🏅 #MedalMonday 🏃‍♂️ The great thing about being a distance runner is the satisfaction of completing a rough task. 📆 #TransformationTuesday 📅 More like Tie Tuesday for me. At my nephews first communion I grabbed his clip on tie and as a gag put it on. In those days I rarely if ever put on a tie cause not only did I deal with length I had curved real estate to consider so most ties where not long enough for me. Something nice about being able to put on what was once an embarrassment cause it your size and now know it help with your professional look. 🏃‍♂️ #SundayRunDay 🏃‍♂️ Well 24 days without a run and I was hesitant to try, but I have been doing well on working the Achilles to get it better and past few workout S have been with zero pain. So I figured I'll do 2 miles tops, I got 1.75 miles in and had zero, I mean ZERO sign of issues and decided to add more miles. After 3 miles I was actually more tired and still had zero pain. Didn't want to press my luck so I headed home and got a good stretch and cool down before I mow the yard. 😇 #5KVolunteer 🤗 I'm still nursing this screwed up Achilles tendon, but have been a part of the AJ Arnett 5K Honor run to raise money for local veterans programs here in Northeast Indiana. So to keep the streak going, I volunteered and with my daughter I was watering station at mile 2 today. 👨‍👩‍👧 #HappyMothersDay 👨‍👩‍👧 For both types of followers of my Instagram, Weightloss and Running, you in your personal life need a strong base of support if you want to get lasting results and for me it is this women right here. This was us huddled up in a warming tent before the Huff 50k race this past winter. Most people would not hang out before a race let alone the whole thing. But she does! We have been together for 18+ years and for the past 11 she has been mother to our daughter and as I posted on my personal Facebook page today, I could not have hoped for a better mother for our daughter then her.
