Chishiya's eyes are still heavy with exhaustion as he reaches up to snatch the Eastside newspaper away from Sett. ( As exhausted as he might be, he's not delusional. He knows he's only managed to achieve that because Sett LET him take the paper back. ) His back and neck ache from the awkward angle in which he had fallen asleep, hunched over his desk and the papers of records and expenses. His little nap hadn't been planned. But evidently he might be overdoing himself, because he can see the morning light filtering through the glass and illuminating the entrance area to the clinic.

" IT DOESN'T MATTER. " Chishiya dismisses as he tosses the newspaper to the side. He knows what's on it. The picture of him with Eastside announcements to being the youngest rising doctor, TAKING AFTER HIS PARENTS AT THE TOP OF THE MEDICAL INDUSTRY. " It's just some worthless title and besides - it's not like you asked. " Except they both know Chishiya likely wouldn't have revealed anything personal had Sett tried to probe for more details.

He stands up and fights to hide the grimace as his muscles ache at the movement. " It doesn't matter. " He repeats, eyes focused down to tidy up the papers. IT'S NOT TRUE. " Even if it does matter, even if it somehow got out, it won't affect you. Well, besides losing a doctor on call for you and your group. " Chishiya's voice is clinical and calm. " I destroy any evidence for any clients that aren't official ones in my other clinic, so there'd be nothing that would put you at stake. I'd be the one in danger. " He's thought about it. Would they drag him off to jail? Disappear and never be heard from again? Or to the MBCC for interrogation regarding sinner information, even if they don't know that HE is one?

The almost fully healed wound in his side from the mania bullet throbs.

Sett. . . was talking about the newspaper, wasn't he? Finding out how high up Chishiya really was? Except surely Sett had suspected SOMETHING along those lines with the information he's provided to help Sett and his gang avoid traps in return for favors. No casual doctor has powerful clients like that. Maybe the ranking had? Or . . . Chishiya's hands pause over the manila file. They hadn't really discussed anything related to the mania since the incident. Not the wound itself - or the fact that Chishiya had endured far longer than any NON-SINNER would.

Chishiya can almost his blood pressure change, the spike as his mania wobbles just slightly inside his veins like vines peeking out of the crevices in his mask. His eyes slide towards Sett. Does Sett know? Does he suspect? HIS MOUTH GOES DRY. " . . . That's . . . what you're talking about, right? " He forces the words to sound calm as he turns to face Sett fully. " The newspaper? Hardly the most interesting article in there. " He's trying to escape the conversation, to look for a weak spot to change the subject or push it away from him. UNFORTUNATELY, it's harder to do when he's short on sleep.

Hnnn sorry I had to censor most of the dialogue it has big spoilers lol.

I got an ask that is being weird and won’t let me reply to it!!! Which really sucked because it had a really good question which is why Y/N looks the way they do (white eye, shadowed face, clawed hands, etc)

So without giving to much away Yvaine is magical by nature, which can be helpful to get out of bad situations. I’ve said it before though, in this world magic has consequences. Y/Ns nightmare in my diseased pmv eludes to what happened to them, be it more symbolic than anything. It also is just a small glimpse as to what could’ve happened, and doesn’t really give any super big hints. But it is there!

Every time you see a symbol/insignia it means something. Just putting that out there. :]

We all know that Matthew set up the pool scene as a reference to the hanging of Judas (Matthew 27:3-10), inspired by Hannibal's own lecture from the novel and Antipasto.

Then Matthew complicates things by duct taping Hannibal's arms to a broken broom pole, making him look like Jesus. Judas is never depicted in the crucifixion pose (he's normally hanging from a tree branch), so the show is obviously implying that Hannibal is playing a sacrificial/savior role in this episode (at least in the eyes of Jack and Alana).

But then Matthew keeps spreading his arms out in mockery. I don't know why I never put this together before, but he's totally supposed to be the impenitent thief!

Jesus was crucified along with two bandits. The one on his right was penitent and asked for Jesus to remember him in heaven. The one on his left mocked Jesus with the rest of the crowd, saying that if he was really the son of God, he should be able to save himself. Matthew is standing on Hannibal's left in both of those shots, and there's an empty spot to Hannibal's right where the penitent thief would stand if he was present. How fun!

Y'all know how, in some versions of Spider-man's origin story, his late parents were spies? What if that were the case for Billy Batson’s parents as well? Just a little idea for an AU, just a thought, hear me out on this--

While they were publicly known as archeologists, their secret lives could have been full of espionage and secrets. Hidden money, family secrets, probably one of the reasons why C.C. Batson distanced himself away from his older brother, Ebeneezer, and other family and friends. If they didn't, someone would have taken Billy in and noticed Mary was missing when they died. Also, how much was Billy and Mary's inheritance?? I feel like it was a lot for Ebeneezer to steal without mercy and to spend recklessly in his personal investments and finances. He gave out loans to people (unfairly), how much money was this?? What were Billy's parents hiding?? If this was in cash form, was this stash just hidden in their home, and when Ebeneezer found it, casually kicked Billy out?

What kind of mission would they have been sent on? In one version, I think, they were employed under Dr. Sivana. Infiltrating Khandak for Dr. Sivana? Or a more private organization? C.C. did know some of the older Fawcett heroes. Did they take Mary with them for a cover and to not be suspicious, acting like a normal tourist couple?

I'm rambling, but I like thinking about Billy and Mary's parents and who they were before passing.

PoisonPuppy; Now I should probably revamp this; And it's actually an incredibly dark ship... But it's Mutt with his Muffett. It doesn't end well, and like the name implies; Drugs, dark themes, and other toxins are roped into this thread... But they look cute together, so I like the ship for pure image alone.

Honestly, there's so many ships for the Monsters I could see happening; It's crazy! I've seen a Shyrin hooked up, or least talked about with one of the Skeleton Brothers. I've seen Sans+Alphys, which would be a hilarious sitcom on itself if they went Poly with Undyne and maybe even the King??

But there you go; That's a lot of my top ships and I am ALWAYS looking to see more cute things out and around!! Sans+Alphy is cute; But Alphy+Undyne is forever in my mind. I cannot break those two up LOL
