✨the moots✨ playing minecraft!
@asqadia-banthen: the only one actually playing the game like you’re supposed to. I just know this goober has an army of dogs, too. Minds their business in their castle on the hill, Definetly
@mxmorbidmidnight: CLINCAL griefer. If he catches even a WHIFF that you have anything remotely valuble, she’ll be at your base and it’s gone. (Also rocking the permanent dirt hut)
@capn-atlas: travelling merchant vibes!! Except you’re gonna get scammed if you buy anything-😭😭 Also, the first one to get fully kitted out with diamonds!
@thelab-experiment: redstone genius, also kind of a menace bc it keeps putting traps everywhere. Also the only one who can build worth a dime.
@fluffywolfboyy: REFUSES to build a house. Constantly dying to mobs and getting sent back to spawn bc he WON’T SET HIS DAMN RESPAWN POINT-
@bees-not-wasps: yearns for the mines. I just KNOW this man is rocking the coal miner fit constantly. probably has all the music discs too, just by the sheer NUMBER of mobs he’s killed.
@whyshouldilistentoyou: CAPITALISM. the SECOND the server starts, they are taking over a village and exploiting resources. Definitely has a morally questionable villager farm.
@feral-ass-raccoon: professionally unemployed. Just here for the sillies and nothing else. Probably spends most of their time wandering around and doing insane shit like burning down an entire forest
@crowthekiller: VILLANNNNN. Does some actually metal shit like taking over a nether fortress or smth megamind coded. Aura for days.
#i also collect things in modded minecraft. like the neat plants nd shit#first smp i was on i had a collection of cool mushrooms in my basement#friend was making a whole ass fortress and dragon army and i'm over there with my silly kitty cat origin picking flowers#vanilla minecraft is a different story. i speedrun tgat shit#like by the time everyone else has houses i have a fully furnished base and a secret bunker#i am fully prepared to disappear off the face of the earth at the slightest provocation amd i WILL cause problems on purpose#i'm so normal abt minecraft i totally don't spend every waking moment on it /hj

recently, while my wife and I were playing minecraft together, she made an offhand comment wishing that cats could have more than two modes of existing, a somewhere in the middle where they're tamed and friendly, but don't constantly follow you around if you haven't commanded them to sit
so I decided I would make her a mod
it is nearly done now. Once a cat is tamed, you can have it sit and stand on command as before, but when it stands, the cat makes a 50/50 decision whether it will follow you (vanilla tamed cat behavior), or wander around the village (untamed cat behavior + not shy anymore).
Or if you want to get a for sure switch, you can give the cat a piece of string to play with, and it will wander, or a chicken treat and it will follow you. I also added chicken as a temptation item, and you can tame with it.
speaking of temptation, tempting a wild cat with fish so you can tame it has the cat moving at 0.5 speed, which makes sense as it is skittish and you are trying to befriend it. But tempting a tamed cat had the same speed, and I thought that was just silly. In my experience, if a cat likes you and you offer food, the cat will approach you quickly. So now a tamed cat's tempting speed is 1.5 instead. May fiddle with that number a bit later
oh, also I decided that since creepers are wary of cats already... Why not let the cats hunt them? So now cats, both tame and wild, will attack creepers. (Careful, though, sometimes the cat will end up chasing a creeper towards you, lol!)
What I'm working on now is a visual distinction between the modes. The idea is that when the cat is working (follow mode), it can wear a harness the same color as its collar, which can be done by messing with the texture files.
this... has probably taken me longer than the rest of the mod, and I still haven't fully figured it out. It seemed so simple, but it turns out to be more complicated than I had thought.
I've put it down for now.

