Chaeryeong. Yeji is looking at Chaeryeong. And now, Ryujin is looking at her. No. Gawking at her. Framed by the window behind her and illuminated by the light shining through its glass, Chaeryeong is nothing if not breathtaking. Posted up on the couch in their living room, she seems almost otherworldly. Her eyes are cast forward, legs coquettishly tucked beneath herself. Her lips are a rich red, a shade so saccharine that she’s not sure if it’s from the lollipop in her mouth or from an earlier decision to give Ryujin a reason to kiss her for when she got home – as if she’s ever needed a reason to do that. What really gets to her are the gossamer locks that fall around Chaeryeong’s face. Each strand seems placed almost strategically so, as if she was trying to highlight the curve of her cheeks or the overhangs of her ears. The blonde hair has been a part of their lives for a couple of weeks now and she and Yeji have been quite enthusiastic in showing her how much they enjoy the new look (with Chaeryeong responding just as enthusiastically to the affirmations – both verbally and physically). All of that is wrapped up in a pair of form-fitting leggings and a sweater that Ryujin rates as dangerous as it looks comfortable. The shoulders of it are bare, showing off Chaeryeong’s own – two more reasons and places for Ryujin’s mouth to meet – but the bottom of it is just as alluring. Not cropped per se, but just short enough to reveal a small, tantalizing strip of stomach that begs to be seen more of and touched. It takes a moment, but Ryujin’s brain eventually reboots before filling itself with all the possibilities that an empty house and a full day ahead can provide the three of them. A low hum starts in Ryujin’s chest. She begins to paw at the clothes and skin Yeji has unwittingly offered up to her. Her eyes narrow in and focus on the sight before her, feeling like the beast of prey she’s sometimes likened to. It wouldn’t be the first time she, or any of them, has been compared to a cat. And while Ryujin has never been one to beat any allegations, she always thought there were more poignant examples of her behavior that could be described as “feline.” The videos her dad sends her of Byulie are the first that come to mind. They all start out with the creature parked on top of some table or shelf, just waiting for a way to stir up some chaos. He always finds it too – some unfortunate mug or ornament that was left behind or forgotten. He’ll wait until someone sees him before pushing the object with his paw until there’s nothing but air holding it up. And that is what she wants to do to Chaeryeong. To take this priceless porcelain and turn it into pieces.

ok i should put this out there so people who are following me/my mutuals are aware, or even people who are just passing by and don't know me

i'm chronically ill, diagnosed with psoriasis, an auto-immune skin condition (which i really hate a lot). it's been getting rough for me and honestly my mental state isn't the greatest rn

i'm experiencing a flare up rn. and my skin hates itself so it just decides "hey, i'm gonna fuck up this person's appearance and make them insecure for as long as they have this condition" or something, and usually when my skin clears up, it's still most likely going to come back

so um while you're here, would you mind giving me a few words of encouragement? i kind of need it rn.

and if you know anyone with any chronic conditions, disabilities, invisible illnesses, or anything of the sort, just be there for them and give them support, it might mean the world to them

POLROY (Poli x Roy)

you all know this ship, i’d say its the most popular ship on the fandom! personally, i’m inclined to say i like it! a classic in the entire fandom… their dynamic is literally the most focused on in the show…

now i see this one everywhere on tumblr, and i have to say its pretty cute! roy and amber definitely had their moments (especially in that one family episode) and their dynamic is arguably better than polroy

this ship exists? they’re confirmed to be children (atleast in helly’s case, droney is similar to him) so i don’t feel really good to be putting them in overly romantic situations (kissing and stuff) but you do you i guess… this is still cute though, liked their interactions in the desert rescue special

So, as an upcoming artist and a producer of two big projects (that I KNOW are gonna be bangers) what tips do you have to give when it comes to story writing?

My biggest issue is inconsistency and way too many sub plots (hence the delay of the project iykyk wink wonk), so I'd like to see how you deal with similar issues.

So for Born Yesterday, I already settled on a story focusing on Jin and the way she handles her grief + Taking care of rescue vehicles. To keep consistent, I would highlight the importance of her grief since it’s the focus, then figure out how it would impact the rest of the characters and episodes.

But trully to keep this in mind, I just write it down in a way I don’t forget about it!

My non RCP project (Fly Trap) was a bit more of a hassle to create since I’ve been developing it for nearly a whole year, plus has its own magic system and all. But for this, I basically made the world and system first, characters second, since the characters are gonna be the ones making an impact in the world they’re put in.

Kinda mentioning this since BY and Fly Trap have different writing styles ahaha

But what I would do about the many subplots plus the inconsistencies is to roughly write it all down in order, all the arcs and everything on one sheet, sometimes even sketch out the key scenes of the story (which I did for BY). Once everything is put on paper, triage the scenes that aren’t really needed, the ones that don’t help the narrative or the ones that are a little repetitive. As you write, some ideas might come and others might go and thus you’ll find the product that will make the cut! Mostly how I found mine ahaha

I can’t show the stuff I’m writing cuz secrets /jjjjj

But for the scenes that’ll stand out the most in episode 1 for examples, I have made rough thumbnails of.

Another thing that helps is looking for patterns or recurring themes in those subplots. Sometimes, you can merge similar subplots or weave them into the main plot to tighten the story. And don’t forget to highlight the emotional beats. Pinpointing the scenes that carry the most weight can help you decide what’s worth keeping and what’s extra.

Why not? They’re super sweet and we share some similar interests!! I honestly don’t remember how we met, but I think it was because we were both super into rcp at the time and bonded over that. We may not be super invested in that specific fandom at the moment, they still show me new fandoms and games and whatnot, which allows me to get into more stuff!! :D
