Fall 2022 - ART 118 Vis Com - Completed Assignments (Traditional, Ink and Marker on Marker Paper and Toned Paper) I have always had a complex love hate relationship with ink and marker. I hate that it’s so precise and doesn’t leave room for mistakes but I also love how good they look photographed. The details make me happy. After this class, I feel like I’m leaning towards love more than hate. My pages from the first week of the Creature Design class taught by @peterhanstyle (instagram). I went to Phinizy Swamp Nature Park here in Augusta and it was pretty fun to just watch and observe. Excited for the rest of the class!

My personal projects have slowed down considerably since my focus is on class, but I'm doing my best to do both.

This was the illustration that actually got me to follow Bryce. The colors to the building of the environment were just an amazing composition. If you know the characters featured in the show, then it's an even more in-depth illustration as it goes from a simple drawing to a mini where's Waldo.

I don’t think he has used blocking methods how other artists traditionally do within his professional career. He draws almost as if he sees the shape beforehand, almost like an Italian sculptor whose name I blank on.

I definitely still need to practice and improve, but Peter's class really helped me identify my weaknesses and how I should practice.