hi! yr probably not lookin for asks anymore, but. what's your lifesteal elevator pitch? i know absolutely nothing abt it or any of the folks on the server except the vague things i've absorbed frm reading yr analysis as it crosses my dash, but it compels me, etc.+ also merry christmas! <33 🎄🌟
good news: i am always looking for asks
bad news: my parents DID go to sleep and i was able to wrap presents and put them beneath the tree and so on, so i wasn't going to do more asks tonight
good news again: i actually already have a lifesteal pitch. in a google doc. bc i'm normal
the pitch does assume you're basically already into mcrp and just curious about lifesteal in specific BUT we went to dsmp together so this works out
I really love shitty little tryhards causing problems via impressive feats of minecraft, and lifesteal is full of those. if you like people being good at minecraft, I really recommend lifesteal--in s2, clownpierce was top 50 worldwide at crystal pvp, and now he's washed and in s6 there are 2-3 (depending on who you ask) lifestealers who are better than him at pvp (admittedly maybe not at crystal); in s4, there's some stuff that's impressive in ~vanilla (eg parrot wins a 1v1 while on one heart) and some stuff that's impressive through exploits/social stuff (eg a group of people use a glitch + social engineering to get /op and prove to mojang that the glitch is a security issue that needs patched). every season is like this! lifestealers have backdoored the server 3 seasons in a row (s3-5). for a more recent weird Lifestealer Behavior, rekrap and jumper filled in every end portal room and built new fake ones to make it look like the world glitched and generated without them. lifesteal is weird and constantly coming up with new weird yet impressive things to do. a lot of stuff that's currently banned on lifesteal (F3+A, pie ray) are things i only learned were possible from lifesteal. (on the flip side i'd say: if you are not into shitty little tryhards making weird impressive clickbait, you probably won't like lifesteal, although you may still like hearing about it from time to time.)
related to them being shitty little tryhards causing problems: the rules are...more of a suggestion. getting around the rules, and hiding from the server owner and/or other players that you're doing so, is often part of the fun of lifesteal! (see also the thing where i mentioned that it's been backdoored three seasons in a row.) if that's intriguing: check it out. if not: once again, you have been warned.
lifesteal absolutely has lore and some people roleplay on it, there is nonzero c/cc divide, but it's more like traffic life than, say, late dsmp--it's fully improv, not scripted, and even more than traffic life it is genuinely adversarial. you can sometimes be confident that someone is in character but you can never be sure if someone is out of character, on lifesteal-- things like "going to someone's house irl to turn off their computer" or "lying about your homework/school/sleep schedule" or "changing your entire discord layout so that when you DM someone they think you're someone else" or "claiming you need their footage of an event for your video when actually you just want to see where their spawn point is" are all things that have been done on lifesteal that are considered fair game! everything on lifesteal is real; sometimes this goes well, sometimes it doesn't, but both are interesting to see imo because they are real
partially for this reason and partially for other reasons, lifesteal is fascinating to me as a piece of unique storytelling? a lot of mcyt is doing interesting things with its medium and being improv, lifesteal's not fully unique in that, but definitely if you like that you might like lifesteal. along with the improv, there's the fact that many lifestealers lie about what actually happened in their videos (comparing different videos with the vods, or in some cases with "what people say in various vods" when events weren't streamed, gives some fascinating insights imo--how do people frame their stories? how honest are they? what do they blatantly lie about, what do they gloss over or omit, what do they include in full? who, if anyone, do they see as the heroes or villains? whose videos agree with each other, and whose present a totally different story?), and the fact that conflict about "where do we want the story to go next, what do we think would be an interesting video/the best ending" is often the driving motive for in-character wars and conflicts! if you're interested at all in lifesteal and storytelling, check out barrier blocks part 2 by @mering/@myrmica, which is a deep dive on eclipse federation and the end of lifesteal s4 (those are my special guys); it dips into some academic game studies and it's really, really good. i genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough. (part one is also real good for non-lifesteal-specific discussion of mcrp!)
if you want a more specific plot summary (esp of s4) and/or "how do i actually, like, watch this" (of any seasons): hmu! but that's my pitch. also, read barrier blocks
#therapists dni#any british ants in the chat?#lifesteal#this might be too long to qualify as an elevator pitch. sorry. had a lot to say#EDIT: ty also!!! merry Christmas to you as well if applicable & if not then i hope you have a nice day <3

Hagglefish Market
(Main Map)

After like a week I ended my first big mc project, Hagglefish Market in Minecraft at player scale. It's also lighted, fully detailed and using Vanilla coding and WorldEdit. I could take it to next level and add the background but ive been thinking if it's a good idea considering my skills. But what do you think? Here's the model of the map in blender for comparison

That's all for now! I know it's not splatband stuff but maybe I could do something about them in Minecraft....

