What we’re seeing today in American culture isn’t just political maneuvering; it’s a strategic, well-calculated spiritual takeover.
Jeff Dornik Mike Spaulding, Sam Jones, and Dustin Faulkner
Nov 12, 2024
It’s been happening right under our noses. For years, many of us thought the Left’s march through society was limited to politics, Hollywood, and academia, with an ever-growing influence in our schools, newsrooms, and social media platforms. But this infiltration cuts deeper than most realize. It goes to the very heart of American society—the church itself. What we’re seeing today in American culture isn’t just political maneuvering; it’s a strategic, well-calculated spiritual takeover. And in my book Church & State: How the Left Used the Church to Conquer America, I and the rest of the amazing contributing authors, such as Pastor Greg Locke, Dr Michael Brown and Denise McAllister, lay it all out with unflinching clarity.
Today, we’re witnessing an all-out assault on traditional values, family structures, and even biblical truths. The tactics we see today are precisely what Church & State predicted, detailed, and warned against. Progressive ideologies have seeped into seminaries, influenced sermons, and even redefined how many view “Christian love” and “social justice.” From critical race theory preached from the pulpit to gender ideology embraced in churches that once held tightly to biblical principles, the Left’s grip on the church is tightening. They aren’t just attempting to influence society—they’re shaping hearts and minds right from our pews.
This infiltration isn’t accidental. It’s an intentional strategy with roots that go back decades. In Church & State, my co-authors and I detail how Marxist philosophies, disguised as compassion and tolerance, have taken hold in what used to be the sacred refuge of Christian congregations. We explore the Left’s weaponization of “social justice” within the church, not as a path toward biblical justice, but as a Trojan horse for reshaping the gospel into a tool for societal revolution.

Sophie!
You know better than anyone else that the same story can be experienced in a new and shockingly, eye-opening manner. Through a different set of lenses to explore the Love & Games Universe, a campus drenched in an autumnal glow serving as the perfect backdrop for a worthwhile love to finally blossom can suddenly transform into a harrowing navigation of steel-teethed structures with a thousand eyes threatening to stomp down on an outrageously brave and bold soul's ambitions.
I have yet to finish grappling with all the facets that make up the gems that are your cast of well-established characters. I have yet to conclude my exploration of this city that possesses an enduring heartbeat of its own no matter how many rebirths it continues to achieve. I have yet to tame the onslaught of emotions that mix and mingle like too many drinks sloshing around inside a patron's stomach after a wild night at the infamous bar.
It would take a lifetime and forever to even begin to scratch the surface of this monumental depiction of your love for thought-provoking storytelling. So, to reiterate my appreciation and awe for your impact on my relationship with reading (really, overall, my quality of life), I'm back with another ask. Another opportunity to study how you sketch and carve out a new wrinkle in the fabric of these characters' best laid plans until it cements itself as another fixture in the lesson that this a game still in progress with an infinite number of possibilities and surprises. Not to keep you waiting any further with my hyperbolic turn of phrases— the million dollar question is:
What are each of the characters' favorite books*, and how has that particular piece of literature shaped or redefined the perspective from which they view their world?
*Obviously, not everyone is a sharp-minded, eagle-eyed academic like Back To You's Y/N— so if the character you choose to write for doesn't have the time or an interest in reading, what's their favorite quote from a movie, their favorite lyric from a song, or even their favorite comment under their Instagram post that deeply resonated with the vibes they try to display? And you saw this coming, I can't help but ask, is the arbiter of taste impressed?
Like always, please feel free to apply this to any character you like, as detailed or as broadly as you see fit.
Sending you all the love and support!!! 💖💖💖
here’s what’s in the spotlight right now. the canon. the collection. the stories they gravitate toward—not because they’re pretty or poetic but because they say something about who they are when no one’s looking.
y/n — a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini & little women by louisa may alcott she doesn’t cry while reading. she compartmentalizes. locks the ache into folded corners and highlighter streaks. but this one broke her. she read this when she was about 9 years old and hasn’t ever stopped obsessing over it. not because of the pain, but because of how quiet and unrelenting that pain was. “learn this now and learn it well. like a compass needle that points north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. always. you remember that, mariam.” she wrote it out on the back of a receipt and carried it in her wallet for weeks. not because she needed the reminder, but because she already knew. it felt like proof. a thousand splendid suns made her less afraid of silence.
