It was early in the morning, waking up to the feeling of someone’s limbs sprawled out over your chest. You mumbled sitting up and seeing Ron’s soft red hair make a mess on his pillow, his body thrown over yours. You looked at him with a little laugh as you moved his arm off your chest, putting it over his own chest.

“ron get up..” you mumbled, standing up from his bed and stretching her arms above her head. Ron completely ignored her as he snores quite loudly. “my Merlin your gonna be the death of me.”you huffed slipping on a pair of slippers and walking into the kitchen where Molly started making breakfast.

“oh good morning dear! I’m almost finished making Breakfast, would you be an angel and try to wake up Ron? He’s quite impossible to wake up in the mornings” Molly teased as she faced you. “good morning Molly” you smiled at her. “But of course, I’ll try” you laughed a little and walked back upstairs into Ron’s room.

As you walked into his room, he sprawled even farther on the bed, his arm on each ends of the bed, as the same with his legs. Practically looking like a starfish. Then again another merlin-forbidden snore left him. “Ron get up!” you said as you poked his chest. Ron didn’t even respond, instead he shoved his head into his pillow, snuggling up into his blanket and pillow. “ron my merlin get up..” you huffed, shaking him awake. “bloody hell what do you want?” Ron grumbled as he sat up, a pout visible on his lips. “for you to wake up. your mom is cooking breakfast so she wants you up” you yawned as you sat down, kicking off your slippers and sat beside him. Ron huffed and sat up beside you. “well good morning to you too you big baby” you huffed. “dont call me that.” Ron mumbled, turning to face you. “fine, I won’t just wake up please?” you asked with a fake pout. “I am up.” Ron mumbled. “my jeez your so dramatic Ron.” you rolled your eyes as you moved your head a little to face him. “shut up.” Ron mumbled.

“now do you want to go downstairs?” you asked, a little smile appearing on your lips at his pout. “no. I don’t feel like taking to them right now. It’s to early..” Ron huffed dramatically as he laid down once again, but his arms wrapped around your waist snuggly. “im not going anywhere Ron..” you huffed a little, your hands finding themselves lost in his red hair. “that feels nice..” Ron mumbled as he laid his head in your lap. “go back to bed…” you sighed, knowing he did this every morning when he didn’t want to wake up. you’re anxious as you walk into the shop, but you know you have to do this. it’s been years upon years since you’ve wanted this specific piercing—ever since you turned eighteen to be exact. you called on one of your breaks at work, asking if the tattoo shop did nipple piercings.

the kind lady connected you with the shop’s piercer—who to your surprise was a man with an english accent. after telling you the price, he asks specifically for cash. when you see the exact cash amount in your wallet, you figure it’s a sign. anytime that you plan in advance for any kind of piercing or tattoo, you lose the confidence of going nearly the day of—so it’s now or never.

when you walk in, a girl with bright pink hair looks around to see if anyone was available for a walk in. most of them were half asleep, and you feel bad for waking them up from their naps—but they don’t seem to mind. you’re surprised that they aren’t busy on a saturday evening, but a brunette man with round glasses stands and stumbled to the desk, ready to ask what tattoo you have in mind.

“um… hi… i called earlier um a-about… about nipple piercings” you stammer shyly, unable to hide the blush growing on your cheeks.

he wasn’t overly muscular or large, his small amount of tummy pudge peeking out as he stretched his arms high above his head, revealing more ink lining his torso.

“oh no, don’t worry… i’m surprised you guys aren’t more busy tonight” you say, and he nods in agreement as he grabs the papers.

