At the School Cafeteria

The same group of friends are gathered at the same table for lunch time. Everything looks normal except for one thing.

Yang: Sis, are you seeing what I'm seeing?

Ruby: I think so… Are we in one of those dreams where we are connected by a device like in Inception? Blake?

Blake: If we were, I don't think Weiss would be dreaming this.

In front of them was Weiss being very affectionate with a somewhat terrified Jaune. She has one of her arms intertwined with his, while she feeds him. She takes a potato with a fork and brings it to Jaune's mouth.

Weiss: Say Aah~💕

Jaune: *He doesn't open his mouth*

Her eyes suddenly lose their shine, and with a chilling smile she repeats her instruction.

Weiss: Say ah

Jaune flinches and eats the potatoes

Weiss: Good boy~💕

While the couple was acting all "amorous", next to Ruby, where Weiss normally sat, was Pyrrha. Staring at Weiss with pure hatred. You could see how a black energy surrounded Pyrrha.

Nora: Um… Pyrrha, are you okay?

Pyrrha: I'm fine.

Nora: But...

Ren puts his hand on her shoulder to get her attention. She turns around and Ren shakes his head, telling her it's a bad idea to get involved.

Pyrrha: Jaune, after lunch we have the entire afternoon free. How about we take advantage of the time and train together?

Jaune: Su-

Weiss: *Interrupts him* Thanks Pyrrha, but Jaune already has plans with me. Right darling?

Pyrrha: *Upset* Darling?

Jaune: Well...

Weiss: *Looking at him with yandere eyes* "Well..." What?

Jaune: *Scared* W-Well I'm so sorry Pyrrha, maybe next time?

Pyrrha: I... I see.

Weiss: Well, then it's time for Darling and I to get going. See you guys later~

Weiss gets up and pulls Jaune towards the exit. The others at the table are still confused by what they witnessed. Throwing theories left and right trying to understand. Some say it must be a prank, others say aliens must have been involved. Pyrrha, in the other hand, keeps thinking about Jaune's behavior just now.

Pyrrha: (I know Jaune has a crush on her, but why would he be scared now that he's dating her? I don't know what's going on but I'll find out)

Finished RWBY's season two with episodes ten to twelve... I am nervous, but also cautiously optimistic about the rest to come.

Season 02, Episode 10: Mountain Glenn

- "Our enemies... are gathering."

- Ironwood is gazing menacingly out into the distance. Glynda's there for him... To trust Ozpin or not to trust him, that is James' dilemma.

- Ruby is keeping watch. Everyone else is sleeping. Where be Zwei?

- I was wrong. The rest of the team is awake too. Yang and Blake are still wondering why Oobleck asked them about being huntresses. Weiss is not asleep because Blake and Yang are talking. 😂. Sure, that's why.

- So, Ice Queen knows the gray moral area the Schnee company operates from. Especially after her father took the helm. And she needs to make things right as a result... "My father was not the start of our name, and I refuse to let him be the end of it." 👏🏻✨🤌🏻

- Blake is talking about Adam. He was more of a mentor. Shikes. Someone needs to die. That aside, I really like how they have managed to use the bonfire's light to show his symbol on the ceiling. Almost like he is still haunting the place Blake is at... Huntsman and huntresses, regarded as the most noble warriors. Always stand for good. So she became it. Still confused about how to combat all the hate though. These ladies are just teenagers. Fucking hell.

- Yang believes in her. Blake isn't so sure about how she will figure things out... Awww. Sometimes running is the best thing you can do. As for what happened when the Team realised she was a Faunus; yeah, she ran away. But then she ran towards the problem too.

- Adam sounds like a very sick monster whom people should lock behind bars. Falling back does not equal being a coward. Tactical retreats are valid strategies... Her semblance sounds pretty sound in this regard. Nice one too! Can be used in many different ways.

- Yang has nothing that drives her. Going with the flow. She wants to be a huntress for the adventure. An unpredictable life. She be not like Ruby, who always knew what she wanted her path to look like. Even before she could fight. Hmmm.

- "...We are all kids." THANK YOU BLAKE!!!!

- It's not a life, it's a job. Yes... Hah! So I was right. It be true. Romanticising anything only works so long. Reality checks hurt, still are necessary.

- "But at the end of the day, it's a job to protect the people. And whatever we want will have to come second." Weiss is right on the money.