God the ultimate merch and gift to all Minecraft diaries fan at this point would be the fucking map of whatever the world is called in Minecraft diaries. Earth ig. Like. Tu'la, Ru'aun, the other places I forget the names of.
The old towns and villages that used to exist in s1 but likely don't by S2 or 3 i.e chocolate, strawberry and vanilla villages and shit like that.
Like I just need to see a proper huge map of that place like a map of earth and individual maps. I need it to feel like I'm looking through a geography book idk man. BC we know Ru'aun is huge and technically takes a LONG time to cross (albeit the time is misunderstood due to Aph just easily wlakinf places when she wasn't fully like. Part of the world yet and it was still JUST Minecraft. But in S2 new meteli is a days walk away! That's a LONG distance, at least 100km!!
Imagine just HOW FAR AWAY O'Khasis and Scaleswind are, especially when they have to go the long way around due to the forest. Like !!! AND the Yggdrasil forest, a massive forest that is extremely impossible to locate if you're not from there, is also within Ru'aun.
Like, I'm just saying!!! In my mind, maybe biased, Ru'aun is maybe half the size or so of Australia? Idk give or take. I am just REALLY interested in the FULLY CANON geography of this place. and also how it looks by the time Mystreet rolls around. In my mind Phoenix drop has likely become much more inland and is much less of a coastal city, maybe the cause of rising tides and what not or maybe just a general shift that slowly happens over the centuries, idk, BC like... The geography in Mystreet is confusing- it's implied O'Khasis and Phoenix drop are close to each other, considering O'Khasis prep is a school Zane wanted to go to and well- they'd likely be within the hour drive of eachother at least. But also! My understanding of that is very very very disjointed as I'm Australian, and I'm rural, and my town is mostly private hs's with only two public hs's and the main, non farmland, part of my town can be driven across in like 20-30 minutes so. I don't know if it's realistic to travel that far, but maybe it is if we're thinking maybe he would be boarding at o'khasis prep lol.
Anyways! Passing out now!!