“i know, i was thinking the same thing” he chuckles, grabbing a pen. “i just need you to initial and sign this paper and then i need your id” he tells you, handing the paper and pen over to him. you nod softly and do as he says, passing over your id and scanning over the paper, initialing each line.

it isn’t long before you’re done and he comes back up to the front, leading you to his small section of the tattoo shop. “go ahead and sit right there” he nods, pointing to the tattoo chair as he looks over his tool tray and all that he has. you sit down in the chair, making yourself comfortable as you take your bag off and adjust yourself.

you learn quickly that ron isn’t much of a talker, but thankfully neither are you. he already has his tray set up, asking you a few quick questions as he moves everything over towards you. “so… obviously i don’t have a privacy curtain, i’m sorry about that” he blushes a bit as he finishes washing his hands. “If you just… bare with me a bit” he chuckles nervously.

he looks around his small station, noting that it’s basically out in the open. he’s a sweet man, you learn quickly, so you smile at him. “that’s alright” you reassure him. you wiggle a bit in the seat, still slightly anxious. “i’ll be fine” you nod, more so assuring yourself than him this time.

“go ‘head and take off your shirt, and then if you can just pull down your bra for me” he nods, turning around towards his desk and getting a little care package ready for when you go—wanting to give you at least some semblance of privacy while undressing.

when he turns back around, his cheeks tint pink as he looks first at your boobs then up at you. “you can just turn and face this way” he nods as he rolls over in the small circle chair. you do as he says and face him just as he turns to his tool tray. though he doesn’t have a privacy curtain, he uses his large body and broad shoulders to cover your breasts from the other piercers and the large windows—there were no other patrons in the shop besides you, so this made you feel incredibly at ease. “have you had your nipples pierced before?” he asks.

“alright, i can do that” he nods. “i’m just gonna clean them, and then i’ll mark them and show you, and after that i’ll do the piercing” he informs you, and you’re nodding along with each thing he says. once you’ve gotten the nitty-gritty out of the way, you keep your head down, watching his arms and his body as he works. “do you have a preference of which one you want me to do first?” he asks.

“i know, i’m sorry” he murmurs softly. “you’re doing so good, we’re almost there” he whispers. just as he says that, you feel the needle poke through the other side, and you let out a sigh of relief. your relief is short lived as he pushes the jewelry through the new hole he just made in your body and another high pitched moan tumbles past your lips. “there we go…” he says softly, gently rubbing your side. “i just have to screw this in and then i’ll move on to the other side” he tells you as he grabs the ball end of the jewelry.

“yeah of course!” he smiles as he turns to look at you. “are you lightheaded?” he asks, walking over to his mini fridge. when you only hum and nod in response, he hands you a capri sun and a pack of scooby-doo fruit snacks. “here… sugar will help” he tells you. he sits in his chair as you pop open the capri sun, now done cleaning. “eat the fruit snacks. all that sugar will help.” he tells you softly when he notices you only drinking the juice.

you nod lazily, squinting your eyes open as you make a small rip in the package. “yanno usually i’m paid to see my tits, not the other way around… and you didn’t even compliment them” you sigh, your head still spinning a bit as you smile lazily. you bite back a giggle when you imagine the blush that you definitely know is coating his cheeks.

his only response is a chuckle, and you think that’s the end of it until you’re checking out and paying him—now ready to actually stand straight and be able to drive your car. as you hand him the money, he gives you a care package, a cute sticker, aftercare instructions, ointment and alcohol wipes, a lollipop, and a blank card with his name and number. “text me a picture when you have the gauze off so i can make sure they look alright… maybe then i’ll compliment them” he winks slyly.

RON TURNS TO COOKING AFTER THE WAR . . .

i saw a headcanon once about how ron and harry are probably great cooks and hermione isn't and yk what it changed my life

ron weasley looks at home in a kitchen, and he doesn't know why it comes as a surprise to everyone. he grew up with six siblings and a mum who couldn't do everything herself. plus, with an appetite like his, it just made sense he pick it up.

ron turns to cooking after the war. while his friends dive headfirst into politics (hermione well on her way to be minister of magic) and more fighting (harry becomes an auror almost immediately), he finds solace in the hogwarts kitchen as head chef. there's a sort of special joy, a type of happiness unreplicated elsewhere, found in seeing little eyes light up and smiles grow at the sight of a warm meal he's made.