she read little women when she was a lot older. this book made her less afraid of being loved—not the idea of it, but the vulnerability it demanded, the quiet undoing of a person so used to holding everything together. she went into the book certain she’d find herself in jo—sharp-tongued, ambitious, stubborn about her independence, desperate to prove she didn’t need anyone. and she did, at first. in the way jo throws herself into her writing, in the ache of outgrowing your own life too quickly, in the way she swallows the lump in her throat whenever someone chooses a path she can’t follow. but it was meg that stayed with her. not at first. not when she was younger and thought softness meant surrender. but in the stillness between chapters, she started to notice it—meg’s quiet strength, the way she chooses love not as a fallback but as a fight, as something worth devoting herself to without apology. and that’s what unraveled her. the realization that love isn’t a compromise if you’re the one choosing it. that softness isn’t weakness if it costs you pride, and you give it anyway. it didn’t make her fearless. she still hesitates. still flinches when affection feels too easy, still waits for someone to ask her to shrink. but it cracked something open. made space where there wasn’t any before. now, she rereads little women every winter—not for comfort, but for courage. to remind herself that being held isn’t the same as being contained. and that being loved doesn’t always mean being lost. sometimes it means being found and still choosing to stay. she doesn’t talk about either book out loud. not because they don’t matter, but because they do. too much. is the arbiter of taste impressed? yes. but more than that—he’s curious about the parts she still hides.
jeno — no longer human by osamu dazai he didn’t look for it. it found him. at a bookstore he ducked into between classes, spine worn, title unreadable in the low light. the narrator spoke like he knew jeno’s insides before he did. it wasn’t about the words—it was about the disconnect. about the feeling of being watched, praised, loved for something you’re not sure you are. jeno isn’t dramatic. he doesn’t spiral out loud. but this book made him feel less insane for the mask he wears and the hollowness beneath it. he keeps it on his nightstand, unread for months at a time, then suddenly cracked open again when everything starts to slip. is the arbiter of taste impressed? deeply. he saw the bookmark stuck twenty pages from the end and didn’t say a word.
mark — letters to a young poet by rainer maria rilke mark doesn’t treat books like sacred objects. he lives in them. folds pages, scribbles in the margins, dog-ears whole chapters like they’re meant to be carried. rilke didn’t teach him how to write—he taught him why. taught him that growth isn’t always about movement, that meaning doesn’t always arrive with answers. mark reads slowly, like he’s trying to earn it. he underlined “perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage.” then rewrote it as a poem. not for a class. not for someone else. just for him. he’s been writing his own poems since middle school—tucked into notebooks, layered between physics notes and to-do lists. nothing polished, nothing published. but every time he finishes one, he breathes easier. like something inside him has made space again. is the arbiter of taste impressed? yes. he asked for a copy. mark said no.
areum — gilmore girls she watches it when she’s tired of herself. when she’s tired of performance, of posture, of being admired but not known. it’s not even the show itself—it’s the rhythm. the chatter. the coffee. the fact that everything keeps going, even when things fall apart. she doesn’t relate to rory. she relates to lane. the best friend. the hidden self. the girl who holds so much inside because she doesn’t know if the world can handle all of it. she quotes the show like scripture but only when it’s safe. it’s comfort, not aspiration. and when things go wrong, she starts from season one again, just to remember that beginnings are allowed to be messy too. is the arbiter of taste impressed? surprisingly, yes. it’s basic. they binge watch it together.
karina — ghosts by dolly alderton she bought it for the aesthetic. pink cover. sharp title. took a picture of it on her windowsill with coffee and a candle. then read it in one night and didn’t post about it again. it wrecked her in a quiet, personal way. it made her feel seen in the loneliness she refuses to admit to. the slow vanishing of friendships. the pressure to have everything figured out. the way people think beauty means you don’t ache. “she wanted to be the exception to his rule, not the evidence of it.” that line made her close the book for an hour. karina’s curated, but she’s not fake. she just doesn’t let people watch her break. is the arbiter of taste impressed? he’s obsessed. he calls it taste with teeth.
