I love that we're getting more non-binary characters in video games, especially in JRPGs and the like. My favorite hero from Xenoblade 3 is Juniper. I love them so much. And I'm also finding out Halara from Raincode has no specified gender and is referred to by "them".

i'm applying for a fellowship that required my faculty supervisor to write me a letter of support and yesterday he very shyly emailed to say he was nearly done but wanted to confirm my pronouns. i'm a cis woman who is just very very tall (before you ask: 6'2") and uses a nickname bc my given name is too Dutch for most folks (apparently) but i have just discovered that for the last two-ish months i've been in the program, everyone has been dancing around my pronouns and substituting my name more than is normal bc no one wanted to misgender me and were apparently just waiting for someone to either use pronouns in front of me or for me to use them myself and i think i have truly reached my final queer form
#this is kind of wild tho right bc like. usually no one used pronouns in your presence bc they are designed to be used to replace a name#so like yeah. it's true. you're not really around when people are using your pronouns. lol#and i never thought much about people stumbling over my name/how they reference me in seminar bc. well. i'm used to that#my given name usually makes people just blue screen with panic when they have to say it out loud so i didn't think anything of it#turns out they were about to use a pronoun and switched to saying avery last second. and i am tickled about it.#people also knew i was bisexual wayyyyy before i ever said the words out loud myself#like a tonne of people's reactions were that they thought i'd been out for a while#and talking to an old coworker about a weird conversation i had with my old boss asking me if queer employees felt okay being “out” at work#and i was like “pfft. he didn't even know he was talking to a closeted queer employee!”#and she looked at me like i was so so naive and said “i think he knew exactly what he was doing when he chose to ask you that”#and turns out he was probably just baiting me to out myself bc that's the kind of place that was and yeah queer ppl don't feel safe JAMES#but anyway.#i know i'm not cis in the way most people consider themselves cis#i use they/them when i'm being self-referential - mostly by accident - but i prefer everyone else use she/her#at least for now#but i don't feel like i'm not cis either? bc i am the gender i was born with - which is... none? maybe?#and i know that's not how everyone interacts with the cis/trans labels. and that's fine. you do you and i'll do me yk?#but i don't wanna be seen as agender/non-binary by using they/them or even she/they#if people sense gender tomfoolery themselves then i actually feel much better about that than if i identified with she/they tbh lol#actually i want that as an option when selecting gender now#sex? female. gender? tomfoolery.

thinking about top scars again, but I'm seeing the link here between "you can't make top surgery scars in artwork look exaggerated/"cooler" because that's unrealistic and you're being cringe" really ties into a LOT of transandrophobic/anti-trans masculinity rhetoric that relies on trans men being "cringe" or "lame". Like some people within the community (and even outside of it) excuse their cruelty (in more casual settings such as engaging with media or creating artwork) with the age-old "Well you're cringe and embarrassing, your joy is embarrassing to me so it's okay for me to treat your like you're lesser"
It's not the same as the systemic oppression that trans men face ofc but there's always this lingering cloud around trans masculinity that A: assumes that your existence and joy is childish and embarrassing and B: doesn't permit you to actually HAVE something cool, like stylized top scars in artwork, because then you're trying to be cool which is also cringe.
As a side note; Non-binary people also face this a lot, it was the basis of the argument I had with that other person who insisted that non-binary people don't experience oppression to the same magnitude as binary trans people while he peppered his takes with "Moss only has to worry about people not accepting their pronouns while they dress like a girl" (where this means feminine person who was afab but is not a woman = attention seeker who doesn't deserve respect.) I'm not non-binary though and encourage other ppl who are to speak on their experiences.
Cringe culture needs to die. But it's not as easy leaving people alone who watch whatever show they want to no matter how shitty and childish we think it is. It also means challenging internalized bigotry that we may have deemed okay because everyone else is doing it.