- Oobleck's smiling proudly over their newfound revelation. Basically, everyone's awake but Ruby now. Where is Zwei?!?

- I SEE HIM!!! Zwei ran off... To pee. 😆

- And that's how Ruby found the bad folks. Because Zwei really couldn't understand this place is a Wasteland and he could pee anywhere. Good boy!!!

- Ruby is following them now. Alone. I guess this is happening. Zwei is following Ruby. Fuck.

- "One bark means yes." ADORABLE!!!

- Ruby's scroll has no signal. I have a bad feeling... Yup. The ground under her has given up. Crescent Rose is not in the hole. Zwei and Ruby might be though.

- So not Zwei. But definitely Ruby. Shite.

- Into the undercity and outside the entrance of the bad people. This is fine. 👍🏻

- Ruby has realised she doesn't have Crescent Rose on her. Time for hand to hand combat... Ruby is out like a light. The fuck.

- Yang probably didn't think she also had to keep watch on her sister, while keeping watch for any Grimm that might come for them.

- Zwei came running back to the base. Oobleck has a good guess of what's happening. Am scared.

- Ruby is being dragged to the boss. Now awake and observing stuff. And here we have Roman.

- Team RWBY sans their leader and with Oobleck have arrived at the hole. Oobleck's realising stuff. And monologuing almost. Zwei licks him for it. 🫶🏻

- Underground crime network. Pun intended. 😆

- It's a graveyard. People died there while trying to escape the Grimm above, only to be attacked by the ones below... Holy hell. Things are serious enough for Oobleck to take out HIS weapon. Good Gods.

- Sinister music.

Season 02, Episode 11: No Brakes

- "Now it's time to say goodbye."

- Fucking Roman. Crescent Rose is not a gardening tool... You know what, sure. Let's call it that. This fucker got beat by a fucking gardening tool. Fucking embarassment.

- White Fang guy? Perry the White Fang guy?! 😂

- There's an earthquake. Ahhh, it's just Oobleck and the rest of Team RWBY.

- Bad folks not caring about the consequences of unfinished models. Classic.

- Oh Gods. Ruby is being shot at. She hasn't been hurt! YAYYYYYY!!!

- Thank Gods for good teammates.

- The train's leaving the station. Torchwick has turned into the commentary guy for it. Good for him. He should start looking into alternate vocations.

- Sealed tunnels have been reopened. Good guys need backup. No signal yet again. Always the worst timing. Such relatable content.

- Team RWBY will now stop a running train. They really are doing it all. ❤️‍🔥

- Torchwick is aware of their arrival now. And learning workplace manners... 😆

- Weiss calls Oobleck Professor. They discover a bomb. Also, baddies are coming to them now. Things are going really well.

- From one caboose to another. Automatic decoupling of one. Every compartment has a bomb now. Huh. Why?

- The fight has begun with a wink from Yang. ✨🤌🏻. Slam, slash, ice splash, and a nice dash.

- Underground Grimm alert! Like they already didn't have enough problems. "Oh dear," is right Oobleck.

- Ohhhh. The plan is to get Grimm to the city. Bad guys being bad. Ugh. Great timing too, honestly. Many students are out and about with hunters and huntresses of great regard on missions.

- Ruby stole Oobleck's thunder. LoLLL!

- Weiss, Blake and Yang must take care of the bombs. Zwei, Ruby and Oobleck will stop the train. Megazords don't want that to happen.

- Doctor's weapon has a coffee mug attached?! That has coffee in it?!!! And now Zwei is turning into a cannonball that Oobleck hit like a baseball. 🤯. What breed is this little pupper??!?

- One Megazord down, another has been destroyed by the Doc. I knew it!!! He is also good at wielding weapons. Good on him!

- Weiss handed Blake coloured gun magazines. Rainbow bullets?

- Neo is back. Yang vs umbrella lady. Ooooooh!

- Man, this girl is small. Yang is towering over her... And having a hard time landing a hit. The fight choreography is nice though!

- Weiss and Blake are splitting up now. White Fang guy with chainsaw is Weiss' opponent.

- I do like how every member who broke off did something to ensure the perpetrator in that cabin stayed with them, and let the others pass through. Many shows and movies don't get this right.

- It's Torchwick vs Blake. Whoa.

