bayverse! April headcanons
because i hate the way megan fox was sexualised in the movies i wanna give her more personality than just being hot and smart 😭 i heart u bayverse April
- she thrifts! not just expensive 'real vintage' designer labels but everything, she also finds clothes than can be easily upcycled and tweaked for the boys. Her signature color is yellow so you KNOW she has rare and whimsical pieces she collects in her wardrobe
- speaking of which; she sews! Mikey often rips or breaks his stuff (like shoes and shirts) and hes always giving her bits and pieces to fix up. As much as Donnie is a tech wiz, Aprils expertise lies in the art of DIY! shes tried to teach Don how to sew but ironically its one of the few things he cant crack
- shes a stem nut, OBVIOUSLY! her and Don bond the most over new technology and the advancement of science and digital technology. her and Don made her a pc from scratch and its one of her most precious memories
- April has a really bad sweet tooth, when the guys get pizza for the rare nights in, she's reaching for Mikeys candy stash for sure (she makes sure to replenish it with all their shared faves)
- her favourite candy is anything sour! but actually sour, we're talking throat numbingly sour to the point where at the end of the bag all you taste is blood 💀 it freaks everyone out lmao
- she has a masters in journalism and a degree social sciences, its so important to her to give visibility to the stories rarely talked about. Shes very dedicated to her profession and genuinely gets mad that all vern cares about is attention from fans and the camera
- April is also very passionate about nutrition and fitness! she goes total big sister mode when the turtles neglect their protein intake especially with how big and physically demanding their jobs are. a few times she's tried to teach Leo how to cook for his brothers and hes just about learned how to not burn eggs on toast but shell be damned if she starts cooking for 4 6ft men 😭 respectfully not her job!
- she's incredibly protective of her friends, whoever they may be, even Vern. she doesn't take lightly to disrespect and she WILL trash talk you to silence if you make anyone she cares about feel less than
- when she was younger she wanted to be a zoologist or anthropologist. Like her dad, she's always had a love for science and research, but she loved animals so much as a kid and it crushed her when she realised her father was experimenting on animals
- she feels personally responsible for the turtles and Splinter, she visits them atleast once a night, whether on face time or in person. the fact that they feel theyll never be accepted in society weighs heavy on her heart. she wishes things were different
- she knows Mikey has a crush on her, but she doesn't know how to let him down gently and honestly doesn't wanna open that can of worms, so she just pretends she doesn't notice his very desperate flirting
- sleeper build april. SLEEPER BUILD APRIL. people treat her like shes fragile just because she's beautiful but shes also incredibly strong with amazing endurance. i mean hello?! SHE CAN RUN IN HEELS. thats badass
- she loves game nights w the turtles and Casey, she loves playing MK and her go-to character is ofc Mileena (goated and no im not biased)
- she may or may not have a dedicated collection of disguises for super sleuthing and recon. shes very proud of it and will give a tour if asked
- she wants to learn ninjitsu, just doesn't know if she should ask or wait to be asked. she feels awkward and sometimes wonders if its not her place, even though in reality Splinter would be happy to train someone so dedicated to justice.
- her favourite drink is banana protein smoothie!! the lair has a blender just for her 😭 they have to hide it from Mikey before he gets back into his liquid pizza phase again
- she likes hero comics/shows (like 2012 leo!). Naruto was her childhood and its kinda beautifully ironic that she's like a ninja by proxy now
thats all for now! its been like 5 years since ive written headcanons so sorry if the format is boring, lmk if you want more headcanons! ok bai

PROPAGANDA
Shou Tucker:
I think being a state alchemist would be considered roughly equivalent to having a doctorate in his world. In any case, pretty sure he lost his certification when it was found he experimented on his wife and daughter.
Donnie:
He has a HUGE interest in science and Technology, he’s cocky and confident in his abilities and constantly looking for praise from a parental aged adult. He’s considered a genius (by himself and others), and he’s done many unethical experiments such as; temporarily altering his own brothers’ brains to be more like him, creating an advanced Ai robot called S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N that eventually will turn evil on him and try to kill him in result of his brothers meddling with his tech, he altered a children’s birthday animatronic that also turned evil and spread its software to a series of robots that try to kill him and his team twice, symbiotically bonded his physical body with an alien space ship for a little bit, and many, MANY, more. He also has issues with empathy, physical touch, emotions he’s deemed “uncomfortable” in general, and feeling like he’s only defined by his abilities and what he can do for the team. All that plus a big pinch of Daddy issues, a heaping spoonful of trauma, and throw in a little bit of a skewed moral compass and I would say he is a registered mad scientist.

Stranger Things Episode Reviews:
The Vanishing of Will Byers (Season 1, Episode 1)
Synopsis: Following the Battle of Starcourt, Dustin attempts to adjust to life in high school as he deals with the fallout of being targeted by bullies and his friends growing distant. When he learns of a science fair taking place in Indianapolis, Dustin enlists the help of Eddie Munson to get the project off the ground as he begins to consider his future.............
Observations:
I ended up reading this book twice, prior to the 2024 Election. First time was difficult to get through due to a slow beginning and my mixed feelings about the last 4-5 pages. Rereading it a second time and thinking things through was a more positive experience, and I ended up having a lot of fun with the story, especially when it came to Dustin's science project and his personal adventure at the science fair.
In terms of how I'd rank it, I'd say it's definitely better than last year's Flight of Icarus, and even a cut above Lucas on the Line due to not having continuity errors. However, it's not quite to the level of Rebel Robin or my Top 5 best tie-ins in the series. There were issues with it, but the book does a good job sticking after you've finished it, and what it presents does make me excited for the direction they could go with Dustin in season 5.
I'll start with the parts I took issue with, and work my way up to the positives that made the book worth reading:
Part 1: Bullying (i.e. The First 3rd of the Book)
Those who have followed my blog know I don't have any patience for bullies. In fact, when it comes to Stranger Things and the themes it explores, I have a harder time watching scenes with characters like Troy, James, Tommy, Carol, Billy, Jason, Angela, the Rink-O-Mania crowd, and Two, in comparison with the horror aspects like the Upside Down, the Mind Flayer, and Vecna. A lot of it has to do with how the bullying is uncomfortably grounded in reality, as well as a lifetime of experience on my end dealing with people like this (both on social media and off it). The last year alone especially has been eye-opening with how shamelessly vile and hypocritical some people will be, especially if they think they can get away with it. It's gotten to the point I'm not hesitant anymore about blocking people, or dragging them over the coals if they continue to poke the bear one too many times. At some point, you either develop tougher skin and a "No patience for bullshit" attitude, or you continue to be a target and a dormant for these people. I chose the former.
Having read Lucas on the Line beforehand, I knew that a story focusing on Dustin between seasons 3 and 4 was bound to focus on him and Mike getting bullied, and wasn't surprised when they depicted it in all of its ugliness:

I'll be honest in admitting I never liked Jason as a character. When I first saw season 4, I pegged him immediately as self-absorbed and coasting on self-righteousness and arrogance (even before Chrissy got brutally murdered), and the way things played out did NOTHING to alter that perception. While I initially felt bad for him over the grief and anger of losing Chrissy, that immediately vanished the moment he whipped the townsfolk into conducting a witch hunt against the Hellfire Club without giving a damn about whether innocent people would be hurt in the process (which they were).