donghyuck — surveillance valley: the secret military history of the internet by yasha levine he read it on a dare. then read it again. he wants to be a sports presenter—thinks about it all the time, how his voice will echo across games, how people will recognize him by sound alone. but this book made him ask what it costs. how every platform is watching. how media is never neutral. it shook something loose in him. he started noticing who’s listening, who’s profiting, what’s being shaped by what’s being broadcast. it didn’t make him cynical. it made him sharper. made him want to be the voice that interrupts the narrative, not just sells it. is the arbiter of taste impressed? absolutely. he said, “that’s a revolutionary with a mic.”
chenle — the art of war by sun tzu, but he uses it like a mirror he doesn’t actually need the book. he already lives by it. but there’s something hilarious and profound about watching people treat it like wisdom while he weaponizes it like a joke. he quotes it during ping-pong matches. debate club. instagram captions. it’s not about the strategy. it’s about perception. chenle reads people, not pages. but when he wants to leave a message behind, he picks a line from the book, slightly misquotes it, and lets everyone scramble to figure out what he means. he’s never wrong. just hard to decode. is the arbiter of taste impressed? he is the arbiter. next question.
jaemin — meditations by marcus aurelius he doesn’t talk about it. doesn’t recommend it. but the spine is cracked and the pages are lined with tiny pencil marks. he doesn’t highlight—he underlines, like he’s drawing veins through the sentences. stoicism made sense to him before he even had the word for it. the idea of doing the right thing regardless of outcome. of controlling only what’s his. of loving without possession. it’s what lets him be gentle in a world that pushes hardness. “waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. be one.” that’s the line. that’s the one he thinks about when he’s alone and scared and still choosing kindness. is the arbiter of taste impressed? reverently. he almost bowed.
yangyang — a playlist with no lyrics, just audio clips it’s called “evidence.” not in a legal way. in a memory way. it’s filled with audio from his phone—crowd noise, laughter, rain on a tin roof, someone saying his name too softly to be casual. he doesn’t like to read. too much structure. he likes sound. fragments. pieces that don’t try to explain themselves. the playlist changes weekly. sometimes it’s voicemails. sometimes it’s static. it’s his version of journaling, except nothing’s written. just kept. is the arbiter of taste impressed? completely. he said, “that’s postmodern. that’s art.”
shotaro — a video of his little cousin saying “don’t be scared, i’ll hold your hand.” he was having a rough week. called home. she sent him that. and he cried. not because it fixed anything. because it reminded him of scale. of how small some fears are. how loved he is. he watches it when he feels like a failure. when practice doesn’t go right. when people talk over him. he doesn’t need theory or literature or playlists. he needs gentle truths. the kind that make your shoulders drop. is the arbiter of taste impressed? he didn’t even try to be snarky. just whispered, “that’s the softest thing i’ve ever seen.”

Embracing Change Through Creation, Alignment, and Lessons.
Change is an inevitable part of life, a force that shapes our experiences and leads us toward growth. While it often brings discomfort, it also offers opportunities for transformation. To navigate change effectively, we must embrace creation, seek alignment with our values and goals, and learn from the lessons it offers.
Creation: The Beginning of Transformation
At the heart of every change lies creation—the act of bringing something new into existence. Whether it is a fresh idea, a new habit, or a different perspective, creation allows us to redefine our reality. Change often requires us to step into the unknown and build something from the ground up. This process fosters innovation and creativity, pushing us to explore new possibilities and challenge old patterns. Without creation, change would remain stagnant, devoid of the progress that fuels personal and collective evolution.
Alignment: Finding Our True Path
As we navigate the process of change, maintaining alignment with our core values and aspirations is essential. Alignment ensures that the changes we embrace are purposeful and meaningful. It acts as a compass, guiding us through uncertainty and helping us make decisions that resonate with our true selves. When we are aligned, we can face change with clarity and confidence, knowing that each step we take is in harmony with our greater vision. Without alignment, change can lead to chaos, pulling us in directions that may not serve our growth or well-being.
Lessons: Learning and Evolving
Every change brings with it valuable lessons—insights that help us grow and evolve. These lessons often emerge from challenges and setbacks, teaching us resilience, adaptability, and self-awareness. By reflecting on the lessons learned, we gain wisdom that prepares us for future changes. Embracing the learning process allows us to transform difficulties into opportunities for growth. In this way, change becomes not a threat but a teacher, guiding us toward a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
Embracing Change as a Journey
Ultimately, change is a journey that involves creation, alignment, and lessons. It is a dynamic process that shapes who we are and who we are becoming. By embracing creation, we open ourselves to new possibilities. Through alignment, we stay true to our values and goals. And by learning from the lessons of change, we gain the strength and wisdom to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
In a world where change is constant, our ability to adapt and grow determines our success and fulfillment. When we approach change with an open mind and a willing heart, it becomes not a force to fear but a catalyst for transformation.