people talk, and ron sees confusion at every turn of his life (on the face of his friends when he first announced what he planned to do, in his family when he returned to hogwarts, and even with reporters who were at a loss of words). but he's spent most of his childhood at the forefront of a war that shouldn't have come to what it did. he didn't have a choice in fighting then; it was what he had to do. but now? in the aftermath of it all, ron didn't want to draw anymore blood. he'd already lost a brother and far more friends than he could count. he'd been grieving since he was 14, but as the world began to quiet, ron didn't know if he had any more fight left in him.

so he cooked. he baked. he created. ron had always been shoddy when it came to healing. it felt clumsy coming from him—the wandwork and words. hermione was better. harry was too. but he always thought food healed the soul—it healed his.

and sure, he supposed he could have become an auror like harry did or help george out at the joke shop or even find another ministry job like everyone else, but ron wasn't interested in picking up the wizarding world's broken pieces or chasing down final loose ends. he didn't want to spend the rest of his life reminded of the worst of humanity. he wanted to get better. he wanted to feel human again.

and ron felt human when he was tempering chocolate for dessert (smiling at the thought of how he met his best mate, how harry was so willing to spend all he had on shared sweets for some kid he didn't even know) and dicing onions for minced pies (thinking about his first day at school, amazed and overwhelmed by his first hogwarts feast) and peeling potatoes for dinner (remembering his first christmas with harry and hermione, the innocent laughter that befell them before things got so complicated) and mopping the kitchen after all the day's meals were done (holding back his laughter when he heard from the elves that him and fred couldn't possibly be related because fred was a shit cook and mixed up mayonnaise with paste once).

I love that theres so many headcanons of Regulus taking care of or hanging out with literally every marauder kid. Like yeah in a perfect world where Regulus ended up living with the Potters and reconnecting with Sirius, he is definitely everyone’s favorite uncle.

He was basically a third parent to Luna and his favorite thing in the world is to spoil her. He picks her up from school all the time, and always takes her to the aquarium when she’s nine and has become obsessed with fish. Draco grew up hearing bad things about Regulus and Sirius, but when Narcissa introduced them, he thought they were the coolest ever. Regulus sees a lot of himself in Draco and tries to help the poor kid out. Teddy grew up with Regulus as a constant presence because of Sirius, and adores him. Regulus always talks to him about art and helps him with his art and encourages him. Harry’s real favorite is technically Sirius, but Regulus is a close second. Harry’s ten when everyone wonders where he is getting this insane sass from, until they make the connection with how much he sounds like Regulus. Harry also thinks it’s so cool that Regulus was so young when he became a star seeker, and Harry and Draco talk to him about quidditch all the time.

Also when Harry starts bringing his new friends round over the summer, Hermione takes to Regulus very quickly because he seems the smartest. Ron does not like Regulus much at all.

confirmed he was aroace when he was playing truth or dare with his gryffindor buddies (because hugo is definitely a gryffindor) late at night and got dared to french kiss some guy. after he had to flee the scene and brush his teeth out to get that gross taste away, and yeah, he had his suspicions beforehand but this basically confirmed it. and every time he recalls the feeling of kissing someone like That he gets this thousand yard stare on him… one would think hes having war flashbacks….

despite not wanting to get married like That, he wants to be a dad when hes older. He has a list of baby names on his notes app (or wizard equivalent), but they’re all shitty things you would name an oc or a sim, not a real person. shit like “ebony” or “crystal” or “axel.” he showed his list to lily luna once and she laughed and called them stripper names so he got mad and kept it very secretive from then on.

