I prefer to keep everything in one place, even if it means bombarding my non-Genshin mutuals with Genshin all the time (Sorry guys, thanks for sticking with me lol <3)

My archive goes back to 2017, but I did change URLs once so I think I might have started in 2016? Sometime around there.

Before tumblr, I was on DeviantArt to follow Splatoon fanartists, and some of them mentioned having Tumblr so I decided to join that too!

Venti's been my personality for like 3 years now, and this is one of my favorite fanarts of him (I love his smile, he's so delightful <3)

Creative Goals Summary (July)

Well, I survived the month, somehow! I don't really know what I'm doing with progress and goal tracking anymore, lol. Honestly my brain is fried, and I'm really just trying my best to squeeze in some creative stuff in between what feels like 1 billion other things, so you get what you get until things calm down, I guess!

Goals are split between “things I will put on Tumblr when they’re done” (aka, fandom stuff), and “things I will be keeping to myself” (because they will eventually have my real name associated with them).

Fandom stuff (WhOOPS ALL GARGOYLES edition):

1a). Gargoyles oneshot (“joined in love (not in hate)”) Status: 75% complete (EDITINNNNG and still writing. No progress since last week).

1b). Accompanying fanart for the above fic Status: 10% complete (no progress since last week). Honestly if I'm working on this at this point it means I'm just procrastinating on writing the above thing. Moved!!

2). OTHER Gargoyles oneshot (“The Room of Infinite Mirrors”) Status: 95% complete. It’s… I think it’s done, actually?? Might end up doing some more nitpicky rereads, but more importantly I need to figure out how to tag it appropriately on AO3. Not sure I’ll announce it here when it’s posted, you might just have to go looking for it. It’s the second NSFW thing I’ve ever finished/intended to publish, and it’s WAY more substantial than my previous effort, so uh………………. yeah, there’s that!

3). Self-indulgent babygirl fanart Status: 61% complete. Tiny, micro-tweaks happened. Moved to August? Or sometime, lol. I’m in no hurry; kicking my feet and giggling over it regardless.

4). Other fanart jeezus Status: Done. Did some digital doodles more than a week ago to blow off some steam. I've been hesitant to post them, and at first it was because I was feeling oddly shy, but now I realize it’s because I want to do more with them, and I’ve been nothing recently if not foolhardy and ambitious. So stand by!