Embracing Courage: Moving Through Fear
Shaina Tranquilino
June 20, 2024
Fear is a universal human experience, a natural response to the unknown or perceived threats. It can be paralyzing, limiting our potential and preventing us from reaching our goals. Yet, at its core, fear also presents an opportunity for growth and transformation. It challenges us to confront our limitations, redefine our boundaries, and ultimately, discover our inner resilience.
Understanding Fear
Fear manifests in various forms: fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of the unknown, or even fear of success. It's crucial to recognize that fear is not inherently negative; it's a mechanism designed to protect us. However, when fear becomes excessive or irrational, it can hinder our personal and professional development.
Acknowledging Fear
The first step in moving through fear is acknowledging its presence. It's okay to feel afraid; it's a natural part of being human. By acknowledging our fears, we prevent them from controlling us. Take a moment to identify what specifically triggers your fear and explore the underlying reasons behind it.
Cultivating Self-awareness
Self-awareness is key to understanding how fear operates within us. Reflect on past experiences where fear held you back. What were the consequences? How did you respond? Understanding your typical fear responses equips you with the knowledge to better manage them in the future.
Setting Clear Intentions
Define what you want to achieve despite your fears. Setting clear intentions shifts your focus from the fear itself to the desired outcome. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps. Each small success builds momentum and boosts your confidence to tackle larger challenges.
Embracing Vulnerability
Vulnerability is often seen as a weakness, yet it is a profound source of strength. When we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we open doors to empathy, connection, and personal growth. Share your fears and aspirations with trusted friends or mentors who can provide support and encouragement.
Taking Action
Action is the antidote to fear. Start with small actions that challenge your comfort zone. Each step forward diminishes the grip of fear and reinforces your belief in your abilities. Celebrate your progress and learn from setbacks without letting them derail your momentum.
Practicing Self-Compassion
Be kind to yourself throughout this journey. Overcoming fear is not about perfection but progress. Treat yourself with the same compassion you would offer a friend facing similar challenges. Recognize and celebrate your courage, resilience, and determination.
Embracing Growth
Moving through fear is not a linear process; it's a continuous cycle of facing challenges and evolving. Each experience of overcoming fear strengthens your confidence and resilience. Embrace the lessons learned along the way and use them to propel yourself further toward your goals.
Fear is a powerful force that can either hold us back or propel us forward. By understanding, acknowledging, and confronting our fears, we unlock our true potential and discover new possibilities. Embrace courage as a guiding force in your journey towards personal and professional fulfillment. Remember, the path through fear is not easy, but it is undoubtedly worth it.
In the words of Nelson Mandela, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." So, dare to confront your fears, embrace discomfort, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth.

The edge is a start of a new mountain to climb...
I have conquered mountain by mountain to reach the edge. I’m not Nirmal Purja, the world's greatest mountaineer, but I have conquered the edge that accompanies professional growth as an OT, evoking a personal shift that gravitates toward the urge to consume more knowledge, skill, and experience. I close my eyes as I feel my legs start to tremble, giving in to the extensity of mental and physical demands of the degree, to the burning chest with little air to breathe, and my sight failing on me as I see the end so near but yet far.
All aboard! OT enthusiasts, the train is in motion; let the journey take you where you long to be, free your thoughts of the world you once knew, and as destiny unfolds, rising above the heavy storms, flooding derails the route to the top of the mountain.
