Hi hi! So the lack of Sang-wook (sweet home) ficts on here is insane! So I was thinking if you could write something x GN reader (if possible) maybe something where like, sang-wook finally breaks after putting up that cold facade he always has and reader just comforts him (maybe reader being the only person in between the survivors that doesn't find him weird or scary? (Maybe a confession) take your time and feel free to ignore if you don't like this! (Just answer to it so I know if you don't want to write it I understand!)
I’ll Be There | Sang-wook x GN reader
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, A bit of Angst
Summary: Sang-wook’s walls finally collapse and your the only one who understands him.
Warnings: Mentions of Killing, Normal Sweet Home Stuff
Unedited ( Will be editing tomorrow)
————————————
Sang-wook was dangerous. There was no denying his hard cold demeanor and his fearlessness to stand up for/ to anyone in the group. Everyone though he was a criminal but you knew that underneath that had to be someone that cared. Everyday you watched as he groaned and grumbled at everyone. You tried your best to make sure he was always taken care of because he was important more to you than anyone. Maybe it was a petty crush or perhaps it came from a place of understanding.
Everyone treated him as an outsider. Yet you would offer him food. He at first reacted like he didn’t care just walking away every time you tried. Slowly things changed. He would answer by shaking his head no sometimes he would take one piece before walking off as he started to warm up to you.
On a rather gloomy day rain fell hard outside, everyone already seemed to be in a terrible mood. But than a monster broke into the first floor. It tore through walls and damn near killed you all, luckily Hyun-Soo was quick on his feet to light it on fire before it could reach where everyone slept.
“ This is ridiculous we aren’t safe! That thing got down here!” Woo-Hyun shouted out. Making practically everyone jump beside Sang-wook who stood next to you.
“ Ya, I mean what if we were sleeping a-and it snuck down here and killed us all!” Gook-hee added pulling her dog closer to her. They had a point, but the way that they bitched about it didn’t help any.
“ Let’s all just take a breath-“ You started trying to regain some form of peace you’d all just lost.
“ Don’t tell me to breathe!” Woo-Hyun said walking up to you. Sang-Wook stepped forward as if he were protecting you. But Do-Hyun spoke before a fight could break lose,
“ The problem has been fixed we’ll have everyone check over certain spots so we can-“ Woo-Hyun cut him off grabbing his collar practically almost ripping Do-hyun’s white t-shirt in the process.
“ Your trying to kill us first you hold food from us and now this you-“
Sang-wook lightly pushing Woo-hyun back. His face turned to pure shock.
“ You dare put your hands on me! You thug!” He yelled pointing at him. “ Why is he even still here he’s a danger to us all! He killed a person!”
Sang-Wook face fell for second before harding back up. He stepped back as Woo-Hyun continued.
“ He’s a murder a psychopath-“
“ Stop it!” You shouted making everyone go silent.
Sang-wook shoved his hands in his pockets while walking away from the scene.
“ Walk away killer!” Woo-Hyun yelled point at him.
“ Would you stop!” You shouted smacking his hand down Woo-Hyun face turned in shock.
“ Did you ever stop to think that maybe he did it for our own good? Maybe that man was out to kill us or take our only things we have left.”
Woo-Hyun looked at you with a slightly deflated expression. “ Whatever nobody cares what you have to say! You don’t even speak half the time..” He muttered before walking away his wife trailing behind.
Everyone else followed their lead going off on their own. You decide to go after Sang-wook you weren’t sure what you’d find. But you saw the look in his eyes almost like someone had poked his heart.
As you turned the corner you heard the sound of breaking concrete and grunts. You saw Sang-wook standing over concrete blocks slamming them with a sledge hammer. Little piece scattering across the floor.
“ Sang-wook?” You said softly.
“ Go.” He muttered as he dropped the hammer on the ground his back towards you.
You start taking slow steps towards him asking, “ Are you okay ?” He didn’t reply instead he stayed silent you noticed his shoulders starting to shake by the time you reached his side you saw tears streaming down his face. It made your heart hurt to see him like this. You felt bad like you were seeing something you weren’t meant too but you weren’t going anywhere you wanted him to know that.
“ It’s okay.” He practically jumped on top of you wrapping his arms around your waist pulling you close gripping your shirt as he sobbed into your neck. His grip was tight like you would disappear if he let go. You wrapped your arms around his smoothing his hair as you whispering.
“ You can cry, it’s okay.” That he did. You practically watched as his walls came down you let him crying till the sun was setting by than you both found yourself sitting on the dirt near the window in a comfortable silence.
“ Thank you..” He muttered. You could help but giggle at his embarrassed tone, He gives you shocked look.
“ It’s okay.” You grinned. “I’m not judging you.”
Sang-wook’s eyes widen a bit at your statement like nobody had ever showed this type of care for him. Maybe you were the first in a while.
“ You don’t have to be strong in front of me.” You reassured him. You just wanted him to be okay to know that even if the whole world judged him you wouldn’t.
“ I don’t know what to say..” His eyes trailing down to the dirt.
“ Then don’t say anything, Just promise me you’ll let me be there for you.”
He nodded his head in acceptance of you and an acceptance of letting someone special in. You made him feel like there was more to this world than constantly having to watch your own back now he could watch what was right in-front of him.
———————————————————————
A/N: Hope you enjoy this. I wasn’t sure what kinda of ending I was gonna do. I was thinking about having Sang-wook tell the reader he didn’t kill them for a dumb reason. Or this ending where Sang-wook just tries to leave it in the past and move on with the reader which is this end. Anyways That’s all Much appreciation ❤️💚!!

Showering with Pyeon Sang-wook after a rough night in the apartment complex. (“Suggestive”, mentions of blood) +18, mdni.
Tumblr media
The hot water cascaded over Sang-wook and yourself, washing away the traces of your latest venture. The room echoed with the rhythmic sound of water droplets, punctuating the silence between the couple. As the steam rose around you both, the chilling memory of the night's grisly loss still lingered in your minds.
The scars on Sang-wook's body bore witness to a shattered past and heated desire to survive, yet it was you who understood the unspoken language of his pain. In the midst of the cascading water, your bodies pressed together, and the world you shared seemed to momentarily dissolve. Yet, danger was a constant companion, even in the quiet solace of your combined sanctuary.
Exiting the shower, Sang-wook’s eyes met a tattoo etched along his lover’s back, the ink stained a message onto your skin. The message, written with a delicate yet bold hand, read: "In the dance of shadows, love remains our deadliest weapon."
Your eyes met Sang-wook's, and a knowing smile played on your lips as you knew Sang-wook’s eyes had been on that specific tattoo. You’d become entangled in a game where every move was a calculated risk, and passion was the thread weaving their fates. The note was a reminder that, amidst the bloodstained paths you walked, yet love remained an indomitable force.
As you both dried each other off, the outside world seemed distant, drowned by the intimacy of the shared existence. The air crackled with the charged energy of two souls bound by choice, not circumstance. The night had claimed its toll, but in the quiet of your home, both you and Sang-wook discovered solace in the warmth of each other's arms.

trouble in paradise -> eun-hyeok, eun-yu, jae-heon, sang-wook + ???
a/n: still not over sweet home season 3....or s2....or s1...so i got to thinkin of some fun lil scenes <3 and i did my last exam today so yaaaay!
(cws: GN pronouns, major sweet home spoilers s1-3, mild angst in some places, some established relationships, implied lewds, minor lover's quarrels, a teensy smidgen of yandereness, short & sweet <3)
Lee Eun-hyeok
Tumblr media
“Are we going to talk about it?”
“Nope.”
Each step he climbed would’ve made him hesitate–god only knew what could be lurking around the upper floors of Green Home–but when he was following after you, he seemed almost nonchalant. If not for the slightest furrow of his brow and the quiet dip in his stern voice, you might be convinced he was arguing about dinner plans rather than a fate of life or death.
“Stop running away from me.” Eventually he caught up, and yanked on your wrist with a firm grasp that stopped you at the top of the landing. The second floor was only half a staircase away, and the nerves finally showed in the quickening of his breath, a slight swallow around the lump in his throat that made his adam’s apple bob.
“I’m not running,” You insisted, albeit coldly, as you stared back down at him. “I’m getting away from the person who’s annoying me right now. Which just so happens to be you.” Eun-hyeok sighed in that mild, barely-bothered way of his, like it was too much to even huff wholeheartedly.
“You know how I feel about you.”
“Do I? You’ve never said it.” His grip tightened. “Why does it matter, anyways?”
“You know why.”
How typical. It always bothered you that Eun-hyeok acted like you should know everything that he did, and even when you did, he never praised you for it and often he barely acknowledged it at all, unless you forced him to. He was uptight and cold and stern, annoying and awkward and always made you feel like you were an idiot, even when he was the one being stupid.