Since the release of Season 4, and the subsequent tie-ins that have accompanied it, my opinion of Jason has NOT improved, especially with how this book, Lucas on the Line, and Flight of Icarus depict him as a bully with his own prejudices and anger issues that would lead him to look for any excuse to pick fights with people he didn't like.

I would go as far to argue that Chrissy's death didn't turn him into a monster so much as it brought out the nastier aspects of his character that were already there to begin with. This dude was a timebomb waiting to detonate, and even if Chrissy hadn't died, something was eventually bound to set him off.
On top of that, Jason's treatment of Mike in this book is pretty awful, and only made him more detestable. It also makes his not-so-subtle threat to Nancy in "Papa" about going after Mike a lot more heinous in hindsight:

The book helps flesh-out Mike and Dustin's irritation with Lucas wanting to join the basketball team and why they have a problem with it. It also give context into why they believed Lucas was deluding himself when he claimed this would allow him, Mike, and Dustin to become popular in High School and therefore untouchable to bullies: That was ALWAYS a fantasy that was never going to happen. Jason and his squad were repeatedly awful to Mike and Dustin during their first year of high school, and no amount of Lucas kissing up to Jason was going to change that. Their frustration with Lucas was less about him wanting to play basketball (though neither of them show much enthusiasm for the sport to begin with) and more about wanting Lucas to wake up and realize how much of an asshole Jason and his buddies are.
I've seen fans criticize Mike and Dustin in the season 4 premiere for skipping Lucas's championship game to do Eddie's D&D campaign, and while I initially could understand that position, having time to reevaluate has made me realize they probably made the right call in hindsight. For all of his flaws, Eddie accepted Mike and Dustin and gave them sanctuary within the Hellfire Club, which made their lives in high school bearable. He even offered that same courtesy to Lucas in spite of Lucas also doing basketball (something that Jason had no intention of ever doing for Mike or Dustin while they were a part of Hellfire Club). Whatever acceptance Jason initially gave Lucas (which arguably had a lot to do with Lucas making the winning shot in the championship compared to if Lucas had messed up and cost them the game) came with strings attached. The moment Lucas crossed Jason is the moment he would become Jason's enemy, regardless of the reasons.
All of this makes me indifferent towards Jason's eventual fate. I'm not going to say I was glad he died, but at the same time, my sympathy was nonexistent by the time he bit the dust. Some people might call what happened to him Karmic Overkill, but Stranger Things has always made a point in demonstrating that karma doesn't distribute itself how you want it to. Decent characters like Barbara, Chrissy, Benny, Bob, and Eddie all suffered horrific fates they didn't deserve, whereas awful people like Troy, Tommy, Carol, Colonel Sullivan, Dr. Brenner, and Angela were lucky if they got any sort of comeuppance. Hell, Angela is one of the most loathsome characters in the entire series, and the best she received for her sadism and public humiliation of El was a Grade 2 concussion as opposed to the grisly death she arguably deserved.
Hell, I would go as far as to argue everyone in Rink-O-Mania who took part in El's bullying deserved a gruesome end a la Stephen King's Carrie, but I don't get to make that decision, and neither did El. They're all disgusting people devoid of any redeeming qualities, and I won't feel bad when they're eventually on the receiving end of the cruelty they've dished out (especially since none of them have the self-awareness to recognize how mean-spirited they are), but the cold hard reality is people like Angela and her ilk get away with that kind of behavior in real life (as we just saw a few weeks ago with the 2024 U.S. Elections). Characters like Angela and Jason getting any sort of consequences for their behavior, even if it's small, is cathartic for me, and that's not something I'm going to apologize for.
I will say that, for all the bullying Dustin experiences in this book, he handles it in a mature manner. A lot of this has to do with Dustin having life experience dealing with this kind of crap, and recognizing how pathetic and unoriginal it is:

Out of all the characters in the Party, Dustin is the one who adapts well to his environment, and it's a big reason he's been able to survive the hardships life throws at him. It's something I admire about his character.
Part 2: Dustin's Friendships/Relationships
Adding on what I previously said, it's notable Dustin is the one who makes friends the easiest. He may have come late to the Party (around 4th grade, according to him), but he was able to integrate seamlessly with Mike, Lucas, and Will, which is something the comic Stranger Things and Dungeons & Dragons depicts:

A good chunk of this has to do with Dustin working to find common ground with people and seeing the positive merits in others. It's how he developed his friendship with Steve and looks up to him in a big-brotherly way. It's how he formed a bond with Eddie in this novel. It's even how he's able to reach across the isle towards people like Ankia (who initially has a haughty attitude towards Dustin before she mellows out), or Danny, or Suzie, or the kids at Science Camp as depicted in that comic:

It's a good life skill that will serve him well when (and if) he leaves Hawkins alive.
A central focus in this book is Dustin reevaluating what he wants in his life, as well as how he views his relationships. Since the events of the Battle of Starcourt, the Party has split, and Dustin feels he's been left to fend for himself. In many ways, the structure of the story echos what Lucas went through in Lucas on the Line, except in this instance, it's Dustin aiming to try out something new in order to deal with the changes in his life. While Lucas veered into basketball, Dustin decided to put his intellect to use by entering a science contest. Unfortunately for him, neither of his friends express much interest in his passion: Max is depressed and isolated following Billy's death and Neil leaving her mom, Mike has shut himself away following Will and El's departure from Hawkins, and Lucas is in basketball training and hanging out with Jason's jock friends, which causes friction between Dustin and Lucas. The most support he gets for the project is from his mother and Eddie.
Speaking of Eddie, his introduction doesn't disappoint. Just like in Flight of Icarus, Eddie is someone who's moved past caring how others think of him (something Dustin respects him for), has no issue publicly calling out Jason and his jocks for their bullying, and is quick to adopt Mike and Dustin into the Hellfire Club (and later Lucas as well). Dustin's desire to impress Eddie, first by fixing his walkman and later his AMP box, is what inspires Dustin's science project: A Super AMP box of his own that would allow Dustin to record sounds, play them back, and measure changes in distortion and signal-to-noise ratios. With some encouragement from Eddie (as well as a promise for a drive to the fair and an arrangement to listen to Eddie's playlist of Heavy Metal music), Dustin heads out on his own side-quest (as he cheekily puts it).
The friendship between Dustin and Eddie is a highlight, and Eddie's attempts at helping Dustin are hilarious as well as heartwarming. Eddie is someone who likes Dustin for who he is, and encourages him to not let others tell him who he should be:

In many ways, Eddie reminds me of Jay from Lucas on the Line who also acted like a mentor figure/friend to Lucas, and motivated Lucas to be his true self.

