Moodboard requests can be vague (“can I get a Zim moodboard”) moderate (“could you make a bisexual Dipper Pines moodboard?”) or specific (“would you do a bisexual lesbian Amity Blight moodboard with themes of space and loneliness?”)

We prefer moderate requests because they leave some room for interpretation, but we’ll try to work with whatever you give us!

Userbox requests can be accompanied by specific images, but it’s not necessary. The only thing we require is colour direction if it’s not a character we’re familiar with, but feel free to request fonts or brushes/effects for the border! We use IBIS paint X, so keep that in mind, but we’ll fulfill requests as best we can!!

When I started calling myself an Electra and changed my name from Voxelstrainyard to princeelectra (because I still can't use Electric prince, my name... - -)" ) I didn't even know what a fictionkin was.

From the beginning I felt that connection with Electra that I thought I would cry of joy when I thought about him or the fact that I would put his name and his photo everywhere because I wanted to be called or perceived as him... But I never even thought that was a thing other than my weird "obsession" with StEx. I had dreams where I was Electra, I was in his body or I was with him all the time...

The name "Electric Prince" got in 2022 and when I decided in 2023 ( I think?) I would rebrand my StEx account to be ELECTRA'S account, I had SO MUCH FEAR of judgement. That people would find ridiculous someone passing by a fictional character, that they would find it childish, maybe say that I was faking being a fictive... I had so many fears. Because everyone else said it was ridiculous thinking I was a little, idiot train.

Then, I shyly started to talk with people on discord, and roleplay as Electra. I would talk about my memories as Electra to people, and kindly explain when I was roleplay and when I wasn't. I used to explain my situation as: "I just like to pretend I'm Electra, so I'll talk as Electra sometimes. I don't know why, that just makes me happy and I feel comfortable with it."

Until someone asked: "...Are you a Fictionkin then?"

I was like... "What is it?"

And when I googled it? I started screaming.

"THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT! THAT WAS WHAT I WAS GOING FOR! THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS TO ME!"

The JOY I felt for finally understanding what I felt and knowing I wasn't alone was UNMEASURABLE.

That's what I felt SO HAPPY about that comment.

Knowing that because of me, more people could have the silly joy of being a character. Of relating and feeling like them, and even if for a moment, escaping from reality and feeling truly free from judgement and bad stuff.

I inspired someone! DAMN! THAT IS AMAZING! This means more than any prize, than anything you could give me!

WHEN WAS YOUR FIRST ALTER DISCOVERED ?

Okay, so, as mentioned before, this is not muir first time being plural but in actuality, squid's the only person to remember any previous systems and squid doesn't wanna really talk about it with others because it's a sensitive topic but squid will discuss it with them soon because squid feels like they deserve to know. Anyways, the answer is Ephani/Stephani who was the first headmate to establish verbal contact once before falling silent and using shared emotions/thoughts from then on but wei think he locked in this morning because wei cooked during algebra!! 😎

ANY COLLECTIVE FEARS ?

Not that squid or wei know of? There are definitely common phobias, like ones that a lot of residents have and those tend to be the fear of; social spaces, the dark, insects, heights, and getting sick and the last one actually is part of the reason why wei have a Teri from TAWOG fictive! There are also some less common phobias like Price has one related to war and that's pretty much kept to him due to his source memories.

HOW DID YOU GUYS COME UP WITH SYSTEM NAMES ?

Jesus Christ no clue. "The Data System" was the name of a previous system that they made up because we liked computers and AI stuff and still do. The others were obvious;

The Twitch Chat Subsystem is a subsystem inspired by Twitch and the users you'll find on there and may be actually gaining some members soon!

Poi's Sidesystem is, well, Poi's Sidesystem.

Sidemates is because we coined a term to describe them. It's just side + headmates because they're headmates on the side and don't really identify as being in any system.

The Council is just ominous and is our most powerful so it made sense.

The Normal Sidesystem was just they're supposed to be "normal" which squid mentioned after the second system collapse occured and squid discovered them. They're normal because they fulfill basic life stuff like health, love, etc.

The Nightlight Collective is because nightlights and imaginary friends that stem from plushies just go together well. Also wei kinda have nyctophobia as a common fear and slept with a nightlight until wei were like 10-12 but that changed when wei got a lamp that could illuminate muir entire room. We still associate nightlights with safety, comfort, and childhood!

HOW DO YOU EXPERIENCE SWITCHES AND HOW DO THEY LOOK FOR YOU ?

Okay, so, this is a complicated question because wei have undiagnosed but educated self diagnosed partial DID. Partial DID is the little brother of DID with the most prominent difference is a "dominant personality" that basically cannot leave front without a LOT of work to achieve so and squid splitting from Satus sent squid into front and squid've been stuck in here for a while but wei're working on freeing squid! Anyways, wei instead experience blurring though wei basically don't fully front and instead residents will chill outside or inside the fronting room plus there's the issue of squid being a vessel so squid's pretty blurry! But wei can feel when it's different because wei can feel a new presence/part of an identity is the best way wei can describe it. Wei're working towards full or just partial switches + ofc verbal communication!