- Her semblance is amazing!!! And the elemental attribute added to the image of Blake left behind must be Weiss' contribution. Oooooooh! That's what them colourful bullets must have been for. NOICE!

- Roman down. Is he actually trying to get Blake on his side?! WoWie. Some nerve.

- Weiss is making forcefields, doing acrobatics and giving the guy hell. Oh my Gods. Glyph combo attack! Oh no. She has been caught.

- Panned to Yang. Who is also not having a great time. Shite.

- Blake just kicked Roman who got a mental shot in. At least he is asleep now. Weiss has entered her cabin and isn't doing too good. Blake has her now.

- Yang is lying on the ground. Neo has a blade and isn't afraid to use it. Fucking... Oh thank GODS. Someone's here. Looks badass too... It's Yang's bio mom, isn't it. Neo actually looked scared and ran off. Huh.

- This lady can create portals?!? Yang is waking up, and caught a glimpse of the woman before she left.

- More Megazord fighting for Oobleck and Ruby. Another one down!

- Ruby has been asked to go on ahead. Oobleck will take care of the incoming Megazords. Zwei will take care of the Doc. CUTTTEEEE!!!

- Team RWBY is together now and in one piece. YAYYYYYY!!! Vale station is fast approaching. Ruby and Weiss share a look. Ooooooh?

- Cabin full of ice!!! Big crash... Did it work?

- Nope. Grimm are now terrorising the city. Ruby is worried. And now determined...

- "All the time seemed to fly..."

- Opening with Jaune's snoring. He still wears his nighttime onesie and is dreaming of waffles. LoLLL!

- I love how much confidence Team JNPR has for RWBY, but they need you!

- Thank Gods Jaune has a feeling that it's more than a button dial... Cue alaram bells blaring. YAYYYYYY! They are changing missions! Awww! It was sweet of Jaune to let Ren know they would visit the village for a different mission.

- Cinder and co watched Team JNPR fly back. And now she knows what Torchwick did. Things are about to get worse, aren't they.

- Army of Grimm against four teenagers. Hooo boy.

- Badass hunstwoman fighting badassedly!!! And thank Gods for Team JNPR!!!

- LoLL! Jaune is the only one in his team who doesn't have great speed?

- Jaune: "Who's first?" / Ursa Grimm: "You Jaune-y boy." /// Come on Jaune! You got this!!! Awwww! Pyrrha looked on and Jaune did it!!!

- Sun and Neptune are here now! For comic relief apparently. They have nice badges I guess.

- She is doing them repairs now. Glynda is the only one holding Vale's economy together, I feel. Especially when destruction of property is concerned.

- Mercury and Emerald are with Torchwick. Of course. Roman has learned error of his ways. Sure.

- Now, the good guys plus Emerald and Mercury are gathering and nodding at one another.

- It's a nice sky, Team RWBY and Zwei are sitting together. Weiss wants extra credit for this. 😆. But much havoc was caused, not everything has been solved, people got hurt, there are more questions than answers...

- Weiss points out not everything has a neat and tidy ending. True.

- "We might not have all of the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. And I that's something we can be proud of." - Blake. Is this character development? ✨

- Yang and Zwei are lying down. Tournament training is covered. Time to sleep!!!

- Councilmen, Ozpin, and Ironwood in a meeting. General Ironwood is going to be head of security. Ahhh. Well, good luck to him. He will definitely need it.

- Ozpin's position at Beacon is in danger. Due to Ironwood's reports... WoWie. This forker has the audacity to ask for Ozpin's trust... How cute.

- "You brought this on yourself." - General Ironwood.

And you are about to bring what will go down soon, on YOURSELF.

- James vs Torchwick. The former has custody of the latter. Great. This will go nowhere.

- Cinder considers this a success. Mercury is saying many Faunus folks didn't make it out of the tunnels. Shite. And of course their only concern is if the White Fang will still help them.

- Adam. This jackarse. Now lending his influence over the White Fang to Cinder and co. Fucking hell.

- Lie Ren is voiced by Monty Oum himself?!?! ✨🫶🏻

- This song is WHOA. Very, crime investigation sort-of thing. The lyrics are making me want to rebel though...

- They are thanking many families in the credits. That's so sweet! Cats and dogs and pugs now too. 🥹. And a giraffe named Gideon. COOOOOOOOL!

- Another endcredits scene! Yang. Walking around Beacon at night. The lady who saved her is here?

