Oh Allah how can I be granted a love for the sake of you in the most purest form?
A love for a man who leads me into Jannah, holding my hand firmly and choosing to never let go despite my stubbornness.
A man like Ali رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ who was cold as ice but melted in the hands of the warm Fatima رضي الله عنها
Who was jealous of a simple stick that touched her teeth. Who woke up from an argument saying, “By Allah she is most beloved to me.” Who was the strongest soldier, but needed help carrying his own wives body.
Who stood by her graveside, and said “what is wrong with me standing at the graveside saying salaam to the one who has passed? The grave of my lover but she is not responding to my greeting. My lover why aren’t you responding to my salaam? Have you forgotten all of the intimate moments that were shared by the two of us?”
Oh Allah, you haven’t forbid love in this religion.
Yaqub عَلَْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ cried out for his son, and became blind due to grief. But you did not tell him he’s wrong for loving him, you comforted him and healed his blindness.
You told Musa عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ mother that she’ll be okay, she’ll be reunited with her son once more. And you reunited them.
You made Hawa out of Adam عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ rib. Not from his head to be above him, or his feet to be below him. But, from his side to be equal to him. Under his arm to be protected by him, and near his heart to be loved by him.
You did not harden their hearts, you know your creation.
You don’t tell us that love is forbidden. You reward us when we smile at a stranger. Giving somebody directions is charity.
You yourself are Al Wadood, the most loving.
Love is not wrong, despite what I had believed previously. Love is right when done for Allah, the source of love. Love brings us closer to you, and is only dangerous when you don’t love Allah first. The only marriages that truly have blessings from Allah is the ones where Allah is the foundation of it.
You know the deepest desires in my heart, that whisper despite my voice screaming out otherwise.
How can I love the righteous even though I am not one of them? How can I love good deeds despite the oceans of sins I am drowning in? How can I love the Quran although I am slow in memorizing? How can I love namaz even when I am lazy to stand in prayer?
Show me ya Allah.
So I ask again ya Rab, how can I be granted a love for the sake of you.. in the most purest form?
And I ask you.. my future husband.
Do you know what love for the sake of Allah is?

The Quran gives us many cases of people who act based on their desires or what they feel & want in the moment. The brothers of Yusuf acted on their envy. The wife of the Aziz acted on her lusts. The women of Egypt acted on their haughtiness and spread gossip. The leaders of Quraish & Bani Israel acted on their arrogance. The men of the garden acted on their greed and refused to share their fruits with the poor. Shaytan acted on his envy and continues to be too arrogant to seek forgiveness from Allah. They all share one thing in common: they act from a place of desire. What they do rests upon what they *feel* like doing or what feels good, even if it is wrong. They treat people based on how they feel and what they want. They lack character, consistency, and a sense of self that is rooted in their relationship with Allah.
And the Quran gives us many cases of people who restrain themselves even when it’s difficult for the sake of Allah. Yusuf refuses to acquiesce to the wife of the Aziz regardless of desire. He refuses to seek revenge toward his brothers regardless of their betrayal. He refuses to respond to his brothers’ hurtful comments regardless of his pain. Yaqoub forgives his sons regardless of his grief because of their deceitful scheming. Musa chooses to face Pharaoh regardless of his fear. The Prophet ﷺ continued to preach and prayed for Quraish regardless of the sting of rejection and betrayal from his own people. All these people share one thing in common: the act based on their values. Based on what would please Allah. Values are eternal and feelings are fleeting, so they act based on those eternal truths and take them as a guiding compass.
It takes practice and you won’t always get it right. But clinging to your values will guide you to recognize that you made a mistake and immediately seek to rectify it for Allah. That’s what separated Adam and Shaytan ✨

