1. What's an unsavory detail about your OC or opinion they have (to their peer group)?

Wen: What isn't an unsavory detail about Wen? lol. I think the one that stands out is that she will not stop laughing in combat no matter who asks her to stop. She just enjoys fighting too much. Others find this a bit unsettling.

Lenore: Answered here and here, but I will add that she sometimes sleeps with her eyes open (keeps mischief spirits from messing up your stuff while you sleep) and more than one of her friends has had a full conversation with her while she is asleep before they realized she wasn't just being uncharacteristically quiet.

2. What's a moment your OC is ashamed to remember?

Wen: Tougher because Wen doesn't feel a lot of shame, but I think she feels ashamed of hanging out in her hideout the night her mother died (instead of somehow being with her mom? it isn't logical, but she went back and destroyed all the drawings she put on the walls and the book she was reading that night, as if it might erase the memories).

Lenore: The first argument with the First Warden. She spends weeks going over it again and again in her mind, trying to find the words that might have convinced him to believe her. She knows she went in too hot, that her deep-seated distrust of authority meant she aggravated him needlessly and that lives were lost as a result. I think she doesn't come to terms with this until after the fall of Weisshaupt, at which point it became clear that this was also a fault of his leadership style.

3. What does your OC's love interest dislike about them?

Wen: She is very cavalier about taking physical harm and often so resistant to accepting help that she puts herself in unnecessary danger because of it. Zevran knows she will leave him behind if she believes he will put himself in danger helping her (as she tried to do at Denerim) and he really hates that.

Lenore: Hmmm I think he sometimes sees her as too trusting of people who offer help. She is also very, very cavalier about the idea of dying in a way that makes him uncomfortable (he eventually comes to realize that he dislikes this not just because he dislikes the idea of her empty husk of a body wandering around the Necropolis possessed, but because he cares about her too much to lose her as he's lost most of his family. but opening most combat with a cheerful "get my bones home, please!" is not the most fun thing to hear from your girlfriend).

When Sentry was with his original Bhaalist family and locked in his breeding cage, Sarevok was the mate his 'mother' wanted the breed with him the most, considering it a union likely to produce the most pure possible Bhaalspawn. When Sarevok came, she would force Sentry into clothes he didn't feel comfortable in, and would double down on calling him that name he hated and referring to him as a girl. He hated Sarevok then and even more when he became a young man and Sarevok convinced Orin that Sentry was her competition to be chosen and was defying father Bhaal by prancing about 'dressed as a man' and neglecting the duties he was 'made for'. His poison words drove the two of them apart and in Sentry's mind, if Sarevok hadn't turned Orin against him, he might have been able to save her and free her from the cult when he, himself escaped. If he could destroy Sarevok again, he would. If he could cast away the Iron Throne and gift it to Gortash again despite Sarevok's protests, he would. I don't know that there's a single person in Faerun he's ever hated more.

hey!! this is chance and here’s week 5’s prompt. your oc suddenly gets transported to a mall. what store(s) would they go in? would they buy anything? what would they think? tell me about the experience.

Hey Chance! Took my sweet time on answering this one, but OH WELL.

Decided to use the power trio from my sorta-cyberpunk dystopia for this, so we've got Glenn, Evadne, and Cal on this trip. Also, malls are a thing in their setting, so I'll ignore the 'suddenly transported' bit of this prompt.

The boys (moreso Cal than Glenn) have dragged Evadne to the mall against her will. Shopping? Boring! She can order everything she needs online and get it cheaper there too. The only thing that she wants to do is hit up the coffee shop for an overly sweet, excessively caffeinated drink - Cal's treat, of course. Her tolerance for this pointless excursion to the outdated pantheon of consumerism will last only about half an hour longer than that drink will.