So the warmth of his hand on your wrist shouldn’t have made you feel so hot in the chest, nor should it draw you to him as he stepped up the last few stairs and towered over you on the landing.
“You’re too tall, idiot.” You muttered under your breath.
“Make me shorter, then.” He answered, a half-smile threatening to cross his lips, but he was still too annoyed at you for volunteering to sweep the second floor yourself to show it. He wouldn’t give you even a modicum of satisfaction for going against the unspoken pact you made with him, however unknowingly; If I care about you, then don’t put yourself in harm’s way.
But honestly, he was so easy to take off guard. The gentle graze of your fingertips against his cheek loosened his grip on you in an instant, his hold growing slack the longer you looked him in the eyes. For someone so stuck-up and strict, his were surprisingly soft, almost wet like the baleful, brown gaze of a puppy-dog’s. He leaned in to your hands cupping his face, his touch lingering on your arm, and the kiss you shared–though brief–moulded a brush of chapped lips on warm ones to a silent agreement. I love you even though I can’t say it, I care for you in egregious ways, and with that in mind, let’s never speak of this to the others. The kiss hadn’t broken for more than five seconds before he opened his big mouth again.
“...At least wait for Hyun-su to return. He can go by himself.”
“Oh, for god’s sakes.” You rolled your eyes, and begrudgingly showed no resistance as he walked you back down the steps, his hand tightly clamped over yours.
Lee Eun-yu
Tumblr media
The last time she looked back at your bunk, she clearly must've thought you were there. Because when you showed up just inside the entrance to the back way out of the stadium, Eun-yu startled and nearly whacked you when the beam of her flashlight panned over your disapproving face.
“Shit,” She gasped, only faltering for a moment before she huffed at the sight of you and lowered the light from your eyes. “Where the hell did you come from?”
“The better question is: where the hell are you going?” Your scowl nearly stung as much as your arms crossing over your chest. You were so pretty when you were mad, she thought, but she had no idea of the storm you were ready to unleash on her for sneaking out of the stadium. Again. “Eun-yu.” You reminded her sternly. She clicked off the flashlight and met your eyes in the dark before she answered.
“It's dangerous down here. Go back up.” She moved to step past you, only to be stopped by your hand on her arm.
“You think you can get rid of me that easy?” The fact that you felt brave enough to step back in front of her and block her way spoke volumes. Anyone else in the stadium's commune would avoid Eun-yu at every opportunity, for fear of her reputation and what she may do if she got angry.
Your relationship with her, however, spanned much deeper and closer than that. You spent time together, shared your feelings–she talked and cried to you about her brother, her family, and you spilled your secrets to her when you shared a quiet bunk together or a rare morning outside. She would reach for you when she slept and you found yourselves growing so close, so reliant on one another, that Chief Ji would punish you with fewer rations when Eun-yu pissed her off. Your girlfriend would just give you hers anyways or share from the stash she kept from her exploits outside, but it still widened the gap and nurtured the growing disdain they had for each other whenever Ji got you involved.
Eun-yu's expression soured in the dim light; she didn't have the stomach to push you off or shove you aside, but she certainly wouldn't be stopped when she had a goal in mind–at least not easily.
“At least let me come with you-”
“No!” She cried out of instinct, shaking her head furiously as she cut you off. “I-I need you to wait here for me. I need you to be here when I get back. You can't come–it's too dangerous.”
“And it's not dangerous for you?” The instant she opened her mouth to refute that, you clicked your tongue and released her arm from your tight grasp. “You're ridiculous. You're not invincible, Eun-yu. One of these days you're going to die out there, and I'll have to be the one sneaking out to go bring back your corpse!”
Just as those words echoed down the dark, humid tunnel, the sounds of footsteps approaching sent Eun-yu crashing into you. She grabbed you sideways and thrust you up against the wall, out of sight, slotting her body up as close as she could get against yours while her hand remained clamped over your mouth. You waited with your breath held back in your throat for whoever it was to pass by, the whole time trying not to think of how warm she was against you or how many nights you'd spent identical to this. Eun-yu's weight pinning you down, her hand covering your mouth, whispering sweet reminders in your ear to keep quiet as she brought you to the edge over, and over, and over again. Privacy was so scarce, and when she got the chance to tug a tarp or a blanket over your bunk and get a taste of you, she took it.
That's exactly what she must've felt as she finally pulled away, the benign footsteps having disappeared down the corridor. Because she barely slid her hand off your mouth and even when she did, she slipped a finger inside and smirked when you nipped at it. “Cute.”
“You're not off the hook, you know.” You whispered back, spit smeared over your chin from her digits grazing down towards your chest. Despite struggling to keep your head higher, Eun-yu was so hard to resist when she wanted you to relinquish that high-and-mighty attitude of yours. Your breath hitched as she squeezed you through your shirt, and hers tickled against your wet skin with a murmur into your mouth.
“I know.”
And just like that, she practically strolled away and left you high and dry, still panting and warm-faced from the closeness you so rarely had the opportunity to share. At your huffing behind her, she flicked a cheeky smile over her shoulder and waved, which only led her to chuckle when you flipped the bird in reply and moved to clamber back through the passageway's opening. One of these days, you wouldn't keep falling for her tricks–but that day was definitely not today.
Jung Jae-heon
Tumblr media
“Hello, darling.” Being sweet again, was he? “I brought you some tea.”
You hummed in acknowledgement, but didn't bother to peer up from your book. Truthfully, you had just been flipping through pages absentmindedly for a while–it was just some old manual for the security system terminal that you could barely decipher. Not that you were really trying, anyways. Jae-heon, as magnanimous, faithful, and devoted as he was, had crossed the line this time.
The secret stash of ice cream you had been keeping in your cooler–saved with care for the literal end of the world–had fallen victim to the two children who joined you on the first floor fort. He knew you kept that particular brand for special occasions, and what better occasion for a nostalgic flavour than the apocalypse? But Jae-heon was aware of that too and he still let the children eat it. Granted, he told you right away, but it still pissed you off and rightfully so.
Your partner sighed and set the teacup down, took his seat in the chair by your spot, and pushed his glasses further up the bridge of his nose before he wrung his hands together. “How can I make this up to you?” He seemed genuinely remorseful for what he'd done, and although it was indeed trivial, he knew as well as anyone else here that the little things were sacred these days. Everyone was on edge at all times, so for the godly man you loved to turn on you really did hurt your feelings in the moment, even though you knew he didn't mean it. He was only being kind to the others, which you were still glad to say was one of his only flaws in your partnership; a generosity that spanned too far for some of the people he offered it to.
In all honesty, you were over it already and just wanted to squeeze a little more of his attention out of him. But you weren't a heartless person, you wouldn't make him suffer much longer–you turned your head to peer over at him, and spoke with a deadpan that you knew would throw him off.
“Premarital sex.”
Taken aback, he stuttered out an “I'm–I'm sorry?” and looked at you with wide eyes. You shrugged, and turned your attention back to your book.
“You heard me. I want your innocence.”
“I-I'm not a virgin, my darling.” Jae-heon's answer was clearly puzzled, and there was no better way to take advantage of it. You rolled your eyes in mock-surprise and slung an insult back his way.
“You whore. I thought you would save yourself for me–now you owe me even more.” With a click of your tongue, you made no effort to mask the sarcastic smile on your lips as you teased him.
“Language, darling. But…that seems like a fair exchange.” He finally answered. You shot up in your seat with a “Huh?”, the manual quickly forgotten and abandoned in your lap. Jae-heon folded his hands over the gap between his parted knees and looked away, unable to meet your eyes. But you knew you heard it, and he knew that you knew.
“You want to sleep with me?” You blurted out, and at your embarrassment and the clap of your hands over your mouth he finally laughed the tension away.
“Of course I–I do, my darling, I do.” He sat up straight in an attempt to regain his composure, clearly trying not to get too excited. “Since we first met, in fact. I spent many nights–ah, well, we don't have to speak of that.” He flushed darkly up to his ears.
“No, tell me!” You insisted, hopping off the couch to kneel in front of him, grasping at his clasped hands. He leaned back and cleared his throat, averted his eyes, closed his legs, anything and everything to hide the surge of desire that just coursed through him because of the contact. “You have to tell me. Please?”
“No, no, never mind.”
“Jae-heon!”
“All in due time.” He smiled down the bridge of his glasses. “To practice patience is god's will. But I'm…happy you're excited. Very happy.” A gentle pat on your head to steady you, he leaned down far for a kiss. Careful, gentle, and as soft as butterfly wings on your lips…you could only imagine what those kisses would feel like more intimately, and how he would treat you with such reverence under the covers as he did in all other aspects of life.
But it was as he said. Just a matter of time.
Pyeon Sang-wook
Tumblr media
The first time you met Sang-wook, he reeked of nothing but smoke and spiced cologne.