The tragedy is, in spite of both Jay and Eddie being positive influences for Lucas and Dustin, both of them were cruelly driven out: Jay was forced to move after being targeted in a racist attack against him, whereas Eddie got scapegoated for Chrissy's death and died before he got to clear his name. It's a parallel that reminds me of Karen's words to Nancy in season 3: "This world, it beats you up again and again until eventually........most people, they just stop trying." Both Dustin and Lucas have always been fighters (same with the other members of the Party), but it doesn't make it any easier that the people they care about disappear from their lives when they're at their most vulnerable.
Speaking of vulnerable, part of the conflict Dustin has with his friends is also similar to Lucas's conflict in Lucas on the Line where both characters are going through their own hardships and assessing whether their friends will actually be there for them. Dustin does clash heads with Lucas over basketball, but a good chunk of that has to do with the crowd Lucas is hanging out with. Dustin knows Jason and his jocks are NOT nice people, and is baffled over why Lucas would want to be someone like that:

It takes some time, and a few missteps, but Dustin is able to eventually not only see Lucas's perspective, but also Mike's perspective regarding his issues, and make amends with both of them before things permanently fall apart:

This isn't much of a spoiler since the group is united again at the end of season 4, but the suspense leading up to that point comes from HOW they're able to keep their friendship together in spite of life's tribulations. There's a moving scene at the Video Rental Store where Robin and Steve hold an intervention to get Mike, Dustin, and Lucas to reconcile. During it, each find out that, despite the surface differences, their fears are similar in nature: Behind Left Behind. Losing friends. Failing the people they care about. Their bond is a lot stronger than they give it credit for. And as Steve notes, a lot of the problems they're having are manageable if they're willing to talk through it:
Speaking of Steve, it was nice seeing the book cover his relationship with Dustin. Just like in season 2, Steve takes on the role of mentor as Dustin keeps barging into his workplace (oftentimes before Steve closes, or else scaring off customers in the process) to vent about his issues. Steve, of course, takes it in stride, and offers what advice he can (along with the new video releases that Dustin is interested in).
I was initially worried this book would feature petty jealousy and contrived drama between Steve and Eddie over which of them Dustin liked the best as a friend (similar to what the show Supernatural did with Sam and Dean Winchester in Season 8 when they introduced the vampire character Benny and tried to play him as the new "brother" that Dean wanted over Sam). Thankfully, the book steers clear of that. We get brief glimpses that Steve is insecure that Dustin has started to lose interest in him as a friend (something that Dustin refutes in the narration), but Steve never becomes actively malicious against Eddie or tries to prevent Dustin from seeing Eddie (which is in direct contrast to how the Benny/Dean/Sam drama played out in Supernatural). The regrettable thing is that, had Steve and Eddie talked beforehand (similar to how Steve was encouraging Dustin to talk to Mike and Lucas before making any rash decisions), they could have become friends a lot earlier before season 4. 😞

Suzie also makes an appearance, and just like with Steve, she acts as an encouraging presence and voice of reason for Dustin as he's navigating high school. Their interactions are sweet without being over-the-top, and they even run a book club where they discuss novels they're reading together. In fact, compared to Mike and El's stilted communication while they're apart in different states, Dustin and Suzie are a lot more open with each other about what's going on in their lives (minus anything to do with the Upside Down). It makes their relationship look healthy in comparison.
I know people see Suzie as a "take-or-leave" character, but I like her, and I'm glad Dustin and her are a couple. I'm not sure what the future holds for them, but I hope she is eventually clued in to the Upside Down. I'm also hoping we get to see her interact with other characters besides Dustin (like she did with Mike, Will, Jonathan, and Argyle in season 4) and maybe even have some kind of role in helping Dustin against Vecna's army. Who knows? Her intelligence and love for fantasy could be put to good use in that situation.
We also see a little more of Dustin's friendship with Will in how they keep in touch via letters. It's a relationship that remains solid, with a nice balance between Dustin's intellectual side and Will's perceptiveness. Will encourages Dustin with his science project, and gives advice to Dustin regarding his difficulties with Mike and Lucas, as well as what he should do with his future:

There is something to be said about Dustin and Will being the glue that holds the Party together. Considering that Dustin is able to talk about his problems easier with Will in letters than he's able to with Mike or Lucas, it gives the impression that, out of all the members of the Party, Dustin is able to relate better to Will. Or maybe it's because it's easier for Will to speak openly about his thoughts and emotions, compared to Lucas and Mike who struggle more.
Dustin's interactions with Max and El are shown briefly, but aren't given the same in-depth look as his other relationships. Dustin is aware of Max's depression and living situation (and later finds out she broke up with Lucas) and does what he can in offering to be there for her. As for El, while he doesn't know the particulars, he picks up pretty quickly that El is unhappy in Lenora for reasons that are obvious to the audience (May Angela continue to get hit in the face with a heavy object every day for the rest of her miserable life). 😒
Finally, there's Dustin's relationship with his parents. The few interactions I've seen between Ms. Henderson and Dustin have always given the impression they're close and that they do a good job supporting one another, and this book confirms that. She knows that her son is a genius and allows him to nurture his creativity and scientific interests (even as she's having to call the power company multiple times since Dustin uses up the electricity in the house). I like their mother/son relationship, and I'm disappointed she's not coming back for season 5.
As for Mr. Henderson..............Dustin sums it up best to Eddie:

This is pretty consistent with how Walter Henderson was depicted in The First Shadow, and I'm glad the book includes this nod to the play.
Part 3: The Science Fair
The middle part of the book, which deals with Dustin building his "Bard Box" (i.e. the AMP box he uses to record sounds) and his adventure with Eddie in Indianapolis, was my favorite part. Not only does it feature great bonding moments between Dustin and Eddie (including the hilarious revelation that Eddie has a fear of ducks), but there's a fun mystery Dustin stumbles upon while he's at the fair that allows him to put his deductive skills to work. It's a plot with similarities to the comic Science Camp in that Dustin meets a group of nerds like him whom he befriends and they work to track down a culprit with malicious intentions.
Just like with Science Camp, I won't reveal the particulars or who the culprit is, but it was pretty easy to figure out the culprit's identity. However, the journey with Dustin and the new friends he makes is enjoyable, and I wouldn't mind seeing those characters again in a future tie-in. There's also a fun bit with Eddie having to look after a duck named Frodo Quackins (yes, that's actually his name) and his ability to improvise and entertain people:

