Lettuce, Shirogane and Pie 💚

So I’ve been holding this piece off for a while. It’s a Fruits Basket-style-love triangle piece with Lettuce, Shirogane, and Pie.

Their outfits are based on the New anime (and Pie’s from Re-turn with a little more flair). I’m a bit iffy on the pink skirt since the coloring choice was a bit rushed, but I’m super happy with the result!

Synopsis (translated from the official website):

“It’s Akasaka’s birthday — let’s celebrate together! All of the Mews gather together for a party.

We try to make a cake to surprise Akasaka, but it’s a disaster! How else can we make Akasaka happy?

We all try to come up with more ideas, but we keep coming up with all kinds of weird suggestions.

Then, Kish, Pie and Tart somehow break into the café…

What’s going to become of Akasaka’s birthday party?!”

Translation notes:

I’m using the same romanization as the TMMN team does, so “Quiche” -> “Kish” and “Pudding/Bu-Ling” -> “Purin”.

I am omitting Japanese colloquialisms like “-san”, “-chan” or “onee-sama”.

This script was simpler to translate than the Cat!! Super Party script and about half the length. It also has less characters, as Masaya and Ryou are not in the performance.

Taruto che fa il bulletto e poi, quando Purin lo rimprovera, va nel pallone strillando che non è stata una sua idea. Si vede che la ragazzina inizia a fargli un certo effetto, viva la continuità.

Certo ce n'è voluto a mettere Ryotasu e Pietasu nella stessa scena. Anche se povero Ryou, in questo episodio non spicca molto, passa metà del tempo a fare il donzello in difficoltà svenuto. Quindi tecnicamente il bacio è Ryotasu ma la parte che viene approfondita a livello di interazione di personaggi è Pietasu.

Vabbè, tanto alla fine il canon non se n'è fatto nulla di nessuna delle due ship.

Hello there dear Anon! So sorry fort the late reply, basically i open Tumblr most of the time from the app and I haven't noticed these inbox messages until.. well, now

So, about your question... y'know it is a very interesting take on the epilogue!

Retasu working at the museum about alien civilization both suits her being so open about others, about different cultures and her desire of knowing more and more about the previous earthlings... and both Ryou's parents exactly same goal, but in a more humanistic and less scientific way.

Also it also suits so well her desire to help Ryou as well: her being in love with him will bring her not only to challenge herself and her own limits in order to help him accomplish his mission (the Mew Aqua scene for example) but will also make her discover a whole new world, the alien ones, making researches and studying the once-enemy-now-friend. Her being pen-pal with Pie is also a direct reflection on this and I fin it so cute! I am sure Pietasu shippers has been so happy about this!

But yeah, as a Ryoutasu shipper I like so much your take on her career in the study of ancient alien culture, as I said before I can totally see her and Ryou being the scientific and humanistic side of the same study and I am totally here for her being so supportive in his research and mission, as we've already seen in the anime.
