How many years has In-ho been the frontman? What are your theories on this?

Here are some notes I took to myself on this a couple months ago while doing a re-watch:

In-ho won the 28th games in 2015.

We know he's still fairly recently missing in S1 2020, so even if he was employed by the Games, he hasn't been on the island full-time.

And the VERY VERY earliest he possibly could have been Front Man would have been 2016, but it seems more likely that he wouldn't have been employed by the Island, much less climbed the ranks (or been promoted over a lot of less qualified people) until probably 2017, and even that is VERY early - this would be a less likely, speed-run timeline.

Gihun won the 33rd games in 2020.

By S2, Front Man has managed the Games for at ABSOLUTE MOST 7 years.

BUT there's a distinct possibility that 2020 is the FIRST year he's totally in charge as Front Man, and only because Il-nam is unavailable. He introduces himself to the VIPs like they've never met.

I see it as much more likely that he took a few years to work himself up the ranks, so him only starting his new position as Front Man in 2020 tracks.

And if THAT'S the case, then the 36th games are only In-ho's third year as head honcho. Just three years! And then THIS happens! He's basically an intern! He must be so STRESSED when that rebellion breaks out and he's not even in the control room to handle it, shit.

Especially according to Korean career standards? Yeah he's BARELY started as Front Man I think.

Although, I also think it's likely the Front Men / Front Women don't typically stay in the job position for long. The stress, you know. A lot of them probably die early for job related reasons too.

TL;DR: between 3 and 7 years at most. Most likely, between 3 and 5 years. I personally think he was the Front Man already before 2020, but in a slightly lesser capacity, not entirely in charge, until Il-nam's death. Meaning he hasn't been in charge on his own for very long at all!

Some player archetypes/play styles of NHL forwards, pulled from the article (image tucked under the cut):

All-Around Offensive Playmaker -> A versatile offensive skater. Does not boast the same superb shooting ability as Puck Dominant Scorers, but excels in all things offense. Not a very physical skater. -> Strengths: G/100, Assist Rate, GV/100. -> Weaknesses: Hit Rate, Block Rate. -> Examples: 2014-15 John Tavares, 2010-11 lyla Kovalchuk.

Physical Opportunity Maker -> Instead of choosing to help their fellow linesmen by passing, these skaters take a more physical approach to the game. Not quite as defense-focused as Defense Heavy Forwards. -> Strengths: Hit Rate, Block Rate. -> Weaknesses: G/100, SAtt./100. -> Examples: 2018-19 Elias Lindholm, 2014-15 David Backes.

Defense Heavy Forward -> A forward almost entirely dedicated to the defensive side of the sport. As a result, these skaters provide very little offense contributions, but outclass everyone in physicality. -> Strengths: Hit Rate, Block Rate. -> Weaknesses: G/100, SAtt./100 Assist Rate. -> Examples: 2017-18 Leo Komarov, 2011-12 P.A. Parenteau.

Offensive Set-Up Man -> The proverbial "wingmen" of a line. Focus on composing advantageous situations rather than capitalizing on them themselves, though they still maintain a decent offensive presence. -> Strengths: Assist Rate, Takeaway Rate. -> Weaknesses: SAtt./100, Hit Rate. -> Examples: 2018-19 Aleksander Barkov, 2015-16 Mark Stone.

Puck Dominant Scorer -> The strongest shooters in all of hockey, they also do not mind getting physical. Most possessions revolve about setting these players up for success. -> Strengths: G/100, SAtt./100. -> Weaknesses: Assist Rate, Block Rate. -> Examples: 2016-17 Vincent Trocheck, 2012-13 Evander Kane.

Key: G/100: Number of goals scored per 100 offensive possessions. GV/100: Number of giveaways scored per 100 offensive possessions. SAtt./100: Number of shot attempts scored per 100 offensive possessions. Assist Rate: Percentage of goals that a player assisted in while on ice. Face-Off Rate: Percentage of face-offs that a player participated in while on ice. Takeaway Rate: Percentage of takeaways that a player took credit for while on ice. Block Rate: Percentage of blocked shots that a player took credit for stopping while on ice. Hit Rate: Percentage of hits that a player took credit for while on ice.

The first observation we can make is that none of the styles I identified earlier are insignificant. In other words, one of them have a small effect on their line’s efficiency—positive or negative. Though obvious, this means there is no position that should be written out of this analysis. Secondly, the proportion of Defense Heavy Forwards (DHF) present in a cluster distribution is the most important determinant of a line’s success, rather than the much more potent Puck Dominant Scorers (PDS). This finding is pretty interesting, considering I believe PDS are usually treated as the most influential skaters on the ice.

I have been having lots of fun reading your takes and everyone else's on the abo trope and pls ignore this if You don't like mpreg but My brain couldnt help itself and went, what if Valentino bit Marc in a rut back in 2014-2015 but instead he just gets this more intense emotional connection to Marc (he essentialy just wants Marc for himself) but Sepang Divorce happens and they break up and Vale just tries to ignore the one sided bond but suddenly through the grapevine he learns(Maybe it's 2025 after Marc won the ninth) that Marc is taking a year long break to have a kid.

Cue his brain going "That kid is NOT MINE", and he just decides to confront Marc about His perceived infidelity in full Alpha possesive rage only to learnt after coming into Marcs motorhome idk full guns blazing that Marc is looking for a Sperm donor and Rossi realizes that "Hey, WE may have fucked our relationship beyond any possibility of a good ending but maybe i could get my instincts to chill the fuck down if i impregnate him?" Fast forward to Valentino pestering Marc to let him be the other parent with argumentos like the baby being practicaly a motorcycle demigod if it had both of them as parents .

Ignore this obviously i just thought of it and wanted to share it with you. Sorry if it's poorly written as english is not my 1st language

PD: it would be hilarious if Marc told him angrily, after Rossi starts being annoying about the baby's potential father, that he would rather have Lorenzo, Dovi, Pedrosa, Pecco, etc as potential fathers than him