It was no surprise that it had been an elevator ride that you'd first sensed him; he stood too tall and the space too cramped to not notice his presence, and all the sensations that hung in the air around him. A plastic bag swished at the side of his loose pants, held low and heavy with rolls and rolls of what looked like duct tape. You couldn't help but wonder at the time; what in the world did he need all that for? But you had heard of a man with a burnt face who worked as a gangster, and that fact alone was enough to shut you up and keep you quiet for the duration of that silent elevator ride. You politely nodded your head and smiled at him as you exited, purely out of courtesy, and that was all you'd seen of him until now.
You never thought you would be so glad to see the gangster show up at the end of the hall, his eyes wild with rage as he wrestled with the man that had chased and stalked you up three whole floors. You'd met your neighbour only in passing and didn't know much about him, just that he seemed polite and a bit awkward, but that façade melted away in an instant when he stumbled upon you in the corridor alone. His unnerving attempts to lure you into his apartment set off your alarm bells, so when he lunged forward to grab you and only missed by a hair, you didn't hesitate to start running as he chased you with a sledgehammer. By the time Sang-wook came to your rescue, you really thought you were as good as dead.
It was even more awkward to follow him down the steps of the fire escape afterwards, silently reconciling with the fact that you had just watched this man kill another person in brutal fashion. Sure, the world had changed practically overnight, but you still weren't used to the monsters–even those that resided inside the bodies of your fellow man.
By comparison, Sang-wook waited on every landing for you to catch up. Although he was quiet and scary-looking, he offered you a hand down the rickety, unstable stairs and braced your arm as you wobbled. How someone with so much rage in his body could be so gentle, when he just painted the walls of the upper hallway with crimson, was by itself a staggering revelation.
“Be careful.” He mumbled under his breath, and nodded his head towards the overgrown vines in your path. With his help, you safely stepped over them–you didn't even want to imagine how far the fall would be if you tripped and went tumbling over the railing.
“You should take your own advice.” You finally spoke up, which seemed to take him somewhat by surprise, even if it was just a silent raise of his eyebrows. “You're pretty reckless.” Sang-wook shrugged, and kept on his way. Though there were much fewer obstacles the further down you got, he still walked a step ahead to guide you down unhindered.
“You would be dead otherwise.” Good point. “Or worse.”
“Either way, thank you.” You squeezed his arm as the framing jiggled with the breeze, too frozen with nerves to keep going until it stopped again. And he didn't let go of you either until it did. “If there's anything you want in exchange, just ask.”
“I don't need anything.” He shook his head resolutely. Funny that this was the most you'd heard him talk in all the time you'd spent living in the same building as him.
“Really? Are you sure?” You held out your hand to offer the ring off your finger, which had been a gift and likely one of the most expensive things you owned, which wasn't saying much. He brushed off the offer and kept moving down the railing, his eyes not even in the vicinity of looking at it. What a stubborn guy. Out of curiosity, you threw out a slew of other things he might want as a reward; money, food, cigarettes, even sex, and he rejected each and every one of them without even thinking about it–except for the last one, which he almost seemed to ponder with a quick glance at you and then back to the stairs. It was actually getting a bit frustrating that he seemingly had no motives for saving your life, aside from the conscience of a good Samaritan that you would be shocked to find in as heartless of a murderer as he proved to be. Finally, you got to the last landing of the fire escape, and the door that led into the first floor sanctuary he mentioned in passing, but aside from holding it open for you he made no move to follow.
“Aren't you coming?” You cocked your head, puzzled. The absence of any reaction save for a slight shake of his head told you all you needed to know. In the heat of the moment, you stepped back out on to the landing with him and shut the door behind you, leaving him standing uncomfortably close–but not quite close enough for him to move away. “Where are we going, then?”
“You're not going anywhere.” He grunted. “Stay here.”
“No.”
“Do it.”
“I refuse.”
Sang-wook huffed, shoved the door open again, and pushed you in with a firm hand on the small of your back. Your feet flailed and slid beneath you as you stumbled into the corridor, and too fast for you to swing around in time, the door slammed shut in your face before you could get back out. He ignored the thudding of your fist and your voice ringing out in protest, the fire escape squeaking further and further away as he climbed back up the stairs.
Fine. Be that way. You rolled your eyes, but out of your peripheral you spotted the set of doors down the hall that led to the interior staircase, and the idea hit you too soon for you not to hurry towards it. You'd surely find a way to squeeze what he wanted out of him, whether he wanted to admit it or not…and besides, who better to stick next to in a dangerous situation than the most dangerous man in Green Home?
Lee Eun-hyeok (neohuman)
Tumblr media
“I recognize you.” The man above you murmured, his gaze intense but his tone void of any real emotion. If you didn’t know any better, you would assume he was a human. But humans didn’t move so fast, heal so quickly, and walk the streets of the world freely without any fear of monsters, all three of which you’d seen him do in the last ten minutes of tracking him.
It had Eun-hyeok’s face, but it was impossible to tell whether it was really Eun-hyeok. That boy who had come along with the raiders at the apartments could roam around with a human body, so who was to say there wasn’t another monster who could do the same with a familiar face?
“I-I don’t know you,” You panicked, and the monster scoffed. He only stood over you, having dragged you out from behind the car you’d been watching him from, and the street was wide and long. You could scramble up to your feet and run away if you tried…and only if he wasn’t interested in chasing you, which he didn’t seem to be.
“You shouldn’t lie to me.” His shoe scraped on the pavement, which made you jump at the noise alone. You were so startled, so afraid, with that shocked expression on your face. There was no way you didn’t know him. It just simply wasn’t possible. “Come on. If you want to play hide-and-seek with me, then you should at least hide better.” The false Eun-hyeok got down on one knee, and leaned over so far his lips just barely brushed the shell of your ear as he whispered.
“I remember the sounds we made together. I know what your flesh feels like,” His hand hovered over your calf, careful to grip it so he wouldn’t break a bone by mistake. The way he touched it alone was far too familiar for comfort, and sent shockwaves up your leg that you forced yourself to ignore. “-The way you kiss me when you reach the edge. You can’t lie to me. I know everything about you.”
“No you don’t,” You shoved at his chest, breaking the contact between you that was sparking closer and closer to an all-consuming blaze. Eun-hyeok’s face stared back at you, unbothered and emotionless, but not quite cold. That wouldn’t account for the heat in his stare that was only slightly dissipating. “You’re not Eun-hyeok. Not even close.”
“I’m as close as you can get.” He murmured back, holding your gaze for so long you wondered if he would just reach out and kill you with one hand–but he didn’t. Eventually, he got to his feet, and effortlessly held out a hand for you to take. “Either you come with me, or I let you die.”
“I would rather die.”
“Don’t be stupid.”
“You’re the stupid one if you think I’m gonna trust you.” Eun-hyeok’s clone sighed, and drew back his hand. “Fair enough,” he muttered under his breath, and you figured he would end it there, leave, and let you wonder for the rest of your life whether or not you had rebuffed the real Eun-hyeok, the one that you wished you never had to leave behind. But not so, because in nothing more than a moment, Eun-hyeok lifted you off the ground like a child and slung you over his shoulder to start walking.
“Hey!” You shrieked, pounding on his back with your fists while your legs threatened to thrash–though he held them tight with his free arm to keep you from hitting him in the face. “Let me go! Eun-hyeok!”
“I changed my mind. You’re not free to go.” He replied over his shoulder, and gave you a light smack on the thigh as you continued to wiggle. Little did you notice the smart half-smirk that crept across his face as he led onwards, and it was better that you didn’t. You wouldn’t want to know of all the things he planned to do with his new body, once it finally clicked for you that this Eun-hyeok would always be yours.

Pyeon sang-wook x GN! reader

Pyeon sang-wook was always a man of few words and actions. He always believed relationships to be unimportant. Especially now.
Sometimes, he didn't want friendships either. He liked being alone, at least most of the time.
There had been times when he'd thought of getting up and joining the others during "dinner" but he was afraid. Afraid of what they saw him as. A monster, a murderer.
So even if he actually wanted a friendship (or more), he didn't have anywhere to start. Well, that's not entirely true. But again, he was afraid. Of what? He wasn't sure either.
But he knew that you'd be his starting point. Though he didn't know how long he had, since he never showed any signs of accepting your silent invitation to a friendship. You'd been there for him since he joined the group, everyone was afraid of him, made remarks about his scars.
But you didn't. You never said anything bad about him, he even heard you defend him once. You'd defended him multiple times. He just happened to have heard you once.
..
"Oh my god... I can't stand seeing his face. It looks so scary... Who knows what it's from?" The lady with the dog had said.
He'd heard her, but just as he was about to get up and leave, he heard you too.
