Disliking it for something like misogyny when it was the 1940's and Japan is just. Let's remember the time it was written though. His views reflect the time.

I mean, Shakespeare was misogynistic at times. This was because of the times. Edgar Allan Poe has had his moments too. Both of these authors had more misogyny and sexism in it.

Just because it's the 1940's doesn't mean that it wasn't sexist or misogynistic. Just like how sexism and misogyny exists now, but it's a lot better. Society is improving, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a thing in the 1940's.

Yeah misogyny and sexism sucks. I hate it. I've faced it. In conclusion, hate books you hate. You've got opinions, use them. But yeah. This is just an issue I have imo.

Blog Update (Nov. 11, 2024)

I'm back with the milk!

Although my interest in the series has waned and life has gotten in the way, I have not forgotten this place! While it may be inactive, it does have some space in my brain. I really appreciate the community built by you wonderful people. Heck, we hit 13k followers?! I am in disbelief about that.

I've changed so much since I initially watched the series (seriously, my takes on the series have vastly changed since I was like... 15?). I've changed so much since I decided to make this blog on a whim. I've changed so much since my last blog update which was over a year ago. As much as time passes and people change, I know that this blog and this series will always have a place in my heart and memories thanks to the people I've met along the way, some of which I still keep in contact with!

While I may be out to buy chocolate milk (forgot that on the list), I will make sure to queue things occasionally. Just wait until I actually catch up with this series, you'll see more awk pics then!

You know feeling when you're finally writing the scene you've been wanting to write for ages, the one you have all planned out and visualized in your head, the one where you know exactly how it's going to go, so it will be fun! and easy! to get through

and then as you're writing it, the scene takes a hard turn in a direction you hadn't planned for. And you can't stop it, the scene is changing, and your fingers keep typing, and you have no idea whats going on anymore.

You know, that feeling, right?