If Eddie had survived, he could have had a career in theater, and he would have been good in it. 😞
All of this leads up to a moment where Dustin is offered the opportunity to escape Hawkins and attend a prestigious science school called Eastwood. And the remainder of the book deals with Dustin struggling over whether to accept the offer or not.
Based on how season 4 went, you can already guess how that panned out.
And this brings me to where Dustin's story goes from here......
Part 4: Dustin's Future in Season 5
I've speculated for a while that, just like with Nancy's crusade to get justice for Barbara in season 2, Dustin will be trying to clear Eddie's name in season 5 for Vecna's murders. Based on the BTS photos they've released, it looks like there's a long road ahead for him:

I'm hoping there's a major payoff to this potential arc beyond just clearing Eddie's name. Part of the reason I brought up bullies like Jason and Angela earlier in this review is because I've started to grow sick of seeing the main characters repeatedly getting dumped on while receiving zero credit for putting their lives on the line to save the world. Meanwhile, assholes like Angela and Jason make the main characters lives a living hell, all the while enabled by the people around them, and are either coddled for their behavior (Angela) or memorialized for it (Jason). While I doubt Angela or any characters from Lenora (including Argyle) are coming back for season 5 (though if she does return for some reason, I hope Vecna causes Angela's head to explode), I have a sick feeling that Jason's hold over Hawkins will still be there by season 5, and characters like Dustin will be dealing with the fallout of Jason's crusade. Whether it's in the form of Jason's basketball team taking revenge for their fallen comrade, or Hawkins residents swallowing the propaganda about the Hellfire Club being a Satanic Cult, I expect life isn't going to be easy for a while. That's not even getting into how Dustin will still be grieving Eddie's death and having to put up with the slander thrown Eddie's way.
What I'm hoping for is that, during all of this, there is an eventual reckoning for Hawkins. That the residents are forced to come face-to-face with the lies, the bigotry, the prejudices, the bullying, and all the uglier aspects rooted in the town's social structures and history. I'm not going to be happy if the townsfolk remain passive while reacting to the horrors around them as the main characters are forced to do the heavy lifting in keeping Hawkins safe. We've seen that for 4 seasons now. It's old and tired. The status quo needs to be broken in a major way that forces changes in Hawkins which will actually stick. The show has hinted in season 4 that it could go in this direction, especially with Vecna destroying the town and opening a large gate, and I'm hoping season 5 makes the most of it.
There are plenty of stories out there that have done this. J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings did this with the Scourging of the Shire where the Hobbits had their lands decimated by Saruman and his men, and were forced to take up arms and become self-reliant in fighting back and no longer remaining isolated from the world around them. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood also did something similar where the main characters were forced into a reckoning with how the nation of Amestris was formed, as well as the corruption rooted in its government, and make hard but necessary changes that would bring peace to the world and allow for a better future. That is the kind of arc I hope Stranger Things explores with Hawkins in the last season. Not just having the main characters receive credit for defeating Vecna and the Upside Down, but actually having the residents of Hawkins play a role in that and go through a permanent change in the process.
As for Dustin.........if he survives the events of season 5, I hope he gets the opportunity to leave Hawkins and pursue his scientific interests in a way that makes him happy and allows him to keep in contact with his friends and family. He deserves that much.

Characters for the New TMNT 🐢
❥ Hello everyone! So this will be similar to my previous Kingdom Hearts posts where I’ll try to predict a few things for the future! It’s just for fun but I hope you guys enjoy! 💚
⚠️ Also quick warning, there are spoilers for the Mutant Mayhem movie & the Tales of the TMNT on Paramount! ⚠️
Casey Jones - Okay, so I understand there was a scrapped concept art for Casey Jones from the Mutant Mayhem movie. But whether Casey ends up being a boy or a girl, I really wanna see their friendship again! They always have good chemistry together, & I can imagine them meeting if Raph tries out for the hockey team at school! Jones is like the best player on the team so Raph has some beef. 😅 Not intentionally but I can see a rivalry happening (lol).
Karai - This was more of a what if moment but since the Shredder will likely appear in the sequel movie, Karai would be like one of those characters that turns good in the end. Likely because she never wanted to serve the Foot Clan in the first place. It would also be cool if she went to the same high school as the main cast, either before or at the end of the film.
Slash - This character was also what if moment, since Slash is usually a small villain. But I really like what the 2012 TMNT did, making him a hero during his arc! I feel if he did show up in MM universe, I can see him being a bit of an antihero at first? Or some kind of mutated crook before agreeing to help the turtles out.
Mona Lisa - Raph’s love interest I feel was pretty underrated until the 2012 version put their own spin on things! She’s one of my favorite characters & I’d love to see her again! For this version, I would like to see a human design since we haven’t seen that before! But then she gets mutated later on & perhaps that can be a new story in the future? With humans getting mutated too at some point.
The Rat King - So, I’m actually not so sure for this one? I know Splinter was the Rat King temporarily during the Tales of the TMNT show. But I did see a post, unfortunately I can’t remember where 😅🙏, but someone said that Bad Bernie might end up being mutated? I can see that, especially since he already looks like a rat or mouse. And he did come back after the East River 3 Arc.
Miyamoto Usagi - Okay this was a lot tougher than I thought. 😅 I understand Usagi is like from an alternate dimension usually? And for a funny spinoff series, that could still work? But maybe more on the science-style of things rather than the magic side? Like maybe TCRI makes a giant portal & the turtles get sucked into it. Landing in Usagi’s dimension by accident!
Venus de Milo - I have yet to see the 90s movies but I’m still a big fan of Venus de Milo! She is so cool & I feel she’s a good contrast to the boys. I’m not sure if she’d be related to them or not, but we can stick with the cousin thing for now. Anywho, for her backstory, I feel maybe she was another experiment from Baxter Stockman? Or maybe TCRI who wanted to recreate his project but she escapes! And meets the turtles!
Irma Langinstein - So I only know Irma from the 2012 version of TMNT, but if she were introduced into MM I feel there’s a lot of cool stuff she could do! Maybe she’s a human friend April makes or she’s some kind of ninja turtle fan girl (lol)! But so far I’ve seen people portray her as a super smart kid & becoming best friends with Donnie, which I like!