- Good Gods. Yang's mum looks just like her, but with red eyes and black hair... They have a lot to talk about. Shikes.

- I liked the chimes like music in the background, while their confrontation happened. Much mystique.

- Volume three of RWBY, save me. Save me volume three of RWBY... It won't. I know. This is where it all begins. Fuck.

The Sleepover - Aftermath

Pyrrha, Ruby, Yang, Blake, Weiss, Nora were all were hunkered down in RWBY's dorm room. They knew other students and faculty were likewise sequestered in various spots about Beacon. The simple activity of Summoning Demons during their Girl's only slumber party had unleashed Hell upon Remnant.

Yang: This bad... real bad.

Blake: I'm so sorry! It was never like this during my Sleep-Overs in Menagerie... I swear!

Nora: Game Over, Man! Game Over!

Pyrrha: That's enough, Nora! Get yourself together, Jaune and Ren are out there... they can fix this!

Weiss: How can you be so... confident that they can? This thing has spiralled all out of control! How can just a couple...

Ruby: It's not just Ren and Jaune! They have all of SSSN and EVEN CRDL with them... which I'm kind of conflicted on... considering...

Weiss: Still...

Female Voice Over: The Slayers are the spears that stab at the heart of our attackers...

Pyrrha: Who is that?

Ruby: A voice-over?

Yang: How the HELL is there a voice-over? WHY the HELL is there a voice-over?

Female Voice Over: And with them lies our Salvation. All hail the coming of the Destroyers... the Slayers' time is now.

Blake: Okay, that is REALLY annoying! What the hell is she going on about? Slayers? Destroyers?

Pyrrha: You don't think...?

Female Voice Over: For there is only ONE dominate life form in this universe... and they carry a steel barrelled sword of vengeance... the only thing they fear are them.

Ruby: Steel Barrelled Sword of Vengeance... that is so EPIC!!!

Pyrrha: That is kind of... comforting to hear all that, you know? Sort of? Right?

Nora: *sneaking a peak out the window* REN!?!?

Pyrrha: Nora? *Pyrrha moves to also look out the window* BY THE BROTHERS! AH JAUNE! *promptly faints*

Weiss: What the...?

While everyone was busy checking on Pyrrha, Ruby snuck over and looked out the window... outside standing upon pile after pile of heaped demon corpses were the boys of Beacon... each one armed with either a chainsaw or a variation of a shotgun. In the middle stood Jaune... holding a struggling demon above his head with one hand while blasting another point-blank in the face with a double-barrelled shotgun.

Ruby: That is so.... METAL!!!

“Hey, uh, Jaune? I, um. This is, uh… I’m sorry for yelling at you back in the Ever After, and I—…I get it if, um. If you don’t think I should know. Is… Penny… is she mad at me, for, um… for not being good enough?”

They’re in Vacuo, it doesn’t feel real. Jaune is setting on an honest to gods mattress for the first time in decades, and it doesn’t feel real. Pyrrha keeps chuckling at his amazed expression, he can feel her over his shoulder.

There’s a knock on the door and Jaune jumps. His hand is on his sword and he’s halfway across the room before Penny floats through the wall beside the door, looking troubled. And Jaune’s heart sinks. He knows who’s going to be on the other side

Ever since Ruby landed in the Ever After, Penny has only briefly left her side, and only to visit her father.

“Jaune? Can…” Ruby’s voice, muffled, trails off. “Can I come in?” He glances at Penny, who nods reassuringly, and opens the door

Gods has Ruby always looked so small?

“Hey Ruby,” he says, sheathing his sword. They stare at each other for a moment before Jaune steps aside and Ruby sidles past him. She’s quiet in a way that reminds him of tea cups and shattered silver eyes, and it scares him.

He sits on the bed and she sits next to him, a careful distance away. “You doing okay?” he asks.

She shrugs. “Are you?” she asks.

He shrugs.

The silence drags on, awkward and stifling, broken only by Penny humming quietly. She didn’t flinch when he drew his weapon, but HE did. Gods, half of it is still sticking out of her chest and she didn’t even flinch.

“Hey, uh, Jaune? I, um. This is, uh…” Ruby’s voice gets more quiet by the word, and she won’t meet his eyes. “I’m sorry for yelling at you back in the Ever After, and I-”

Jaune is spouting apologies of his own before she’s even done talking. Pyrrha has to shush him multiple times before he realizes that he cut Ruby off.

