Day 1; Introduction (Monday, March 31)

Day 2; Red Team/Blue Team (Tuesday, April 1st- no April Fools jokes~)

Day 3; Project Freelancer and Charon Industries (Wednesday, April 2)

Day 4; A1/Robots and Other Worldly Creatures (Thursday, April 3)

Day 5; Chorus and Mercs (Friday, April 4)

More explanations for prompt suggestions below-

1- Introduction; name, backstory, general info. Unique OCs, self-inserts, and side characters who have been expanded on are welcome. A single OC or multiple are fine. Skills and abilities, weapons/special gear, designs with or without armor. Art, 3D models, dress-up game/icon makers, aesthetic/moodboards, playlists, text/writing all good examples

2- Red Team/Blue Team; Would they be with the Reds or the Blues we know, Flag Zealots, Temple's group of Blues and Reds, with a totally different set of Red/Blue teams, or "in the middle" like Doc (you can treat the scenario as an AU for your OC; what if they were in Blood Gulch from the beginning? What if it wasn’t your “real OC” with Temple’s group, but their alternate/look-alike?)

3- Project Freelancer and Charon Industries; for any OCs who are Freelancers, or OCs on Charon’s side. Maybe the OC isn’t part of the Freelancer program or directly involved with the Insurrectionists, but still interacts with them, such as scientists and pilots (if your OC isn’t officially part of it all, you can also use this suggestion as another AU or “what-if”)

4- AI/Robots and Other Worldly Creatures; for OCs who have an AI companion/interact with the AI, or perhaps ARE an AI. New AI Fragments, floating orbs/AI gods, robot OCs, or vehicles/ships with their own personality. OCs that are different kinds of space aliens/creatures, or any OCs that aren’t human. Again, this suggestion can be used as an AU/what-if, or show your OC with any characters who fit

5- Chorus and Mercs; would an OC be with the Feds or the News, friends with the Lieutenants or an assistant to Dr. Grey. Would they be part of the Mercenaries, either working with Felix and Locus or a different kind of space pirate, maybe they knew Sharkface from being trapped on the Tartarus, maybe they got stranded out here from another crash-landing

6- Relationships; for any dating/romantic ships, friends and close companions, QPR, polyamory, found-family/long-lost relatives/time-traveling ancestors/descendants, etc. OCs having relationships with existing characters or other OCs welcome. Creators can ask each other if OCs can be paired together~

7- Energy Sword Sunday; OCs who have "Great Keys", any ideas about how it was acquired/how it is used, activating unique temples/ancient technology, any quests or prophecies, or epic sword fights with other wielders

I finished rewatching season 17 😭

I love it so much, and it's so special to me. I think partially because at the time I started rvb it was the most recent season. But also because it was sort of The End. Restoration didnt continue that story, it sounds more like an AU to me, and Zero technically continues it but is more like a spin off

So it has such an End of an Era feel. I used to really want more of this story but tbh I think 17 leaves it in a good place, I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm just sad it's over 😞

Some moments I want to shout out

I forgot about the scene where Tucker is talking to Genkins but Felix is also there and can't hear genkins. And it absolutely killed me.

Wash telling Locus he's trying to get shot

When Chrovos says "I don't go to parties dear, they come to me" and Tucker and Sister simultaneously say "cool"

"I'm just gonna....pry the chain gun off this pelican" "if he's single theres no hope for any of us" - iconic moment

Sister's fake story ideas to tell Tucker when he wakes up after having junior

Thinking about the scenario of if Carolina became the Meta instead of Maine again. And I've been thinking about if it would talk.

First, rambles on general shape of Carolina as the Meta:

Given the state Carolina was in during the fall of Project Freelancer,bI could absolutely see Sigma being able to talk her over that line, to attacking teammates she could overcome to become the best again.

And I've been thinking about what that Meta would be like as a villain. Maine as the Meta was an unstoppable force, the man it was built on top of was just ludicrously difficult to kill. This let the Meta survive anything thrown at it while the AI selected how it would hammer back. Some of this durability was due to equipment, but it seems like a lot of it was inherited from Maine himself. Carolina is unquestionably durable, but I don't think it would be so defining to her Meta. I think Carolina as the Meta would be characterized more as lethal, you do not get the chance to make it survive damage, you just die. And honestly, I could see this Meta succeeding where the Meta built on Maine failed. There wouldn't be time to figure out how to deal with a Meta built upon Carolina, everyone would be dead already.

Now, onto that talking bit I mentioned at the start: would a Meta built off of Carolina talk?

The Meta we got in the show had its iconic growl, but that was born of the fact that it was the only way Maine could vocalize after having been shot (repeatedly) in the throat. This trait would probably be absent from a Meta built on Carolina.

And we have an example of a chatty Meta, the Meta 2.0 thing from RvB Restoration is constantly talking as it goes about its business. And whatever it is that's doing the talking must be emergent from all the minds forming the Meta 2.0, as we see Tucker and the individual AI that make it up are able to speak as individuals, distinct from whatever it is that does most of the talking for the Meta 2.0.

Then countering that though, is that the original Meta built off of agent Maine could speak. We see it do so in season 6 when questioning the Director about the Alpha. Its speech is just somewhat chaotic, the composite AI that make it up all shouting out individually.

2.0 was chatty though, so that was probably due to the differences between its makeup and that of the original Meta. The first thing that comes to mind is the throwaway line about Felix somehow being incorporated into it, and that could certainly bias it towards being talkative, derisive, and overconfident as we see in Restoration. And perhaps there's also something to the fact that it is made up of fragments of fragments, made of what Epsilon remembered of the others rather than of pieces of the Alpha.

Regardless, I feel like a Meta based on Carolina would take after the original Meta, able to speak but choosing not to.

Though, this does make me wonder what was happening inside the Meta's helmet whenever it let out one of those growls. What did that vocalization mean to it? I don't have an easy answer. Maybe a Meta built off of Carolina would grunt, or snarl in its own way even if it chose not to speak.