A ROTTMNT contribution to the Turtles Together zine
Alternate realities
----- I'm very proud to present to you my poem for the @turtlestogetherzine! The physical copies have already all been sold in leftover sales, but you can still buy the digital bundle here if you'd like. I'd recommand reading it on AO3, but if you'd rather stay here, be my guest! -----
Four brothers hang out under the clouded moon, Basking in New York City’s noises and light. They talk and they laugh on a roof out of sight; It’s too late for duty – and for sleep, too soon. They may be teenagers but at their center Lay powers and forces that never tire, Sparks of energy, everlasting fire – Often at the service of quips and banter. The Blue one gushes about a job well done, The smile of the Red one is nothing but proud, The Orange one wonders silly things out loud Of which Purple knows much, yet kindly says none. “If everything changed,” Orange suddenly asks, “In another life, or place, or world, or time Would we keep our colors? Would we still wear masks? Would we still be ninja turtles fighting crime?” Red and Blue whistle and start theorizing Orange happily helps their ideas fuse But Purple falls silent. His pulse is rising. Science is calling. Who is he to refuse?
Between dearest walls, he retreats with his tools In one hand a pen, in the other a cup Both needed for work – he doesn't make the rules. Hours become days, still the math won't add up. As he struggles hard to make equations fit Something starts nudging at the back of his mind. He is close – to what? He cannot quite name it Then, in a split second, dimensions unbind.
It feels like his thoughts Are now being shared. He tries to reach out. Perhaps, if he dared –
Contact. Confusion. New realities. Alternate versions. Other families.
He sees things that he doesn't remember Unknown memories blending together.
Echoes of voices, Tales ancient and new All of them are his; All of them are true.
His instincts kick in The gears start to spin Narrowing on – There! The thing they all share –
Struggle. Everywhere. Missions, miseries Mortal ennemies Pressure and anger Menace and danger
Every version of him Every version of them They all stand. They all bite. They all dread and they all fight.
And Purple flinches. Can this be their essence? Responsability over insouciance Honor and duty against opposition Sacrifice for all without recognition?
No. That can't be it. This isn't who they are, Their fate can't be written with tears shed so far. In his heart, he knows there must be something more; With a switch, e feels it, pulising at the core.
The bad and the good things flow from the same source And he shifts and pushes to swim up its course. It all comes from a place of fondness and care The urge to take risks, to protect and repair The sense of justice and the dedication All boundless affection in demonstration.
The feeling is strong. As he follows its trace, The fragments of truth at once click into place. There, clear as day, is the universal law: Accross dimensions, the Turtles don't withdraw.
Lightheaded, Purple comes back to his senses. His lab feels too small; he needs wider spaces. He goes to the kitchen – the pizza smells nice Watches his brothers fight over the last slice Leans in the doorway and finds himself staring. His soul is catching up; his heart is flaring.
The familiar shouts of loss and victory Help him se the fabric of reality. No matter the world, no matter the plots twists In every timeline, his family exists.
The rift between their universes is crossed; Everywhere, there are green heroes in the night There are masks and colors even when all's lost There are sparks and fire ever shining bright
Faith stronger than doubt, Trust louder than fear Hope warmer than drought Love closer than near.
------
Thanks for reading! This was my first experience being in a fanzine and I must say it was quite the first time. I'm still astonished at the sheer quality of each and every contribution, but also at the professionalism and efficiency of the mods, not to mention everyone's enthusiasm through the whole project! All my thanks again to the Turtles Together zine team for letting me in and my regards to all my fellow contributors out there, keep being awesome guys <3