According to Imām Mālik b. Anas, Jesus, the son of Mary, peace be upon him, said, "Do not speak much without remembering God, for by doing so, you harden your hearts. Surely a hard heart is distant from God, though you are unaware. Do not, like lords, look at the faults of others. Rather, like servants, look at your own faults. In truth, humanity is comprised of only two types: the afflicted and the sound. So show mercy to the afflicted, and praise God for well-being."
(MUWATTA' OF MĀLIK)

Baldwin has my heart still , I could never.
im glad <3 i had some people going off about baldwin being bipolar and dangerous and im like ????? wdym??? he's never treated reader with anything but utmost love and devotion?????
but i also like salauddin because he's like the polar opposite of baldwin as an s/o. salauddin isnt BLINDLY in love with you, he doesnt think youre the prettiest girl- ANGEL to have walked on earth ever (blud he's literally named after prophet yusuf/joseph- who if yall dont know was the most handsome guy ever. women have literally ended up cutting their fingers because they were busy admiring his looks).
But salauddin KNOWS that he's in love with you. To him, love is when your heart longs for a person but you dont know why, love is when your brain cant point out what exactly it is that draws him in and makes u so attractive, love is when all logic and reasoning is out the window because he manages to adore even your smallest actions- your eyes stealing glances, you tripping over your own chaddar, etc. Love is when you're mad/sad and he doesnt understand why he has to be the one to chase your anger away, but he still does make it upto you. Love is when the very thought of you being hurt in any way pains him, even if he knows that you're much stronger than you look, that you wouldnt die from kohl burning your eyes but he cant help but scold u for moving because you ended up hurting yourself. Love is when his heart practically stopped when he lost sight of you for a few minutes in the market. Love is when he calls you an "idiot" but he's looking at you with amused eyes and a soft smile. Love is when he could pray for anything in the world, but he always prays for you.
Perhaps he is blindly in love with u, but unlike Baldwin he cant list out what it is that he loves about you.

Many of us are familiar with the story of Prophet Yusuf (a). His brothers threw him into a well, after which a caravan came and rescued him. The caravan took him to Egypt, where he was sent to prison, released, appointed as governor and eventually reunited with his beloved father.
This story teaches us a lot about how God's plan works and the methods He uses in order to shape our life into a beautiful story. One of the most important lessons to be gained from Prophet Yusuf's (a) story is the time it took to reach his happy ending.
God does not want to interfere with people's decisions and take their freewill away, so He works by inspiring hearts, which takes time. It would be easy to force change on people, but that is not what God wants, for He respects humanity too much to interfere with our ability to choose.
While there may be times where, in moments of temptation, when a person is on the edge of committing an offense, that God may try and help in subtle ways. The door lock jams, the car doesn't start. However even in these cases, God doesn't take a person's freewill away. The person can still persist in their wrong action.
When Prophet Yusuf (a) was thrown into the well, the person passing by in the caravan was struck with an inspiration to check the well. God didn't send angels to rescue Prophet Yusuf (a). No, God works through ordinary, subtle means. It is through the hearts of people that God is able to implement His delicate plan.
In the Qur'anic telling of this story, God is referred to as Latif—subtle in the way He plans. One of the reasons this story is mentioned is to train us in how we look at the world, to teach us how to notice the subtle and delicate planning of God. This planning is not just for the likes of Prophet Yusuf (a) or Imam Husayn (a). It is for every single one of us, we just need to learn how to see it.
It is very important to understand that from the very beginning of Prophet Yusuf's (a) story God had a plan to take care of him. He planted seeds in the hearts of various people who all had a role to play in getting Prophet Yusuf (a) to his beautiful ending.
God implements His plan over a long time frame. Wherever you are in your journey, do not despair. Each chapter has to take its course. Take comfort in knowing that God has a beautiful plan for us, and He works in delicate ways. He will never interfere with our freewill, and so He waits to implement His plan through the decisions made by people. God even turns the harm inflicted by others into our favour. The brothers of Yusuf wanted to hurt him, but God used their actions to take Prophet Yusuf to a higher position. It is important for us to remember that once we accept God's plan, then no one can harm us. Even if they actively plot against us, God will use their actions to work in our favour.

