happy pmd day!! i've been playing through eos this past week and im lowkey obsessed with my team

Considering i had zero plan to draw today anyway, I'd say this was a successful and productive outcome overall lol

I had realized I totally forgot to give Comet a supply pack, so I decided I should do that. And then promptly got 80% finished with the shading before I realized I somehow forgot to sketch the bag even though that was my entire motivation to work on this in the first place :'3

Anyways, at least they're finished now, I've been slowly progressing with the plot/cover in between so that's at least good. There's still a lot I need to do, but I'll get there

i finally came up with a name for my pmd team, and i maaaaaay have gotten a little bit obsessed with them as a result ^^'

Just finished doodling this dork. This is number five of my Fusion PMD team, Ace. He’s going to be that one goofball character that loves to be anywhere as long as he’s with his favorite people.

Nobody will ask me these so I'm just answering them all now under the cut xP

This is about my most developed team, The Wanderers, from my EoS AU.

1. My hero's name is Shay and they're a Shinx. I needed a short gender neutral name and because of their deeds in the story I also liked how the meaning of 'Admirable' could've made sense.

2. The Partner is a Skitty and her name is Trixie. I actually wanted to call a character by that name really badly so when I was choosing the partner pkmn I settled for the one that fits with it the most.

3. The Wanderers quite literally just means that they wanderin'! lol

4. As I stated before hero is a Shinx and Partner is a Skitty; no reason for Shinx but again I wanted a pkmn that fit with the name Trixie and also one that could look a bit mischievous!

5. They are in their early 20s!

6. Relationship is complicated, as in this AU the partner is also a pkmn-turned-human who was the partner/colleague of Dusknoir. In the future, as kids, they used to get along, but Trixie is a troubled individual who's been manipulated by Darkrai, so naturally her view towards Shay changes throughout the story. She ends up despising them even more in the past arc, when they have to travel and live together as an exploration team. Shay feels more than betrayed when Trixie reveals the truth; they used to see her as their closest friend both before and after losing their memory, so their betrayal plagues their mind until much later into their life.

7. If this means with specific characters, I feel like that'd be too long to explain here lmao! I want to talk a bit about Shay and Grovyle's relationship though, as they used to be human & pkmn partners. Specifically I want to say that Shay feels extremely guilty for losing their memory, and not being able to recall anything involving Grovyle. The latter doesn't really push them to remember or remind them things himself either, as he knows how difficult to deal with it must be, but it's always on Shay's mind either way ever since they meet him. They even attempt to comfort him sometimes during their time together, or ask him how their relationship used to be, hoping to be able to get to that point again one day. That day never really comes.

8. Shay's life was pretty rough and they had to go through many horrible things in the dark future along with Grovyle. Without their memories gone, they were certainly less agitated than they are now, although still a bit jumpy and careful of everything. They were and still are very intelligent, they are the one who taught Grovyle many things such as ancient writings and the technicalities of some items, how they are made, etc.

9. No, Shay never does. They think they do at some point, but it ends up just being Darkrai altering their dreams and making him somehow believe that what they're dreaming about are memories. With age they become less preoccupied with not being able to recover their memory, but it's something they find themselves overthinking about from time to time.

10. Shay is okay with being a human, and also with being a Pokémon; this is not the main cause of their concerns. Be it because of how their brain has developed or something else, they do struggle to see other pkmn as 'equals', though- for instance they would never date someone after being turned into a Pokemon because it just feels Wrong to them.

11. Trixie was a fucking menace honestly but I need to go a bit more in depth in the doc I'm writing cause there's still parts I'm unsure about :P

12. Yes they do! And they look much more adult-like in their evolved forms. I still need to draw Delcatty Trixie.