April and the Ninja Turtles
Chapter 3
A mutant humanoid rat lay before her, on the verge of death. April stood frozen, as if time had stopped. She was terrified — this creature, straight out of a science fiction movie, was almost twice her size! Her mouth opened and closed in disbelief as she grabbed her work phone and searched her contacts for Dr. Stockman. But just as she was about to hit the “call” button, she stopped abruptly.
The rat in front of her raised its paw toward her and placed it gently on her forearm before she met its cloudy, pleading gaze. Lost in the darkness of his eyes, April couldn’t bring herself to press the call button.
Why should she call Stockman? After all, he wasn’t someone trustworthy, and he was dealing with clearly dangerous people who had tried to kill this mutant. On the other hand, she was standing in front of a giant rat who could just as well wish her harm — even if deep down, she believed that this “Shredder” must be far more evil. Then April made a crucial decision that would change her life forever.
She had to fix what she had broken.
“I… um… I’m going to help you, Mr. Rat,” she said hesitantly, before grabbing him by the arms to drag him toward the alcove that had suffered the least damage — the laboratory.
Clearing the debris off the couch, she gently laid the unconscious mutant down and rummaged through all the cabinets, most of which were filled with scientific equipment. Luckily, she found a first-aid kit and rushed to the rat, whose breathing was shallow and wheezing. She began by cleaning and disinfecting his open wounds and covering them with sterile gauze. But what worried her most were the injuries she couldn’t see — if he was suffering from internal bleeding, there wasn’t much she could do. Her only option was to wait patiently for any sign of change.
Sitting on an office chair for over an hour, she watched the old rat sleep deeply. As a scientist, she was fascinated by the mutation he had undergone — but as a human, she was scared, keeping her distance. There was something human about him, beyond just his humanoid appearance. He wore a dogi, worn and faded — once purple, she guessed. As she studied him, the hairs on her arms stood on end when he suddenly opened his mouth and spoke with difficulty.
“M-My… s-sons…” he whispered through clenched teeth, wincing in pain.
He spoke?! she thought, shooting up from her chair, eyes wide with shock. She backed away as he turned his pained gaze to her and slowly reached out a paw, as if silently asking her to come closer.
“You helped me… I-I am very grateful,” he said.
April was taken aback by the way he spoke. His wise, aged voice almost made her forget to be afraid.
She couldn’t find any words. She was facing something her brain couldn’t comprehend — a creature that shouldn’t exist. What kind of experiments was Stockman running? And why? Why create mutants that were half-man, half-animal?
“You…” she began, blinking and furrowing her brow, stepping carefully closer, struggling to string words together.
“This is… completely insane!” she finally exclaimed, moving toward the rat, feeling no threat coming from him. And in the state he was in, he couldn’t really do much anyway.
“Who are you?” she asked, unable to hide her fascination as their eyes met.
“I am just a simple sewer rat. They call me Splinter,” he said, placing a paw over his aching abdomen.
“Splinter? Where did you come from?” Now kneeling beside him, she listened intently.
“Once, I was just an ordinary rat. I had a master named Hamato Yoshi, who practiced martial arts. But my master was murdered out of jealous rage by Oroku Saki. That man took me as a trophy, knowing how much Yoshi cared for me. But he didn’t stop there — he also took the four baby turtles beloved by Tang Shen, Yoshi’s fiancée, who was also killed. He fled to New York with us and met a renowned scientist named Baxter Stockman.
Together, they planned to create a powerful, obedient army using animals and a green fluid called ‘Mutagen’. Saki, who had formed his own clan called the Foot, entrusted us to Stockman for his initial experiments. To them, we were nothing but test subjects…”
Splinter paused as a fit of coughing overtook him, anger flashing across his furry face.
“The turtles and I endured terrible suffering in that lab. They were so young… I couldn’t let them continue their cruel experiments. So I destroyed the remaining mutagen, took the turtles, and escaped into the sewers. I knew nothing of the world above, but I knew I had to protect them at all costs, to keep those men from ever getting their hands on us again.”
Splinter clenched his fist, overcome with emotion as he told his story. April sat beside him, hanging on every word.
“We managed to evade them for a while, which gave me time to teach them Ninjutsu, in honor of my master Yoshi. But Oroku Saki and Baxter Stockman never stopped searching for us, because of the mutagen running through our veins. Then… a week ago, three of my sons were captured,” he finished, trying to sit up — but the searing pain immediately forced him back down.
“They took your sons?” April repeated, her face deadly serious as she recalled what shed seen on her first day on the top floor of the tower — the reinforced doors with special locks down the main hallway.
“Before the explosion, I was here with my remaining son, Donatello. We were working on a plan to infiltrate the T.C.R.I. tower and rescue them. But after the explosion… I remember nothing. Where is he?” the old rat asked, looking around anxiously.
“I… I haven’t seen anyone else,” April replied, rising from her crouched position to look around.
“They took him too?” the rat’s trembling voice tugged at her heart.
“I’ll find him. I promise you,” she assured him with determination, raising a hand to calm him. He relaxed slightly, sighing with difficulty before continuing in a more composed voice.
“What is your name?” Splinter asked, stopping her just as she was about to leave the lab.
“April O’Neil,” she answered with a small smile, then began her search.
This was all her fault. She had just handed them the final blow, just because she was so eager to prove herself to the city’s greatest scientist — to follow in her father’s footsteps…
Looking devastated, April searched through the rubble for the missing turtle, though she had no idea what one would even look like.
A mutant turtle… what does that even look like? she wondered, stumbling a little as she refocused on her search. Time was running out.
The place was huge and almost completely buried under debris from the fragmentation bomb, which had done massive damage in the confined space. Chunks of concrete still fell occasionally, echoing ominously as they hit the ground. Though she was in the sewers, the stench wasn’t as bad in this abandoned lair.
She paused when she saw a katana stuck between bricks, then leaned over a hole in the floor to see if someone was trapped inside. She lifted a cabinet to check underneath when the atmosphere suddenly shifted.
She felt a threatening presence behind her — but before she could react, a staff shot past her and yanked her back hard against something solid. The force was overwhelming, and she couldn’t fight it. Her hands gripped the staff, trying in vain to break free and breathe. She could hear her attacker’s ragged breathing, and when she glanced down the length of the staff, she was stunned to see green, three-fingered hands, covered in wounds.
“D-Donatello,” she whispered, eyes wide.
But then she heard him groan behind her before his grip loosened, and he collapsed to the floor. Still gasping for air, April instinctively clutched her throat, coughing. Swallowing hard, she hesitated to turn around, afraid of what she might see.
Finally, she slowly turned and looked down at the unconscious figure on the ground. Two arms, two legs, a head… and a shell. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the mutant lying before her — he was much larger than either her or the rat.
Wearing worn-out pants, the turtle was equipped with various electronic gadgets, straps across his shoulders, suspenders holding up his pants, and a car seatbelt fashioned into a normal belt. But the detail that caught April’s attention was the purple bandana tied behind his goggles.
Her hands trembling, April snapped out of her daze and cautiously approached him to assess his injuries. His right arm was bloody, and so was his face. But what worried her most was his cracked plastron, from which blood was trickling.
“Oh no,” she whispered, standing up and brushing strands of hair from her forehead.
In that condition, she couldn’t move him. She had to stop the bleeding first — and time was running out. April ran as fast as she could back to the lab and searched frantically for anything to treat him with, her hands shaking uncontrollably.
“April? What’s happening?” Splinter asked worriedly, watching her panic.
“I… I found Donatello. I need to help him — fast!” she stammered, finally finding another well-stocked first aid kit.
“Take me to him!” Splinter tried to get up again, gritting his teeth through the pain — his son’s life was at stake.
“You’re in no condition to move. Stay here and… trust me,” she said, pausing to meet his eyes, her hand raised to silently ask him to stay.
“I know it won’t be easy, but you have to trust me on this.” She waited until the rat nodded in agreement before racing off in the other direction with the kit.
Back at Donatello’s side, she knelt down and focused on the wound in his plastron. Hesitating, she gently touched his surprisingly warm shell. Swallowing, she cleaned the wound with a sterile solution, then held the cracked shell in place with her hand to prevent further movement.
She grabbed a needle and thread, ready to stitch — but stopped when she realized it wouldn’t help. How do you even stitch a shell?!
Tossing the needle aside, she searched for another solution, panicking more as the bleeding worsened.
April grabbed a roll of bandages and pressed them against the wound, wrapping them around his torso to hold the gauze in place. She slipped her arm under his shell and pulled the bandage through with difficulty due to his size, setting aside her fear of this surreal creature.
With care and precision, she managed to wrap his torso securely, stabilizing the cracked shell and stopping the hemorrhage.
Breathing a sigh of relief once she was done, she could finally move him to the lab. Looking around for a way to transport him without worsening his injuries, she spotted a large tray and slid it underneath him. Positioning herself at his head, she carefully grabbed his arms and dragged him back.
Splinter’s heart nearly stopped when he saw his son — bloodied and unconscious. Choking up, he slipped from the couch to crawl to his side and placed a comforting paw on his forehead, tears streaming from his dark eyes.
“No… My son, what have they done to you?” he wept, under the guilty gaze of the human girl who bit her lip, holding back tears of her own.
How would she ever explain to them that she was the reason this assassination attempt had happened?
…
To be continued…

Who do you say is the best cook in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles inde?
Splinter by far.
Splinter was a good cook even before he was a father of four boys, which was one of the things Tang Shen loved about him.
He tries to teach his sons, but they either have no interest, (like Raphael) or have been permanently banned from the kitchen (like Leonardo).
Donnie is the best cook of the brothers because of the science/chemistry that goes into cooking, but everyone is kind of suspicious that he’s using the food as a way to test out some kind of weird experiment on his family.
The note pad definitely doesn’t help ease that concern.
Lol, Good question! :]

So there's a headcanaon, that's somewhat true, where depending on which turtles you're talking about, they can become pretty resistant to various different chemicals, medications, and to a point radiation.
So what would happen if they built up a resistance to Caffeine?
There's many coffee addict Donnies that would be very upset, and try many odd combinations to get a caffeine fix that will work.
But part of me imagines Donnie experimenting with coffee plants to make a coffee that is just about not safe for Human consumption, and they find a way to sell it, either whole bean or ground. There are different blends all are named science puns. There was a fight over what to call the brand, The Caffeinated Turtle won the naming contest.
Not sure how popular it would be, but it's definitely popular with the college crowds that find it.
On a different spectrum, what if one of them had the 'caffeine makes me sleepy' effect instead, or only the caffeine in certain tea works, and they have to grow special tea blends to find a very effective one.
Actually combine these, have Leo be only affected by tea, and they also have a line of teas to go with the coffee. But of course medicinal teas are going to be a must! Names are Ninja puns, or space puns, whichever fits.
This idea is open for interpretation, I mean you could toss in a Medic Leo, make it so they get high instead of hyper from caffeine. Let the creative ideas flow!!