EVER HAD A MOMENT WHERE UR LIKE " UH OH I'M NOT ACTUALLY FAKING " ?

Yep. Everytime squid or wei doubt muir plurality, we feel something disagree. Like a feeling of just "no, hazard's wrong" (second person neoprn) and squid's or wei're like "oh yeah, wei literally check like every symptom of partial DID and literally EVERY TIME wei question muir plurality, that feeling returns". Just happens every time and as time goes on, wei really don't doubt muirselves that much anymore 🙃

DO YOU GUYS HAVE A SYSTEM JOURNAL ?

Not really? Squid guess muir system journal is just muir notes in Simply Plural but only two residents actually have notes lol. Maybe muir Tumblr could count as a journal? Wei have posts from around back when wei were a system of 7 and maybe some archive has deleted posts of previous systems 🤷🏻

None of the members in our system who we consider fictives have had that expereince, they'd been sort of "fragments" of personalities who eventually found a character they liked and latched on to in order to justify their existence (for lack of a better way to describe it, since it's still something we're working on trying to understand ourselves lol,) meaning that all of our fictives have a sort of self awareness that, although they do beleive themselves to be that character, there is understanding that it is just a blueprint for them and they don't have the expereince of being plucked right out of their source with all the implications that has...

Although many of our fictives have psuedo-memories, it's more like a D&D backstory or a mythology of sorts, you don't enact it happening but it exists to give context to personality traits and behaviours and whatnot... they do have some impact since the purpose of the psuedo-memories is of course its impact on the individual, but the backstory is also partly malleable, and if something in it is changed it is reflected on the "blueprint" as well...

So like, say you had uhhh... damn I don't know anything abt undertale I usually use sans as a stand in for these examples but I realized I don't know his backstory lol... uhhh... I try to not involve anything we're currently into but idk...

Michael Afton, ok, and one of the big reasons he would end up being chosen as a blueprint is the way he deals with the guilt of killing his brother unintentionally, so that would be an unchangeable part of the backstory, but if later down the line the Michael in the system might go "hey I don't like that I'm the oldest child" he might decide that in his backstory Elizabeth was the oldest child, and that could have drastic changes in the backstory but wouldn't change the main idea of the guilt cope... does that make sense?

I know that identities and terminology has some wiggle room, but I don't know if we're able to keep calling a member a fictive if they are aware they weren't just plucked out of their source media, but it also feels not right to call them fictionkin either, so I'm not really sure what that could be called, and I know most likely the answer is "just call them fictives, who cares"

Idk it's just something I was thinking about since reading that post, and we kinda always had that in the back of our heads that we don't really fit in anywhere, that we're aware our memories are made up for the sake of our narrative and our place in the system, that we don't really feel like we relate to so many posts other fictives or fictionkin make...

due to “popular demand” (aka: two comments saying I should make an intro), I’m gonna do an introduction.

let’s get into it! :3 ~

hiiii! my (full) name is calvin o’keefe, but you guys can just call me calvin or cal, and I’m sixteen-years-old.

for those reading who are ~curious (mwahaha)~ I’m a fictive of calvin o’keefe from the 2018 movie adaptation of the “a wrinkle in time” book series.

my system role: I’m a caregiver/soother, usually i just try and make everyone not panic in scary/dangerous/etc. situations.

my interest are: playing video games (usually with luke), watching movies of any genre, story-building, CATS OMG :33 (and dogs, too!).

my favorite food / meal of the day is breakfast :3 I love toast and eggs! (I <3 random ass fun facts.)

I almost forgot to mention! I’m bisexual with no preference whatsoever (funny, cuz I’m dating two guys lol).

I’m really just kinda a goofball (ew I CCRRRIINNGGEEEEEDDD saying that.), and I love seeing my loved ones happy and stuff! :))

fyi: i’d rather not get into the assets of my source in particular, as it makes me kinda uncomfy.

Terry G. wrote this post on 31 May about how we're mostly walk-ins from various different universes, and about naming them: "I woke up thinking about trying to name and keep track of these universes."

And we've finally done that! The naming conventions themselves aren't particularly fancy, but we've finally gotten around to sitting down and deciding which universes are called what and the specific rules of how to name them.

I started with my own source. Six of us from Metal Family, four from one universe, two from another. Glam, Chive, Lordy and I from MF-1 and Dee and Heavy from MF-2. Glam was the first one to get here, so hxs universe and everyone else from it is 1, even if Chive and Lordy and I got here after Heavy and Dee. We were simple.

The Bistrocule was less simple in terms of what metric we consider in order to label chronological order. I decided to go in order of exomemories.