Pkmn Champion Minecraft HC's (Part 1)
important notes: - this is going off of vanilla minecraft 1.21 (trial chamber update)! - minecraft mobs that are based on real animals in our world (pigs, sheep, chicken, cow, fish) are fictional creatures based on pokemon in the pkmn world! fantasy mobs (blaze, enderman, sniffer, drowned, guardian, creeper) are just more fictional creatures. - the champions have a private minecraft server together, though they are usually very busy and are almost never on at the same time. except for the off-season for each region's league or the annual in-person champion get-together they do. they reset the server every 2-ish years.
Lance || Awkward Builder * He never had a chance to play video games growing up, so was only recently introduced to the game by his fellow champions. has since grown to adore it! * Is very awkward about playing the game in his free time, doesn't want anyone to know that the Great Dragon Master is playing a silly block game. * Is one of the main builders on the server actually! he's never been an artsy person but found that he enjoys creating structures that breathe life into the server, filling otherwise empty spaces. * Lance doesn't do mega builds since he never would have time to finish them, but has done a few long-term projects over the course of the different seasons. one such project was when he built houses in the traditional style of each city in johto and later did the same for kanto. * Enjoys playing at a casual pace, not too fast but not too slow either. usually starts building before he's all geared up even. will sometimes go back to those early builds later on a spruce them up with fancier materials if he has time.
Steven || Redstone Guy * One might think Steven would be all about mining in the game titled minecraft... but he actually despises gathering resources! what makes going caving fun for him in the real world is the sense of discovery, of wonder, of working hard to carefully dislodge a rare stone he's been looking for. Caves in minecraft feel way too unrealistic for his tastes and he just can't find the same joy in partaking in his hobby in a video game compared to the joy of doing such in the real world. * also, he's terrified of creepers-- thinks they are the worst with their destructive abilities. he often finds himself wishing he could have his pokemon team in the game so they could deal with the hostile mobs for him. * Steven most often finds himself making creative redstone projects, games or challenges for his fellow champions to partake in whenever they have the time to log onto the server. * He's not an // expert // with redstone, but he understands comparators so he's doing better than most of the playerbase! enjoys improving his skills by making his own designs for farms, challenging himself to make it as efficient as possible. * plays at a pretty slow pace in the early game, taking the time to explore the world and stuff before picking a spot 14k blocks out to build his underground lair. the project he always does first thing once he's fully geared up is make a bunch of puzzles and clues to lead those who wish to find his base on a wild goose chase around the server. Cynthia was so good at this game, finding his base within a week of him opening the puzzle course that Steven banned her from the the challenge.
#pokemon headcanons#champion lance#lance pokemon#champion steven#steven stone#minecraft mention!#i have more minecraft hc's on the way#steven the type of guy to argue about minecraft cave generation#this man is NOT spending his days in the video game mines#he is spending his REAL time in the REAL mines#awkward lance agenda

Tinkerer's Quilt: add nothing* to Minecraft!
Tinkerer's Quilt celebrates Vanilla Minecraft (no, really!)
It includes a fully in-game vanilla minecraft tutorial comprised of over 150 quests covering everything from the basics to niche interactions.
TQuilt is easier than vanilla, and adds no blocks or items to the game - it's a great (re)introduction to minecraft for a friend (or yourself!)
We worked to try and cover all the main interest areas of minecraft with quests - kind of like a tiny wiki inside the game.
So besides quests with rewards, what's new? Minor rebalances, gameplay tweaks, QoL changes - all clearly signposted within the quest system so you know what's vanilla and what's not.
Have a specific part of the game you struggle with? Besides making combat opt-in (an option that works even per-player in multiplayer), you can swap any time to a non-default origin from Origins Minus, which are all designed to make one aspect of the game easier.
Tinkerer's Quilt is a culmination of most of our personal projects - Feel free to read up what's included and give it a try on modrinth!

Was tagged by @janora00 -- thank you for the tag my fellow crazy cat lady 💖😸
1) Are you named after someone?
Not that I know of.
2) When is the last time you cried?
About a week ago when I was stuck in onion-cutting purgatory.
3) Do you like your handwriting?

