Exceptionally pleased to report that the wait for Rabbit and Steel to release was well worth the wait. Absolutely fantastic game. Incredible mechanics, beautiful music, and stunning artwork. Easily 10/10, go buy it on steam right now if:
You like bunnies
You like raiding
You like good music
You like indie devs
You like getting a game for less than $15
You like rogue likes
You like being happy
Seriously, its 10% right now. Even if you end up hating it, you only spent $13 and change.

game idea
brain blast incoming
Imagine like a rogue-like like Hades or Cult of The Lamb or some shit like that
But with dating simulator elements
Yes this is basically that one idea jonnyrazer had but I'm expanding upon it
But the story right? It's like, the protagonist is like, half immortal. Like they die, but after 30 seconds, they get revived. And with how long they've been alive, the grim reaper is essentially their best friend. But eventually, they fall in love with the reaper. But they never stay dead long enough to find the words to tell them that. So the whole story revolves around the protagonist trying to find what is reviving them, so they can stop it and confess their love to the grim reaper.
So onto the mechanics. Essentially, its Hades or Cult of The Lamb, but whenever you die, you talk to the grim reaper, and have a chance to try and romance them or try and convince them to give you a buff when you revive. The more you romance them, the easier it is to convince them to give you starter buffs. There is also multiple endings, that you get by making the reaper love you more. While your alive, however, there will be NPCs that you can buy stuff from. But they will try to romance YOU. So you have to haggle with them while trying to get them to understand that you aren't interested in them.
If I ever make it imma call it ByYourSidal Tendencies

I think I realized why I love rogue-likes so much, it's because a lot of them remind of me of beat'em ups, which is a genre I played a ton as a kid. Of course, it's not a one to one, but their fast yet satisfying pace, and the feeling of getting a build that lets you clear out a room in seconds makes the neurons in my monkey brain flare up just like when I managed to hit a combo that let me juggle a ton of enemies at once.

Realized this while playing Dawn of The Monster and got that exact feeling the more I played it. Now I want to play more Beat'em Ups just like I wanna play more rogue-likes.
