i've been looking back at my to do list (which i promptly forgot about) and realised i had achieved everything i wanted to o so far for january (which shocked me because i never actually finish my lists... like ever).
not only have i done the basics but have continued (going to therapy and the gym) and i would daresay i even grew my small business (a teeny tiny amount).
i can't wait to open my small shop online (march!!) and have yet to decide the date. i was thinking about opening on the equinox, but i'm worried that it's too far off.
i hope you like my work (the second picture features 2 of my tufted rugs) and i'll be sharing more of my art in future posts!

Trying the "Notion" app
Since I had to clean up the huge amount of paper that I used during my graduation, I'm willing to take my notes on digital ressources. Such as NOTION app.

This app has desktop version that syncs with notes that can be taken on tablet or web brownser.

This app runned on this 12 Y.O. samsung tablet! Can you believe it?! Even Adobe PDF reader doesn't run there. Shame on you Adobe PDF! However, I miss drawing. My paper notes has a lot of drawings and this is something that fixes knowledge for me. Also is the main reason I'm stealing this tablet from my bf. again.

So I would stick to "Notion" only if I can't find an app that allows me to draw on my notes.
Do you know any app that allows drawings, is compatible with old tablets and syncs automatically with desktop?

journal entry #002 - 31st of may, 2025
front: tangent, tommy
it is currently 3:13 pm, um. been doing basically the same thing all morning, which is- adding fanfics to our fanfic tbr list. tangent found a new youtuber that she likes, i'll link his channel here (link).
otherwise, um- we just did a real short 5 min core work out, for the sake of like- cause we have spine health issues? and core strength helps with that, so. gonna try and make that a habit now. this (link) is the tutorial i followed; i only did 5 mins cause my lower back started hurting, but looking back i think it was exercise pain, not injury pain, so i'm gonna try and hold out for the full 10 mins tomorrow :-) (smiley face with nose)
2 monsters since the last entry, which- yikes. brushed my teeth, at least, that's not always very easy, so- go us!!
not much else to say; gonna take a long break from work and then get back to it ig!! will try to remember to check in in the evening too :-) (smiley face with nose)

WEEKLY RESET ROUTINE
I just discovered my new favorite day of the week. The 'reset day'. It's a day where you spend your time productive, recharge & reset yourself for the new week. It doesn't have to be the only focus of the day, it can also just be a few hours or minutes of your day.

This routine will help you start a new week on the right foot, feeling organized and ready for a new week. Apparently, it should also help you to stop feeling like your life is all over the place. And that's something I can use right now so that I feel less overwhelmed with life. I will share with you how I do it, but you should definitely change it to fit it in with your routine. The important part is that you choose the elements that work for you.
Schedule a day (or a part of a specific day)
Okay, so here's the deal. Look at your weekly schedule and choose a day you can implement this in your life. It does not have to be a Sunday. I choose to do this on Monday because Sundays are always so hectic in my house.
2. Write down your goals
When you've figured out a day, start by thinking about the goal. Why are you doing this? What are your reasons for doing it? To relax? To care for your health? To get organized? To connect with your loved ones? Setting your intentions will make you more likely to stick with the routine.
3. What to do
I divide the process into 5 categories:
mental health
Do something for yourself, for your mental well-being. Do things that you enjoy doing, or that make you feel relaxed, and energized, or things that help you clear your mind like talking to friends or writing in your journal.
physical health
Get moving. Studies show that walking actually helps you to feel more energized & it helps you to clear your head.
environment/space
Organize, clean, tidy, and declutter your space. A clean space = a clear mind. It helps you to feel less overwhelmed with where your life overall.
work/school
This category is all about catching up on work or school-related things. Review how your previous week went & plan your new week. Make a new brain dump to-do list. Update your calendar, plan your study schedule, and more.
motivation
A new week means new weekly goals. So think about your goals, and write them down. Plan your week. But, more importantly, plan something to look forward to. Something that will get you through the week.

once upon a time i'd feel self-conscious for showing my plans and goals online. this year is starting out on an insane note and it's been 2 weeks.
i've applied for an art market and am waiting for the results (which should be somewhere in 10 days) and i am freaking out. in the meantime, i'm wrapping up my thesis and trying to push through unemployment (again). but some things just need to be done one at a time and i am the worst multitasker in the world (or so i think).

The best and final version of my Hobby Tracker is here! And honestly you can use it to track pretty much any kind of activity, so Activity Tracker is more acurate. I've made my own variations with very small and simple tweaks to track my cleaning schedule, my adulting tasks like paying rent and whatnot, as well as my hobbies, of course.
