Knight Takes e4
With the amount of people falling asleep all around the school, Tanji almost wasn't surprised to see another unfamiliar face slumped back in a chair. It was only when she walked closer that she noticed a nervous chill creeping over her--the shadows on the person's neck, and the stilled rhythm of their chest. Their first murder.聽
Somehow it didn't occur to her to do her own investigation first. Maybe panic did that. Whatever the reason, she quietly backed out, closing the door behind her, and promptly sprinted down the stairs to the first floor and the dorm area. She did not act frantic. She did not scream.
The first door she knocked on was Nagashi's, for the simple reason that he was more likely to be in his room than anyone else she'd talked with recently. 聽Somehow she managed to explain the situation before turning right around and bolting back to the classroom, assured that the rest of the students would come soon. It would be best to catalog the available evidence before it could be disturbed.
>Investigation Start!
The first thing that had to be done was...determining cause of death. Approaching with probably less trepidation than she should have had, she peeled away the person's--the body's--shirt collar, revealing a pink stain on the inside that could only have been blood. The back of their throat had been sliced open. She frowned at the purple shadows on their neck she originally took to be bruises from strangulation, and rubbed at it as if trying to get a spot off a mirror. A bit of it rubbed off on her hands. Yeah, definitely not a bruise.

seriously chill out on the dying (open)
With the death of Eren- wait no, Tori as well, you fortunately had your glasses back and could see more than two inches in front of you, but you'd rather them be gone and those two be living again. You couldn't say that you'd felt any extreme friendly feelings towards Tori, especially since a couple things you were fairly certain he'd said, but Eren.. he was the first one you talked to when you were all put in this situation, and whatever he thought of you, you thought he was nice. A little. As nice as you thought most of the ones you didn't outright dislike, at least.
You weren't really up to investigating right now, and it's not like you knew which one to investigate in the first place. Which person was worth avenging, over the other? That's not something you could decide, so you didn't. Instead of looking for evidence you opted to stay inside, holed up in a corner of the kitchen. You'd amassed a great deal of cans and boxes and made yourself a suitable hiding spot. No one could ever find you, and then you wouldn't have to die like everyone else was. But.. at the same time, you kind of hoped for someone to find you, so you could make sure that everyone else wasn't dying, as well. Hell, your entire group could be murdered while you hid away. Who's to know they weren't? Even so, with your worried thoughts, you stayed hidden and absently read the nearest box's instructions, 'To Make a Chocolate Pie,' so you wouldn't be too wrapped up in your thoughts.

{ In the End, Only Our Regrets Remain }
When Zinaida first heard the announcement, she was in disbelief. A murder? Had some truly died? Was someone here weak enough to bend to that serpent's will and... kill one of their classmates? The idea was inane--but very real, she realized, and she had to deal with it quickly.
She opened up her electroID, reading over the file, and her lips quivered as she read the location of the murder. Making way posthaste towards the crime scene, she knew there would be others there as well; but just as the snake had previously said..
...if they couldn't find the killer, then they'd all die. A shudder coursed through her, not only as she entered the room, but as the thought descended upon her with the despair it carried.
Poor Hamasaki-san... Zinaida hadn't had a chance to properly meet them yet. Though they were together for most of the breakfast meeting (Zinaida would never shirk out on a rule she together imposed with Rei and the rest), she never got to know them. A pang of guilt settled in her heart, which sparked the determination.
She would find Hamasaki-san's killer.

Lights Out [OPEN]
While he was preparing for bed to escape reality, the gosh darn speakers came on and made Yuzuki jump in his place. Why now out of all times? He squinted at the creature on the screen before putting his glasses back on. Ugh. That annoying laugh of his irked him so much. Was this another meeting at the gym? He hoped not.
... Slaughter. Did it really happen? He thought that he could trust everybody. How naive... Yuzuki checks his ID and reads the file thoroughly. He had to see this for himself. He didn't bother with changing out of his pyjamas, it's not like everybody would be all dressed up for this. Anyway, his clothes aren't embarrassing, rather boring than anything.
Yuzuki walked quicker than usual, towards the classroom. He peered in, trying his best to not disturb anyone investigating. And there it was. The body of someone he never personally knew. Drat. There were already a few people in there, four or five. Maybe the others were already asleep? Or they couldn't be bothered?? Whatever the reason was, Yuzuki felt grossed out at how some of the students just scanned the scene calmly. He could hardly enter the room! Rather than block the entrance, he stumbled to a desk, three desks away from the body.
Instead of checking out the crime itself, he watched from afar. He couldn't stop checking back at his watch, it was past his bedtime, he had let himself stay up later than usual but now wasn't the time to be selfish. He started taking notes...

Sitting her room as usual, Aurora stared at the door. She took the time to lock her door and shove a chair under the knob. Nobody would be able to get to her like this. She jumped out of her thoughts as an announcement blared through the screen, telling her about a new little issue. Well, maybe not too little.
A bit聽too聽slowly, she finally got up from her spot to go see just what the hell was going on. Not really bothering to listen to the snake in the box, she did hear the ping come from her ID card. Upon inspecting it for a while, her nose wrinkled.聽'How could someone murder someone like this?'聽A few flashbacks flew back into her mind, making her shake her head. Now was definitely not the time for that. 聽Using the map on her card, she easily found the location of the body, already finding quite a few other people there before her. This is what she gets for cooping herself up in her room all the time.
She walked a bit further into the room, her eyes landing upon the corpse. She didn't really know the guy, but it was still sad. Her legs started to wobble a bit, but her expression was completely unreadable. As usual. A few people were surrounding the body, so she decided against going over there until they cleared out some, so she focused a bit more on the room instead of the body.聽'What the hell are we even doing?'聽She pulled out her ID card, once again looking over the details. Reading about the blood by the door, she backed up a bit, making sure to not sit in the doorway, and examined them a bit. What else was she supposed to do?

first murder (open)
The announcement interrupted your writing- and you paused, looking to the screen with the annoying snake with it's pompous glass of wine, and even more irritating smile. What was it so pleased about all the time? Was there anything even here for a snake to eat, robotic or not..? That probably wasn't something you should worry about, so you shook your head of the thoughts and paid attention to what the snake was saying.
Wait.. slaughter? Someone died? With the ping of your ID card, you pulled it out and looked over the information. Hmm. There definitely wasn't enough information here to incriminate anyone, so you supposed you had to go and look for the body yourself. A little disgusting, but it was necessary, so you went.
You headed up to the room that was labeled on the card, and expected it to be full with all your classmates- but you could only see two, maybe three. How convenient. It looked like someone was already investigating the body itself, up close and personal.. even more disgusting. Was that something you had to do?
For some reason the body didn't really phase you, you suspected it would eventually, though, and you neared it. Hmm. Yes, it seemed to fit up to the card quite well.
What you were currently wondering though.. where could the murder weapon have went? Wouldn't it have been best to leave it in the open, so no one could be caught with it later? You looked to the people around you for their responses. Hopefully someone was wondering similar things.
