Last Blast of Summer!

Seabreeze, Luau and Soda have one last beach day in before the summer comes to a close!

I'd mentioned that Luau and Seabreeze would be friends with Soda before I think, given how they all share a love for water/the beach, so I wanted to finally make something with that idea! I thought of that thing you sometimes see surfers do where they run towards the water with their surfboard held above their head like this. Of course, it started off as just a Seabreeze idea but then it evolved to include Luau and I swapped out the surfboard for Soda :3

It was great to draw Soda again! I hadn't drawn him since before Art Fight and he's been in my brain a lot again lately bc I love him so much <33 This also helped me to flesh out sort of, how big I want him to be I guess lmao. I've drawn him smaller than both Luau and Seabreeze in my Seafoam vs Stardust pre-Art Fight piece, but I'll probably just make it official that he can like, scale up and down in terms of size depending on what he wants to do and who wants to float on/with him hehe. Which to be fair is an idea I've been toying with (aheehee) for awhile now, so maybe this is just the first depiction of that :3

I haven't drawn in a few weeks so these are old and were supposed to have more art to accompany them but I'm so tired LOL 😭 Anyhow I thought it was time I finally made a Strawberry Shortcake oc, his name is King Cake (Jr.) based on the version of the cake of the same name also sometimes referred to as a the Three Kings Cake typically made and eaten during Mardi Gras. (Though it's also eaten during other celebrations throughout the world as well.) This definitely isn't his final design but I just wanted something down on paper to go forward from. The first art is based more on the 2003 style of SS while the second is based on Berry In The Big City. He's actually part of Angel Cake's family, in the 2003 continuity they would be cousins. While in bitbc I think they'd be siblings... I have a bitbc design for Angel sketched out I just haven't revisited it yet, I hope to soon ^_^ I really hope to make some more characters as well, probably based on some desserts I grew up eating like jello salad, pound cake, luau salad ect ect

My Stardew Valley Farmer (OC) Haneul

Haneul Fun Facts

1. Her name, "Haneul" (하늘), means sky. Many villagers struggle to pronounce it at first, until Jas says it correctly and everyone starts imitating her.

2. She's an excellent drawer. She has notebooks full of sketches of the villagers, the town, and even strange dreams she's had.

3. She's Demisexual and Demiromantic

4. She sometimes mumbles in Korean when she's nervous or excited. Jas and Penny try to learn words with her. Shane secretly writes down how to pronounce them in a notebook.

5. Her house has a mix of rustic and traditional Korean styles. It has a soban (low table), decorative hanji paper on the wall, and a vase of spring flowers that changes every season.

6. She always wakes up early to water the plants and practice a short meditation routine she learned as a child.

I'm not really a big game connoisseur, I only play with stardew valley and have played animal crossing in the past, my knowledge of gaming is very limit. 😌 But I feel like Copia is one of those gamers who like to stick to the old classics you know? Because no matter how good a new game can be, our nostalgic hearts are always gonna go back to our favorites eventually. 🫶🏻 Especially if it's a game he used to play when younger. I speak from personal experience when I say that there's no game that could beat a childhood one 🥹 So I think no matter how many different games he may collects and enjoy a lot, at the end of the day he's always re-playing with his favorite classics. Like Mario Kart, for example. 🥹 I think he might enjoy those games where you go on an adventure and ahead of your path there are crazy mysterious quests to do. 🥰 The game he plays in chapter 16 is about cars, yes, but seems to have also an interesting plot with different routes and outcomes depending on which option you pick, you get what I mean?

But also. Listen to me girl. Bear with me. I have a vision.

Copia and stardew valley. Copia playing stardew valley. Girl I know it's silly and definitely self indulgent because this is my favorite game. And I love more to think that Copia is more a console gamer rather than a laptop one, he loves to do it the old fashioned way you know? But bear with me let me explain. Stardew valley has no age. 😔

So, there's no doubt that Copia would love to play games with you and share this hobby of his together on a chill afternoon.

Let's say you're a nerdy gamer as he is. And let's say one day he catches you play with stardew valley on your own. He doesn't know this game. He sees how invested you are in the game as he follows your stardew OC walking around Pelican Town, pays attention to the little tunes, how colored and beautifully looking the different places are... eventually he gets so curious that he wants to try it out to know what this is about, even though he himself rarely plays on laptop. If his lover is so invested in this game it must be a good one, after all.