"With all due respect. You don't know what it's from. And you shouldn't judge. You're a full grown adult woman. And yet you still make assumptions based on someone's appearance." It was what you had said to her.
He left after hearing that. A small smile formed on his face, which he forced down after realising.
..
Right now it was dinner time, he had stopped eating with everyone a while ago. He didn't mind not eating, but you did. You'd always get him a plate and find him, wherever he was.
He was sitting in the grave room, staring at the ground, when you walked in. You walked over and kneeled down in front of him, handing him his food. You had learned not to try to start a conversation, he wasn't much of a talker. You noticed.
You sat by him, leaving enough space for him to be comfortable. And started to eat.
Imagine your surprise when you heard his voice. Directed towards you. "Why don't you hate me? Like everyone else. I don't need pity."
You shook your head and moved closer. "I don't pity you. I know you can handle yourself. I just cannot stand seeing people be treated in a way they don't deserve. And you don't deserve to be seen as a scary murderer. Even if you don't think that."
He raised a brow at your words, still not looking at you. "I murdered someone. With a hammer right in front of you." He pointed out the obvious.
You turned fully towards him, placing your food down and sitting crisscross. "Most people here are scared of you because they believe the man you killed was innocent."
Now interested in where this was going, he turned his upper body to face you. "And you don't?" He questioned.
"I've lived here since I was little. I remember when he moved in, when my mum sent me to bring him a cake as a welcome gift, and when I found his door open and walked inside that room..." You hoped he'd understand; you hoped he'd seen the room, and you didn't have to explain.
And based on his reaction, he did. His eyes widened—the most obvious showcase of emotions you've ever seen from him.
"I've never run out of a room faster in my life." You chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. But he just shook his head.
He was glad someone understood him. You stood up. Stretching. "You should eat." You pointed out before going towards the door, but before you exited, you turned back. "Oh, and if you ever need anyone to talk to, it shouldn't be too hard to find me."
..
About a week passed, and he did talk to you almost every day. Even though they were just general chats, it felt good for him to be able to talk freely to someone again.
Right now, you sat there, talking about what you did before this whole ordeal.
Well, more like him hearing you talk. But he didn't mind; he loved listening to your stories.
But your talking was cut short by a terrible screech coming from the hall, accompanied by Su Yeong's screaming.
Immediately, you stood up and rushed over, seeing Mr. Han shooting at the spider like monster that was chasing the young girl. You rushed and picked her up. "Come on!"
You shouted to Mr. Han, who followed you as fast as he could in his wheelchair.
You ran down a ramp, but Mr. Han's wheelchair got stuck, and he fell off of it. You placed Su-Yeong down and told her to go into the room where you previously were with Sang-Wook.
She wanted to help Mr. Han, but you assured her that you'd help him, and she rushed off into the room. You heard her crying to Sang-Wook. Asking for his help.
You spun around on your heel and bent down, helping Mr. Han back into his wheelchair. You ushered him inside the room as well. As soon as he entered the room, the monster quickly jumped on you, stabbing one of its legs into your torso.
You screamed out in pain, but you fought back as much as you could. But the pain was unbearable. You were about to pass out, and the last thing you saw was Cha Hyun-Soo coming to your rescue, and you heard Su-Yeong screaming, everyone else gasping, and Sang-Wook calling out to you. Then it all went black.
Once you regained consciousness, you saw Yu-ri sitting next to you, patching you up.
"Oh, you're up. How are you feeling?" She asked as she finished up her work on your wound.
"Could be better. What happened?" She patted your shoulder, told you about how Hyun-Soo had killed the monster, and assured you that everyone was safe.
You let out a sigh of relief, closing your eyes for a moment before opening them again. But you were met with a different face.
Sang-wook was sitting in Yu-ri's place, and you heard the door close. He looked genuinely worried, which made you smile and sit up. With his help, you managed to rest your back on the wall behind you.
"What were you thinking, huh? You could've died." He didn't sound angry at all. You simply placed a hand on his arm and answered.
"I could have, yes. But I would've been fine with it as long as Su-Yeong and Mr. Han didn't." He groaned at your response and sat next to you on the makeshift bed. Placing his hands on either side of you.
"You might have been okay with it. But I wouldn't." You went to speak, but he hushed you. "Listen to me. Never do something that stupid again."
You smirked and leaned closer. "And why do you care?" He scowled at you slightly. And without a verbal answer, he placed his lips on yours.
You were taken aback; you didn't expect it at all. But you weren't complaining. You've been spending a lot of time together. You would be lying if you said you hadn't developed some kind of feeling for the man.
"Is that a good enough reason for me to care?" He asked. He didn't have his usual cold and emotionless demeanour this time. He looked genuinely concerned, worried, and happy at the same time.
"It is." You said, and hugged the man.
This was an outcome you wouldn't have expected at all. Not the bad kind, though.

Silent Screaming
Pairing: Sangwook x GN!Reader (~ish) | Summary: The end of the world seems to have a way with breaking everyone down. No one is quite sure if that applies to him, but you're thinking it might. Words: 804 | Reading Time: ~3.5 mins Author's Note/*Warnings: This is my first time writing for Sweet Home or Pyeon Sangwook as a character, so please forgive me if the execution is not perfect as I ease into finding my space in this universe. *Warnings: Descriptions of violence, gore, injuries, and death, etc. as related to the themes of Sweet Home.

Green Home, for the first time since the end of the world, seemed quiet. There was a sort of calm in it, realizing that there could be time to catch your breath between screams and fights and bells and monsters. The only problems then, in the closest thing to silence you'd found since all of this started, were the thoughts that were finally allowed to creep in to your head.
You'd seen it first, and most often, with the group downstairs. Any time there seemed to be a moment of rest between everything going wrong, someone would find something to lose their heads about. The shop owner was the worst of them, constantly screaming about what was his and who was worth saving.
At first, the tall stranger hadn't seemed to care what anyone thought. He'd stalk through the room, cigarette hanging from his mouth and shoulders held high, carrying on with whatever business he had deemed important to himself. And then, after you had all seen him kill Yoon-jae with his own hands, it was like something snapped in him.
"Why did you do it?" You asked quietly, breaking the silence in the stockroom as he sits behind the counter. You'd been sitting in silence for a while now, watching dust settle as it fell from cracked ceiling tiles. You'd been surprised he'd let you sit in the same room at all, much less let you open a bottle of soju as you sat in the silence. He had simply looked at you after you spoke, no change in his expression, no sign that he would engage in the conversation at all.
"Why did you try to lock yourself outside of the gate?" You clarify the question, and you almost miss the way his eyes seem to change. His expression softens slightly, and he looks ahead again. The silence is long, and you are almost convinced that maybe you'd never said anything aloud.
"It's to keep the monsters out." his voice is low and rough, as if he hadn't used it in a while. You eyes are on him again in an instant, watching the way his face falls and his eyes fix to his hands.
"The gate?" Your words are met with silence again, forcing them into being rhetorical rather than a call for response.
It felt like a blow, realizing what he meant. You had been struck into a stupor that night, after watching him as he brought the hammer down again and again, seeing his skin stained with red before the man beneath him had stopped fighting. And then, a different kind of silence when you watched him stumble to his feet and drag the man out of the building and into the rain.
He had been shaking, stumbling over each step and struggling to stay upright at all after what they'd been through. And yet, he managed to pull Su-ung and Min-ju's bodies into the lobby of the building before walking back out into the rain, and beginning to pull the gate back down with himself outside.
He thought of himself as a monster. He had tried to lock himself out where he thought he belonged, and the realization makes your skin begin to burn with the need to tell him otherwise. To prove otherwise.
"You're not a monster." You refute what he hasn't said as you stand from the small table, walking toward the counter he sits at.
He keeps his head down, shaking it slightly as he busies his hands, pulling out a cigarette from a half-crushed box. He doesn't move to light it, he simply pulls it up and lets it fall again, then repeats the motion. You fight the urge to touch him, to set your hand on his shoulder as if it would provide some sort of comfort. To hold him as if he wasn't a stranger and you weren't yourself falling apart with every day that passes in this new world.
"Sangwook." Your voice is soft, gentle as it carries a name you're not sure you should say. You weren't even meant to know it, as far as you were aware.
He looks up instantly at the sound, whether out of surprise or anger you're not sure, but the expression on his face feels like another blow to the chest as his eyes meet yours. His eyebrows are pulled together, twitching slightly as he looks up at you with wide, wet eyes, lines of skin cleaned by tears shining slightly in the dim light.
"You are not a monster." You force the words out, knowing that they need to be said louder than whatever it was that was being repeated in his head. You were sure, because you had your own screaming in your head.
"You might be the most human thing here."

It had started with a simple nose bleed. Blood cascading down the lower half of her face, caking her skin in a thick crimson layer. No amount of tissue could plug the stream gushing out of her nose, it was never ending.
