Captain is changing :( angst

JL is worried about Marvel. From what they can tell and think, he is some kind of entity or soldier created purely to serve, he only works. He only does good. He is rarely not flying around doing some good deed or not on duty. No matter how hard they try, Marvel never accepts taking time off or relaxing. He says it is his duty and that he must do it, as if it were the only thing he needs to do.

One day, a problem occurs. A villain is going to cast a curse on Earth. Marvel could end it instantly, but the immediate counter-spell would rebound on the villain and he would die.

Marvel didn't have the heart to do that.

So the curse was cast and shit got so bad that the wizard Mamaragan himself shows up to stop the end of the world and break the curse, killing the villain afterwards. And the league watches as Marvel tearfully apologizes for failing as his champion, how he should have done better, done more, that he put all his duties as a hero first and then his own needs and that he really tried.

But the wizard barely looks at him, just says, "Every day I realize that I should have thought more before choosing you as my champion. I hope you become better and that you don't let your own human feelings stop you from doing what is necessary again."

After that, if JL already thought Marvel was a workaholic, now it got worse. He always volunteers for the monitor dutys, he is always present at catastrophes, he is always on some live TV channel rescuing someone. But now he doesn't smile like before. His smile is even bigger, even brighter, more completely fake, as if he were one step away from losing his mind.

He no longer stops to talk to his colleagues, always too busy because somewhere in the world someone needs him. And the next time a similar accident happens, the league is petrified to see Marvel not hesitate for a moment to rip out the villain's heart and imprison all his essence in a magic bubble. The tense smile becomes even more painful on his face. But he doesn't even have time to deal with the league's reaction, he immediately excuses himself and says he has other stuff that needs his help.

Little by little, they are watching their silly and happy, goody two shoes, slightly workaholic fellow hero become a vigilante who represses his own emotions so deeply in order to put everything and everyone else first, its crazy

Bruce finds out the reason he and Clark didn't date so long is because Clark figured he was an incurable floozy who was allergic to commitment. So now every time there's a rumour, a hint of any of that or someone that would bother Clark, Bruce goes overboard.

Clark, spotting the man coming off the elevator at the Daily Planet and doing a double take: "Bruce what are you doing here?"

Bruce: "You weren't answering my calls."

Clark, slightly worried: "Yeah I got busy. Is everything--"

Bruce: "Whatever you read already, it's all lies--"

Clark: "Say what now?"

Bruce: "I was holding her jacket for her, that's it. She's dating my cousin, okay, and they've been together for like four months--"

Clark: "Slow down, what are you even talking about?"

Cat Grant, suddenly walking over: "Mr.Wayne! How fantastic to run into you like this--"

Clark: "Oh no, no, Cat he's just about to leave."

Cat: "--care to comment on rumours you're expecting a child with--"

Bruce, loudly, while pointing at Clark: "I love this man."

Clark: *turning red*

Bullpen:

Cat Grant: "Well my day's getting better and better."

Here's an update on this.

Like I said I would, here is the receipts for what I used the donated money for. I know there's a lot of food, but that was before we had the EBT card (which we have now, so anything further will be spent on groceries like shampoo + bills). Obviously personal/sensitive information has been censored.

Still on the job hunt!! I am trying to be hopeful.

I'm very sorry, anyone who knows me well knows I hate to being this, but ever since moms crash we have been struggling to pay our bills and put food on the table. My mom can't make more than $20,000 dollars a year now because she had to retire after shattering her leg and while I've been trying to pick up the slack, I can't even get a rejection email back from these fucking job applications.

We are barely scraping by thanks to the kindness of our neighbors and the landlady who has given us so many chances to get caught up. We have tried applying for financial aid, it hasn't worked. We will keep trying but after everything that's happened this year I don't think we'll get it. Our bills are getting cut off one after another. One of our neighbors has been letting us use his food stamps card for food, which I am thankful for, but it can't be used to purchase things like toilet paper and shampoo and it can't be used to pay the light bill.

This is really embarrassing for me, but I am regrettably here to ebeg and ask for donations. I feel as though I've exhausted most of my other options. It's okay if you don't have the money, everyone has been going through it lately, reblogging the post is fine. Once I can, I'll reblog this with proof I've been using the money for bills and groceries. I'm not here to scam anyone.

This user is known as mychemicalromance.ww on Instagram.

This user is well known for posting humorous imagery, however, researchers at BLI have discovered that they are not all that they seem.

They have a market, where they sell counterfeit, stolen, and even artificially generated merchandise.

More below the cut.

take for example this shirt.

this shirt uses this art, created by demiseman on Deviantart. however, as you can see, the shirt is cutoff at the top where the watermark is, and the logo is instead moved to the bottom.

Also consider this art, made by user happy_humbug76 on instagram. Yet again, no credit given.

The shirt shown below clearly has some artificially generated imagery going on, such as the cat, and the flag. Notice how the flag isn’t quite going anywhere.

This shirt is stolen, the watermark and signature having been removed. We are unsure if this video is the original source, so here is the signature for reference.

This next art is supposedly well-known amongst the community, and thus is commonly reposted, furthering the difficulties in locating the original creator.

Also consider that their website also sells replicas of official merchandise, and the fact their website has no privacy policy, nor anything even mentioning the proper crediting of creators.

The point is, stop supporting this type of scam. it's stealing from artists, who likely have no clue, and is just shady.
