It makes me visibily sick to remember that Joyce byers thought her son was a victim of a hate crime when he went missing. She was terrified that something horrible happened to her son in their conservative town.

It makes me throw up when I think about how Jonathan even checked the trunk of lonnie’s car because he knew he was capable of doing horrible things to his brother. Even thought Will wasn’t there, just the fact that he had to check is sickening enough.

It’s sick that people think the boy that has been subjected to abuse and hatred by his own father, his classmates and entire town is a crybaby for wanting to play with his friends. It’s just disgusting.

Thinking once more about The FBI spying on the party. Specifically about one agent who insists that each party member should have a code name, but picks the least helpful code names of all time.

Like no one else uses them and the guy just uses the party’s initials so you get conversations like:

Agent Todd: Awe man, JB found another one of our bugs

Agent Johnston: Jonathan Byers found a bug?

Agent Todd: What? No. Joyce Byers

Agent Todd: It looks we got a lot of Hs and Bs congregating together. Should we be concerned?

Agent Moore: That. Is. Not. Informative.

Agent Michaels: Is Bauman one of the Bs?

Agent Todd: No.

Agent Michaels: Don’t waste my time.

Agent Todd, in the field: Damn it, I lost the trail on JH

There's no question that i hate more than, "Why did they make Will gay and in love with Mike?" Okay, so why did they make Jonathan, a poor, shy, and weird boy, date Nancy, a middle-class, extroverted, pretty girl? Why did they make Lucas, a black boy, date Max, a white girl with a racist brother? Why did they make Joyce, a sensitive single mother who is always worried about her sons, date Hopper, a police chief with attachment issues and afraid to show his feelings to others? And why did they make Robin a lesbian and a friend to Steve instead of a new romantic pair for him, the popular kid? And the list goes on. I swear to God, these people watch the series with their eyes closed.

It’s that Byers family rizz. That kind of quirky, offbeat, maybe a little out there charm??? That underdog and low-key-kind-of-a-loser vibe??? The niche taste in music, thrifted clothes, shaggy haircut, and having to convince others that they’re not crazy energy??? Absolutely irresistible. It’s so funny that the Byers are canonically a weird and bullied, socially outcast family but that they all canonically have rizz 😭😭 Bc why is Jonathan pulling Nancy Wheeler??? Why does every girl who looks at Will want to kiss him??? Why is someone always talking Joyce on a date??? When you’re in a rizz competition and your opponent is the Byers family.