Just a lil post about Taash and how I'm feeling about how ppl are reacting to them as someone who relates to them very strongly not only on the gender journey front, but also on the mom-issues front.
Cut for length b/c of course this won't actually be a "little" post lol
So I hear a lot of "Taash is too young" "Taash acts like a child" "Taash is too brash" "Taash has wildly binary views of the world" "Taash is thinks their reality is the world's reality" etc etc etc
And I'm here to say that as someone who realized that non-binary was a thing later in life, grew up trying to be them, but society was not only unwelcoming to that, but openly hostile at points, with a mom who had totally different interests, who very much wanted to protect them from the outside world to a point where it left them unprepared to deal with nuances of the world, etc, a mom who thought they were "just doing their best" but was never meant to be a mom, and never wanted to be a mom, didn't have the tools for mom-hood, who wanted to protect their child, but had no real idea how, and how every comment turned into the mom trying to steer her kid the right way, but just came out as a dig or a "you're not good enough" remark, AND looking after your mom in a world that is wholly unsuited to her, that she can't really adapt to and fit into, and kinda becoming her mom to a point so that your life completely revolves around her until you leave home?
Yeah. I get Taash. It's actually kinda freaky how, fantasy elements aside, I get Taash on a frightening level. (aside from the dragon stuff, we're both the same with that HELL YEAH DRAGONS)
Taash doesn't read young to me because I've always read young because of how I was raised. I didn't get the chance to figure myself out until I left home. I also had the benefit of being able to leave for college at a younger age, and got a chance to experience things away from my mom earlier. But seeing things in such a binary way, that's how it is when you're protected like that.
You don't want to admit how similar you are to how your mom sees the world, b/c she sees it in one way, and as you go through life, you get to learn differently. You come out of this situation INCREDIBLY judgmental at first. Why aren't THESE things conforming to MY reality. You come across as brash and childish. And when you get treated as such, it's triggering b/c that's how your mom treats you.
You hate how you look, you think you look like a freak b/c your mom is constantly commenting on your appearance. She does it out of love (she wants you to be healthy & not mocked by your peers) but she doesn't consider that constantly telling you not to look a certain way does damage. My self confidence only recovered in my thirties. I'm 4 days from my 38th birthday, and it took getting pregnant to finally be like "you know what, I don't hate myself & my body" which is MASSIVE for me.
So where do we get our self confidence? In things we enjoy, in hyperfocuses that we're good at. For me that's comics, naginata, fantasy & DA lore lol XD For Taash it's dragons, fighting, and working out. And when we falter there, it's devastating b/c it's the only way we can feel good about ourselves b/c our SELVES are disconnected and tucked away b/c they make us feel bad.
So I totally get how Taash reads to people. The autism aspects are more like my wife (who is autistic & has issues with social cues, while I'm HYPER AWARE of social stuff which fuels my anxiety b/c of the type of person my mom was and how I had to look after her), but I get it.
But it makes me sad when I hear people dunk on Taash as "bad writing" and "unrealistic" and "annoying" and it's like...is that how you see people like that? Is that how you see me and people like my wife? I feel like people aren't willing to look deeper so often (an issue with all the companions tbh & some day I'll have to get into my Davrin feels b/c BOY do I have them. Neve too, WHOOF) but I feel like if you do that in a game, I hope you don't do that irl.
anyway TLDR this is a Taash defense post b/c while they have a lot of issues, stuff they need to work out & have wrong opinions on stuff, they're growing, they're learning & they have to do it later than most. They're an incredibly complicated character with tons of nuance, and I can't wait to get deeper into their story and banter with companions in round 2 of my playthroughs, and then again in round 3
Sorry this is too long, and I'm sure not all of this was intended when they were written, but this is how it all clicked with me as someone who has lived a large portion of that stuff. Like, again, I'm nearly fucking FOURTY and I don't feel like I should be there yet b/c I started so far back. It ALSO doesn't help that ADHD wild child I was, I was held back in preschool b/c neurodivergence also makes a kid read younger, AND the choice to have me be the youngest in the class would have been a very bad one. So I'm older than most of my peers BUT I've always read younger, felt younger, and have had a sore spot when it comes to all that.
Thank you for coming to my Taash Talk, I'll be here all week to think about more stuff, including how their body makes them read as lady, and they're not sure how to feel about that, but they don't want to CHANGE it, but is it right?
ANYWHO this is why Taash is a fascinating character & deserves better than to be regulated to "annoying kid"

You know whenever a discussion comes up where ppl accuse a certain player of hogging the limelight too much or taking too big swings, I just can't help but think that there's this player who frequently has huge main character energy when he's a PC and who I've somehow never seen any such complaint about. You know who?
Brennan.
Brennan as a player gives off suuuch protagonist vibes! Evan Kelmp? Nikhil? (from battle for beyond) Hell even Tula? Look at me and tell me those don't have main character energy
To be clear I have no issue whatsoever with this, I love these characters, Brennan is great, and everyone in those games clearly had fun! Plus when a forever DM finally gets to play he absolutely gets to take the spotlight. I do not have any problem with players taking big swings
But. But I do find it fascinating that I've seen ppl criticize Emily, Ally, Ify, Rekha, Izzy, Lou and Aabria and others at one point or another for taking up too much space, for taking too big swings, for taking the spotlight too much, for optimizing their characters too much and so on and so forth. And I've never, not once, not on tumblr or twitter or youtube seen a single comment criticising Brennan for the same things. Despite the fact that he absolutely takes huge swings and loves minmaxing
And like. Considering the very obvious differences between Brennan and the other ppl I listed, y'know
Maybe next time you wanna be mad about someone taking a big swing in an actual play show, think whether you'd also have a problem with Brennan doing the same thing or if you just don't like a black man or a queer woman or a non-binary person take up space

hey there! so, im making a character who's Black, anddd i need help with them. badly so.
(sorry in advance bc this character isnt That developed or at least not as much as other OCs i have)
alright, they're an afab teen under the non-binary umbrella (im not sure on what gender i should give them). they're in a friend group with two other teens, one of whom found out she's trans, and that made them go like "wait maybe im not cis". they live in an extremely conservative christian town, and they're one of the few black kids there (it's an awful place to live, i make that very clear), which makes it so that they're not very connected with LGBTQ not POC communities - which is why their friend was the one who introduced queerness to them. they're the quietest of their friend group, quite autism coded but i dont think I'll really specify it, and they're a pretty normal kid all things considered (a bit of a self-insert personality wise lol)
when i first thought this character's gender arc, as the story will be very visual (animatics probably), i thought of them experimenting with gender by trying on their older brother's clothes. seeing they like how it looks, they decide to pick up a pack of scissors and cut their hair themself.
now, i remembered "oh fuck, POC usually don't like to have their hair messed with do they?" (i have read a bunch of posts abt that so im 99% certain lol-), then noticed how white the whole arc looks (i need more contact with POC i live in White Hell i have no other reference ;;), and that kinda discouraged me from writing them to the point i almost scrapped the whole character arc and even the concept- which is also why they're not as developed as they should be.
now, the actual question! how to write their transition arc, while also remaining respectful and realistic? also, have you noticed anything in this ask that's kinda fucked up, and how can i fix it if so? im doing my best to represent many groups of ppl with my OCs and i want to be accurate sorry if this ask is very long ;;
thank you so much for answering, and thank you for this blog!! you're very cool :)
So first, I deeply want to apologize for how late I am on answering this. I didn't want to answer without being informed, but I also know how much you want advice.
First, if this character is Black, say "Black" not "POC". Even in your head, start making that decision to be specific every time. We have a specific identity, we are not every man, and it's annoying to be referred to so generally when we have an identity.
For the hair part, check out this lesson. If your character decided to cut their hair off themselves, then it's not exactly an issue- it's their hair! It'd be different if it was someone they didn't know and trust touching their hair. You may feel free to refer to my entire syllabus if you want to do the reading to see if there's anything else you may have missed!
As for your question on their transition, this is the part that I was wavering on answering, because I'm currently doing the reading myself for a lesson I'm writing. So at the moment, all I can really say is to read narratives about and by Black trans people, and what that meant for them! That's a cool list I just found, I'm gonna save it for later as a reference.
It's not going to be received the same way as a white person transitioning, no; perception of gender identity and expression are going to be different depending on who's looking. For example, what does 'Black androgyny' look like to white people if they already believe that we have 'masculine' features? Thus the existence of the term 'stud'. Or how long hair is deemed feminine, but there are plenty of Black and Indigenous people whose hair growth is essential to their identity and has nothing to do with "making them girly".
I think what I plan on getting into more detail on in my lesson- and what you'll need to understand- is that following or even subverting gender "norms" is dependent upon what those cultural norms are, and how they might conflict at times. So to write a respectful narrative, you're going to have to understand what it means to live at that intersection. I hope this all made sense 😅 this is why I'm not confident in that lesson yet.