“It’s okay but …I get it if, um. If you don’t think I should know.” Ruby shrinks in on herself. Her hands are tangled in her cape “Is… Penny… is she mad at me, for, um… for not being good enough?”

Penny, of course, immediately starts yelling reassurances, and Jaune winces at the volume of the echoey words. Ruby must take his reaction as confirmation though, because she sniffles and stands. “Right. Right I’m- im sorry, I shouldn’t have asked. I’ll just…”

“Wait! Wait no, Ruby, no she doesn’t!” Jaune says frantically, waving his hands. “Or she’s not! She’s not mad at you. She could never be mad at you.” He’s just passing on Penny’s words, but even if he wasn’t he’d know that they’re true. Even he isn’t stupid enough not to see how much the former-android cares about Ruby

“Ruby, it wasn’t your fault, you did everything you could. You are the most…” Jaune can’t find the words. “You are the most enough anyone could be. Penny isn’t mad at you, because come on, she’s Penny.” Ruby chuckles weakly, and he takes it as a win.

“But mostly she’s not mad because you were MORE than good enough. You got us all to Vacuo, you got EVERYONE to Vacuo. You gave all of us the strength to follow you. She…” Jaune glances up at Penny. “She wants you to know that not only is she not mad, but that she’s so SO proud. Being just you has always been more than enough.”

At this Ruby does actually start crying, and he panics for a second because shit he messed everything up again. Next he’s gonna get slammed into a wall and left to pick up the pieces, he just knows it.

Over her shoulder Penny is trying to hold Ruby’s shaking form, but she can’t make contact, and Jaune has to look away. That’s his fault, he did that. He’s the reason Penny will never be able to hug her friend again, why Ruby will never be able to be comforted by her friend again.

“Stop that…” Pyrrha’s staticky reprimand whispers. “It’s not your fault.”

It is, it is. But since it’s his fault, it’s also his responsibility to make up for it.

“Ruby can I… Can I hug you?” Jaune asks, his arms held out tentatively. It’s all the invitation his best friend needs, choking out a sob and diving at him with enough force to send them both to the ground.

And that’s what breaks Jaune, and soon enough he’s crying and sobbing into her hair while her cries are muffled against his chest.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t want to, I didn’t mean it, I’m so sorry.” Their apologies melt together, meaningless and meaningful in equal measure.

“It wasn’t your fault, you didn’t mean to, it’s okay, it’s okay, I’m here.” Reassurances from both of them, each the only one who can truly understand what the other is going through

He feels like some kind of poison is being drawn from a wound decades left unattended.

He’s not sure how long they sit there, the literal ghosts of their past whispering and cooing calming words to the broken leaders.

“You are more than enough, Ruby. You’re my best freaking friend, I don’t know what I’d do without you. You are SO much more than enough.” Jaune’s voice is broken, croaky with tears and emotion. He doesn’t know who he’s trying to convince, her or himself. “I can’t lose you again.”

He feels Ruby nod against his chest. “It wasn’t your fault. You’re my best friend, I could never be mad at you. It wasn’t your fault.” Her words are fierce, exhausted, insistent, and he chokes out a sob. Ruby is trying to convince herself as much as him. Gods they really are the same, aren’t they?

“We really are messed up, aren’t we?”

Ruby chuckles, and nods against his chest. “Yeah. Proper Hunters and everything, now.” She sounds bitter, and Jaune’s arms tighten around her.

“Yeah. Yeah I guess we are.”

“Does this… does this get better?”

Decades alone being burned alive by his own guilt, going half-mad with fear. “I’ll let you know when I find out.”

Ruby laughs again, and wipes at her eyes. “I’ll do the same.”

And on the floor of a Vacuo dorm room, two broken leaders begin to heal.

so like.... did summer actually finish the story or was there still chapters left?

cos if she didn't i'm gonna headcanon that afterwards, ruby developed this deeply rooted need to stay awake long enough for any bedtime story to be finished—e.g. how she's still awake when tai finishes the story about the warrior while yang is fast asleep—bc as a child she drew a correlation between summer not finishing the story and summer disappearing and went never again.

There was a squeal as the video was rewound for the dozenth time. Or was it the hundredth? Ruby couldn't tell. The only thing she could tell was how angry she was getting. And that was a lot. Once she had arrived at the point she desired, she pressed play.