Soon came the voices and hallucinations. It was different from the usual times she would hear herself talk, this time it sounded disparate - distorted in a sense. Degrading and belittling her, telling her to give in to her sins and to let it cleanse her of all the negative thoughts and feelings swimming in the deep, dark pit of her chest.
Then there was quiet. Peace. Not a single breath could be heard. But it seemed a switch had been flipped, the painful screams ripping from her throat as a burning sensation overcame her body. It was like her body was set alight, fire coursing just below her skin and deep within her bones. It was like no other feeling she had ever experienced.
Soon followed darkness. Just an empty void. Her consciousness was locked away deep inside her mind, like her brain had put her on pause until further notice. Floating weightlessly within the depths of her mind, free from the thoughts and torment her own subconscious inflicted upon her.
Y/n shot up with a gasp, her skin was clammy with cold sweat. Her clothes clinging to her body as she pushed the damp locks away from her face. It was just a dream. It wasn’t real. Or so she kept telling herself. Her eyes were still clouded with sleep, blinking a few times as they slowly focused. The young girl looked around, breathing a sigh of relief once she took in the surroundings around her.
The day-care, on the ground level of Green Home, was packed tightly with the residents from the upper floors, all spread out on the floor sleeping somewhat peacefully. Y/n pushed herself up off the floor, carefully stepping over stretched out limbs as she trudged out of the room. The air was cold, something she wouldn't usually welcome but it was a big contrast to her burning skin. The young girl had sat on the floor of the lobby, staring out of the main doors enshrouded by the shutters as she took in the destruction outside the complex. Monsters roaming around carelessly, cars tipped over on their sides, buildings barely standing. It was the complete opposite of how the city looked a couple days ago.
Shuffling could be heard beside the girl, it was quiet but she still heard it. Y/n turned her head slowly to look at what, or who, was making the noise, only to see the brooding Pyeon Sang-Wook leaning against the wall beside her; a cigarette perched between his lips. Burn scars littered the side of his face, travelling down his neck tucking itself away into the collar of his leaf print shirt. No one knew much about Sang-Wook, he looked like a force to be reckoned with and that was enough for the other residents to steer clear of him, though not the younger Lee sibling. Eun-Yu could be seen trailing behind the man every chance she had, it was endearing in an odd sort of way.
Y/n turned back around, ignoring him like she did with everyone else. She was an antisocial little thing, keeping to herself even while the world ended in front of her very eyes. The only person she seemed to tolerate was Cha Hyun-Su and still, it was to a bare minimum. The pair never really talked, instead she would sit outside the door to the room he had been locked away in, staring at him like he was some kind of science experiment. She didn't care he was part monster, no, she was intrigued by it.
Sang-Wook eyed the young girl, deep brown irises taking in the side of her face that was on view for him to see. Deep purple bags kissing below her eyes, making them look sunken. Her skin looked pale, but maybe that was just down to being locked inside the complex with near to no sunlight. The older man was quiet, observing her like she was nothing he had ever seen before.
"Even if the world has ended, you could still have some manners and not stare." Y/n spoke up, her voice a little gravely. She didn't need to look at him to know the exact look on his face. Eyebrows knitted together ever so slightly, his jaw ticked faintly that even someone with 20/20 vision wouldn't be able to pick it up. Sang-Wook scoffed, taking a long drag of his cigarette though he didn't speak, he never did. It was something Y/n loathed. The young girl huffed, turning her whole body to face Sang-Wook as she stared up at him.
"The scars. How did you get them?" She spoke up once more, this was the first time she had spoken more than one sentence to anyone in Green Home. Her eye's were trained on the older man, almost taunting him as she leaned forward on her elbows. Sang-Wook still didn't answer, just looking at her with a blank expression. The pair were interrupted from their mini staring contest by Lee Eun-Hyuk, the appointed leader of Green Home.
His glasses sat snuggly on the bridge of his nose as he looked between the two with a knowing gaze, his honey brown eyes locking onto Y/n's face for a moment before he looked away. "Why are you awake?" And there it was, the tone of pure annoyance. Y/n looked up at Eun-Hyuk quizzically, her head tilted to the side as if she didn't know what he was talking about. Though she didn't utter a single word, opting for staying quiet as she turn back around to peer out between the shutters once more.
Tumblr media
It had been approximately four days since the outbreak. The residents of Green Home all crowding around together in the lobby as Eun-Hyuk explained the buddy system to everyone, telling them they always had to have their counterpart with them at all times in case a monster somehow got into the building. Y/n had the unfortunate pleasure of being paired up with Eun-Hyuk himself, saying something along the lines of "I don't trust you can take care of yourself." Which had earned an irritated grumble from the girl, muttering insults under her breath as she slumped back against the steps leading up to the now blocked stairwell.
It wasn't that she hated Eun-Hyuk, she just didn't believe in his views or entirely like how he lead the group of survivors but like she could do any better. The young girl trailed behind Eun-Hyuk, her hands shoved into the pockets of the dirtied hoodie that barely fit her. She followed the older Lee sibling everywhere, from the security office all the way to the bathroom where she stood outside tapping her foot impatiently, and yet she still didn't talk. That was until she saw fit.
Everyone was chilling in the day-care, opening the packages they had gotten before the lockdown had happened. Chatting away about what they would do once everything was back to normal. Just outside the room though, Eun-Hyuk was talking with Hyun-Su, Sang-Wook and Yi-Kyeong about going down into the garage to see if there was a way out. Y/n was leaning against one of the walls, listening in on the conversation.
"I want to go. I know where they keep the keys to the cars down there." She spoke up, her voice just loud enough for the group to turn around and look at her in shock. "Not happening." Eun-Hyuk was the first to say anything, his eyebrows knitted together as he scowled at the girl. "If you're going down there then I have to too, buddy." Sarcasm laced her tone as she spoke, her eyes glaring at Eun-Hyuk slightly. And just like that, she had been accepted as part of their little group of monster hunters.

~ Chapter 2. 01 ~
I apologize in advance for any spelling or grammar mistakes and how poorly written this fanfic is. English is not my first language and together with my dyslexia ass things can go wrong I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
I took out my phone trying to see if it was working now, but when I put it against my ear the same annoying pitch sound came through.
"Goddamnit!" I groan out putting my phone next to me before putting my head in my hands.
I jumped almost out of my skin when I heard a groan from beside me. For a second I thought that somehow the girl had found a way to come in, but luckily it was just Hyun-su waking up.
His eyes flutter open blinking a few times before being fully open. I watch as his hand when to his head, probably on the spot he hit the ground with.
"A....are you, okay?"
With wide eyes, he turned his head at me. It took him a few seconds to recognize me, but quickly his expression changed to his usual emotionless one.
"Yeah." Carefully he sat up still holding his head.
"W...what happened to the woman?" His eyes went from the ground to meet mine trying to find an answer in them, but the only I did was shrug.
"I don't know. I haven't seen or heard her ever since I dragged you back here."
A frown came on his face.
"D...drag? What happened?"
Again I shrug my shoulders.
"Again I don't know. When I came around the corner you were on the ground with a man standing next to you, but I don't think he did something to you." He nodded his head trying to process everything that had just happened.
"H....how long was I out."
"Around eight hours or so."
I stood up stretching my legs while looking around the room. There was almost nothing here. A mattress and the computer from earlier, The only other thing that was in the room were empty ramyeon cups..... a lot.
The curtains were also closed making it here more darker than it should be.
"Can I open a window? I just need some air."
I don't really think he had heard what I said because he was still looking down in his thoughts, but he still nodded his head. With my socks, I walked next to him on the mattress to open the window. I was so happy I could get some fresh air, but the moment I pulled the curtains away my heart completely stopped.
"Oh my God," I mutter out of shock.
"What?" I heard Hyun-su say from beside me, but I didn't answer him.
I was just too in shock at what I was seeing in front of me with my eyes. When I didn't give him an answer I felt him stand up taking one curtain out of my hand so he could open it more to see for himself. Even though my eyes weren't on him I could feel him freeze when he saw what I saw.
The whole city was in ruins. Smoke rose up from corners in between the building. The things that were nearby and we could see from above were destroyed completely. The sound of sirens came from everywhere. It looked like the end of the world was upon us.
A dripping sound dragged me out of my thoughts and made me look down. There was blood dripping down at our feet.
Wait?
What?
I looked up at Hyun-su and saw blood coming out of his nose.
A lot just like with the girl.
"Y....you're bleeding." I croak out getting his attention.
His hand went to his nose trying to cover it, but it was no use it kept on coming out. He took a few steps back still covering his nose. His eyes were wide open looking at me like he was a kid scared of something.
"Go to the bathroom! Quick!" I told him loudly.