vinnie i LOVE your account!! <33
non binary!kimi antonelli + autistic!reader, they being highschool sweethearts, the ppl love them, and someday at (in ?) the paddock reader hear some ableist shit and kimi is pissed, you can change things if u want too
- sorry the grammar and possible mistakes, english not my first language also, can i be 🐈‍⬛ anon?
thank you anon!! your grammar is perfectly fine, and yes ofc you can be 🐈‍⬛ anon! i've added it to the claimed list so it's all yours <3
kimi isn't necessarily out as nonbinary in the paddock but he is to you
and you don't necessarily broadcast to everyone that you're autistic, but kimi knows
which basically translates to the two of you being so horrendously down bad for each other
especially because the two of you were completely comfortable with each other
the kind of high school sweethearts who literally have no secrets from each other (unless it's a surprise, of course)
the kind of high school sweethearts who have a better relationship than all of your friends' parents
literally the favourite couple of the internet
especially if you've been with kimi long enough to have shown up in his early prema videos
makes it very hard for people to claim that you're in it for the fame or whatever bullshit
if kimi's gone missing in the paddock everyone just looks for him in quiet corners
because he is undoubtedly tucked away somewhere with you while you cuddle and laugh over whatever videos he has saved on his phone
or you'll be filming him do all sorts of silly tiktoks for his private account
bonus if ollie is involved
but anyway
you're in the f1 paddock for the imola gp since it was the first race of the european leg
maybe a fan stops you and is trying to get you to take a photo with them but being quite pushy
so you're kinda trying to politely decline
and end up stimming out of stress
that's when they say their generic ableist comment
and you're already overwhelmed so obviously it's quite upsetting
what you didn't know was that kimi had spotted you and was coming over to greet you
and, more importantly, was in earshot for the comment about you
safe to say he is not very happy about it
might even start swearing at the fan in italian
he'll stop pretty quickly to take care of you though
he knows you can get overstimulated pretty easily in the paddock, so his main focus will be on getting you somewhere less chaotic
he'll still shoot the fan a dirty look and mutter under his breath about "how dare they" and numerous other insults
he'll talk to mercedes about making sure said fan isn't allowed near the garage
and he'll take as much time as needed to help you calm down
he loves you so much and he'll absolutely not let anyone be rude to you without consequence

Goddd I keep seeing ppl defend the use of "non-binary" and saying it's unapologetic and doesn't allow for interpretation and how that's good because that means bigots and chuds won't be able to look away and deny anything.
And like cool I'm glad that you found this empowering in some way but to imply that anybody who doesn't is a hater who doesn't get it or a bigot is uuh. Well it's fucking insane and I'm tired of being nice about it!! Sorry dude! If you think anybody who's uncomfortable with Taash's writing is a bad person then you're brain broken!
First of all the implication that representation should be written to pre-empt the reactions of bigots rather than to organically depict and integrate the people you're claiming you care about kinda sucks ass?? Kinda insane actually? And also like ... how has that worked out for them lmao. Taash has become the icon for Veilguard itself among the very chuds it set out to prove something to.
Second of all. Dorian didn't go around saying "I am a homosexual man. I am gay" but we still knew what the fuck his story was about. Sera didn't say "yeah I'm a lesbian btw" and we still knew! If they'd established that using modern language was something that was fine in previous games, this wouldn't have been as jarring. But they didn't!
Third of all I'm fucking tired of having my own discomfort with the writing of Taash be sneered at as though I, a literal nonbinary person who literally has a mother who doesn't "get it" and literally has struggled to figure out where I belong due to my multicultural, immigrant existence, am the same as a trans/enbyphobe for not liking the fucking SLOP I'm being served.
Like, it's fine! It's fine if you like Taash! I'm glad you relate to them and that you see yourself reflected in them! Genuinely! I wish I could say the fucking same! But if I have to see another fucking "um actually Taash is so so so so important to me and anybody who doesn't feel the same way is just a bitter hater and a bigot who doesn't GET IT" I'm going to start blasting.
The blanket-dismissal of genuine criticism as bigotry or just "not getting it" or implying that anybody not comfortable with this "representation" somehow has no emotional intelligence is so much fucking WORSE to see than the reactionary chuds. Like okay wow you, the person supposedly pretending to be SOOO concerned with enby rep in video games are telling ME, a fellow enby, that I'm the same as an anti-woke reactionary assholes who hate us both? Is this a joke??
Well, to be fair, I have yet to see anybody actually, like, tell me they're nonbinary but liked Taash. Mostly it's people going "well yeah um anybody OVER THERE who doesn't like them or is made uncomfortable by their writing is a bigot" without acknowledging that fellow enbies might fucking hate their writing, too. Because that would be acknowledging valid criticism. And we can't fucking have that, can we?
Fuck, man. You felt that Taash was good rep. I felt that it was bad rep. We're both entitled to feel this way, but you don't get to dismiss ME as a bigot because I wasn't pleased with this depiction of a nonbinary person.
Any enby, trans or cis (ally) haters of Taash who also didn't like their writing have my full permission to use all of my Taash hater posts to back up any argument they might have for why their writing sucks. I do not even care anymore. I'm a proud nonbinary multicultural Taash hater and anybody who tells me I'm wrong or bigoted for this can eat my shorts.
Also can we please. Can we please fucking stop with the "well you didn't have a problem with the word MAN or WOMAN so why does this bother you?" Like be so for serious. Be so so so so for serious. I won't even pretend that's a valid argument.
Anyway, give it up for the FIRST TRUE AND BEST ENBY REP IN DRAGON AGE:

ppl tend to act like you're exaggerating for disliking spop, since they love arguing "but it's a show about (romantic) love and redemption! you're just mad to see lesbians winning <3"
but the thing is, c//a ISN'T the only issue with spop.
it's all the "friendships" where the characters don't like each other OR WORSE, the "cool and popular" characters bully the ones that are "weird", "annoying" or "different" overall (read: entrapta and kyle).
most romantic relationships weren't written well or were downright forced, such as g/limbow, s/corfuma, and especially r/epkylonnie (rooted in bullying of all things!). even the healthier ships like s/pinnetossa or bow's dads were sidelined. they only gave spinnerella and netossa screentime in s5 bc they wanted to parallel them with adora and catra.
the diversity isn't even that good, honestly. the characters of color receive little to no love from the show and from the fandom. BOW, my god, he's not only the black best friend character, he also has no meaningful character arc. he's just there for the plot, he changes his personality and morals when the plot wants him to (especially to make catra look better). although glimmer was probably one of, if not THE best character in the show (saying this with s4 in mind), sadly s5 only shoved her with bow romantically since they were reduced to wingmen and not adora's actual best friends. and if i talk about the other characters of color, such as micah and castaspella, we'll be here all day, and i've written about it in other posts.
other than that, disabled characters (hordak and shadow weaver) are the villains, the canonical trans/non-binary character was deceiving the good guys by pretending to be a little girl, the themes of war were never taken srsly, only when it was convenient, and in the end the creator dared to sum everything up by "it's catra's and adora's show!!!".
yes, there were elements in spop that i loved, like the original best friends squad and entrapdak, and i liked the narrative of abuse when it DIDN'T spit on adora's face. i loved seeing her standing up to shadow weaver and catra for what she believed was right. like it was so inspiring! i would've loved this as a kid!
this show had so much potential but they teach the worst messages to kids, especially "they hit you because they secretly like you". that fucking sucks. i don't hate lgbtqiapn+ rep - the rep here is BAD. and again, the grievances ppl have with spop are BEYOND the romance!!!