The air was tense around Ruby continued to play the repeated recording over and over again on her scroll. Though, it was already tense to begin with. Yang leaned against the wall, her eyes flickering between her normal lavender and the inferno red that blazed when her semblance activated, usually by anger. Blake sat close to and held a weeping Weiss, with Ruby's partner occasionally letting slip an Atlesian swear. Ruby almost wished she still had the swear jar, if only to distract herself from the bile building in her throat.

What kept her from violently seeking retribution was because the person she would seek it on the behalf of was currently resting in a hospital bed in the most critical condition she had ever seen him in. The scream that Nora, and surprisingly Ren, let out on seeing their leader in such a state broke Ruby's heart. Nobody loved Jaune more than his team, which was why she and hers took it upon themselves to watch over him while the couple sought the rest they needed after standing so long by his side.

How long was "a little longer"? Knowing the man who made the false promise, Ruby was sure it wasn't "little" by any measure less than cosmic. She'd heard the horror stories about the Schnee Dust Company in her time as a huntress, even hearing some older kids threaten younger Faunus children that the SDC would snatch them away if they didn't behave. And with examples of such cruelty as the White Fang's own now deceased leader, Adam Taurus, who'd died with the same brand over his eye as he carried throughout his life, hardly anyone was willing to argue against such claims.

Now, Jacques Schnee was in hiding, long gone since the video on Ruby's scroll had been salvaged from the burning wreckage of Jaune's former prison. Looking to him once more, her teeth grit as his aura worked around the clock, day and night, to heal his burns, his cuts, and whatever missing bones that were taken from his body. All to be replaced by scars. Scars too big and too deep to be simply healed by time.

Oscar had been quiet ever since they'd found his leader. To the surprise of everyone, he was the one who found the secret lab and warned Team RWBY of the dark deeds beneath the Kingdom of Atlas. He was also the one to find the security tape and salvaged a copy in time before the fire took everything else. Whether it truly was Oscar on his own or with the help of Oz, Ruby wasn't sure. However, she wasn't able to ask since he'd been deep in his own thoughts since Jaune's return to the light.

A cart passed by, carrying a rattling box of pill bottles. Part of her wanted to stop the cart, to seize the container and reveal the smoking gun of the Schnee Dust Company's ignoble research. However, she knew that she was just being paranoid. Shortly after Jaune's rescue, General Ironwood ordered a widespread investigation into the drugs provided by every drugstore and hospital in Atlas. Every single one had at least one bottle of Jaune's broken and powdered bones ready to be consumed by people searching for a miracle cure.

Did they even work? It was such curiosity that brought such horrors upon her best friend and fellow leader. Some part of her wanted to look at reviews online, at all the sick people, both physically and metaphorically so, who had taken such "medicine" and see if this was truly as miraculous as was claimed. The right part of her, however, would simply look to the gasping and wheezing young man who had been used to make such medicine, and summarily decided, 'No, it isn't'.

'Yes. Simply hold out for a little longer. Please.'

"Ruby?" Yang looked to her sister. "Where are you going?"

"I need some fresh air." Ruby stopped to answer, before continuing her way outside. "Hospitals make me sick."

"Thank you so much for all your help, Arthur. I knew I could always count on your genius."

"Oh, do go on." The man slid his fingers along his mustache, a chuckle rumbling from his throat. "No, no, by all means. Do go on."

"It honestly breaks my heart to leave my home, but after that security breach, and the video leak, I'm afraid I have no choice." Jacques turned to his savior. "And you're certain no one will question my arrival?"

"Why would they?" The good doctor grinned. "News doesn't travel far from their own kingdoms nowadays, what with the dismantled CCT system."

Jacques Schnee looked to his new, misty home in Mistral. Though it wasn't much now, he could see a thriving business here within a matter of weeks. After all, there were kingdoms few and far from as steeped in mysticism and miracle cures as this one. He just needed to speak with the right people and get the right customers.

"I am no fool, Arthur." The dark-haired man quirked his brow at that. "Support like this doesn't come without a price. And I'm almost certain you have yours."

"Perhaps, but now isn't the time to question such things. Not when you have a business to start up." He looked to the crates of 'SHARC' being unloaded into the recently vacated mansion. "For now, let us simply say, 'What else are friends for?'."

Makes box but Salem doesn’t even notice as the box is formed around her.
