The time traveling alien known as the Doctor (Doctor 1) and his companions arrived in England in 1066 and were surprised to find a modern wristwatch and a gramophone. The Doctor learned that these anachronistic devices belonged to another time traveling alien calling himself the Monk. The Monk planned to use an atomic bazooka to change the events of the battle of Hastings.