I know I mostly talk only about hazbin & helluva right now cuz these are my main hyperfixations atm, but I have some hcs about the looney tunes and their sexual orientations/gender identities/both.
disclaimer: these are just my headacanons and opinions and in no way reflect canon. i made these going off of general vibes, my preferences and what i have seen in looney tunes media. ofc i wasn't able to cover all of it or take every single aspect ab these characters into consideration. the amount of looney tunes content is huge and each rendition of the characters different in their own way. if you disagree with any of these, cool, feel free to even interract, but stay decent without attacking me (or each other, really) for having a different opinion or omitting some obscure detail from the fucking 70s show. we're here to have fun remember!
anyways here you go girlypops💗✨️
Bugs Bunny - pansexual and genderfluid
he doesn't give a crap about people's gender & flirts with everyone
doesn't give a shit about gender norms either
sometimes he feels more masculine other times more feminine and he dresses depending on his mood/vibe atm
LOVES wearing dresses & make up, but sometimes he prefers more masculine clothing (again, depending on the mood)
usually tho he doesn't wear anything out of commodity
he's a 'casual dates' type of guy and can get fleeting crushes on random ppl regardless of their gender (but he can't see himself in a long term commited relationship with anyone except for daffy, but doesn't realize that yet shhhh trust me bros yeah, anyone)
he would be fine with any pronouns but mostly uses he/him again out of commodity
Daffy Duck - bisexual with a preference for himself
i think we all saw this one coming
WAYYYY too much homoerotic chemistry with Bugs (baffy ily sm pls come to me)
the way he calls Penelope or Lola "sister", like i'm sorry, sir, that's gay
i can see him also liking women tho tbh
he's giving ✨️chaotic bisexual energy✨️
himself will always come first tho, sorry everyone but y'all have nothing on this sexy duck ass💅✨️
Elmer Fudd - bi-curious/comphet
for some reason i see him questioning his sexuality after feeling attracted to Bugs in drag
but it takes a while for him to admit to or explore that since he is so used to the idea of liking women
Yosemite Sam - heterosexual
i don't see him as queer at all, he seems very straight to me
he CAN be a little fruity sometimes tho, i'll have to admit
but nahhh he's straight
insecure af tho
represses all the time
doesn't want to be percieved as weak so he tries to overcompensate by being overly aggresive
toxic mascilinity has this man in a tight grip, send your thoughts and prayers for him😔🙏
Wile E Coyote - asexual demiromantic
no attraction, just acme
usually doesn't look at people through the lens of physical or romantic feelings
he is a genius after all, his brain opperates differently than the ones of plebian simpletons that succumb to such primitive desires (he's undiagnosed autistic💀)
COULD fall in love tho as long as he has a strong intellectual connection first (which is VERY rare), but sex just won't be that important to him
Roadrunner - aroace, non-binary
no attraction/gender, just running
i kinda like the idea of them using they/them
this bird just looks genderless to me
Foghorn Leghorn - heterosexual
that's an obnoxious straight man who mainsplains the shit out of everything if i've ever seen one
not homophobic tho, just really annoying
Pepe Le Pew - bisexual, with a preference for women
despite mostly longing for a petite femme skunk or whatever, he would be in fact fine with men
it would take for him longer to admit tho
he'll get there eventually
but he is NOT straight i'm sorry that man is fruity af😭
also that one time he went chasing after Sylvester thinking he was a skunk without giving a shit he was male💀
like.... you mean to tell me he couldn't tell the difference between a MALE CAT and a FEMALE SKUNK?? really? that's your explaintation?? be fucking for real
i'm telling you he was so into it he just stopped giving a shit ab gender in that moment
dude saw a chance and went for it lmao
that man just wants a skunk to be in love with, that'a all
he is just too oblivious to realize his attraction to men because of his old-fashioned approach to romance and his idea that he needs to woo a lady😭
Penelope Pussycat - heterosexual
unfortunately Penelope has not escaped the straight prison😔
Porky Pig - heterosexual
i know, I KNOW, dafpork shippers don't jump me pls BUT.... i can't see him as queer😭
i'm sorry but i just can't, this dude is just a nice shy straight fella (not the gross type of nice guy but the actual nice nice guy)
he is giving malewife who is super sweet and simps for his partner and helps around the house a lot
but he also has that air of tradition idk how to explain
i admit, he CAN be a little fruity esp with daffy
but in my view it's just for gags and porky doesn't mind it because 1) he's secure in his sexuality & who he is
and 2) he is also very comfortable with daffy himself
like they've known each other for like 8 decades or smth at this point it doesn't even matter
things between them in my opinion are purely platonic, they are just touchy with each other bc they are bffs💗
maybe MAYBE he could have an experience with another guy just out of curiosity, but rn he is going strong with petunia and so it's not on his to do list
but yeah he is straight - but an ally obvs✨️
Petunia Pig - heterosexual
also an ally✨️
she gives me strong straight girl vibes who likes to stay at home and make fresh baked cookies - nothing wrong with that, slay queen💅
Sylvester - heterosexual/bi-curious
he has a son and a canon wife (although they seem not to be together anymore?? idk lt canon can be chaotic and confusing and it changes a lot anyway)
he never really thought ab it and was mainly focused on women
he started questioning after Pepe pursued him tho
despite resenting it at first (*cough* internalized homophobia *cough cough*) he started reflecting afterwards and was like wait why do i kinda find the idea of another man liking me hot??
Tweety - asexual panromantic & genderqueer
this bird gives no shits about gender
there is already a lot of people who don't know upon first glance if he's a boy or a girl and that's fine by him because he doesn't really want to be either
they just love the fact that people can't put him in a box and uses their long eyelashes, high pitched voice and gender neutral name to confuse others even more
they are fine with every pronoun but likes it the best when people mix them up
in the olden days he used he/him and didn't really mind BUT he DID mind the fact that people thought of him as a boy cuz like... it didn't feel like him
she actually liked when people called her a "she", not because she thought of herself as a girl, but bc of the notion that ppl couldn't pin point exactly what she was
that's why they quickly adopted she/her pronouns (it was the 50s but he couldn't give a fuck ab it💅✨️)
he stopped telling ppl what he was and let them use whatever pronouns without correcting them
later when he found out about they/them he had a major LETS GOOO moment
he loved the idea of being a genderless creature
nowadays they are a proud he/she/they user and LOVES when people use all of them (one time they call him a he, the other a she, then they uses they etc)
she doesn't consider herself to be anything and is an absolute MENACE about it
like full on trickster messing with people kind of thing
he also gets random casual crushes on people regardless of gender (without intense physical attraction tho)
Granny - lesbian
old lesbians, i love you💗
i know, i know she COULD be the lgbt ally grandma that comes to pride with home baked cookies but she ISN'T bc it's better this way :)
smth ab her being a lesbian just scratches my brain the right way
she is an old woman-kisser idc
have you ever seen this woman with a man?? nope, cuz she doesn't like them
she's also never been married and doesn't have kids
the literal definition of an old childless cat lady and happy about it
Witch Hazel - lesbian
sapphic witches, i love you💚
her and Granny are together and living the cottage core old lesbian fantasy bc i said so
Gossamer - genderfluid
they have no gender, just a... creature of fur existing
they identify with monster and that's it✨️
Marvin the Martian - aroace & non-binary
no attraction/gender, just boom boom
he is an autistic alien who uses he/they pronouns
touch aversed and just repulsed by any kind of romantic or physical contact
has no sense of gender and doesn't understand why the earthlings would label things like that
like... why are the earth creatures so closed minded??
the notions of gender, romantic and sexual attraction/relationships are completely different on Mars and he doesn't identfy with the "earthling" way of doing this AT ALL
just wants to focus on his hyperfixations and do his own thing in peace (aka blow up planets, slay king✨️)
Speedy Gonzales - heterosexual
that's a straight ally right there💅✨️
the deffinition of healthy masculinity
he would kiss another dude for 20 dollars tho, that's just a good pitch
Mac and Tosh (the Goofy Gophers) - gay
they are married, you honor
the cute gay couple next door who are always polite and welcoming🌈💗
The Tazmanian Devil - asexual heteromantic
he loves his wife, Mrs. Devil😌
other than that - no (sexual) attraction, just spinning
Lola Bunny - bisexual
space jam 2, i am looking right at your bisexual-coded lola, don't think you can get her past my gaydar
she's for the boys and the girls✨️
she is cis but likes to play with her gender expression, sometimes presenting as more masc (space jam 2, i'm looking at you again), othertimes as more fem (think tlts)

