I’m back, fusing @lolli-popples’s Jasper!Cleo with @chrisrin’s Peridot!Mumbo from the gem au. I feel like they would be really sassy and I love them. Drew this during a work shift, so there was a lot less time poured into it compared to my previous fusion art lol

Also, the floating hands were a last minute decision added in. I thought it would be cool, since peridot can control metal in the show (I think?) so they could just control the hands with some telekinesis kinda thing, idk. Also couldn’t find a place to put Mumbo’s mustache in 😔

In a flash of chaotic energy, Nimona’s form shifted. She shrank into a small, pale boy with dark circles under his dark brown eyes, clad in oversized gray shorts and clunky black boots. A perfect picture of innocence—if you ignored the glint of mischief. She stumbled forward, kicking a pebble for effect. “Miss?” her voice wobbled, high and pitiful. “I’m lost. I can’t find my mommy.”

The butler barely glanced up, thumbs flying across her screen. “Kid, not my problem,” she snapped, her tone dripping with irritation. “Go cry somewhere else.”

That was the signal. Chely nodded sharply from the bushes. Nimona’s pout twisted into a wicked smirk, and with a burst of glee, she morphed again—into her demon baby form. Still tiny, but now eerie, her dark eyes glinting as she lunged. “BOO!” she shrieked, her voice booming unnaturally.

The butler yelped, flailing backward as her phone clattered to the dirt. Before she could recover, Amethyst exploded from the bushes, cackling like a madwoman as she tackled the woman’s legs. Janna sauntered out a beat later, effortlessly cool, a burlap sack dangling from her fingers. “Gotcha,” she drawled, tossing it over the butler’s head with a flick of her wrist. The woman thrashed, muffled curses spilling out, but Amethyst pinned her while Janna tied the knot.

They’re very close! She loves her moms with everything she has, even if she is a bit sassy and sarcastic at times. It’s never to be mean, it’s just how she is when she’s comfortable. She respects their rules, but especially in her “teenage” phase, she pushes the limits lol. “Be back home by 10” gets home right at 9:59:59. That sort of thing :p

That said she loves spending time with them and cuddles with them (especially Lapis) well into adulthood.

Peridot would be so jealous of Murderbot's access to the Feed. Meanwhile I feel like Murderbot wouldn't be very interested in Peridot until she started talking tech, specifically new drones or potential upgrades. Then it would probably set her in a challenge; getting her so focused on building that she stops trying to initiate conversation.

These two would just bounce off of each other, happiest to coexist and exchange information via files and logs with minimal direct interaction. At first. Collaboration and sassy smack talk on clods and idiot clients comes after they adjust to the other's idiosyncrasies.

Kind of obsessed with the crossover of Murderbot and Peridot. Both aroace beings with an innate knack for technology and a penchant for melodramas. I think Murderbot would absolutely add “clod” to its list of “insults for clients” and Peridot would take a page out of its book when it comes to drone use. That being said. With Peridot’s intricate shipping charts up against Murderbot’s “no nonsense no romance” approach to fiction, they would 100% be at each others’ throats like half the time.