Girl that man would have a blast the second he makes his own farm. I can see him so clearly. He would love to romance Emily and make pretty clothes with the sewing machine. Hell, he probably would spend several days just making clothes of all kinds to test every option he can get. He would have so much fun with the many festivals, and appreciate how different and vaste the music is. I think he'd love to do silly things just because he can: not giving Lewis his pants back to put them in the soup at the Luau festival or make his own pair to wear in front of Marnie, turning his kids into doves, naming a chicken [74]. The options are endless. 👀 He's the kind of person who would finish an entire season in just one day if his schedule allows it. I think part of his love for gaming is about appreciating the creativity and aesthetic of it, and stardew is so full of creativity! 🫶🏻 He'd adore it. And finally, he'd understand why you like this game so much. The lore of the game is beautiful and so fun. There's nothing quite like the first farm, when everything in the game is new and a surprise, you don't know what comes next and have to figure out every little thing.

Next thing you'll hear from him is asking you to make a co-op farm together so you can take care of your own shared farm and get married with each other. How cute would be? Can you see my vision the way I do? 🥹 It makes me so soft to think about this tbh 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 I'm gonna waste my day smooching him thousands times in a row until it's 2 am and we pass out. It'd be so sweet. Decorating your house together and use his co-op smaller house as a extra room or storage, watering the crops together (which means that you would water the crops while he just walks around to dig the worms and feed the animals because watering crops is boring), vibing in the secret woods doing nothing special just because it's a beautiful place, giving each other gifts, or helping each other in the mines even if it means that you'll pass out. There's so much to say. He'd enjoy Abigail aesthetic and the wizard, love Krobus, have fun going to ginger island and try to complete the community center as quick as possible, cooking all recipes. Just wait until he finds out that there's a huge universe of mods to try out.... What do you mean he can change the look of his house into a hobbit house!? Star wars mod?? WHAT!?!? You'd lose him forever at that point. 😂 The possibilities are endless 😌 god. Terzo would never get over it if he knew his brother plays stardew. 😂 Poor Copia. 😌 I just think it's a neat, cute image to think about despite it be a little silly don't you think? 🥹

He'd get time off any chance he get, frankly. 😌 He works hard! Let him get the rest and chill time he deserves whenever he can! And once he's done with rituals and the tour has ended he better get a long week (or two) all to himself, to rest and do what he likes until he recharges the batteries, or else-☝🏻

🇦🇸 Kanoa is the only funny kind of siblings in his family. Always make a good joke to keep them laughing and make them forget all of the bad things that happened. 🇦🇸 He’s the 2nd brother that Tiala is really close to after his older brother, Hōne, had passed away 🇦🇸 Kanoa will give you dad jokes 24/7 and even gives you the most embarrassing story about his brothers and his sister. But NEVER about himself. 🇦🇸 He’s always the first one to ask his comrades of who wanted to arm wrestle with him. If they win, he’ll get them ice cream. 🇦🇸 Give good love relationship advice but never get one for himself. (He’s single as heck man and he’s in his 30s!)

Background Story:

Kanoa was proudly born and raised on the island. The funniest man you will ever meet. He joined the Military at the age of 17. Which means he signed up right after High School. Just to keep the family lines going. He was really inspired by his dad, Nakoa, hearing his stories of joining the military.

He signed up with Rangi, his 3rd eldest brother, for the Marine Corps and they both started working hard on reaching to the top. He had also met his other older brother, named Hōne. Who was a Lieutenant at that time. Always make good fun with him during their military times. Until he heard the news of Hōne being KIA from one of the missions. It really took a toll on him.

But he kept going as he worked even harder to pass up the ranks. Until he reached up to the rank of being a Corporal. That’s when he met his sister, Tiala, who is a Private. He was happy and proud to see his little sister working hard to honor their older brother’s name. Until 4 years later, he found out about Tiala volunteering. To go on a solo mission to find out about the intel of the next location; by being the pretend victim for one of the human trafficking.

He’s not very sure about this mission until he gives in to Tiala reasoning with him. But how much he wishes he could take his words back. Finding out that his little sister has been taken away by the enemies. He was devastated and angry to hear this news. So he asks permission from the General to let him and the team he chooses to find her. FAST.

He didn’t give up on searching for Tiala until 2 months later. He finally found her. From the location where no one even KNEW it was there. He raided into the enemies hide out and unalive almost everyone without hesitating.

He took her back and stayed with her in the medical bay. Kanoa was heartbroken to see her in this state and that’s when he decided to make his own special team. He named it “Warriors Task Force”. And started working under one of the Generals of the Marine Corps, Alana Kalani.

He promised himself to bring protection and justice to the people who were victims from the trafficking and being hostages. And that’s when he became Captain of the Marine Corps.
