brain thinking how toxic codependency the xavier diana and hein will be in her version of the devil ending where she decided to not to break from her own sorrows and chose obedience with xavier as her, well, personal jesus i guess. the man probably manipulated her with both violence and honeyed words and affectionate actions and made it messier by throwing hardened heinrix in the mix too. after all it’s about who holds the power and who is willing to bend first. guilt ridden and blinded diana would choose to follow them both and they all stuck in codependency of very toxic kind of love where no one can leave. this story is probably played out much differently from the main story she has (which obviously happier and slightly less codependent) but i like this version as well.

Personally, one of my RTs is from a feudal world so she's used to basic fermented-grain booze. Fancy space cocktails, where all the sweet extra ingredients mask the taste of amasec, really sneak up on her, so Heinrix has to do Something before she does more damage than publicly declaring love to her seneschal

Do you guys think that at the Magnae Accessio, Heinrix goes, "Oh shit, Calcazar is coming, and the Lord Captain has been drinking all night, this is a disaster", and then grabs the RT and biomances the alcohol out of their system

Reunion . 2024

Commorragh was very emotional lmao I legit cried when I reunited with Abelard.

In my hc, Abelard thought Lĩnh's voice was Quatharina's, and the hands holding him were of his late wife as well.

At this moment, Lĩnh was half blind and her body was broken all over, in addition to the splitting headache and disassociation caused by the worm. She was going to give up, but then thought of her beloved seneschal. At least, she has to know if he is alive before she can die. And if he was here, he'd know what to do. So she pressed on through the pain.

But when they found him, he was completely out of it. She lost him. She was ready to give up with him.

Yrliet was the only sane person here, and thus her quick wit saved both of them.

For this, the Rogue Trader will remember, as she did her betrayal.

I got his "true" romance ending on my first run, which fits the Iconoclast ending best (his true ending doesn't really make sense for the Dogmatic ending) . Decided I'm too cruel and it's too nice of an ending for my RT XP

I'll probably draw stuff based on that ending, but it won't be the "canon" ending for me. Just an... unreachable dream, heh.

His Inquisitor ending is so on-brand for 40K indeed. Besides, my Elena can easily be requisitioned to be his glorified taxi driver anyway ahahah - like many other RTs

So, I've been playing Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader and fell hard for Heinrix. His bittersweet romance ending slide gave me emotional damage. ;_; As a coping mechanism, I'm furiously drawing fanart of him and my RT!

Oh my heavens aren't you just a sweetie, asking me about my fav Sapphic ship... I think about them so often, so this will be my PLEASURE. Clorivia headcanon dump, lets GOOOOO.

~This is the biggest one. Shorter Clorinde. Just a bit shorter, but its very obvious when Navia wears her tallest boots. Even as young girls, Navia was always just a few inches taller. Perfect for forehead kisses!

~During their childhood DND days, Clorinde first started out with a swashbuckler rogue character, but eventually preferred using a bard. Her instrument of choice was the lute. Navia would get a kick out of seeing Clorinde try to rizz up traders and shopkeepers with her bard-ish charm.

~Navia and Clorinde prefer tea and cakes, but on occasion, they'll share some cocktails or wine. Navia is a giggly drunk, but she can hold her drink better than any of the men in the Spina di Rosula. When Navia starts laughing at even the most unfunny statements, Clor knows its time to take her home. Clorinde on the other hand is a huge lightweight. She's very affectionate when she drinks, often forgetting about the rest of the world and starts babbling out lovely sweet nothings and risky touches that turn Navia as pink as a rainbow rose. After just one glass, Clorinde starts smiling like an idiot, asking Navia to sit on her lap.

