when i say i want jeremy knox to crash out i mean i want him to CRASH OUT. i want it to be debilitating. i want it to be brutal. i want him to lose it so bad people think he won't recover. i want him to lose his goddamn mind. i want everyone around him to panic and lose it too, because jeremy is always in control, always knows what he's doing, and he's finally been derailed. i want him to lose control and spiral and devolve and i want all the tentative threads holding him and his family and whatever past transgressions he has to unravel and for him to lose it so badly everyone gets worried that he won't make it out alive. i want every terrible thing in his past, big or small, to catch up with him and eat him alive. i want him to be irretrievable inconsolable unreachable i want him to be so out of it everyone is kind of like "well what the fuck do we do now" like if it's not that kind of a crash out i don't want it.

Does anyone know how to explain to a young teenager with AuDHD that "yes, listening to other people talk is incredibly boring, and talking is very fun, but other people enjoy talking too and sometimes need a break from listening" in a way that sinks in without destroying their self-esteem because I'm out of my depth here

also despite everything I headcanon apollo as having to be very careful with his words, especially definitive phrases, like, every word he says Is truth (even if that truth is that he's lying rn lmao) and so every future simple statement counts as a prophecy

like, imagining bronze age apollo desperately pleading with zeus to prevent the fall of troy, that is urgent, and zeus taking it as personal attachment and arrogance and him being dramatic (making him want to go for it even more)

and apollo just standing there trying to find more ways to not say the standing of troy is the only thing between the civilization that sustains their existence and complete societal apocalypse to avoid locking them into that definitive future

An especially grotesque detail, to me, from the recent Oceangate docs is Stockton Rush targeting new graduates to work for him because the seasoned professionals kept telling him what he was doing wrong. Cuts a little too close to my experiences with the "grad students are cannon fodder" approach in academia.

Für uns bedeutet das: Bei der nächsten Wahl machen wir unsere Kreuzchen bei der SPD. Ohne wenn und aber.

Damit die nächste Regierung einigermaßen vernünftig wird, brauchen wir eine starke SPD-Fraktion. Von den momentan wahrscheinlichen Konstellationen ist die GroKo noch das erträglichste, aber selbst für die GroKo könnte es mit den Mehrheiten schwierig werden. Von Dingen wie Rotgrün oder gar R2G können wir derzeit höchstens nachts träumen.

Ich sage das auch nicht gerne, aber wer eine einigermaßen progressive Partei in der Regierung sehen möchte, der muss dieses Mal SPD wählen.

Ihr habt bis nächstes Jahr, um euch mit dem Gedanken anzufreunden.
