The basics of gun safety are easy. Simple. Never look down the barrel, never point it at something you’re not planning on killing, keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.

Thus, it is reasonable to say that it’s a liability to have a loaded weapon with a hair-trigger. This is the argument Sentinel receives over and over whenever his bodyguard is mentioned.

(Though, to be fair, B was ‘the weapon’ or ‘the project’ for a long, long while. Airachnid was the one to suggest calling him a bodyguard— it’s softer than ‘weapon’, with the connotation of protection and defence rather than something meant for war.

It’s a good thing Sentinel is adept at lying, because B-127 is absolutely meant for war.)

He stands in his throne room, overlooking the city. It’s a quiet night, the sounds of flying muted through the thick glass.

He has a problem. A rather large one, at that. Someone has been getting into the Archives, bolder and bolder than before. Normally he’d leave it to his guards, but it kept happening. Incompetent morons. Even worse, they’d managed to breach the upper levels, meaning the highly classified information Airachnid had been so long suppressing was in danger of being leaked.

Despite how Sentinel’s more impulsive side languished in the boredom of Iacon now, he knew better than to go in guns blazing as a Prime. This is a delicate situation. It needs to be solved quietly, without a fuss. 

In the dead of night, he whistles a short tune.

If Sentinel wasn’t listening, if he hadn’t trained the mech behind him up, he wouldn’t have been able to sense the additional presence in the room with him. He must have dropped from wherever he hid, Sentinel’s advanced scanners unable to ping him.

“Sir?”

He turns to address his mech. The moon glints off yellow armour, reflecting Sentinel’s face back at him from B’s visor. “I have a pest problem that needs eliminating,” he responds, smooth as ever.

B’s helm tilts. “Of course.”

“Someone’s been breaking into the Archives. I need you to find them and dispose of them, quietly.” Sentinel stresses the last part— sending the people into a panic wouldn’t do. B hasn’t messed that up since his early days of training, though he still emphasises it.

“Of course,” B says, looking past him and out the window, surely to where the looming shadow of the Archives lies. “Shall I begin now?”

“The sooner, the better. This will be no problem for you, I presume?”

“Of course. Newbuild’s play.” B gives him a sharp nod before lowering himself to the ground and jumping back up onto what he assumes to be a ceiling beam. No matter how many times Sentinel watched, he still catches himself in mild awe at how easily B can do that.

(No he hasn’t tried to, shut up.)

Sentinel lets out a pleased hum. One less thing to worry about, then. The job’s as good as done.

Rover x Scar and Rover x Jiyan are such extremely contrasting ships.

Rover x Scar has got all the elements of a dark romance while Rover X Jiyan is all the elements of a butterflies in your stomach type of romance.

Jiyan would build a world for Rover while Scar would burn the world for Rover.

Jiyan would be oh so protective while scar would be deliciously possessive.

Jiyan would appeal to Rover's need for security, trust and stability while Scar would appeal to Rover's need for adventure, thrill and curiosity.

the scene with solas right after you choose which city to save is full of the most vile anger saar has felt in,, probably his whole life, actually. his helplessness, his grief, his pain, his anger- it all gets thrown at solas because saar feels like solas is the only person he can direct that towards, let alone share with. it's awful and it's messy and the game doesn't let me fully emphasize on just how much saar feels of EVERYTHING in that moment.

he's got no outlet for it except for the bastard in his head who's been nothing but condescending and smug up until this point.

Im a Scarian girl...I know im basic 🥰. But they were my otp before ranchers and I just love writing their dynamic. Most of my traffic doc is Scarian. And none of it will ever be published because thats embarrassing <3

I also love Ethubs. I think they're just the perfect pair, platonic or romantic. They're so soft and they truly care for each other. This is why I've put ambiguous ethubs into margin of error and am planning a whole spin off surrounding them.

For scar and cub, I've always written them as brothers? I've seen ship art, I think its cute. But Im also not really a multishipper so I've never moved them away from brothers. They have this kind of dynamic that screams "I know you well but could also go 4 months without seeing you and pick up right where we left off"

For other ships.....I think Keralis and Xisuma are cute! I've recently been introduced to Keralis and XB and thats a GOLDMINE of good interactions (per them being put into sticks) i also love Scott and his bf CamBam. They're so so so so so cute and I think fic about them would be even cuter

I love qpr ren and false. Or even, ran chasing after false who just doesnt notice his advances. Good dynamic overall. I dont mind treebark, theyre cute. I also dont mind meangils, ive read some good fics for them lately they kind of hit. While im talking Scott, i dont shit flowerhusbands but I DO love past flowerhusbands in a ranchers fic. Bad break up always hits, but I prefer when they've stayed friends and are still kind to eachother.

I have no preference on who Pearl ends up with. I've been thinking about how I dont really put her in romantic situations in my writing because shes often a stronger character without it. But ive been seen to enjoy some background gempearl.