~Clorinde and Navia love to exchange flowers with one another, even before they became romantic partners. Clorinde loves to leave flowers for Navia in private during their candlelight dinners, never getting tired of the infectious giggle and smile she is given in return. Navia prefers to gift the bouquets in public, especially at work or in front of friends. Clorinde blushes like crazy and puffs her cheeks up while everyone stares. (Navia knows what she's doing)

~While Clor does prefer more neutral/muted clothing when off the clock, she will rarely dress up when Navia asks her nicely. She even allowed Navia to drag her to Chiori's Boutique for a big poufy dress with ribbons and pearls. She only groaned just a little. (She secretly enjoyed it. Only that one time, though.)

~The whole "my lipstick would look good on you" thing is very much a love language between Clorinde and Navia. If someone pays very close attention, they would see the peachy pink blush that adorns Navia's round cheeks is sometimes very softly brushed over Clor's cheeks. At times, the familiar smell of Clorinde's cologne will fill the room, but instead it is Navia you find there instead. And Clorinde is often found fiddling with pearl earrings that look a lot like the ones Navia wore last week! Sharing is caring!

~Navia spent a lot of her childhood dancing with her father, balancing on his tip toes while rocking side to side. It got her in the habit of asking Clorinde to do the same. Tiny Navia would offer her hand like the gentlelady she is and Clorinde would accept awkwardly and they would share little girl tip toe dancing, but this time, Navia would lead, letting Clorinde use her feet to balance as she twirled them as her father taught her. Now as adults, the women still love dancing together, but in private, Navia tugs Clorinde onto her feet, letting the tired champion duelist wobble back and forth.

~Wriothesley was the first person Clorinde (accidentally) confessed her feelings for Navia to, after the "incident." The two spent a lot of time together and he could tell something was wrong, especially with how often Clor wanted to spar. He saw how she threw herself into the fights recklessly, leaving herself open with every turn. He pressed her on the issue mid-fight and thanks to adrenaline, exhaustion from the lack of sleep or maybe just grief, she blurted out her "unrequited" feelings for her childhood friend. The fight was quickly stopped and the talk was continued over tea. He's good at keeping secrets.

Spoilers for act 5 of Warhammer 40k: Rogue trader!!!!

So, the scene with the different versions of the RT right? I'm not quite sure what the lore reason for the sudden merging of realities was, but I'm not complaining just to be clear. I went Iconoclast for my first run, so maybe you get different versions, depending on which path you take. But the Glorious version???? She's living in my head rent free. Just imagine, you get pulled out of your own life abruptly and are thrust into the position of rogue trader of a burning protectorate, while all the people who could have supported you along the way are dead. You're on your own, at best people fear and/or respect you, at worst they want you dead or to use you. And still you manage to put out all the fires and even come out better for it at the end, of course you'd develop a massive ego. You're still alone, you have no true friends to speak of, but you clearly don't need them. All this you managed on your own. Then suddenly, on your way to claim your biggest trophy yet, you're confronted with three different versions of you. The kicker? You're the only one standing all alone. Look! There's the people you saw die, that left you to fend for yourself. One of them has a whole squad to back them up! Even a full on heretic at least has one person with her. Among the big group, one of them sneers at you and calls you the epitome of everything detestable about Rogue Traders. The version of you with the big retinue looks you in the eyes and tells you she pities you. (I have a hc that my rt is a really sociable gal, so this hits extra hard for the glorious version, even if she tells herself she doesn't need anyone). How dare she?! She should be grovelling before you. She needed all those people to achieve the same things you did. Of course you agree to kill her first. And then... And then of course you're defeated, because you were outnumbered from the start, because here you can't hide behind your glory and riches. You die on the cold stones of a reality that isn't even your own, at the hands of those that call every version but you, friend.

