Went to an apartment showing. The apartment itself is pretty nice but the hallways are ugly as all get out. That's fine though. The hallways at my current apartment are all dressed up and fancy and it pisses me off TBH
#it kind of turned me off when i first went in but then i saw that the apartment itself was nice and i was like yeah sure okay#i dont live in the hallway#as long as there are no spike traps#which there arent#the big question is how much of my heavy furniture am i willing to lose because it is on the 3rd floor and the halls are narrow#i have my desk. i am keeping it. non negotiable#i have many little shelves. i can lose them. the apartment has built in bookcases#i would keep one because its very cute and i like it#and possibly another to put in the bathroom#but all the others can go#dresser. i would be okay with losing it emotionally but i would need to get some sort of replacement to put my clothes in#fast food table from the chik fil a that was remodeling#depends entirely on whether or not i can unscrew the legs. i think i can but i have not checked#nice little dining set that was given to me by my moms best friend who was awesome and unfortunately is dead#i could lose it but at what cost#emotionally. i mean#it would fit in the apartment to be clear. i am debating whether i feel comfortable asking a friend to help me carry it up there#idk let me go see if theres any chance i can get the top off the legs#edit: legs are held on with wood screws. youre not supposed to take it off but it looks like you CAN#as long as its not also glued#i would do it for the chance to keep the set. its a good set and i love it

Word on the street is negotiations between the WGA and the studios are still currently taking place going into the evening…
#byler#take everything with a grain of salt#until the wga updates#nothing is set in stone#but for reference#it’s about 7:30pm rn for them#they have been negotiating for 8 hrs..#the fact that they are said to still currently be in talks and could continue to be negotiating into the night...#in person...#that is not normal.#usually they will talk during business hours and separate around 4-5pm max#bc if a deal is not being met there is no reason to go further into the evening#unless of course they feel they are close to a deal and it’s worth it to keep pushing through..#some major writer accounts are talking about staying up until midnight for an update#bc if it takes that long for an update then it would presumably mean they made the effort to stay to get a deal made…#also the fact that the executives are there in person is making me sort of hmmm#i don't see a point in them all coming together for days and hours on end going into the evening now#only to not strike a deal#and then be forced to come back to the table a month from now#looking dumb af#so…#I would say I’m more hopeful than I was before..#like maybe tonight#more likely something more tangible tomorrow…?#maybe a deal next week?#I’m hoping rn next week might be definitive actually#regardless#stay tuned for wga statement 🫡

you know i had a lot of teenagers be annoying around me today, a couple of them were really obnoxious *to* me today... kind of day that a year and a half ago would make me cry when i got home but as i've built a tolerance for it, i'm fine wake up at 5:30 tomorrow and do it all over again 👍

something I've always kind of wanted to write is two unlikely allies on the run together (maybe escaping from a war zone or a disaster?) but they don't speak the same language
but describing body language is hard enough lol I feel like it would work better as a movie or tv series or something, especially with the more neutral perspective of film. I'm never going to make that but it's a concept I would love to see
#I'm imagining they each have different knowledge and skills to bring to the table#maybe one of them is native to the area and knows the flora and fauna#and the other knows the language/culture of an invading army perhaps?#one of them knows how to fight and the other doesn't#only one of them knows first aid...maybe has to instruct the other one what to do/get for their own injury#only one of them knows their destination#and meanwhile they have to negotiate and learn to trust each other and learn to communicate#and maybe even keep choosing each other even when they both find other people/groups they could go with instead#limitless potential!!!