4) What is your favourite lunch meat?
Chicken, though I do enjoy the occasional beef :)
5) Do you have kids?
No. Probably never will.
6) If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
Not sure. How would I behave/react towards myself? I'm not able to predict. I can't even tell if people think I'm friendly or not. xD
7) Do you use sarcasm?
Not as much anymore.
8) Do you still have your tonsils?
Yep. Fully intact or whatever.
9) Would you bungee jump?
...Likely not.
10) What is your favourite kind of cereal?
Corn flakes 🌽
11) Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
Used to, when I regularly wore converse. 'Twas a bloody fuss. Still use converse regularly, but these days I just leave the laces ever so slightly looser so I could just slip my foot in.
12) Do you think you're a strong person?
There's a lot of ways to define strength.
13) What is your favourite ice cream flavour?
Vanilla. Basic bitch here.
14) What is the first thing you notice about people?
If not their hair, then their face. If not then the way they speak. If not that, then the way they hold themselves/their body language.
15) Red or pink?
Red ❤
16) What do you least like about yourself physically?
Easy. My chewed-off, crooked nails. I move my hands around a lot when I speak sometimes so it's very noticeable, too.
17) What colour pants and shoes are you wearing now?
No shoes, black trousers. I'm not telling you what colour pants I'm wearing.
18) What was the last thing you ate?
...Instant noodles, ha!
19) What are you listening to right now?
not a lot, just forever by Adrianne Lenker. Spotify sort of picked it out for me -- I don't really know this song but it sounds alright xD
20) If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
Asked my sister. I wanted to say black, but she thinks I'm either a dark brown or a midnight blue.
21) Favourite smell?
Can't choose. I love petrichor. I love the smell of my pillow, or morning coffee, or chamomile tea, or my cat after a bath. I love the smell of dark chocolate. There's also this smell that sticks on my hair after a day outside that isn't unpleasant.
22) Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
My sister.
23) Favourite sport to watch?
Not a sportsy person, unfortunately.
24) Hair colour?
Black.
25) Eye colour?
Dark brown, almost black.
26) Do you wear contacts?
Briefly considered it, but I can't be trusted with those haha xD
27) Favourite food to eat?
My sister's cooking.
28) Scary movies or comedy?
Err, comedy maybe?
29) Last movie you watched?
Gosh, I can't remember. I think me and my little nieces and nephew put on the minecraft movie but dropped it halfway through because it was shit.
30) What colour shirt are you wearing?
Black, with a white text over it.
31) Summer or winter?
Summer is too hot. High temperatures get me all grouchy. Winter is... winter, so. I dunno. Perhaps I lean more towards winter? It can be beautiful.
32) Hugs or kisses?
Hugs.
33) What book are you currently reading?
Does a translation of the illiad count?
34) Who do you miss right now?
Nobody important.
Oh! My blorbo Reigen, if that counts?
35) What is on your mouse pad?
My... mouse? XP
36) What is the last tv program you watched?
I don't put on cable tv.
37) What is the best sound?
Music, I guess? Some people have nice laughs, too.
38) Rolling Stones or The Beatles?
Oof. Toss up.
39) What is the farthest you have ever travelled?
Australia.
40) Do you have a special talent?
I can watch the entirety of lotr without going 'did you know...', if that counts?

hi starry!!! <3 i've been seeing so many stick men on my dash, and i've gotten super curious. the fandom wiki page answered none of my questions, so i thought i'll turn to the resident expert <3 <3 <3 whomst may be these characters and where do they come from?
RESIDENT EXPERT SJDLFJSKDJ THANK YOU I GUESS?? i'm just very autistic abt these silly sticks, i don't think i'm much of an expert
the stickfigures are from Alan Becker's Animation Vs series/franchise (calling it a franchise seems wrong but there's multiple series under the umbrella so idk how else to describe it) on youtube! i'm gonna go into more detail on that but i'm putting it under a cut because i don't know how long this'll get to be completely honest
also sorry if this takes a while to get answered i wanted to collect screenshots and visuals
So i'm not gonna get into a full play-by-play, mainly to avoid spoiling you, but the series can be kinda split up into a few different categories (the first two being the "primary" series of the overarching series)
ALSO the creator refers to all the sticks with he/him but a lot of people tend to headcanon differently (it's me i'm people) so i might use my own hc pronouns for characters. honestly part of the series' appeal is the fact that there's wiggle room for headcanons to emerge.
anyway! starting off with the og:
Animator vs Animation
animator vs animation starts off with the simple question of, "hey what if my drawings came to life and fought me", which is somewhat of the overarching question through the first 3 installments

the fourth one winds up turning that question on it's head by the end because of this silly li'l guy, The Second Coming (usually called second or orange by the fandom)
by the end of ava 4, second (and the friends they found on a website) have reached an understanding with the animator (who's also alan, it's a bit confusing but i try to think of it like mcyt rules where there's the creator and then the character), and are now friends with him. ava 1-4 were recently bundled into being animator vs animation season 1, i'd recommend you start with these four if you want to watch the other series.