Xavier, Diana and Heinrix hc stuffs because i can’t stop thinking about them

i have a lot of thoughts about their dynamic especially the question that was raised about if xc use seduction along with his thinly veiled threats and outright power play, what then? tl;dr version is something above. i like em toxic and angsty.

the game of push and pull is what will happen, xc is not a person who shy about his intentions, it’s clear to diana what he wants, what he’s willing to offer in return. the man said before that he didn’t know much about her because theodora hid her (one of the heirs she didn’t even consider to take the title) from him. now he knows what he’s dealing with, of course he will looks into her past and use her weaknesses against her. xc knows what to do and what to say, knows where it hurts and how to be the hands to heal, offering salvation with sweet promises.

it’s not hard for him to look through diana’s mask when he had reports about her from heinrix and from the interaction she had during her magnae accessio. he could have been here even before the ceremony started and not to mention his other acolytes too. she’s uncomfortable in the responsibilities and position thrusted upon her. she played her part well with how she carried herself and how she has been dealing with her title, but xc knows that he can easily pry that mask off of her. make her dance to his tunes whether she wanted to or not.

the conversation in her bedchamber had him exerting his power over her, the risk of of her entire protectorate if she decided to go against him, but he also offered her peace and protection, the promise of ‘she only has to do what he told her’, that there’s no need to carry her burdens on herself alone when she can just trust him and let him steers her the way he wants. something diana craves ever since she lost her personal guiding hand from her past, the guilts from her past that her uncontrollable power caused death of her allies and enemies alike, feeling of inadequacy and insecurity will go away if she let herself lose in him.

of course diana knows xavier is bad news. she’s already uncomfortable how he picked at heinrix’s wounds in front of her, trying to create rift between their relationship with his words and of course he knew what’s going on between her and heinrix. she hates how xc used it against her, hates that he has power over her and hates herself even more when tiny voice in her head told her she should just let him take control, to take an easy way out he offered. being rogue trader is when she got power that enough to make a change but the road to change is long and hard and sometimes she can’t continue being ‘the lord captain’ anymore. she felt alone even more. despite the bond she tried to form with heinrix that she believes in there’s still trust issues between them (and it’s worse with the psychological and physical torture she endured after bdsm city), she swayed by the old man empty promises not more than once and will push him away just to come back to him for more false assurances.

heinrix is caught in this messy situation (that’s not even love triangle because diana or xavier don’t have kind of feelings for each other) because his heart decided he cared for the girl who showed him human decency and unintentionally saved his soul. he values the connection between him and diana, being the broken mess that she is she still try her best to be there for him despite on the verge of collapsing every day herself. she’s willing to learn about him, willing to listen and showers him with kindness and empathy but they both guarded some parts of their life and past to their hearts. he’s still loyal to his mentor, still knows that eventually his duty will come between them but he’s willing to risk everything. the fact that xavier stepping in and start playing with diana’s head like he did to him before made him feel even more powerless. in the end after he made up his mind about what he should do, he can only be the part of whatever game xavier is playing, or become the complicit in this game too.

both because their relationship is very interesting to me, and during earlier acts einrich is one of the three people (alongside idira and vigdis) that laz is genuinely fond of

hc + 👪 for a family-themed headcanon

Woo, alright! I’m gonna give a couple since I can’t decide easily:

Daddy issues are concerningly common among the children of the Primarchs once they grow up. Even the decent fathers like Sanguinius and Lorgar lead to some daddy issues in their children (*especially* Sanguinius, considering his legacy).

Leman doesn’t know who the mother of his children is. He found his children (Amarok and Ashina) straight up just plonked in front of the Imperial Palace wrapped in a wolf’s pelt and adopted them.

Lorgar has one of the most stable marriages of the Primarchs. He got married to a woman named Elena around 20 years before the burning of Monarchia, with this marriage eventually leading to four grandchildren.

Many of the Primarchs’ children, though they do love their dads, are more attached to their mothers. The Primarchs can often be gone for months at a time; hell, for the four or so years between when Corvus’ first wife Ramona died and until he remarried to his current husband Ambrose, his children were being raised by staff in the Imperial Palace on Terra.

Speaking of Corvus, his first wife was a powerful Rogue Trader, Ramona Kane. She died in childbirth giving birth to their youngest daughter, Ruth, and because of this Corvus makes sure to renew the Warrant of Trade for her family when needed. He met his current husband Ambrose during negotiations when bringing a peaceful world into the Imperium, as Ambrose was the scribe meant to record the meeting for historical texts.