is a vegan. it started as a joint pack with hermione (ron and rose said “fuck no”) but hermione caved after six months because she cant stay away from coffee. hugo persisted though

is the only one allowed to ruthlessly rip into and bully the shit out of rose. im not kidding, her parents cant even do it. theyre too scared. meanwhile hugo will walk past her in the hallway and say “oh you look uggo today” with a deadass straight face

thinks about moving out one day and having his own family and thinks about rose moving out and having her own family and how that family will be her primary family and he will be secondary family and how they will have to leave their parents one day— he instantly breaks down into tears. hes just a baby bird guyz plz!!!

does not have any parent hes closer to. ron spoils him more but also scolds him more. hermione rewards him less but lets him get away with more. it balances out.

very close with lily luna so when rose and albus had their falling out they just gossiped about it the entire time. lily would tell him how albus cried for three hours straight during lunch and hugo would tell her how rose started to fixate on their shower and started deep cleaning it the muggle way at four in the morning like she was possessed

is james’ godbrother but keeps forgetting it 💀

not bad at quidditch but never took a huge liking to it. likes watching more than playing and just agrees with whatever his dad’s opinions are on the teams (indoctrination)

able to cast a patronus before rose learned which had her tweak out a lot.

WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH PTSD THE GOLDEN TRIO/EVERY WEASLEY KID/ALL THEIR PEERS WOULD HAVE WHEN RAISING THEIR KIDS???

Like seriously- I NEVER EVER see it. It's all how lovely life would be, the peace, how they could finally live a comfortable life- gurl what??

Harry, Ron Hermione were 17. Do you remember being 17? Yeah, take that mindset and imagine going through a goddamn war, one that alllll revolved around you/your best friend succeeding and if it didn't happen, there would be a dark age like no one had ever seen.

⚡️Harry would keep having nightmares, probably forever. There would probably be days where he laid in bed, unable to move due to the consuming guilt and/or depression which would just add more guilt and depression when he got out of it as he left Ginny to care for their kids and would wake to figure out he missed out on core memories of his children. Sometimes, desperate to see him, James, Albus and Lily would just lay there with him in silence. They witnessed their father go through periods of being totally present, totally happy and then he would randomly just look into the floor as if he was no longer there- his flashbacks were always quiet.

💫Ron, I feel, might end up going through substance addiction to deal with the loss of his brother coupled with moments of anger or just random, unjustified annoyance- the same goes for George and this would extremely strain their romantic relationships. He would most likely have flashbacks of countless moments of fear, would hear Hermione's screams at night, would see his brother's dead body upon that stone ground. Rose and Hugo felt so loved by their father, but also aprehensive because at any moment, his mood could switch.

🌙Hermione would have phases of constantly putting herself into intense moments of focus- her work, the kids, anything to keep her mind occupied out of fear those random moments where her arm burned or the memories of her husband spliced would return full force. She would eventually breakdown, her mind strained due to always, all the time, trying to ignore it all. Rose and Hugo witnessed this constantly- one minute she's fine, the next she's sobbing on the floor and Ron was barking at them to go to their room so they didn't have to be there for it, so they could leave him to console her.

☀️I feel like Ginny remained strong for her siblings, parents & Harry after the war to a degree that she ignored her own emotions and turmoil. Entirely. And then, finally when James was born, what was only supposed to be a flicker of post-partum went full fucking swing due to the fact she bottled everything inside for roughly 6 years straight. And it was bad- Harry was left caring for a newborn and his wife that couldn't move, eat, or bathe on her own. She was probably the only one of them besides Hermione who got proper therapy- the boys being too stubborn. When shit was better, she found herself going through these phases of dismissive attitude towards all her children, her PTSD coming out more in anger, probably similar to Ron and George. But she was especially this way to James- because she couldn't bear to feel the guilt about not being there for him upon his birth, she tried to ignore him entirely at points until she finally realized what she was doing later on.

Then there's everyone else- they would be so fucking destroyed by what happened like??? And their kids would have to watch it- they would grow up with parents riddled with PTSD, an entire generation that had the people raising them be torn from war; some that were able to move past it, some that weren't, and some that were always somewhere in the middle.