Dear Allah,
I know I cannot compare to any of your righteous servants. My prayer is not like the prayer of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and my tawakkul not like that of Ibrahim. My patience is not like the patience of Ayyub and my gratitude not like that of Suleiman. My forbearance cannot compare to the forgiveness of Yusuf and my certainty in Your promise pales in comparison to his father Yaqoub. But I yearn to be close to You the way they were close to You. I yearn to be chosen by You the way You chose Musa. I yearn to be one of your special servants, to have such a close relationship with You that You may take me as a friend, the way You have taken Ibrahim as a friend. I know my deeds will never be enough to earn me a special relationship with You, so I call upon You by Your mercy. Have mercy upon me and change me until You love me. Change me until I can be among those You honor with the blessing of looking upon Your beauty in Jannah. Forgive my weakness and strengthen me so that I can commit to being better for You. Allow me to taste the sweetness of having a close relationship with You.

When I think of Sabr, I think of Yaqub عليه السلام and the qissah of Surah Yusuf. And I think its because I've always resonated with the way Allah سبحانه و تعالى shows us through his prophet that the method of observing patience, may not necessarily look the same for everyone. Yaqub عليه السلام went blind from his tears of grief, Subhan'Allah, and yet he still carried the purest form of Hope in his heart. He trusted His Lord's Plan knowing his complaints were only heard by Him alone, and even still his grief caused him to lose his own sight. As someone who has always worn their heart on their sleeve I remember feeling so heard and understood when I came across these profound verses. For the first time I felt content with the fact that, feeling things deep within my core and ultimately responding to my body's way of releasing grief, sorrow, loss, pain did not in any way translate to anything other than Sabr. I realised the truth in how our Lord's profound words have not just been preserved to be a book with stories of the past, but rather it is the sole cure to our hearts when this world feels like too much of a burden. It is and has always been our only way of navigating through this world and all it's trials and that is quite literally why our Lord Himself reminds us, "verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest". So for those of you who are struggling with something that no one can truly comprehend the depths of, know that you are entitled to your own way of coping that too without the pressure of someone else's definition of Sabr. And know that your Lord is All Aware of all the turmoils your heart has endured, He knows the sincere weight of each tear that falls from your eyes and ultimately it is He, who shall compensate for them just as He returned the coolness of Yaqub عليه السلام eyes.
Most of all, let this be a reminder that your tears have never fallen in vain 🌷

He turned away from them, lamenting, “Alas, poor Joseph!” And his eyes turned white out of the grief he suppressed. [Surah Yusuf - Verse 84]
قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَشْكُوا۟ بَثِّى وَحُزْنِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
He replied, “I complain of my anguish and sorrow only to Allah, and I know from Allah what you do not know [Surah Yusuf - Verse 86]
But when the bearer of the good news arrived, he cast the shirt over Jacob’s face, so he regained his sight. Jacob then said ˹to his children˺, “Did I not tell you that I truly know from Allah what you do not know?” [Surah Yusuf - Verse 96]

"لا تصنع سيناريو للفرج، دعِ الله يتولّى زمام الأمور، من كان يتصور أن فرج أصحاب الكهف كان في النوم؟ ومن كان يتصور أن فرج يوسف عليه السلام كان بتفسير حلم في السجن، وبذلك أصبح وزيرًا؟ كل ما عليك هو التوكل على الله، والثقة به، وأخذ الأسباب، والاعتماد عليه وحده، فهو الذي يدبر الأمور كيفما يشاء."
"Don't create a scenario for relief; let Allah take control of the matters. Who would have imagined that the relief for the People of the Cave was sleep? And who would have imagined that Prophet Yusuf's relief came through interpreting a dream in prison, and through that, he became a minister? All you need to do is trust in Allah, rely on Him, take the necessary steps, and depend solely on Him, for He manages things as He wills."
