we sell dog cookies at work and while the cookies themselves are lowkey mid, the frosting is soooo yummy and yes i do scrape a little off just for me sometimes
im always so tempted by the dog cookies bc they’re always so fancy looking and the only thing holding me back is that so many of them are peanut butter flavored so then it be weeeeooooo weeeeooo for me 🚑🚑🚑🚑🚑

How did you first find out that you have food allergies? I've seen you post about it on here a little bit and I'm concerned I might have one but don't know what I'm eating that could be causing it. Did you get tests done at the doctors?
So I definitely feel like I should start off with a phone that I've always had a dairy allergy. Since I was a baby and my mom first tried to bottle feed me formula I would throw up half or more of the bottle every time I ate. Apparently doctors in the early '90s just didn't know or didn't care that these milk allergies were there. My mom never produced breast milk so I only had the option of being bottle fed. Fast forward to middle school when my stomach pain was so intense that I could not ignore it, I had daily issues that made an impossible for me to sit through classes at school. Basically since it ran in my family, when I saw the doctor she just said that's what it was and told me to stop eating dairy. I never actually received any type of testing for that. When I was about 19 or 20 I started having issues with gluten sensitivity a lot more and since it runs in my family again, I decided to cut it out of my diet. I felt better within like a week, but I did still do testing when I went to the doctor. I had some type of blood work done and they basically told me nothing.
They told me that I didn't test positive for Celiac disease but it's possible I could still have a sensitivity to gluten. Well thanks for nothing I pretty much had already figured that out by the time I actually got into the doctor 😂 and I noticed these things happening right away after I had cut the food out of my diet.
However I was still having a lot of stomach issues with certain things I was eating but couldn't really pinpoint what. I did an at-home test since the doctor had not been helpful with me at all, basically she just told me I should see a specialist. Anyway rather than going to an expensive specialist I ordered this at home test from everly well that has to do with food sensitivities & It was a finger prick test that tested for something like 200 different types of food or food categories. So after I got the results back on that test I found out I was allergic to something like 22 additional foods that I was eating everyday or every week. Vanilla, egg whites, cashews (Which is a substitute for a lot of dairy-free products), pineapple, bananas, macadamia nuts, pistachios, and a few other things. Basically I didn't even realize that you could have a nut allergy that wasn't super severe. I have a moderate nut allergy for soft nuts and tree nuts, I have a moderate allergy for certain types of fruit. I honestly probably never would have suspected that bananas was one of the things that I was eating that was making me sick but I was eating bananas almost everyday, and actually was eating them a lot when I felt sick because it was something I could easily choke down & part of the BRAT sick diet.
So I only have been about 2 months free from a lot of my new allergens but honestly I felt so much better. And I definitely have talked with @gabbigabriella since she was at my house, we've both worked on changing our diets to feel better together 💪 it's nice to have somebody who you can really talk to and trust when it comes to these things because what we put in our body is important. I had no idea that I was poisoning myself everyday! I had no idea that I was causing what the doctor said was just IBS. The doctor didn't do any tests and didn't really offer anything other than seeing an expensive specialist who probably would not have suggested the same type of test that I got, since it's done at home. If you're genuinely concerned about something that you might be eating or our interested and trying something like this I can send you the link! Or if you feel more comfortable not coming off anonymous because I know it can be embarrassing to talk about the symptoms of food allergies, I can just find link and post it for you public. But you can just find the company by googling everlywell - That's the one that I used and I had my results within 2 weeks of mailing it out. To feel like I've waited so long for some type of solution and then for it to actually come so quickly was amazing. If you're looking for someone to talk to about the struggle I'm definitely always here! It is really stressful to have your body attack you from foods that you put in it especially when you don't know what foods are making your body hurt that way. But there are definitely answers out there.