Note
what does being a boydike mean to you? because i looked up the definition but i wanna hear it from the source since im new to that label and id prefer authenticity over strict definition, thank you if u reply<3
this is such an interesting question!! thank you for asking!
i have a unique attachment to womanhood. i don't feel completely separated from it, but i have always felt a little bit of a disconnect from traditional ideas of femininity and the roles associated with that. i used to ID as a binary trans man (for like 6 years) and felt way more comfortable with my body after medical transition (top surgery and testosterone) and realized that my identity didn't need to be associated with manhood necessarily just because of the way i wanted my body to look. i use the term boy loosely, cause i'm not a man. i am boyish, if that makes sense. my label of butchness is both a gender identity and a sexuality for me.
another aspect of this is lesbianism. my idea of lesbianism (since i've tried to be knowledgeable of our history) has always been inclusive of gender nonconformity and transmasc/transfemme/nonbinary individuals. i will say, i didn't realize i myself could ID as a dyke until i read stone butch blues by leslie feinberg. (which was within the last 2 years) hirs depiction of dyke dynamics as they relate to being gender nonconforming, the intricate nature of dysphoria , and the feeling that one doesn't perform their gender assigned at birth in the way society wants them to, really resonated with me.
so yeah!! i would consider myself to be non-binary, but really i'm just mar. and the way i've loved women, other non-binary ppl, transmasc and transfemme ppl has always been queer, and for me, has always fit into dyke dynamics. i hope this answers your question in a way that is helpful!!! please ask for a follow up if there's anything i wasn't clear on!

The only thing ineffable bureaucracy showed me is how hyper focused this fanbase is at seeing one thing and one thing only and everything else is a result of that one thing
1) no, Beelzebub and Gabriel are not a straight couple. Nor is Crowley and Aziraphale a gay couple. Stop the non-binary erasure or go outside and talk to an actual non-binary person cuz clearly you have no clue what non-binary is "they're straight presenting" wtf? If you think that please give me your name so I can block you. Cis people, I fucking swear.
Reminder that Beelz used they/them pronouns btw. Sorry that Beelzebub doesn't "pass" for you, it doesn't make them any less non-binary. Not to mention it was stated and already IS CANON that none of them have genders. They're god damn demons and angels, bruh.
2) "it's Gabriel's and Beelz's fault that ineffable husbands didn't get their happy ending": no. It's their own damn fault for not communicating and Aziraphale's inability to accept Crowley as he is. Gabriel and Beelzebub put each other first. Y'all sound salty as hell cuz two people managed to work their relationship out and yours didn't work out. "But if they didn't get together---" y'all really saying shit like this??? Do you hear yourself? That's so sad. Wishing for the doom of one LGBTQ+ ship cuz the other fucked themselves over. THEY CAN BOTH CO-EXIST. And you know what? They will. Cuz Ineffable husbands is clearly canon, the story just wants time with them cuz they're the main characters, not like Beelz and Gabriel who were side characters so had their story summarized.
3) "that should have been ineffable husbands" no, cuz Crowley and Aziraphale aren't Gabriel and Beelzebub. They're different characters with different backgrounds, personalities, relationship structure, and different relationship dynamic in general. They'll get together in a way that fits THEM. And that way requires ups and downs that makes them finally understand that they're perfect for each other without the need for either of them to change.
4) Gabriel was such an asshole wish Crowley got his revenge and--- bla bla BLA : Crowley was happy for them. You hold a grudge over Gabriel that Crowley himself doesn't. Y'all worse than a literal demon. Smh.
Be happy for what we got and look forward to the future where ineffable husbands will certainly become canon and it'll be worth the wait. Don't tear down the LGBTQ+ presentation we got just cuz the main ship didn't get the limelight THIS TIME.
Let things cook, that's how writing WORKS.
But I'm just an Agender demi person and tbh? I would prefer if things took their time.
I love both ships a lot but I'm not gonna hold pitchforks over one ship getting a happy end and one still developing. Come next season, that happy end for Gaberiel and Beelzebub might not last. We DONT KNOW. Do we really need to sacrifice one for the other? Why can't we be happy to have both?
Just really think the vibe of the fanbase rn fuckin SUCKS and I'm not enjoying trying to go through the ineffable bureaucracy tag and seeing people complaining about how it should have been ineffable husbands or how it's their fault.
Okay? Alright.
After this imma start blocking ppl I swear. Just had to throw in my two cents.

