I will explain

First, I want to clarify something: I see Castiel as Moon coded, and Dean Sun coded.

But-

There's a VERY famous and VERY GOOD song in my country, one that I think everyone with 12+ years aldery heard, that give me kinda destiel vibes. It just hits it.

Sun and Moon have several sad or melancholic stories, right?

So, it's a specific part from the refrain, and I'll translate it (poorly) from Portuguese-Brazil to English

Here's my version for the two, the song and the translation:

The first refrain begins at 0:46:

Well, in school these weeks ago, while doing the book activities of Portuguese Language (like the English discipline), I faced an indigenous legend from here

My first thought at reading it?

Destiel

So, that's my version of them, and I'll (try to) translate the text for you:

"Many years ago, the Moon was the Sun's bride, who wanted to marry her, but if that happened, if they ever got to get married, the world would be destroyed. The Sun's burning love would get the world on fire, and the Moon with her tears would flood all the Earth. Because of that, they didn't get married. The moon would put out the fire; the Sun would boil away the water.

Then they fell apart, the Moon to a side and the Sun to the other. They fell apart. The Moon cried the whole day, and the whole night; and it was then that the tears ran over the Earth to the sea. The sea raged, and because of that, the Moon couldn't mix the tears with the water of the sea, that half-year runs upward, half-year runs downward.

Were the tears of the Moon that gave origin to our Amazon River."

Okay it's been a few days since these two little gay bastards have been my new obsession and of course I couldn't help but associate this song with them because Sock is OBVIOUSLY the Sun and Jonathan is the Moon (any Brazilian fan out there?).

In case you don't know, nouns in Portuguese have gender (masculine nouns are preceded by the article "o" and feminine nouns by the article "a"), and Sun (Sol) is masculine and Moon (Lua) is feminine, so that's why in the song the Sun is a boy and the Moon is a girl, and therefore referred to as "he" and "she".

I think I made it clear in the edit, but my headcanons about their sexual / romantic orientation are that Sock is pan and Jonathan is bi and on the aromantic and asexual spectrum.

I also consider Sock as non-binary, and Jonathan as having a preference for women, although he usually just doesn't care about romance or sex. Basically I see Jonathan as "I prefer not to date or have sex / I'm indifferent to it, but if it has to be, I prefer to be with a woman than with a man", and I embrace Erica's headcanon (well, one of the headcanons) that Sock is the exception that makes Jonathan not straight xD

Here’s a little bit of lore about the O Sol AU me and @elitesheepi have cooking up: O Sol in its entirety is largely inspired by certain songs (if you couldn’t tell from the title)! And so, reliving my older fandom life, I ended up making a Spotify playlist for it, and I had to commit by making an album cover for it!

There’s more stuff about the AU that I haven’t shared on my pages, and I really have to get to that at some point!!