ava seasons 2 and 3 (season 3 is currently ongoing) take a bit of a different turn, delving into the previously left up to question fates of the past three sticks that alan had made in ava 1-3, along with also dropping some bombshells of lore here and there. semi related side note i'm taking the chosen one and shaking them in a tupperware violently.
Animation vs Minecraft
this one is the longest of the different series, with 35 episodes (36 counting the original). it also pulls off the "mainly filler eps until everything suddenly spurs into motion" thing very well. it's also funny because the series started out named as "animation vs minecraft shorts" when episodes in season 3 would get up into at least 20 minute runtimes.
this series is where we start to get personalities developed for the four sticks that second befriended in ava 4, through the lens of different minecraft niches, from animal care to potions to redstone to noteblocks.
avm seasons 1 and 2 focus more on exploring the different aspects of minecraft (such as build battles), though season 1 does have a very brief arc involving this other stick, purple
(purple shows up in later episodes as well)
speaking of purple, if you're watching animation vs minecraft as a whole, make sure to watch animation vs leauge before you get to season 3 otherwise there could be a brief moment of confusion.
"but starry idk anything about minecraft-" THAT'S OK!! sorry for yelling i got excited. the series does a pretty good job of laying down the basics of the more complex mechanics before the stickfigures proceed to take it to heights that are probably not achievable in vanilla.
"starry what about season 3-" I'M GLAD YOU ASKED sorry got excited again. season 3 takes a hard pivot from "semi-unconnected episodes with maybe a few overarching elements" to "fully episodic adventures that will genuinely make you a bit emotional at times near the end". it also starts with blue going to find netherwart before the escalation escalates and trust me once you know how the season ends that seems so much funnier.

season 4 goes back to the less sequential episodes, just with a few status quo updates from the end of season 3 added in, namely the occasional addition of two characters from season 3 that people go feral over seeing included.
I'LL ALSO USE THIS SPACE TO TALK ABOUT THE ACTUAL SHORTS, which, as stated, are shorts that don't have a runtime over a minute or a minute and a half. they're somewhat of a mix between minecraft themed and being themed around other aspects of the series (there's one where the sticks and alan try to max out a clicker game, for example).
animation vs education
these ones are a bit less "plot" and a little more "hey look at this cool thing". the only character we're familiar with to be in this is second, and we essentially follow them going through these various black spaces exploring different educational concepts. right now we have avmath, avphysics, and avgeometry.
they all manage to be engaging and interesting even when the concept being explored reaches the point where you might not understand what the heck is going on (a big example for me being when avphysics started getting into more theoretical stuff, the sequence was cool enough that i didn't even care that half of it was going over my head).

i also feel like these are the ones that people unfamiliar with the series are likely to find? at least when i mention the series usually if someone's heard of it it's cuz they've watched avmath or avphysics.

even though these don't seem to have any connection to the main series (though a lot of people hc that they're second's dreams), i still recommend giving these a watch if for no other reason that they're really cool!
influencer arc
this one's the newest bit added to the umbrella! it's a 3-episode arc about one of the sticks, green, making a youtube channel with his friends and also exploring adobe products. we only have one episode of this so far, and it was funny because everyone was literally going feral over it when it released.
this one's also fun because there's an actual youtube channel for green, so you can see the full version of the videos they make in the episodes! the channel was leaked before the episode release so everyone went feral over that then too. the videos on the channel are very much "kids messing around with a camera" vibes.
the one-off eps
there's quite a number of these that explore different things, like animation vs youtube, where second and green manage to tick off a video player, or the team trees and team seas videos where blue gets the ability to grow trees and remove trash with money (at least in second's dreams). like i said, for understanding one aspect of avm season 3 (namely why everyone's fairly chill with purple when meeting them), i recommend watching animation vs leauge before reaching season 3, purple shows up there.
if you want me to go more in depth about the characters themselves (with some of my headcanons bleeding through a li'l), let me know and i can make a part two! i recommend giving the series a watch if you want to understand better but you'll likely want to break it up into more managable chunks
i also wrote most of this while on the bus to work
#animator vs animation#animation vs minecraft#tbh i don't know what else i can tag this with cuz i'm not about to tag every character i mentioned more than once#if you have any other questions i guess let me know?