BH-1 I decided goes for Joey C. Shx only has noemata [knowings and emotional exomemories but no actual memories] but this still counts as confirmation, at least in retrospect, that shx has hyr own home universe and is not a fictive. As Terry G. mentioned in his, Jasmine did arrive alongside Joey C. quite literally holding her hands, however we are unaware of whether or not they share the same exoreality. Regardless, Jasmine can either confirm that she's from BH-1 at a later date or establish her own BH-7 or higher with ease.

BH-2 easily goes to Kandi.kafe. That's Deenie and 5 subsysmates that came with h3r: Pickles, Ruby, Amber1, Spencer and JD.

BH-3 just as easily goes to the Valentine's and MS. Joey V. who immediately brought Amber V. and Terry R. And then Terry R.'s imported subsysmates: Spruce, Emery, Esme, Luna R. and Lucille. There is also Clover in MS, but it formed here, so while its host and subsystem are from BH-3, it alone is not.

BH-4 has the most people from it, with 2 different subsystems. Trick potentially accessed his first exomemories, some childhood trauma, shortly before Joey V. got here, I don't remember, but his subsyscovery was shortly after, so I'm putting it as 4. This includes Joey I. and then Terry G. and his imported subsysmates Clara, Nathan, Wilson and Mikey, and then Trick and his imported subsysmates Jake C, Connor, Sara and Echo. But Coral, Frances, Luke2 and Lucas C. who all formed in Trick's subsystem here are not from BH-4.

BH-5 is for Rosalie.

And BH-6 is for Avery and Joey A. It might include Avery's subsysmates Briar and Levi D. but it does not include Bailey D. or Davis for sure.

And there are several others from Bistro Huddy so there likely will be other exorealities confirmed and labelled in the future.

While the Bistrocule wasn't as clear cut as my own group, it was still very easy in comparison to the Winslow's.

Dionysus/Drea, Luke Castellan, Percy Jackson, Leo Valdéz and Andromeda. You probably recognise at least one of those names. They're all five married with kids and they have a very non-linear exoreality experience.

Dionysus is from actual Greek mythology. Specifically hy is from The Bacchae and even more specifically the story of Pentheus as well as some others. Hy is also one of several hundred Dionysi in the DionySys and also exists in a Riordanverse reality [Mr. D, called Derek, is a different Dionyso].

In ancient Greece hy had a lover. Many, of course, over centuries but we're focusing on specifically a young prince of Thebes whom hy saved once. Hys name is Kyros and Dionysus brought hym here from hys exomemories [the first to do so and many others have done so as well].

In modern day New York, hys primary lover was Luke. They got married, Luke was made immortal, they were very happy together, and then in the year 2044 they both [with Drea taken alone, not with the whole DionySys] were inexplicably taken to an alternate timeline. That timeline is where Percy and Leo are from. And then Andromeda is from another.

Now at first I considered Kyros and The Bacchae as 1, Luke's first timeline as 2, the second timeline as 3 and Andromeda as 4. And the question was how to categorise Luke and Dionysus. Do I put Luke in both 2 and 3, and Dionysus in 1, 2 and 3? Are we counting where they've been or exclusively where they've come from?

I considered having different letters for different specific sources, and connecting them together with either W for Winslow or WC for Wine Cult. WC-Bc-1 for Dionysus and Kyros, WC-PJO-2 for Dionysus and Luke, WC-PJO-3 for Dionysus, Luke, Percy and Leo and WC-HoO-4 or WC-SoN-4 for Andromeda.

But 3 is tricky, because while Percy is from PJO, Luke is from HoO like Andromeda, specifically TLH. Maybe instead of PJO v. HoO and SoN we should just do RR for Rick Riordan.

Also, Kyros isn't from The Bacchae or any preserved ancient literature. Maybe WC-AG-1 instead? But also I don't actually like how bulky the WC makes it and I don't think that others from EPIC or The Iliad in the Wine Cult should join the same lineup. So drop that actually...

Then I realised, wait a minute, AG-1 is RR-2. Just in wildly different places and time periods, but it is the same universe. So even though Drea is the Dionyso that shows up in the story of Pentheus and other stories especially in The Bacchae, the universe can still be classified as a Riordanverse exoreality, therefore the first timeline is RR-1, the second with Percy and Leo is RR-2 and Andromeda's is RR-3.

As for Luke and Dionysus being in both RR-1 and RR-2, we are specifying that they're from RR-1 with continuity in RR-2.

And there are definitely other sources but I didn't name them. They can name themselves if they ever front again but everyone else has fronted before exomemories or may be a fictive but not an introvect, they're walk-ins from other systems in other universes, such as Zara and Zoe or Eros or Cecil. That would be harder to name... if they want them to be named at all, I do know they all come from terrible systems so...

But! I'm very happy about this.

Edit: I forgot Luke also has an imported subsystem o.0 so Nova, Naomi, Lucy and Jack are all also from RR-2

Edit 2: I also forgot Glam has a subsystem so MF-1 also includes Alina.... there's a lot of subsystems....