Listening to me, he turned around walking with a quick pass to it with his hand still on his nose. I watched as he left a trail of blood players on the ground. It reminds me of my nosebleeds and how much I have stained my floor with them.
That's when a thought came into my head. I look up at where the bathroom is, hearing the water running.
He has the symptoms I have been having for the past week. They are also the same as what they describe on the computer. My head turns back to the screen debating if I should look again. I could still hear the water running in the bathroom, besides I don't think he minds me being on the computer if it is for looking up answers.
Turning the screen on, I took a seat in front of it. There were those words again. Nosebleed, infected, and so on. I was about to click on a link when Hyun-su's made me jump back.
"What are you doing?" With my hand on my chest, I look up at him before answering.
"Searching for answers. It's not just happening here." My gaze went back to the screen finally opening the link.
I felt Hyun-su moving over to be me before sitting down. With a fast-beating heart, I began to read.
'It's not a disease, but a curse.'
What? A frown came to my face before reading further.
'Frequent nosebleeds, hallucinations.'
I don't think I had hallucinations in the last couple of weeks only nightmares.
'It just started one day and it will never stop. No known the cause.'
I bite my lip knowing that they can't find something to stop it if they don't what started it, but just like it said. It's not a disease.
It's a curse.
I took a deep breath before reading further.
'Humans will not overcome this. If you have symptoms kill yourself before it's too late. Because being alive will harm others.'
From the corner of my eyes, I watch Hyun-su tense up probably reading the same part as me. My attention went back to the screen, ready to read further.
'But if you decide to live to the end, there is something you must know.'
Quickly I scroll further down.
'That is.'
The moment I wanted to scroll down further the page disappeared.
"What the hell?" I mutter out.
A different page came on the screen telling us there was no connection with the internet. My hands let go of the computer mouse, putting them in my lap. So there is nothing we can really do about this? It's meant to destroy us all eventually. Hyun-su grabbed the mouse clicking rapidly on it, trying to refresh the page.
Swallowing hard I ran a hand through my hair shaking my head.
"That's it?" I whisper to no one particularly.
For a few seconds, we just sat there looking at the screen in front of us, until we heard one of our stomachs growl. I look down putting my hand on my belly before looking back up to meet Hyun-su's eyes.
"Sorry. I hadn't really eaten something since yesterday afternoon." I apologize.
Maybe I could go to my place and grab something real quick. I'm pretty sure he would be hungry too. This was confirmed when Hyun-su's stomach growled too. And seeing all the ramyeon packages lying around here, I'm pretty sure he hasn't eaten anything decent in a while. I stood up and began to walk to the door.
"Wait! Where are you going?" I turned around and saw him standing up as well.
"I'm going down to my place to get us something to eat." I was about to turn around when he spoke again.
"No, wait." He walked up to me looking at the door.
"I think my delivery is still outside." I look at the door with a frown.
I didn't see something lying there yesterday. Then again I was almost killed by a crazy woman, so I didn't have the time to look around.
"Stay here. I'm pretty sure no one's out there." Before I could answer he walked to the door opening it slightly.
I took a step to the side crossing my arms over my chest.
"After that we...." I started speaking but abruptly stopped when the ringing in my ears started again together with the awful feeling in my stomach.
Quickly I spun back around ready to tell Hyun-su to shut the door when I saw him crouch down to the ground while two grey-looking arms came through the doorway, with one on each hand with long pointy fingers. His head was half gone making it so you could see his brain, well half his brain. That looked like lotus roots. He only had one ear, while the other one was cut off clean just like half of his face.
"I can't see." It whispers groans, walking inside the apartment. Just like Hyun-su, I put my two hands over my mouth trying to be as quiet as possible. The monster was trying to feel around if someone was there while muttering the same sentence.
"I can't see." My heart began to beat faster when I saw him walking in my direction.
Quickly, but carefully to not make any noise I crouch down. My hands were shaking over my mouth while I could feel tears filling my eyes because of fright. The monster still came closer to me, trying to feel around above me.
With my panicked eyes, I looked at Hyun-su who had the same expression on his face. I saw him look around before his gaze fell on the stick from last night.
My eyes widened when I saw him trying to grab it, which I quickly shook my head at. It would make too much noise. The beating of my heart stopped when he grabbed it and a little noise came from picking it up.
"Found you." It croaks out.
I had sworn he was about to launch at Hyun-su when a cracking sound came from one of the announcement speakers above him. My breath hitched in my throat when I saw that the monster's hand had turned into what looked like a root spearing it through the speaker above Hyun-su.
After what seemed like an eternity the monster finally began to move again. It shuffled his way past Hyun-su still muttering I can't see. A big sigh left my mouth when I fell completely to the ground. My legs were all cramped up from sitting in a crouch position for too long. I heard the door close shut, which made me feel a little bit safer.

Status: Online (again) after 20 years…
Sangwook x Reader (Sweet Home Roommate AU)
Tumblr media
I fear that he is going to be the death of me. My mind reverts back to that of a high school girl — giddy and nearly flustered every time he passed by. I’m not sure what began this obsession, for it seemed almost spontaneous. Perhaps it was those moments we shared during the movie that we decided to see when we both were bored on Valentine’s Day. Or perhaps it was the nights we spent taking care of one another while seemingly intoxicated, the nights differing. Or maybe, just maybe, it was the intimate tension that is forever lingering in the apartment. A glimpse of his nude body in the shower, a suggestive comment passed between us, or a position held in close proximity to one another; so close that I could feel his heart beating against the cavity of his ribcage. When the day breaks, my mind is forever in hypnosis. However, it is when the night falls and my vision is bright. With free dreaming, a clear image is in focus….
His looming figure and chains that are locked tight.
My back remained flushed to the satin sheets beneath me. Large hands roamed my frame, taking hold of my hips as he guided himself along my sensitive rim. My eyes rolled into the back of my head, breathless moans falling from my lips as his V line pressed against the fat of my thighs. It was as if he had me under a curse that I couldn’t break — With a just a few thrusts, I was at his mercy. His lips lingered on mine, the faint smell of cigarette smoke was intoxicating yet so sweet. When freed, my hands felt along the burn marks that riddled his upper body, tracing every crack and worn-out scar and burn mark with passion and desperation.
“This is just round 1.” The words fell from his lips, his tone dripping like sweet honey on a warm crepe. His hips proceeded to grind into my inner thighs, his throbbing manhood slipping in and out of my heat — the feeling alone was enough to make me lose control over my every sense.
“Please Sangwook…” *I whimpered in a desperate and needy voice, my chest heaving up and down. My eyes glossy as they met his hardened pupils and a small smirk on his lips only made the muscles within my stomach tighten. He kept pressing forward, his body rutting into mine with such ease and quickness. Adrenaline was pumping all throughout my body and the coil in my stomach was getting tighter. We were so close to the brink of perfect ecstasy, so close to climax. So damn close…
It was then that sound of the front door to the apartment opened, alerting him that you had arrived back from the convenience store down the street. Immediately, he placed the book back into the drawer where it was originally placed, attempting to snap himself out of the lust filled fantasy that you had written within the confinements of your private entries. Walking out of your room, you had placed your purchases on the countertop of the kitchen. You hadn’t noticed him leaving your room, though you didn’t question his quiet and stoic nature. After all, you were used to it by now.

He’d been too focused on watching his cigarette smoke make designs in the air to notice you’d been standing at the bottom of the stairs for some time. He sat on the top step with his legs spread, grimacing. Then again, he always had some sort of a frown on his face. Like he was constantly deep in thought. Except this time, he actually was.
Sangwook stiffened at your whistle. He finally noticed you standing at the bottom step, arms crossed and looking up at him unexpectedly.
“You must be pretty deep in thought to not notice I’ve been standing here,” you said, head tilting to the side as if to examine him further.
He looked down at you, unimpressed. You looked small from where he was sitting.
When he didn’t end up answering, you pressed your lips together in frustration. You hadn’t known him for a long time, but you had almost died together on numerous occasions. You learned his tell pretty quickly.
You climbed the remaining steps and took your seat at his side like usual, dusting off your legs and folding your hands together in your lap.
“So,” you said casually. “Are you hiding from me?”
He quickly sucked in the remainder of his cigarette before dropping it on the step below him, smudging it out with his shoe. You watched him do this with some sort of innate fascination - he didn’t like how you always watched him like that. Like you were expecting some grand maneuver, or something.
Eventually he realized that the silence was too overbearing for even him. He’d always been the listener between the two of you. He almost laughed at the realization. He’d become uncomfortable with the silence he used to rely on. It seems like it had been that way ever since the two of you had met.
“There’s nothing wrong,” he said. He seemed to hesitate before adding, “I’m not hiding from you.”
“I hope that’s true,” you continued. “Then again… you’re not a good liar.”
