I've now rewatched episodes of Batman: the Animated Series, Justice League the Animated Series and Spider-Man the Animated Series (1994). And honestly? Spider-Man and his show feels a lot more independently made and produced. By which I mean the episode I saw on Disney+ with my dad (the debut of The Scorpion) was fast paced, choppily edited, and the visual quality on Disney+ wasn't great. Oh, and all the characters speak in that same overly formal and stilted way silver age comics characters talked. But I love it. I loved it more than Batman the Animated Series or Justice League the Animated Series.
Why? Well...because it's silly, and it makes no pretensions about being some massively serious and dramatic thing. It's a comic book adaptation, and it's not made by Warner Bros or some big name studio (I assume, since I don't think Disney owned Marvel in 1994). Spider-Man (1994) is way easier to get lost in, because there's next to no dramatic pauses. Not in that scorpion episode, at least. It just moved from action to jokes to action to jokes to the ending. It's fast and fun. Probably could give someone a headache (since there was a lot of flashing lights), but that's the only complaint I can think of.
Really, the cheaper quality just makes it feel more kitschy and fun. It's not pretentious and obsessed with dark and serious storytelling, ala the DCAU. It's just having fun, and Spider-Man is a way cooler protagonist than Batman. He's more fun. Him and his villains are on equal footing. Batman is too serious and his villains too fun. So the balance is off. But this Spider-Man show nailed it. I think I actually remember more of it than i remember of the Batman show or the DCAU. Probably because the DCAU only had a handful of things i loved.

first of all LOVING THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES, love seeing my kids on screen BUT Gabe NEEDS to be more of an asshole, who is this Disney-Channel-Coded-Comic-Relief-Grumpy-Middle-Aged-Man and why has he replaced the abusive dickhead who stole Percy’s lunch money who he and Sally had to KILL to get away from? Stop being SCARED Disney

Warner Brothers and Nickelodeon joined forces to animate a movie version of Batman vs The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The May 14, 2019 dvd release, which was the first animated TMNT and first Nick animated movie to recieve a PG-13 rating, pitted Batman (Troy Baker), Batgirl (Rachel Bloom), Robin (Ben Giroux) and the Ninja Turtles (Eric Bauza, Darren Criss, Kyle Mooney, Baron Vaughn) against Ras al Guhl (Cas Anvar) and Shredder (Andrew Kishino). The movie also included Batman allies Alfred Pennyworth (Brian George) and Commissioner James Gordon (Jim Meskimen) as well as rogues gallery members Joker (also Troy Baker), Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy (both by Tara Strong), Mr Freeze (John DiMaggio), Bane (Carlos Alazraqui), Two Face (Keith Ferguson), and Penguin (Tom Kenny).
