Primary Research vs Secondary Research: Definitions, Differences, and Examples
Both primary and secondary research holds a significant place in the researcher’s toolkit. Primary research facilitates the collection of fresh, original data, while secondary research leverages existing information to provide context and insights.

Today, on the last day of school for the kids, one of the Grade 3 teachers asked their class what they wanted to do.
Their response?
"Data gathering!"
They'd been learning about data visualization (how to make bar graphs) and I guess they really enjoyed that unit, lol.
I had a bunch of VERY serious Grade 3s ask me questions for their "surveys" that they came up with.
I found it interesting and cute that one kid listed "Ballet" as a potential favourite sport you could pick from. Another had a survey about animals -- did I prefer dogs, cats, tigers, or lizards?

Just realised I'm actually a published "author". Scientific journal articles back in 2004-2008 but I'd forgotten about them.
Plus I had a short story published when I was 15. Wonder if I can find a copy.

Everyone is always saying to me ‘what’re your sources? show me the primary source you are referencing!’ and so I go back to the man i keep locked in my basement and I beat him with a stick so I can record him saying the stuff he whispers to me in my dreams, but all he does is writhe around moaning until he cums. Useless!!

I wonder how it feels to look up data in a country where it is freely available and doesn't feel like wrestling with god everytime you want to learn something

I don’t think you can say that the rise in fascism and the rhetoric means that there isn’t a decline in the freedom of speech.
That’s what fascism does, it kills the freedoms of speech and censors people.

So I’m still doing my “add at least one song from every country in the world to my playlist” resolution. The Spotify autocomplete function/algorithm in general is really reminding me of one of the reasons I wanted to do it.
Basically if you search for a relatively well off country, first results will be something like “restaurant/tavern/date night music from [country].” Countries with lower GDPs or recent wars or what have you will generally get you podcast episodes about Why is [Country] So Troubled?
And trust me, there’s definitely room for educational content like that.
Buuuut art can be a great way to get past headlines and stereotypes and so on and so forth. So it’s fun to dig a little deeper like … okay, what’s your indie scene? What does your r&b sound like? What sounds do your DJs like sampling? Do you have a metal scene? Etc etc etc. As a species we’re great at making art despite everything.