I feel like a lot of the trans women saying that masculinity/manhood is always rewarded in everyone because patriarchy often forget that the opposite is true, actually, for people who are seen as women/put in the "woman" category.
Because yes, trans women are usually forced into manhood and "rewarded" for being men, and punished for being women. But that's not because manhood is universally rewarded in everyone, but because partriarchy sees having been born with a penis as "man".
It also sees being born with a vagina as "woman", and every deviation from that is *also* punished.
Yes, people who are seen as women/girls may have more freedom in expression of gender (depending on where they are from. I hate when ppl act like people afab everywhere can just dress like men without punishment. There are so many countries with laws on what "women" (and those treated as women because of their agab) can wear, and if anyone believes for one second that breaking these laws is REWARDED in any way, they're so fucking deep in their own head and need to talk to someone from these countries) but that freedom was fought for by feminists! Feminists have fought to be simply just allowed to wear pants. It's ridiculous to look at how it is now (in the western world) and make conclusions on that without looking at *why* it is that way now and how it was before.
And people are usually expected to grow out of their tomboy-"phase" by the time they reach their late teens, or early twenties at latest, and become a feminine woman, wife, and mother. If you don't do that, your masculinity gets punished.
And the masculinity of people afab is also only (begrudgingly) accepted (in SOME places in the world) as long as they're still visible as women or girls and their masculinity is hot and serves cishet men. As soon as they step "too far" out of these roles (by being non-binary or men, or being "ugly", fat, or anything that would make them "undesirable"), their masculinity gets punished. Horribly.
It's really infuriating when (trans)radfem trans women try to act like their experiences are universal and whenever someone says something that disagrees with them, they must be lying or "delusional" (yay, ableism! so progressive /s) for thinking that they were, in fact, punished for their masculinity or manhood...
Sorry for unloading this on you, didn't know where else to put it. And thank you so much for listening.
I think a major issue here is that no matter how much we try to reason things out and work through why they act the way they do, radical feminism, trans or cis, ultimately comes down, at some point, to a deliberate decision to prioritize egocentrism and their own desires over seeing other people as real, actual people - not even other transfems, who they just sexualize and try to control, or call a TERF if they can't. And it's hard to reason with that.
Like, they have to know on some level that they hyperinflate trans women in particular being "socially murdered"* to use as social capital and terrorize younger** transfems into isolating themselves. Maybe a very long time ago for some of them it came from the distress they felt from the legitimately immense danger transfems face in a variety of contexts, but they've shot far beyond that now and just don't really care. They've built a cage of unreality around themselves that makes me feel like I'm talking to aliens.
Like the other day, I was talking to one who insisted that the tee-em-ees will not show up for me. Like, I said they did, and she said they won't, and I was like, but they DO! They have! Always! I've seen it with my own eyes, directly for me specifically! But it was just "who hurt you," "let yourself be angry," "don't settle for just scraps," "they won't treat you better if you throw yourself at their feet," "social murder," and it's like WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? ARE YOU HAVING A STROKE? WAS THIS A DREAM YOU HAD?
And what about the deliberately cruel fuckery, the constant derision of the most petty things like forcemasc? What the fuck do they get out of wrongly asserting that women are never punished for masculinity and never have a problem with being viewed as masculine, like why are they doing that, what is their goal? Because it seems like it's literally just "mock and invalidate the sexual interests of others and deem it an inferior copy of our thing."
What do they get out of misgendering cis and trans men for forcefem funsies and telling them to suck it up? They don't really believe that their forcefem joke is the only thing that might make an egg crack. That's extremely obviously a lie. They're doing it because they want to, because it's their kink, because they don't care about the feelings of other people, and they can use transmisogyny as a convenient defense when people ask them to moderate literally any of their behavior for the comfort of everyone else to literally any extent while demanding everyone else shut up and defer to them on every single topic in every single situation.
And this stuff with D20 and Ophiuchus and the transmasc character being treated better? A lie. Just fully making it up. Inventing it. Fabricating it. For attention.
I've never had one acknowledge it when I've tried to explain that I first learned about all of this from transmasc friends bringing it to me so they could defer to my opinion.
They're determined to stay like this. It sucks.
*truly a phrase that makes me livid to even think about now, they reduce it to about the same level of seriousness as forcefem jokes, every single time it's so thoughtlessly hollow and self-obsessed but you could guess that from it being a fair description of every thought they externalize
**let me make this clear, I'm referring to young adults, I am not accusing anyone of being predatory towards minors nor am I saying the motivations are necessarily sexual anyway, although clearly transradfems don't care about the effect their hyperbole will have on the mental health of minors exposed to it and trained from a young age to never trust anyone, so underage transfems are very much a concern here, but not in the sense that they're being directly and personally abused in any way

I had the misfortune today to read the words "i don't care what non binary amabs think because they can just pass as a boy while trans women don't have that luxury" so
shoutout to amab nonbinary ppl on E
shoutout to amab nonbinary ppl who dress feminine
shoutout to amab nonbinary ppl who dress androgynous
shoutout to amab nonbinary people who dress masculine, whether it's in a visibly queer way or you do get seen as "just a boy", you still matter so so much too
shoutout to trans women who DO get seen as boys, whether because you're not out, you don't "pass", or any other reason, and it's not a luxury at all
amab nonbinary people are important. trans women, regardless of whether they're visibly trans or stealth or closeted or what, are important. amab trans people who "look like boys" are important. amab trans people who "look like girls" or "look androgynous" or just look "trans" are important. amab trans people are important.

15 Day BL Challenge - DAY 9
Hello, fellow humans. Once here again to bring you objectively correct opinions sdkjsdkskdsjkdjs /j
Most Visually Pleasing Love Scene
Well, gonna go ahead here and assume, like the rest of us, that love means sex and start talking about ppl getting it on skdjskdjksjd
See, I'm a firm believer that you don't need a nsfw scene to make a good series. But also, I am a firm believer there should be more gay sex (real or fake) in general. Therefore, I am always here to appreciate a good smut.
This being said, bc being bisexual and non-binary was certainly not a coincidence as you've witnessed thus far, this time I continue to not know how to pick just one winner. Forgive me.
SandRay Inside the Motorhome (Only Friends) & VegasPete (Kinnporsche)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's something really nice about the peace and happiness you see in both Sand and Ray (but especially Ray) in this scene. The kind of "everything is right as it should be" thing you don't really expect in a series like Only friends, tbh, but that I quite loved here.
Plus, as you may know, this series' lighting is SO FUCKING GOOD, every single shot in this series is CRAZY, I fucking love the aesthetic. Not to mention the soundtrack. But hey, I am digressing.
And VegasPete... Look, you can say whatever you want about the power dynamics (which I do enjoy, it's right up my alley actually) or Pete's unwashed ass HOWEVER, you can't say Bible's facial expressions and the bisexual lighting didn't work overtime bc they fucking served.
That scene changed me. I think I've watched it like... Idk, 30 times already? It's so fucking good!! GOD, I MISS VEGASPETE, WHY DID THAT PRODUCTION HAVE TO GO TO SHIT, WE SO DESERVED THAT SEASON 2!!!!
HONOURABLE MENTIONS: SandRay's 1st Time (Only Friends); BostonNick in Boston's House in Ep.2 (Only Friends); PrapaiSky's First Time (Love in the Air); JackJoke's First Time (Jack&Joker) & ABSOLUTELY ANY of YakDee's Sex Scenes (Wandee Goodday)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't condone smoking but SandRay's smoke kiss got me, okay? OKAY???
BostonNick trying to consume each other was absolutely everything. Love you, Ohm, really I do, you're absolutely adorable, but pls, GMM, I beg, GIVE US MORE NEOMARK!!! The energy is UNPARALLELED!!!
I could explain the PrapaiSky pick but we all love that scene so I'm just gonna say: EU TOU QUERENDO RELEMBRAR, A TUA SENTADA NO MEU COLO DEVAGAR~~~ DESCENDO E SUBINDO, DEPOIS TU GALOPA~~ EU SEI QUE TU GOSTA, EU SEI QUE TU GOSTA~~ sdkjskdjskdjkd
We waited for JackJoke and whoever says we didn't get what we deserved is absolutely fucking lying, THEY SERVED. That scene gave me chills, man. It was amazing.
They fucked so many times they all mixed together in my head tbh sdjsdksjd But I remember loving every single one of them, with Dee's house lights aesthetic and the pet play and all... So I'm giving them all a shoutout here.