Vintage Toycore is a visual and emotional aesthetic that centers on the nostalgic appeal, cultural history, and sensory experience of toys primarily from the mid-20th century to the early 1990s. This aesthetic movement and niche interest reflects both a historical and sentimental fascination with toys from past decades, drawing heavily on childhood memory, early consumer culture, retro design motifs, and the psychological effects of nostalgia. Vintage Toycore is rooted in both the tangible collection of vintage toys and the intangible experience associated with them, such as visual style, media portrayals, packaging, marketing, and the broader sociocultural context in which these toys existed.

Vintage Toycore refers not only to the physical collection and appreciation of toys produced in earlier decades but also to an aesthetic that romanticizes their cultural and emotional value. The “core” suffix, borrowed from internet culture and visual classification systems (such as cottagecore or vaporwave), signifies that the focus is less on the object itself and more on the feelings, visuals, and atmosphere that those objects evoke. It is not merely a collecting hobby but also a subcultural aesthetic that permeates visual art, photography, fashion, interior design, and digital culture.
The aesthetic typically includes, but is not limited to, toys such as:
Plastic and tin wind-up toys
1950s–1980s dolls (e.g., Barbie, Chatty Cathy)
Action figures from the 1970s–1990s (e.g., G.I. Joe, Star Wars figures)
Wooden toys and puzzles
Vintage plush animals (e.g., Steiff, early Gund toys)
Fisher-Price Little People, Speak & Spell, and educational toys
80s and 90s battery-operated and electronic toys (e.g., Tamagotchi, Game Boy, Polly Pocket)
Board games and card games with retro design
Original packaging and promotional materials

The foundation of Vintage Toycore is inseparable from the post-World War II consumer boom and the golden age of industrial toy production. The late 1940s to the 1980s saw a transformation in toy manufacturing, driven by mass production, the rise of plastics, television advertising, and the globalization of children’s media.
1940s–1950s: The post-war era introduced affordable mass-market toys. Companies like Hasbro, Mattel, and Fisher-Price emerged or rose to prominence. Toys such as tin robots, wood-and-metal trains, and early plastic dolls became staples of childhood.
1960s–1970s: This period brought increased sophistication in toy design and marketing. Action figures such as G.I. Joe (1964) and Barbie’s continued evolution mirrored shifts in gender roles and social expectations. Educational toys and science-themed kits were also popular amid the Space Race.
1980s–1990s: Often viewed as a peak in toy culture, this era introduced highly merchandised toy lines tied to TV shows and films, such as Transformers, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and He-Man. The rise of Japanese imports like Tamagotchi and early video games contributed to the broadening of what could be considered a "toy." Bright colors, molded plastics, and techno-optimism defined this era's toy design.
These decades now serve as the primary reservoir of inspiration and material for Vintage Toycore, which values the visual language and emotional resonance of these eras' toys.

The aesthetic of Vintage Toycore is defined by specific visual, auditory, and tactile markers, often evoking a synesthetic response that blends sight, memory, and emotion.
Vintage Toycore frequently uses:
Muted pastels and saturated primaries (especially in 1950s and 60s designs)
Neon and synthetic hues (typical of 1980s and early 90s toys)
Off-white plastic yellowing from age
Patterns reminiscent of early box art and branding
Plastic is a dominant medium—both shiny and matte—used in molded toys and packaging.
Tinplate and wood, more common in earlier toys, represent craftsmanship and durability.
Flocked materials, rubber, and early synthetic fibers are also common, especially in plush toys.
Typography often includes bubble letters, blocky sans-serifs, or hand-drawn fonts used in toy packaging and early advertisements. Box illustrations from pre-digital printing are prized for their charm and distinct style, often featuring optimistic, smiling cartoon children.

One of the defining features of Vintage Toycore is its strong relationship with nostalgia. The psychological term "reminiscence bump" explains why individuals remember and are emotionally attached to media from their early years. Vintage Toycore capitalizes on this effect by evoking feelings of safety, joy, innocence, and familiarity.
The aesthetic also intersects with concepts in developmental psychology, particularly object permanence, transitional objects, and the role of toys in early identity formation. For adults who embrace Vintage Toycore, the toys often serve as symbolic anchors to an idealized or emotionally resonant past.
Furthermore, the aesthetic is sometimes used in therapeutic or introspective contexts, such as memory work, inner child healing, or creative expression.

Vintage Toycore manifests in both physical and digital spaces. Key communities and expressions include:
Vintage Toycore thrives on platforms like Tumblr, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, where users share curated photos of toy collections, aesthetic compositions, or nostalgic reflections. Hashtags like #vintagetoycore or #retrotuna categorize related content.
Vintage toys are frequently traded or displayed by collectors. Condition, packaging, rarity, and provenance are important. Some collectors focus on pristine, museum-quality toys, while others prioritize emotional or aesthetic value regardless of condition.
Photographers often stage vintage toys in elaborate dioramas or surreal scenes. Visual artists and illustrators incorporate toy motifs into pop-surrealist or retro-futurist compositions.
Some embrace Vintage Toycore through clothing styles inspired by 80s and 90s children's fashion, often mixing bright colors, playful patterns, and cartoon motifs. In interior design, the aesthetic appears in pastel-colored shelves, toy displays, and the use of retro furniture, evoking a child's playroom.

From a cultural studies perspective, Vintage Toycore sits at the intersection of consumer history, childhood studies, and design history. It reflects broader societal trends including:
The commodification of nostalgia in late capitalism
The infantilization of adult consumers and the rise of “kidult” culture
The aestheticization of memory and material culture
Eco-critical perspectives on plastic and permanence in consumer goods
Academic work on toys by scholars such as Gary Cross and Steven Mintz also contextualizes toys as windows into shifting cultural values around gender, technology, and the family.

Vintage Toycore overlaps with but is distinct from the following:
Kidcore: Focuses on bright, rainbow-colored designs and childlike motifs, often blending new and old. Less historically anchored.
Weirdcore/Dreamcore: May incorporate unsettling or surreal toy imagery but aims for liminality and disorientation rather than nostalgia.
Nostalgiacore: A broader term encompassing all nostalgia-themed aesthetics, including Vintage Toycore as a subset.
Cottagecore/Toylandcore: Occasionally overlaps in terms of vintage sensibility, but focuses more on natural or fairytale elements rather than mid-century consumer culture.

Some critics argue that Vintage Toycore, like other nostalgia-driven movements, risks sanitizing or idealizing the past. Issues include:
Cultural erasure: Emphasis on Western toy design can marginalize toys and childhood experiences from non-Western or marginalized communities.
Environmental critique: Many vintage toys are made from plastics and synthetic materials with long-lasting ecological impacts.
Consumerism: The aesthetic’s focus on collection and ownership can reinforce consumerist values under the guise of nostalgia.
Nonetheless, many within the community seek to balance appreciation with critical awareness, viewing the aesthetic as a way to re-contextualize past artifacts in more mindful and creative ways.