The edge is calling as I jump into the uncertainties of a young and perplexed student the chaos shouts and fights for its existence. When I started in occupational therapy, I was introduced to the framework of being, belonging, and doing. I have seen the wilderness soon become my home, identifying the commonalities and the installation of hope as I mature and learn in the journey of OT. Why did I jump? Well, the darkness engulfed me whole, fear developing into confidence. Still, through the supervision of my lecturers, and academic advisors, they became my lighthouse, guiding me as I found myself in what OT means to me and the first building block of a future practising professional. The link below to read more on the framework:
Raising the white flag was not in my rucksack as I embarked on the hike toward becoming the therapist I envision becoming. Hesitancy and self-doubt took over, which was implicated in how I carried myself in a session and later progressed to a chasm in treatment planning. Therefore, limiting the therapeutic opportunities to learn and teach the client to achieve treatment outcomes. When I encountered a difficult, culturally centred, unwilling, and egocentric client, I saw the anxiety and poor self-esteem protruding through the façade displaying my personal shortfalls became a great wall in achieving therapeutic goals. Moreover, poor cultural humility due to the lack of knowledge of the core principles in Nazareth Baptist Church contributed to the noncompliance and poor initiation, and cooperation.
The demands of OT motivate professional development and highlight the importance of cultural aspects of what we do and how they affect the quality of care, treatment outcomes and planning. We reside in a culturally rich country that enforces continuous learning, ensuring client-centeredness and a stepping stone to achieving cultural humility without our prejudices clouding our decisions, clinical judgment, and duty.

Belonging entails the prospect of self-actualization, which is comprised of three components: becoming, being competent, and becoming a social being. To effectively participate in active occupational roles, positive interpersonal relationships, and sustainability, you must indulge in introspection and reflection on your own performance, advocate for change, or redefine values. My greatest shortfall was the detachment process becoming a bumpy uphill switchback ride permeated by the power imbalances creating seas of high tides engaging at initial contact. When faced with adversity in an attempt to build a positive rapport I began to redefine the core values and detach from my moral compass to comprehend my client’s choices by not only hearing but listening to respect their right of choice to refuse therapy, and not equating it to my inadequacies.
To connect the dots and comprehend what we do, we developed the understanding of being evidence-based practitioners, rooting out what makes us therapeutic through clinical reasoning. It is the blueprint for what makes us person-centred. My take-home message is to allow myself to not be driven by fear of the unknown, as failure opens doors for growth. Growth can be attained through exploring the knowledge of those before us in literature to take a page that will shape the therapist I will soon be. Read more on evidence-based practice:
youtube
I believe as students we have evolved and inherited the default accountability syndrome, easily shifting the blame on circumstance rather than ourselves. They say Rome was not built in a day; some fell and gave in to the demand, but Rome still stands to this day, indicating you may fall, but dust yourself off and try again.
How would you see the beauty of this world if you were not fighting to reach the top?

Through her work with Dr. Deborah Jacobvitz and Dr. Nancy Hazen-Swann, she identified a critical gap in traditional coaching models: the lack of integration between personal wellness and systemic health.
By combining this research with her practical coaching experience, Dr. Leit developed a model that:
Respects individual complexity
Leverages AI and analytics
Addresses both personal and relational dynamics
Aligns emotional, mental, and systemic well-being
A Framework That Scales with Integrity
One of Dr. Leit’s biggest challenges was scaling a deeply personalized experience without compromising its transformative quality. Her answer? Technology with a soul.
HWH offers:
AI-enhanced coach tools for personalized interventions
A co-branded coaching platform for certified facilitators
Weekly HWH Happy Hours for continuous community learning
Fast-track, ICF-accredited training to empower the next generation of coaches
This thoughtful integration of coaching excellence with innovative technology has helped HWH scale globally—without losing sight of its core mission.
A Message for Today’s Leaders, Coaches, and Seekers
Dr. Leit’s vision isn’t just for individuals seeking clarity or balance—it’s for organizations hungry for culture change, coaches ready to deepen their practice, and leaders committed to whole-system growth.
Her message is clear:
“Transformation isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about aligning with your highest potential.”
Through HWH, she’s created a roadmap for just that—empowering people to rise, lead, and thrive with measurable progress and lasting impact.
The Future of Wellness is Here
With accolades like Executive Coach of the Year 2025 (Global 100) and recognition as a Top Visionary in Wellness, Dr. Lisa Leit is redefining what it means to be “well.” The HWH platform isn’t a shortcut—it’s a compass. A rigorous, compassionate, and ever-evolving guide toward personal and professional flourishing.
And in a time when the world feels more fragmented than ever, that kind of whole-human approach might just be exactly what we need.