Meeting Sandor Clegane headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: This is very self indulgent so reader is Black and plus size ( and I mean PLUS size). Also I'm personally Non-binary but I'm just so used to writing in female perspective soooo that's what i did ( I mean kinda, its ambiguous) :) This section is mostly just them meeting and falling in love.
Also lets pretend they know what stars are in this time period lmao
Also also I'm very open to feedback and any suggestions ppl may have so please feel free to leave me an Ask or Message!
Tw: Creepy men
Tumblr media
You are a lady in waiting for a visiting noblewoman in King's Landing. You're from a highborn house but left your home for the opportunities the capitol provided.
Most days you find yourself waiting on your Lady and learning the way of the court (which basically means learning to talk circles around each other). She's one of the few kind people to you in this city and it's not from lack of trying.
Being in a bigger body than the other women puts a target on your back for verbal attacks and harassment, and as much as your Lady does her best to shield you from it there's only so much she can do.
That's how you met Sandor
On your way back from Court one day you find yourself cornered by two guardsmen who had their eyes on you all morning. They poke at you with their swords, making comments about ripping through your clothes when Sandor rounds a corner and spots all of you.
He meets your eyes and turns to the guards, " What do you cunts think you're doing?"
They whip around confidently until they see him and stutter over themselves backing away. You take this moment to rush away but not before whispering a thank you as you pass him.
From then on you begin to notice him more often, in Court, on your walks through the garden, even during meals. The first few times you catch his eye he quickly looks away, much to your disappointment.
It wasn't often a woman of your likeness was defended by a man, let alone at all, so you try to make it a point to find him to thank him properly.
It's difficult catching him alone but one night as your looking at the stars from the garden you hear the clanking of armor pass behind you and stop, " What're you doing here?" A deep voice asks.
You turn to him, " Oh, sorry Ser I was just enjoying the stars. Aren't they beautiful? "
"I'm no Ser, just The Hound"
" Well that's not a proper name, what did your mother call you?"
He hesitates, " Sandor"
" Thank you Sandor, for saving me a while back. I don't know what I would've done without your help." You pluck a few large daisies from the patch of flowers next to you and hold it out for him. " It's not much, but if you press it between book pages they can be used as a bookmark."
He looks around confused, " Girl, I don't read. Now lets get you back to your chambers before you have another run in with that scum. "
Dejected, you place the flowers down but stay where you are looking up at the stars. It wasn't often you could sneak out and get a good look so you savor the moment.
He huffs looking up, " What's there to look at any way? Just a bunch of lights"
Laughing softly you say, " They are more than just lights, I mean I know what the Maesters say about them but I choose to believe something else. I believe they're our dreams and wishes, hung by the Gods as a promise to fulfill them."
You realize how silly that must be to a man who kills for a living, but as you turn to him to apologize you see his face turned upwards and his eyes shut.
You both take a moment in silence beneath the stars before you turn to walk towards your room, " Good night, Sandor. I hope the night treats you well."
( What you don't see as you walk away is Sandor picking up and pocketing one of the Daisies)
During the weeks following your encounter with him, you begin to see a change in his demeanor towards you. His cold stares turn soft and fleeting and when your eyes meet in Court or during meals they linger as if he's trying to solve something in your eyes.
It flustered you to no end and soon those stolen glances turned to greetings as you passed by each other, which seemed to happen so frequently now.
He also seemed to find you every night you snuck out to see the stars. It started out staying quiet as the first night, but quickly turned to whispered conversations under moonlight till dawn. You did most of the talking, but that was okay, he wasn't one with words but his eyes could tell you stories.
Every once in a while you were even able to get him to crack a smile at your jokes about Joffrey, but he was always telling you to be careful for unwanted listeners.
He was like that more often, looking out for you. You hadn't been bothered by any of the guards since that day, the kitchen staff weren't giving you looks as you plated food anymore and it felt like you were finally fitting in. ( as much as you could in this place)
You wouldn't know it but whenever he was in your presence, even from afar, his eyes would wander to you searching for any excuse to be close. One too many times he was caught doing so and had to swiftly deal with said person. The last thing he needed was any gossip reaching yours or Joffrey's ears.
And then one night it all ended. The battle at blackwater bay.
You were tending to the crying woman and children hiding when a large BOOM is heard as the door swings open. And in pops Sandor, out of breath and rushing towards you,
" I'm getting you the fuck out of here"
He lifts you up over his shoulder, leaving no room for discussion, and heads out to his horse.
After weeks of travel, you find yourself hundreds of miles away from Kings Landing, your home, and your Lady. You thought you'd never see the day you miss Kings Landing but here you are, miles away from home with a man that makes your heart flutter. And yet, you're not sure he even feels the same.
Through the breaking daylight you see you're standing on the outskirts of a small village.
You say," You must've been frightened that night...the night the water was on fire, but what would make you think to take me with you. I'm nobody. "
He looks at you as if you've offended him and wordlessly reaches into his pocket to grab the book smashed daisy and hands it to you.
" Now, that house over there looks abandoned. We could set up- "
With all the bravery you can muster you place a hand on the side of his face and reach up to gently kiss him.
He softly places his hand over yours as he leans down for you.
After a few moments you pull away, " We might be seeing a falling star tonight."
He looks at you puzzled
You laugh lightly, " Seems a dream of mine finally came true"
Tumblr media
Pt 2 with the actual headcanons of being with him and living in the country side should be out in the next week or so. Hope you enjoyed!!