Glenn is much more inclined to split off from Cal and Evadne so he can meet back up with them at the food court at a designated time. He's got errands to run and isn't entirely sure that he wants to have his friends watching him scouring the discount/bargain store for the cheapest, but least crappy, pair of new work boots he can find. He will spend twenty minutes debating with himself whether he should get the higher-quality, half-size too small pair that he can "probably stretch out with wear", or whether he should go for the slightly less robust, but in his actual size, pair that is the same price and won't leave him hobbling while he tries to break them in. He will pay for his boots in cash, holding up the line, and confusing the cashier who will require their floor supervisor to come verify that the bills and coins that Glenn has handed over are, in fact, legal tender.

Cal is at the mall for fun. He likes to browse. And looking at the clothing displays reminds him that he's got a family function coming up and sure, he doesn't need a new suit jacket, but his current one is from last year and certainly needs to be updated. He'll bring Evadne with him to help him pick out a new jacket from the high end shop - where he will also pay for custom tailoring of the new jacket without giving it a second thought. He will not notice the salesman giving Evadne the stink-eye for bringing her drink into the store. Once he and Evadne have met back up with Glenn, Cal will insist that they get lunch, and then stop by the kiosk that sells cinnamon rolls, before he will even entertain the possibility of leaving.

Canvas:

Rylan has plenty of scars. He has the three on his face, two of which are regular scars on his face, one over his eye and the other on his neck (he doesn’t remember how he got them, he was young). The other is a dimension scar, hence its blue color. Due to his powers his hands are also very scarred and feel rather rough.

Roots:

Honestly I don’t think his fashion is really inspired by anything other than just modern guys clothing. 😂 The most similar sense of style he has is like mine, sweatshirts, hoodies, tennis shoes, whatever he finds comfortable.

Favorite:

Yes! Rylan has a green hoodie that is his staple item. He got it in junior high, and whenever he grew out of it, he’d just get another green hoodie in a bigger size. It’s become a comfort item for him and he wears it very often.

18: What embarrasses them?

Someone understanding her, anticipating how she will feel about something, or making her feel in any way Perceived.

25: What are their thoughts on marriage? 

Before the events of Inquisition, I don't think she sees the point. Her life is full of people who left or people who disappointed her (or were disappointed in her, which hurt more). If the former, why go to the effort of a wedding first? If the latter, why keep someone around if you're only going to let each other down?

The reason she finally decides it's something she wants is that the world around her is so unstable that she wants someone she can hold onto, something she can count on. Explaining how she actually feels is incredibly difficult for her, but she can make the gesture of proposing to show how strongly she feels. It isn't words, but it still says "I won't run this time," and meaning it is as important as knowing her meaning is understood.

23: How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

Ooooh this is a good question! Salshira is not a very jealous person in general, but I do think she has a tendency to take off or substitute one feeling for another when feeling strong emotions, so she would probably leave and convince herself she never wanted it in the first place (haha why would she do something like that?? weird you would even suggest it).

For Emma:

5: How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

Not exceptionally easy. Emma is not especially trusting, but she tends to feel like people who have acted in a way she understands deserve at least a minimal amount of trust. She has a very, very hard time forgiving people who've hurt her, though.

17: Are they easily embarrassed?

Not really, but more so than Salshira. Being incorrect about something she should know embarrasses her the most frequently, but she isn't necessarily easily embarrassed by most standards.

24: Is sex something that they’re comfortable speaking about? To whom?

Yes, but only to close friends. She is very pragmatic about it with partners and sex isn't necessarily something she finds interesting to talk about, but it isn't taboo.

When Octavia was little, before her magic fully manifested, she was bullied very badly. The other children would often play the game with her they did with the Gremishka in Creche Y'llek, stuffing her in a crate and throwing her around. She still is traumatized by that and doesn't do well in cramped spaces.

When he was still a young teen, when Kroger was studying to be a Ghustil, his teacher took a deep interest in him and would insist on very private, isolated lessons where she would touch him in ways he didn't like or use him in ways that made him uncomfortable, preying on how young and naive he was and that he didn't know what was and wasn't training. At first he didn't realize what happened to him or how bad and traumatic it was until Octavia and Lae'zel found out.