The Legacy of Inclinations: Unveiling a Future of Unity, Freedom, and Truth
In the intricate dance of existence, we find ourselves caught between the echoes of past generations and the possibilities of future ones. The intricacies of our inclinations, the threads of our genes, pulse through us, shaping our thoughts, our choices, and even the very essence of our being. These inclinations are not just personal—they are generational. They are not merely instincts—they are the inherited whispers of our ancestors, woven deeply into the fabric of who we are. As we stand at the precipice of a future uncertain, we must ask ourselves: how do we navigate this world, guided by our genetic inheritance, our natural inclinations, and the changing tide of society? How do we ensure that the legacy we leave behind is one of compassion, justice, and a profound respect for life in all its forms?
It begins with understanding the power of our origins—the power of our genes, the legacy of our bloodline. Our ancestors passed down not only their physical traits but also their values, their traditions, and their worldview. It is in the blood ties that bind families, communities, and nations that we find a sense of belonging, an undeniable connection to something larger than ourselves. Yet, in the modern world, we are increasingly detached from this ancestral knowledge. We are caught in the whirlwind of technological progress, modernization, and individualism, often forgetting the importance of the bloodline, the family, and the land that shaped us.
And yet, the more we disconnect from these roots, the more we must strive to preserve the natural world that sustains us all. Nature is not a backdrop to our lives, nor a resource to be exploited. It is a living, breathing entity, and we are its stewards, entrusted with its care for future generations. Our relationship with nature is not just one of exploitation, but of reciprocity. It is a profound understanding that every living being, every organism, is part of a grand symphony that must be protected—not just for our sake, but for the sake of all life on Earth. The survival of species, the preservation of ecosystems, and the balance of life depend on our actions today.
In this rapidly changing world, we must redefine our relationship to freedom. True freedom is not the absence of constraints, nor the right to dominate others. It is the power to express one’s individuality, to live authentically, without fear of judgment, oppression, or hatred. Our personal freedom is intrinsically linked to the freedom of others. Just as we seek to be free, we must also ensure that others are free to live their truths, to follow their inclinations, and to pursue their happiness. It is through this mutual respect, this understanding of reciprocity, that we create a world where all voices are heard, and all beings are valued.
But freedom is not just a political or social construct—it is a spiritual calling. It is the freedom of the heart and soul to express what lies within, to live in alignment with our true selves. It is the freedom to love, to feel, to be without apology. The uniqueness of each person, each soul, is a testament to the boundlessness of human potential. We are not meant to be mere replicas of one another, to conform to society’s expectations or norms. We are meant to be individuals, to bring forth our unique contributions to the world, guided by the inclinations embedded within us.
It is this individuality that lies at the heart of the struggle against hatred and indifference. Hatred thrives when we fail to see the humanity in one another, when we reduce people to stereotypes, to labels, to the sum of their differences. Indifference spreads when we forget that every person, every living being, has inherent value. We must protect ourselves and others from these poisons, not by isolating ourselves, but by embracing the interconnectedness of all things. The fight against hatred is not a fight for power, but a fight for empathy. The fight against indifference is not a fight for attention, but a fight for understanding.
In our quest for justice, we must remember that truth is not relative. Truth is not shaped by our perceptions, our biases, or our personal agendas. It is a universal force, one that exists outside of us, one that calls us to recognize the dignity of all people, to honor their rights, and to protect their freedom. Justice is not merely the application of laws, but the pursuit of fairness, of equity, and of respect for the inherent worth of every individual. We must strive to create a society where justice is not a privilege, but a birthright—a society where no one is left behind, and where all are given the opportunity to thrive.
But this can only happen if we also preserve the delicate balance between tradition and modernity. Tradition is not something to be discarded, nor is it something to be blindly followed. It is a living part of who we are, a repository of the wisdom of those who came before us. Modernity, too, has its place—a place for progress, for innovation, for the pursuit of new ideas. The key is not to choose one over the other, but to find a way to integrate the lessons of the past with the needs of the present. In this way, we create a future that is rooted in the strength of tradition, yet open to the possibilities of the future.
At the core of all these struggles—whether for justice, for freedom, for truth—lies love. Love is not just an emotion. It is a force, a power that transcends boundaries, that breaks down walls and heals wounds. Love is the bond that unites us, that makes us human. It is the ability to see the best in others, to extend compassion and kindness, even when faced with differences. Love is the ultimate form of reciprocity, for it gives without expecting anything in return. Love is what allows us to protect, to nurture, and to sustain not only the people we cherish but also the world in which we live.