Sangwook huffed, slightly embarrassed at how you knew him so well already. “You think you know me so well when we’ve only known each other for such a short time.”
You sighed and bumped your shoulder with his. “Even now, you’re being more prickly. So that means I’m right.” You looked at him expectedly.
Another minute of silence. This time, Sangwook was determined not to break his resolve.
You stretched your foot out in front of you, if anything to distract you from the awkward tension. “I don’t think you’ll tell me what’s wrong,” you admitted. “And I don’t really want to ask.”
So don’t, he bit back his words.
You contemplated for a moment. What kind of words could you say to a man like him without… scaring him off? You chuckled dryly at the thought of it. You two had faced a handful of grotesque, disturbing monsters and yet the thing to scare him would be vulnerability. That was okay - it scared you too. It’s why you wouldn’t ask.
“Do you think…” you started, biting the inside of your cheek. “If none of this happened. I mean, if monsters didn’t show up and it wasn’t the end of the world as we know it…” You hesitated before continuing. “Do you think if you saw me on the street, you’d notice?”
He turned to you, confused, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“I mean if we met under different circumstances,” you continued. Your demeanor seemed relaxed, but in reality, you wanted to hit yourself for even bringing it up. “Do you think we would’ve met?”
Sangwook turned away from you then, regretting that he smudged out his cigarette. Now his hands had nothing to do. “...No. We wouldn’t have.”
You frowned.
“We would never find ourselves in the same place,” he explained.
“...What do you mean?” You asked.
“You…” He didn’t know exactly how to say what he was thinking. “You’re too pretty.”
A smile grew on your face slowly. Then suddenly, you laughed- maybe in astonishment. “What?”
“Don’t laugh,” he chided, but more so in a playful manner than a strict one.
“I’m not!” You cleared your throat, biting back your chuckle. “I’m not. I just… wasn’t expecting that. We wouldn’t have met because I’m too pretty?”
“Yes,” he replied simply.
Another moment of silence passed between you.
“...How would that mean we wouldn’t have met?”
He shifted his sitting position. His hands felt clammy - he shouldn’t have said anything at all. But then again, you had the tendency to disarm him at times. “Because it’s true,” he doubled down. “You sure as hell wouldn’t be found anywhere near a construction site.”
You looked at him in confusion.
Sangwook shook his head with finality. “We wouldn’t have met.”
You took your bottom lip between your teeth and shrugged. “I don’t know,” you chuckled awkwardly. “I’m pretty good with a hammer.”
He turned and looked at you then - really looked at you. He watched as your eyes widened at his intense gaze. How you sort of seemed to lean towards him unconsciously, trusting. You waited for him to say something but nothing came to his mind. Everything he wanted to say was right in front of him.
But who was he to admit that?
“It’s useless to talk about things like that,” he said. “It’s wishful thinking.”
“I thought you liked me because of my optimism,” you said slowly, trying to lighten the mood but unable to keep the disappointment from your tone. “Do you really think that?” You asked, voice quiet. “That we’re really so different?”
He didn’t answer.
You huffed and looked away. “That’s really surprising. We’ve seen each other covered in sweat and blood, and you’re still thinking about status…” You picked at your fingernails. “You’ve seen what I can do. I’ve seen what you can do. Isn’t that what really matters?” You didn’t even care you were being a bit hypocritical. You thought he knew you better than that. Or - that you knew him better than that.
Sangwook couldn’t think of an argument for what you had just said, even if he tried. He just stared at you in surprise.
Suddenly, you pushed yourself up from where you were sitting. “I’m sorry for bothering you…” You didn’t really mean it. And he knew that.
Bother me more, he wanted to say. Bother me all the time.
“But I hope you know…” you started to say. The way the sun was setting made you look like you were glowing. It made Sangwook’s chest feel tight. “..That I would’ve noticed you before all of this. Even if it were just in passing.”
He watched as you turned away and descended the stairs. He didn’t follow you, or call out to you. Because that’s not the kind of man he was. And you weren’t his.
Even if you thought you were.

𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐅𝐈𝐂
Pyeon Sang-wook x afab!reader
first post on tumblr — this is kind of inspired by my fanfic on wattpad but instead i added a twist. it’s a LITTLE rushed but — enjoy 💁🏽‍♀️
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒: self-harm mentioned, blood (maybe gore? someone’s death is mentioned), oral (f), unprotected sex.
𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒: 2.9k
Tumblr media
It’s been a few weeks since your first nosebleed. Everyone in the apartments was a little on edge because of how many were catching what they thought was a virus. Jae-heon believed it was a curse, but nobody took him seriously.
You took the opportunity to get close to the Apartments gangster, Pyeon Sangwook.
He was an… compelling character. His cold demeanor was intimidating, but deep down, you knew he had a soft spot. You made sure to be slow with your approach. You didn’t want to overwhelm him. He already seemed paranoid, as it is.
It didn’t take long for him to be comfortable around you. He was still quiet, but his responses became somewhat longer. Sometimes even having detail. Your conversations with him were either about the monsters outside of the building or things that have happened in the past. He told you how he got his burn in the first place, and you told him about your issues with self-harm.
He didn’t tell you, but he was proud. He was proud you were clean for two years. You didn’t know if he had any issues with self-harm before, but judging from his expression when you told him your story, he had to have lost someone.
Now you were in his apartment helping him clean up. He went rummaging through his apartment, looking for an image of a little girl. You didn’t know why and he refused to tell you.
You soon found out why when you saw him beating the lights out of another tenant with a hammer. The scene was so graphic you felt like throwing up. The blood splashed on the walls nearby, his hands were drenched, and what made it worse was he had been struck as well. He was hit in the back of the head, and the wound made you cringe. When he tried to walk and drag the boy outside, he almost fell.
He was lucky you cared enough to drag him back inside before a monster got to him. Though, the boy he killed had been eaten. The only thing he told you about the boy was that he hurt children. He didn’t go into more detail.
“What do you want me to do with this?” You asked, holding up a jacket that was covered in holes. He walked over and snatched it out of your hands.
“Keeping.” He answered quickly, his voice a bit raspy.
“You sound like a hoarder. You can't even wear that jacket anymore, so why are you keeping it? You could feed it to the monsters.” You chuckle. He doesn’t say anything and stares at the jacket, huffing and handing it back to you.
“I think we’re good for now; there’s enough space to walk.” You fold the jacket and sit it on the armrest of the couch. He nods silently and sits on the sofa, pulling a box of cigarettes out of his pocket. You rushed over and snatched it from his hands.
“Wha-“
“No. This’ll shorten your life span; we’re all trying to stay alive!”
“…” He stared blankly. “But I want to smoke.”
“I don’t care? From this point on, you’ll quit smoking, and I'll help you. We don’t know how long we’ll be here, so…” You throw the cigarette box in the corner of the room. He didn’t dare stand up to grab it.
He became more obedient around you. You were the only person who cared about him. He was emotionally closed off and didn’t know how to respond to affection. His best response was to stay quiet and let you do your thing. The love felt nice, but it felt awkward. It felt worse when he realized he started falling for you…romantically.
He became overprotective of you. Slightly possessive but not so possessive that it was unhealthy. Whenever you were alone, his hands had to be on you. His eyes followed you wherever you went, and his body wouldn’t tense up when you touched him. He fell in love, and he didn’t know if you liked him back.
Luckily you did, but with someone as cold as him, you didn’t know how to confess. You two would sit in silence sometimes, and the atmosphere around you would be thick enough to cut with a knife. The reason you fell for him was how he would protect you and care for you, something you didn’t have growing up. Even though he tried to hide his affection for you, you would tease him enough to make him blush. He took a role in your relationship that made you feel cared for and loved, even if he didn’t know how to show it.
The reason he liked you wasn’t only because you were attractive but because you treated him like he was an average person. Because of his past, people were scared of him. The blood of his victims was stained on his hands, yet you held them without worry. Knowing you weren’t scared of him, he felt like he could be himself.
Again you two sat in silence. The TV didn’t work because of the electricity cutting out at random times, so you were comfortable in each other's presence. Though today something felt off. He felt off.
It wasn’t like he didn’t have thoughts about running his hands over your body before, and it wasn’t like you didn’t have the same thoughts about doing it to him. It was just he acted normal whenever he had those thoughts. He acted as if they didn’t bother him. Whenever you weren’t around, he’d deal with it himself and go about his day. Usually, it wouldn’t take long either, so why was he feeling like this now?
It was like a pounding feeling in his lower stomach. Not only butterflies. His heart was racing, and those dirty thoughts came back.
He side-eyed you, his eyes wandering your body. First, he looked at your chest, then slowly moved down your body until his eyes met your waist. He quickly averted his attention and cleared his throat, stood up, and walked to the bathroom. He closed the door behind him without speaking a word.