For the record, even if you’re not into animal genetics, Genetic Animals and Realistic Horse Genetics just add some nice variety and depth to Minecraft.
Beyond just the visual variety, genetic animals adds variations in how much each animal produces. Some sheep make less wool than others and some drop leather instead of wool. Some cows are more suited to meat production and others produce more milk. Some rabbits grow wool!
It also makes it so you can ride cows which is amazing.
Both mods add pregnancy but you can disable that if you want it to function more like vanilla Minecraft. All the timers for growth, pregnancy, and cooldowns are fully configurable.
Also Genetic Animals makes animals spawn in biomes with climate appropriate traits. Cold biomes are more likely to have woolier sheep and rabbits and highland type cows. Hot biomes will likely have sheep with little to no wool and ones with wool likely have the shedding gene that lets you get wool from them without shears.
It just makes the world so much more dynamic, even if animals aren’t really your thing. Highly recommend both mods, at least until Genetic Animals adds equines.

New update for Y'all It's Winter now available for Minecraft Bedrock and Java Edition! It mostly fixes some issues that appeared in recent game versions, but also it comes with tweaks to a few things, such as fast leaves and (on Bedrock Edition) water colors and underwater fog!
Download Links:
Bedrock Edition (Planet Minecraft)
Java Edition (Planet Minecraft)
Java Edition (Modrinth)
Change Log:
Bug Fixes
[BE] Water in normal Swamps and Swamp Hills is now 90% opaque instead of 65% opaque. ৹ Swamp water is intended to be 100% opaque, but Mojang broke it in game version 1.21.40. Instead of fully restoring the opacity, I decided to change it to 90% because it looks better. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to all water always being the same opacity there.
[BE] Mangrove Leaves now look correct again when Fancy Leaves is disabled. (Outdated resource pack moment. Not Mojang's fault for once.) ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to a difference in how fast leaves work.
[BE] Mangrove Leaves now sound like Azalea Leaves. Apparently, I just completely missed them before. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to limitations.
[BE] The sides of Grass Blocks now use a slightly less broken-looking green in the Pale Garden and transition from other biomes more smoothly. ৹ A better solution would be to change the tint to white or remove it entirely, but Bedrock Edition currently allows neither. This is set to change in game version 1.21.60. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to it already allowing me to fully remove the tint from Grass Blocks.
Potted Flowering Azaleas no longer have flowers on their insides, to match normal Flowering Azaleas. (Vanilla inconsistency)
Azalea Leaves and Flowering Azalea Leaves no longer use slightly different color palettes. No clue how that even happened in the first place.
[BE] Pack-affected Leaves now look the same when covered as when Fancy Leaves is disabled. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to leaves not becoming opaque when covered.
[JE] Leaves should now look less garbage when "Graphics" is set to "Fast".
[JE] Short Grass, Tall Grass, Ferns, and Large Ferns now look correct in item form. ৹ Does not apply to Bedrock Edition due to this having never been an issue.
[JE] Vines and Lily Pads now look correct in item form in game version 1.21.4. ৹ It is technically possible to fix their appearance in older game versions, but it would be tedious and i can't be bothered right now. ৹ Does not apply to Bedrock Edition due to this having never been an issue.
General Changes
[BE] Removed panorama textures as vanilla has changed the panorama since the previous version of the pack. ৹ A new panorama would be warranted due to The Garden Awakens drop, but the method I previously used to make them no longer works for literally no reason.
[JE] Pack now reads as compatible with game versions from 1.21.0 to 1.21.4. ৹ Does not apply to Bedrock Edition because version compatibility is an opt-out system there, rather than an opt-in one.
[JE] Pack now reads as compatible with game versions all the way back to snapshot 23w31a, which is the first to support multi-version packs.
[JE] Panorama now only shows the Trails and Tails variant in game versions from snapshot 23w31a to release 1.20.6. Otherwise, the vanilla panorama is shown. ৹ A panorama would be warranted for The Garden Awakens drop, but the method I previously used to make them no longer works for literally no reason.
[BE] The soundscape is now more varied! ৹ Short Grass now sounds like Vines. ৹ Tall Grass now sounds like Dripleaves. ৹ Large Ferns now sound like Sponges. ৹ Birch, Spruce, and Acacia Leaves now sound like Cherry Leaves. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to limitations.
[BE] Vines are now slightly darker when placed into the world. ৹ This is to hide the fact that Vines are not subject to block face dimming. Unfortunately, Bedrock Edition currently has issues preventing me from just making them so.
[JE] Vines are now subject to block face dimming.
Increased contrast on pack-affected Leaves when covered or when Fancy Leaves is disabled.
Pack now affects Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone Bricks. They are now a cold blue instead of a warm yellowish green.
Tweaked the side and internal textures of (non-potted) Azaleas and Flowering Azaleas. The snow is now rounder, and the snow-covered flowers are now visible like on other similar textures.
[BE] Tweaked water surface colors. Many of them are now bluer. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to limitations.
[BE] Pack now affects underwater fog in all biomes in which the water surface color is also affected. ৹ This is done by adding new fogs and not by replacing the existing fogs for command reasons, but I am not sure how this affects resource pack compatibility.
Technical Changes
[BE] The comments in terrain_texture.json now reflect the biomes' actual names instead of their IDs. ৹ Does not apply to Java Edition due to it not allowing comments.
[BE] Lowered resolutions of all colormaps to 1x. Hopefully this doesn't cause issues.
[BE] All affected block textures have been moved to "textures/cb_custom_blocks/snowy" for potential resource pack interaction, except for "textures/blocks/grass_side_snowed" and the textures for Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone Bricks. ৹ This is done by assigning custom terrain_texture.json entries via blocks.json. Lily Pads and Pink Petals have also been updated to this standard.
[JE] All affected block textures have been moved to "textures/block/cb_snowy" for potential resource pack interaction, except for "textures/block/grass_block_snow" and the textures for Mossy Cobblestone and Mossy Stone Bricks. ৹ This is done using the model files without touching the blockstates files since using the blockstates files would provide no benefit.
[JE] Pack now replaces the vanilla colormaps with pure white in a vain attempt to hide an issue with particle tinting. It works some of the time. ৹ Colormaps are not shrunken as they are on Bedrock Edition due to that breaking Java Edition. because of course it does.