In our pursuit of love, we must also strive for the highest virtues—courage, honor, loyalty, and integrity. These qualities are the foundation upon which we build meaningful relationships, whether in romantic partnerships, familial bonds, or friendships. They are the pillars that hold up the structure of society. Without them, we risk losing our connection to one another, to ourselves, and to the world we inhabit.
The task ahead is clear. We must protect our planet, respect the rights of all individuals, honor the diversity that makes us unique, and build a world where love, truth, and justice are not ideals, but realities. We must embrace the complexity of the human experience, with all its contradictions and complexities, and find ways to move forward together. The future is not something that will simply arrive; it is something we must create, one action at a time, one choice at a time.
Let us not forget the legacy we carry. Let us honor our past, not by living in it, but by learning from it. Let us recognize the power of our genes, our inclinations, and our bloodlines, not as shackles, but as sources of strength. Let us embrace the freedom of the heart and soul, the uniqueness of every individual, and the beauty of a world that is vast, interconnected, and boundless. Let us live with respect for all beings, with a deep sense of justice and love, and with a commitment to creating a future that is worthy of the generations to come.

Affordable Senior Housing Options: Restoring Dignity Through Accessible Living
In today’s fast-changing world, the elderly population continues to grow, but unfortunately, their access to safe, affordable housing has not kept pace. For too many seniors—particularly those living on fixed incomes, individuals with disabilities, and veterans—the fear of losing independence or being priced out of adequate housing is all too real. This is a crisis not just of housing, but of dignity.
Hahn March, Founder and CEO of Signal Health Group, has made it her life’s mission to address this gap head-on. Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: affordable senior housing is not a luxury—it’s a human right. And through compassionate leadership and a deep personal commitment to underserved communities, she is redefining what it means to age with dignity.
Bridging Gaps in Underserved Communities
Affordable housing is often out of reach for seniors in marginalized communities. Many live below the poverty line, are without family support, or face medical challenges that require daily assistance. Hahn March understands these complexities not as data points, but as personal stories—stories she has witnessed through her own family's military legacy and the clients she serves nationwide.
Through the Signal Health Group Franchise, she has expanded services that go beyond care delivery and into advocacy. Her organization doesn’t just offer home health and hospice support—it collaborates with local partners and municipalities to identify affordable senior housing options that include wraparound services like meal support, transportation, and personal care.
Veterans Deserve Better
A core component of Hahn’s mission centers on the veteran population. Many aging veterans live in isolation or struggle to navigate the VA system to secure housing that meets their physical or mental health needs. By partnering with nonprofits such as VETS2INDUSTRY, Hahn March and her team have helped connect veterans with housing that acknowledges their service, respects their sacrifice, and provides access to tailored care.
She emphasizes that the transition from independent living to supported housing should never feel like a loss. Instead, it should be a progression toward improved wellness, community, and respect. Whether it’s securing a space in a subsidized senior housing facility or advocating for home modifications that allow a veteran to age in place, Hahn ensures every step is guided by dignity.
More Than a Roof—A Community
Affordable senior housing must be more than just a physical structure. It should foster community, reduce isolation, and prioritize health and mental wellness. Through Signal Health Group’s integrated care model, seniors in these housing environments receive coordinated services such as:
On-site personal care and medication management
Access to senior wellness and fitness programs
Nutritional guidance and meal delivery
Transportation for medical and social appointments
Mental health support to combat loneliness and depression
By aligning housing and care, Hahn creates ecosystems where seniors not only live but thrive.
A Vision Rooted in Advocacy
Hahn March’s advocacy for affordable senior housing is deeply personal. As a Black and Vietnamese daughter of a Vietnam War veteran, her leadership is shaped by both cultural understanding and lived experience. She’s not building a brand—she’s building a movement. One where equity, compassion, and accessibility are not just values on paper but principles in action.
The future of elder care depends on leaders like Hahn—individuals who recognize that systemic change requires more than charity. It demands strategic partnerships, community engagement, and an unrelenting belief that every senior deserves to live with security, respect, and hope.
If you’re passionate about reshaping elder care and ensuring seniors and veterans are never left behind, connect with Hahn March. Together, we can make affordable senior housing a standard, not an exception.
