I finally had time to read "Immutable Truth" and man if you are 'losing your touch' then we're all impalpable. You have a way for writing dialogue that feels like it could've come straight from the characters mouth on the show. It makes for such good immersion like YES that's my GUY he WOULD fucking say that.

Also it was so sweet. When he says "when was the last time. Don't make light of my commitment to you." Like just that tiny bit of anger at even the thought of looking the other way. Guarantee that's when her resolve melted. Kicking feet and twirling hair, girl just let him hug you.

(And please by all means keep putting "silly girl" in his internal monologue if you want to give me a heart attack)

I took a break from writing for a couple months (and this blog was my first attempt at writing in the first place) so I personally kinda didn’t like the result, but seeing some of you say it’s good, I’m glad!

YES, I wanted him to be slightly offended, like, excuse me? When have I ever…? Ah?! Tell me when was the last time, I dare you.

I wanted him to knock some sense into her, challenge her to think of even just one instance, just one instance of him even so much as glimpse at someone else.

No way. No way. Nope. Once in love, I imagine Adrian gives it his all and stays faithful. He has eyes only for her. All or nothing, darling. I thought his delivery had to be firm yet unaggressive, but that he also should acknowledge he needed to do better.

I really enjoy adding his pov/thoughts into everything rather than the unnamed s/o’s. I’m glad that the things he says, while cheesy, still come across Netflix-accurate haha.

I defended Armie Hammer against the calculated misinformation circulating on social media during the smear campaign perpetrated by his ex-wife, which culminated in his vindication in the press with the Airmail article by James Kirchick and the in-depth analysis of the scandal by HouseInhabit, with the help of research and evidence by House of Receipts. Period. End of story.

I don’t think he’s a saint by any stretch of the imagination, and should he happen to choose to do something stupid, I certainly wouldn’t defend that behavior.

While people can’t always be relied upon for consistency in their values and behavior, the truth is immutable. The truth is what I’m truly interested in defending. That’s it. That’s all.

Because I can’t find any actual facts amid the ambiguous complaints in this new goat rodeo to fully understand the situation accurately enough to comment, I’m mystified by your assertion, Anon, that I’m defending him (against what, I wouldn’t even know.)

Until such time as the facts and evidence surrounding this new situation prove that this is a case worth defending, I will continue to ignore it. As we all should.

It can be breathtaking sometimes.

There is something about seeing bold declarations stated so confidently on a screen or device that lends an instantaneous credibility to even the most obvious fabrications.

And if enough people spread it around on social media without fact-checking or any other due diligence, it somehow magically BECOMES the truth, at least on the internet, like some kind of collective delusional mass hysteria.

And once that happens, it becomes nearly impossible to compel people to release themselves from the egotistical grip of their own opinions long enough to see the lie.

In order to be responsible consumers and creators of content on social media, we must be mindful of the fact that the truth is immutable, but only with evidence to support it. Only proven facts can be called facts. Claims without proof to support them are merely someone’s opinions.

The thing is that I often refuse to say or accept things even as a joke bc I perceive the ideological implications. Any take that isn’t true will have bad ideological implications by definition. Which is also why something being the truth is also always important to recognize simply by virtue of it being the truth. It only “doesn’t matter” when you (or I btw I’m included in this generic-you, it’s not like I’m omniscient) don’t see how it matters but it always does down the line bc anything that is not true will at some point be incoherent with reality
