for my first relevant post, i’ll be rating robocar poli ships that i see (either here, twitter, ao3, anywhere), anyways remember, this is only my opinions!

POLROY (Poli x Roy)

you all know this ship, i’d say its the most popular ship on the fandom! personally, i’m inclined to say i like it! a classic in the entire fandom… their dynamic is literally the most focused on in the show…

ROYBER (Roy x Amber)

now i see this one everywhere on tumblr, and i have to say its pretty cute! roy and amber definitely had their moments (especially in that one family episode) and their dynamic is arguably better than polroy

Helly x Droney

this ship exists? they’re confirmed to be children (atleast in helly’s case, droney is similar to him) so i don’t feel really good to be putting them in overly romantic situations (kissing and stuff) but you do you i guess… this is still cute though, liked their interactions in the desert rescue special

I once had a crack ship shipping Poli with a anthropomorphized USA, but we're talking about normal ships here so...

Polroy, Royber, me having a rarepair of Helly & Betty (for some reason my brain matched those two up—ON A PLATONIC LEVEL OF COURSE HENCE THE '&'), and of course Poli/Waffles the food for some reason (human-wise)

One of my thoughts are literally occupied by the RT catching Poli kissing waffles affectionately

Despite being possibly the most popular ship in the fandom, I don’t really like it? It’s kind of a weird way of saying that I like Polroy if it was one sided. It goes both ways. Their relationship is one more touched on in the show, and I think it could work.

This is one of my OTPs in RCP. I heart their dynamic, I imagine girlboss malewife from them. There’s a lot of energy radiating from this ship. They look like mom and dad and Helly is the child. They look like the town’s perfect couple. Sorry for the endless yammering but…

Helly x Betty

If we take into consideration that if Helly was human, I think this ship would be really cute, but very sad. Betty lives in another country, so that means Helly can only talk to her via the internet. They can’t even be consistent because of the timezones. LDR relationship even when young… If they do meet, it would be a great scenario for puppy love instances.

Now I may or may not be the one behind the term "poliamroy", now known to show Poli, Roy and Amber in a polyamorous relationshio, but I just adore these gals.

Although I do like Polroy, whatever ship name will Mark × Bucky have, and Sandber, although Sanber is so far the only one not canon in most of my AUs so far (maybe in (In)Security? And yes, that parenthesis is important)

My crack ships, however, are Carry/Keaton, Truck X/C4L4M17Y (aka a psychopatic and monstrous vehicle...thing...she'll be seen soon on WTPB/P.O.L.I.), and Poli/Amnesia (WTPB/P.O.L.I. is not the only AU of mine that have that ship...shhhh)

For kiddos (mostly Daily Life, but I'm comin' to get the ones shown in the main show like Annie and Jessie...I'm coming to yeet angst and lore at Mach 88 at those who I find >:) /j) I got something going on for the Modfall versions. But so far, the only thing I can tell you is Jenny/Mary because it's both obvious in my designs of them and any interaction I'll show about the AU. Don't worry, none of the ships are sexual, just crushes that can work it out, and the Modfall kids are also teens.

Now don't get me started on this one, especially for Helly. Bro will get all the bitches because of his personality but instead of starting a harem, he just starts a breakfast club that may or may not be plotting the end of the world. /hj

Mostly, it's just gotta be Jin&that gas station girl (using the & and / system of AO3 identifying ships, &=familial/platonic and /=romantic/sexual), the rest of the Rescue Teams unmentioned, also Helly & anyone from outside of RCP, most of the Daily Life kids, and I haven't got into this part well yet.

(Familial)

Oh boy, this is where the lore fuck-ups happen. Depending on AU, it varies A FUCKING LOT, but what is consistent are 1) Helly treating the older RTs as his parents, 2) Poli getting uncle status on any young RT member, 3) and Roy always vibing with any Jin AU's mother.

For WTPB/P.O.L.I., there are a lot of adoptions, and even there will be a future plot point surrounding it. This one is highly confidential, but as I can say here...Jin knows Poli more than Poli knows himself, Helly still have connections to someone in the military he calls bro, and Roy is adopted by a WW2 veteran when he was a juvenile.

For (In)Security, Amber is Helly's foster mother, Helly's bro is...dead, Poli/Price's parents are fucking homophobic cray-cray, and Roy/Rhode got a bad relationship with his father. Jin has a similar role to Tessa, but her parent is still Steve Harrison (also WTPB!Jin's dad).

As for Modfall...shh......

And for that new AU, "Poli"/Mr. Robinson is Harley/Helly's godfather.

If you guys didn't know, ASDIBAU ("ASDIB" will be referred to the in-universe cartoon, ala-70's to 80's, and the one with "AU" refers to this universe) is an RCP AU where a few details are present:

All of Broomstown besides the Rescue Team (specifically the RTs' counterparts) are part of a cartoon show with some sort of plot beats like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood or smth, but is overall a mix of Amanda the Adventurer (missing people and someone in the shows' tapes; also involves the outside world), The Stanley Parable (Narrator shenanigans in ASDIB and things being derailed when the wrong actions are taken), and a bit of TADC (forgetting names and trapping thingy) and likely Welcome Home? But mostly ATA and TSP. Might add Andy's Apple Farm elements but ehh—

If this ever becomes a fic, it will be ASDIBAU!Helly's POV, aka Harley Robinson. Follow him as he tries to get his uncle (Mr. Robinson) out of the tapes the former shouldn't had tried opening, resulting in the ASDIB's Narrator finding someone fit to play the role of the host, "Poli". However, everybody plays by improv to finish the ending of the last episode and it "()never goes right!()"

However, newspapers detailing cases of incidents about ASDIB's production's working conditions, Narrator's treatment towards Mr. Robinson—now having to take on the alias of the role he was forced in—once you view it under his controlling attitude, the unusual codes around the attic and the ones flashing on the antique TVs, the details behind Harley's blocked memories of his parents' deaths, and what his mother's last words are.

• Poli is the more dominant one in the relationship….mostly because Roy is too soft lol

• They’re always together in some way, and know almost everything about one another

• Roy insists on buying Poli gifts, but doesn’t like it when Poli gives him gifts in return

• Started dating around when they first started working as rescue team members. They kept it a secret for a while but eventually told the rest of the team.

• In my au they’re married 🫶

• They’ve always been interested in adopting a kid, but are too busy to take care of one. That, and they don’t want the townsfolk figuring out that they’re together.

• Both them are hella depressed in some way so they’re constantly trying to make the other happy

• Poli loves bugging Roy with terrible dad jokes. Especially when it’s some random point in the night and they both happen to be awake. (Very random too)

• Poli used to have common night terrors, but they now often share a room together, so Roy always is able to comfort Poli.

• Roy often takes Poli out to go stargazing. They usually end up falling asleep together though <3

• Poli is the only one who knows about Roy’s relationship with his family, and why they cut contacts. (I can give lore later if anyone wants to hear abt it)

• They love to cuddle. As much as they hate to admit it, they totally love it.

• In my au, due to past physical trauma, Poli has minor epilepsy and Roy is always there to comfort him. Usually his seizures are rare (and usually short/harmless), there are exceptions, which usually stresses Poli out. Roy is always determined to help Poli >w<

• Poli always begs Roy to teach him to cook whenever Roy is making something for dinner. Poli has always admired his cooking skills and Roy enjoys teaching him!

• Roy is always adding to Poli’s squishmallow collection. A solid 70% of them are from him, and Poli absolutely loves them all.

• Poli likes to take Roy on surprise dates. Whether they’re at the movies, a fancy restaurant, or just playing together outside, it’s always simple and fun. They both end up enjoying it at lot.