Magisterium characters playing Minecraft because why tf not
Call:
- custom skin, changes it very often though
- plays on console
- tries to tame all the animals (even the ones that can't be tamed)
- normally plays on survival but not always
Aaron:
- doesn't actually own an account, plays splitscreen with Call as a guest
- normally just uses the Steve skin
- sort of good at building
- shit at survival but plays anyways because it's what Call wants
- takes animals back for Call
- actually nice to the villagers
Tamara:
- custom skin
- computer player normally
- builds the most fancy and extravagant thing ever then calls it an 'easy starter base'
- only actually spends 1% of her time in the base
Jasper:
- skin he downloaded or bought somewhere
- doesn't enjoy playing that much but does to fit in
- worse at survival than Aaron
Drew:
- Skin looks like the cute detailed ones that Minecraft YouTubers used to use but don't anymore for some reason
- owns an unnecessary amount of horses
- everyone assumes he's harmless (he isn't)
- has a lot of iron golems + Alex to protect him
Alex:
- fully capable of making a custom skin but uses the Alex skin
- adds 37483747 mods because the vanilla game is boring to him
- once Aaron tried to take one of Drew's horses and he spawn killed him for half an hour until Aaron quit and left the game
- most mods he adds are either for new blocks or weapons
- especially weapons
- best at fighting even in vanilla survival
- usually plays on hardcore mode