Vintage Toycore represents a deep and multifaceted engagement with the past—one that blends material culture, emotional memory, and artistic expression. It offers a lens through which to view not only the toys themselves but also the societies that created and cherished them. As both an aesthetic and cultural movement, it continues to evolve in conversation with technology, memory, and the timeless desire to revisit the magic of early play.

PROPAGANDA
Hiriluk:
An odd scientist from Drum Island. He wasn’t very popular with people, and his methods were shaky at best. Still, he believed in alternative methods of curing the incurable. But he was a doctor, and the king wanted all doctors besides his own dead. But Hiriluk was already dying of his own incurable disease. So he exploded. But he told the people he wouldn’t be die…not while he’s still remembered. His legacy would be carried not just by the people of Drum who hated their corrupt ruler, but by his friend, Kureha…and his son, Tony Tony Chopper.
Donnie

Which ROTTMNT characters you would date?
I'll be describing the characters from Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that you would want to date. Leave your answer in the comments.
Raphael
Raphael is the oldest of the turtle brothers (unlike his other counterparts), he is the leader of the TMNT, instead of Leonardo. He has a large muscular body that you can't help but feel attracted to him. He is exuberant (otherwise cheerful) and passionate, though he can impulsive, not rationalizing before making a decision.
Raph has a soft side, he's tender and kind. He'll always protect the people he loves and comforts them.
Leonardo
Though Leo made be frustrating to deal with, he's arrogant, wanting to prove himself he's the best, doesn't take things seriously and puts full faith in himself instead of others. But, when you get to know him better, you'll see that under the surface he's really just insecure and just wants to be accepted by others, wants to be more than "the face man". You can find him relatable that you want be accepted by others and be more than what you are. Leo would see the error of his ways and would willing to make it up for it.
There are times when he decides to be serious and sensible, he would use his charisma and relaxed, flexible nature to sway to you when you're down on your luck.
If you like a person who is flamboyant, Leo would be your type.
Dontatello
If you have a thing for nerds or geniuses, Donnie's your man. He has high intellect and skills on technology and general sciences. If, there's something technology you really want, Donnie would be the one to build it for you. He can be annoying when he brags about his high intelligence, he will describe his latest inventions at length, not realizing he maybe boring the others.
Donnie has a fear of being nothing without his brains and tech, but you'll be the one to encourage him that it's him who's important to you, not his tech.
Donnie is autistic (confirmed by the creator) as he struggles to understand certain basic human emotions and emotional outbursts, which you can relate to him how difficult it can be when you have a disability.
But, his emotional experiences are very different from the average person. Donnie can be a terrible liar, as you can easily tell by his expression and the tone of his voice.
Donnie has a passive-aggressive streak that takes people off-guard. You can be his lab partner, but his workshop is personally off-limits.
Michelangelo
If you like someone who is playful and lighthearted, Mikey is your guy. He is intuitive, able to adopt new skills quickly, determine others' problems, and at times accurately predict situational outcomes.
Mikey is creative at heart and he uses his creativity in various ways. He is family-oriented and compassionate, Mikey is openly sentimental and encourages others' emotional vulnerability.
Mikey has three personas he created: Doctor Delicate Touch, Doctor Feelings, and Doctor Positive. To deliver a harsh truth in his "Doctor Delicate Touch" method, Mikey often starts off being sweet, but quickly becomes angry and frank. Doctor Feelings uses his emotional intelligence to advise others, and Mikey faces issues with determined optimism as Doctor Positive.
Mikey never gives up and puts faith in himself and others.
Hamato Yoshi/Splinter
It would be surprising why would anyone want to date Splinter? Considering the fact that he's absent-minded, lazy, stir up mischief and trouble with his sons, but don't let his appearance fool you.
Back in his younger years, before his mutation. He was movie star as Lou Jitsu, he was famous all over even Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute are fans of him despite being unaware that he's a member of the Hamato clan. He is also the Battle Nexus champion in Hidden City.
His appearance is mixed of Elvis Presley and Bruce Lee, that would make fawn all over him.
He is a very skilled martial artist that no human or creature can beat him, which give Baron Draxum the idea to infuse his DNA with the mutagen on the turtles. Yoshi did vowed to put his fighting aside, he's not afraid to fight in order to escape Draxum's lab with the turtles.
After, he got mutated, he choose to raise the turtles he rescued as his sons. Splinter maybe extremely flawed and doesn't spend much time in family outings, but he deeply cares for his sons.
Long ago before he ever became Lou Jitsu. When he was a young child in Japan, he listens the story of the Shredder from his grandfather Hamato Sho. Then on the spring day, his mother, Hamato Atsuko left her father and son so that she could perform her clan duty, which devasted Yoshi.
For many years, his grief over his mother leaving him made him bitter towards his own clan, disbelieving the existence of the Shredder, and decided to abandon his family duties.
You can feel bad for him, knowing what it's like to lose someone you're close to and with a reason to resent your clan or family.
Splinter may not be the young charming man that he was in the past, but he is full of surprises.
"Age has its privileges"
Baron Draxum
If you're interested in dating a villain, Draxum is the one. This Yōkai looks very amazing in his mask and bodysuit, and even has his minions: Huginn and Muninn lay on his shoulders acting like shoulder pads.
Although, he does desire to take over Earth's surface by mutating all the humans for his mutant army. But, you cannot deny his skills in combat and alchemy, even his powers, he can grow vines out of nowhere, he can create portals, and made gauntlets out of plant-like substances. If you have a taste for theatrics, Draxum is the one, he does his speeches in a dark manner and overall dramatic posing.
He may resent towards humans, and is responsible for Splinter and the turtles' mutation years ago, but he would become more sympathetic to the humans when he developed a friendship with April O'Neil.
When he was reformed, he can be hard to open up, so you have to take with him slowly.
April O'Neil
If you're looking for someone who is adventurous? April O'Neil is your girl.
She is upbeat, quick-witted, selfless, and go-with-the-flow, she is very brave and is quick to jump into action, she is not afraid to put up fight on anyone: human, mutant, creature, or animatronic.
She has a forgiving nature, she's very loyal to her friends and family, and she'll always be by their side.
Cassandra Jones
Cassandra Jones or Casey Jones may be a tough one to date with, she can be intense, do frantic speech pattern, and the tendency to shout.
But, when you get to know her better, you'll get use to her behavior.
Sunita
She made be a slimy Yōkai, but Sunita is enthusiastic, fun-loving, and feisty, embracing herself as a Yōkai in everyday life. She enjoys trying out new things and is open to experiencing all the sights and activities New York City has to offer. Sunita isn't afraid to fight and defend others.