Oh, that was it.
A smirk tugged at the corner of your lips as you stood up and strolled to the door, knocking on it gently. You didn’t get an answer. You hit on it again. Still no answer.
“Sangwook, you okay?” You asked. There was no response. “You can’t stay in the bathroom forever. We need to go down to the lobby soon-“
“I’m fine.” He said in a rush. “Go without me.”
“Are you sure? If there’s anything wrong, you know I’m here to help you. I won’t make fun of you or anything?” You leaned against the door. Pressing your ear against it, you could hear rustling behind it. He thought he was slick.
“I said I’m fine, just go.” It sounded like he was out of breath.
“Are you sure? You know, I know some stuff about the body! If you got cut or something, I can help patch it up!”
“It’s not that!” He raised his voice slightly. Your eyebrows raised from the sudden change in tone.
“So then what is it?” He’s horny, duh.
He didn’t answer. You heard his clothes rustling behind the door, and then he opened it. He looked completely fine. That’s what you told yourself until you saw his face was red. Not the typical red.
“Your face is kind of…red. Do you-“
“Can you help me?” He mustered up the courage to ask you. This was the first time you’ve ever seen him embarrassed. “Please.”
“I, um, sure? With what?” You crossed your arms.
“Don’t make me say it.”
You weren’t that mean. You nodded, and he grabbed your wrist, pulling you away from the bathroom and into his bedroom, which you helped him clean. But you were a bit irritated knowing the sheets would be messed up after you took time making his bed perfectly.
“I was hoping you’d ask; I was waiting.” You whispered as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He wasn’t very experienced when it came to sex, but he knew the basics of it. And he could catch on to what his partner liked, and that partner was you.
“Are you sure?” He placed a hand on your waist. “I don’t want to make it seem like you have to.”
“No, you’re not making it seem like that. I’ve wanted to do this, and I’m ready.” You lifted one hand and placed it on his cheek, caressing it gently as he pulled your body closer.
He lifted your chin and placed his lips on yours. You two kissed for the first time. It was so gentle you felt like you were melting into him. His rough hands suddenly felt soft as they held your waist, slowly moving them to your hips and gripping them softly. Not only were his hands soft, but his lips were too. Much different from what you assumed they felt like. You didn’t want to stop kissing him.
He pulled away from the kiss and turned you around, laying you on the bed and beginning to kiss your neck. He was handling your body as if you were fragile. You assumed he would be rough. You weren’t going to complain, though.
His soft kisses on your neck turned slightly rough as he nibbled on it, creating minor marks that would let everyone know you’re his. He pulled away for a moment to pull your shirt up and over your head, throwing it on the ground and staring at your chest. He couldn’t believe your body was exposed to him like this, but he made sure to use it the best way possible.
He reached behind you and unclamped your bra, sliding it from underneath your body and throwing it on top of your shirt. He hovered his hand over your breast as if asking for permission and you nodded. He held it gently, his index finger occasionally running over your nipple. It made you moan softly.
He bent down and took your other breast into his mouth, which made you shut your eyes tightly and whimper. This was a new feeling. His tongue on your nipple while his hand played with your other, it was overwhelming yet it felt amazing.
The hand that was on your breast moved down your body and unbuttoned your pants, pulling them down. You helped by moving your legs and kicking them off; he threw them on the floor. His hand played with the rim of your underwear, pulling at them until he slipped his hand inside of them. You brought your hand down to grab into his wrist, your back arching off of the bed once his fingers pressed into your clit.
He rubbed small circles over it, sending small shock waves throughout your body. It wasn’t like you hadn’t touched yourself before, but having someone else touch you felt different. It felt better. He lifted his head and your breast was no longer in his mouth. Your wetness pooled in your underwear, making it easier for him to rub you faster.
Then he pushed a finger inside of your entrance. Your body flinched and another moan came from your parted lips, but this one was louder. He looked up, seeing your eyebrows tied in a knot and your eyes shut right. Your expressions were telling him he was doing a good job.
He thrusted his finger in and out slowly, giving you time to adjust to the feeling before adding another in. Already your body felt like falling apart at the seams. He kissed your cheek as he fingered you, using his thumb to rub your clit simultaneously.
You cursed under your breath, throwing your head back. Your hips squirmed underneath him and that let him know he had to hold you down, otherwise you wouldn’t stop moving.
He kissed down your body, pulling his fingers out and pulling your underwear down when he made it. He threw them on the floor and spread your legs gently, wrapping his arms around them and diving into your core, his tongue flattening against your entrance as he took one lick.
“Fuck…” you mumbled, grabbing onto a pillow your head was laying on. His middle and ring finger prodded at your entrance while his mouth attacked your clit, which overwhelmed you. And before you knew it, his fingers were inside you.
You dug your nails into the pillow, choking on your own moans as he thrusted his fingers faster than before, curling them to hit your sweet spots. A knot formed inside of your stomach, begging to unravel as your moans grew louder, bouncing off the walls of his bedroom. He stopped holding your legs and your thighs squeezed against his face, but that didn’t stop his work. You brought one of your hands down and ran your fingers through his hair, arching your back with trembling legs.
The knot unraveled, causing you to moan the loudest yet. It sent waves of pleasure through your body, white dots hazing your vision. This had to have been your strongest orgasm yet, it made you feel euphoric.
He took his fingers out and backed away, putting them in his mouth. That shocked you.
“You taste good,” he smiled, placing his hand on your stomach. “you did great. I can let you rest before we-“
“Put it in.” You blurted out. “Please, I-I’m okay just please.”
He didn’t bother taking his shirt off. He unbuckled his belt and threw it on the floor, taking his pants and boxers off and discarding them with the rest of your clothes. He got in between your legs, spreading them a bit more and leaning down to kiss your lips. You returned the kiss and held his face softly, feeling his tip play with your entrance before going inside.
You hissed, moving your hands to his shoulders as you moaned. He kissed your forehead and slowly pushed the rest of his length inside of you, holding your hip with one hand to comfort you.
“You’re…big—fuck!” you whined, pulling him down so his chest was pressed against yours.
“Does it hurt?” his gentle voice in your ear was helping you forget about the pain. You shook your head and he sat up a bit, pulling his hips back. You hissed again, causing his hips to halt.
“I’m not moving until you’re sure it doesn’t hurt.” He spoke. At least he cared enough to wait.
After a couple minutes, you nodded and he nodded slightly back. He pushed his hips, his member going back inside of you. You let out a sigh of relief finally feeling pleasure. He kept his pace slow but consistent, holding himself up by his forearms. Your hands held onto his arms as you both stared at each other. He was admiring you, loving how your face scrunched up whenever he went back inside.
You moaned softly, turning your head to the side and whimpering. He kissed your cheek and moved his hips faster, your grip on him tightening automatically.
“Your moans are so cute.” He whispered. You tightened around his member because of what he said.
“F-Faster…” you begged. He sat up and planted his hands on the bed, moving one of them to grab the underside of your knee and lift one leg up. He surprised you by a constant barrage of thrusts, constantly hitting your g-spot. The knot inside of your stomach came back, and this time you knew this orgasm would probably make you pass out.
Your back arched off the bed as you moaned his name. You grabbed a pillow beside you and clung onto it, tears forming in the corner of your eyes and falling down your cheeks. You were still so sensitive from your orgasm before, it felt like your body was falling apart. In a good way. With his other arm, he rested on his forearm and leaned down to kiss you on the forehead.
Judging from the noises you made and your expressions, he knew you were close. He kissed your neck, giving you the chance to wrap your arms around him. You clawed at his back because of how good he made you feel. A constant tingling feeling that wasn’t going away any time soon.
“I—I’m…I’m c-cumming…” you stammered, moaning loudly as you felt the knot in your stomach unravel.
“Me too…” he said in a raspy tone. Small grunts and moans could be heard from him. You moved your hand on his head, gripping his hair as she moaned the loudest you could. And then it happened, your long awaited orgasm.
You clenched around him, yelling his name as you felt a large amount of liquid leave your body. Not only did he made you cum, but he made you squirt.
The sudden tightening around his member made his hips stutter. Then he stopped, groaning your name softly as he emptied his load inside of you. Both of you were too worn out to realize he didn’t wear a condom.
You laid there, your eyes struggling to stay open and your body hot. You could tell it had been a while since he last had sex. A long while. He tried pulling out but you held him, holding him down and hugging him. For the first time, he smiled. He smiled and laid down, his head on your chest.
“I wanna stay like this for a while…” you mumbled.
“That’s fine with me.” He held her close. “I…um,” he wanted to say it, but felt like he would be rejected.
“I love you too.” you stroked his hair softly. You felt his body relax on top of yours and you were the first to fall asleep. He fell asleep afterward, finally feeling what it felt like to be loved.
