small end of the year wrap up 2023

Since I've started writing and sharing fanfic with you all, I'd posted 3 works per year, and in 2023 I made the goal to break that strange and random trend by at least 1 more fic. Maybe a bold move in a year that has been one of the craziest of my whole life, due to a LOT of traveling, but I am pleased as punch to report that I wrote and published 6 whole fanfictions in the last 12 months!!! 2 of which were over the 40k mark. 😁

I can't wait to see what next year will bring! Here's to all the wonderful art and fics all of us are making and reading together--we're all meeting up for coffee/tea, in every way except physical 💛

Cassie assumes they are dating before they are. she tells her mother and the cop bitch. they belive her, and that helps them realize Scott isn't trying to do anything but be a family with Cassie. They mention it one dinner. Luis just rolls with it, thinking he asked out Scott accidentally and is happy about not having to find a way to acutally ask him out. Scott thinks he got with Luis by accident and doesn't really want to not be with him. a confusing win-win. until they are asked how they got together.

Cop bitch didn't like the thought of Luis (bc he's a cop bitch) being around Cassie, but then saw Luis and Scott and was like "I need to reflect on myself. Luis makes my people happy."

Luis will call Scott without warning to tell him literally anything. Saw a weird cloud? Scott should know.

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

I do, and they're pretty popular - Steggy (Steve/Peggy). It just doesn't sit right with me, considering Peggy was unfairly rude to Steve after Private Lorraine kissed him.

Of course, she wouldn't know that, but shooting at Steve for that? No thank you. Even if Steve had the shield, what if it was a prototype and not the actual one? The serum is powerful, but not dying when shot point-blank? That's hard.

I'm fine with them being, y'know, those friends who meet up occasionally and have good memories attached to each other. But not romantic partners.

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

Yes - Tony/Rhodey. People, after realising Rhodey’s had a change of heart about the Accords, claimed that Rhodey was evil and whatnot and were generally rude and racist (what’s new?) about it. 

The worst part? It would actually be a good ship (the “Party time” and “Self-control” dynamic) if it weren’t for the Tony stans.

Scott! Scott Lang! I’ve seen people ship him with... absolutely everyone but Luis, which is :(

Look, they were SOULMATES. Well, cellmates, but whatever. Same difference. Scott’s been shipped with Clint (who he shared like 5 minutes of screentime with), Steve (he’s a fanboy), Sam (because they’re friends), Doctor Strange (the magic thing) and Hope (canon s/o, which makes sense)... but Luis and him have been practically gal-palled by the fandom - and the MCU, as @imposterogers has pointed out (multiple times!). (Also jo sorry for tagging 😐 !)

Bored sitting in a car so some ScottLuis head cannons.

- They have sleepovers in the living room, they drag their mattress in and Cassie brings hers. They stay up late, eat junk and watch cheesy old movies.

- Luis has explained how to load the dishwasher many times but Scott doesn’t do it right because he likes hearing Luis rant about it (Luis knows this, and likes it as well, so more of a inside joke than anything else) (he doesn’t do it often, because that’s actually be annoying)

- They share clothes. Their closet isn’t divided at all, it’s just a jumble of clothes. This leads to some interesting problems when clothes don’t fit and they have to keep trying

- Secret record player and record collection

- Touchy. Literally always touching.

- Date night at least once a week. But the date is usually getting takeaway and staying home.

- Dinner with Maggie and Jim every fortnight, they rotate who hosts and try to out do each other (friendly competition)

- But they are known for just popping over to Maggie and Jim’s and are always happy when they come over to theirs. Big friendly group!

- Poster relationship for comedic miscommunication. Constantly confused at what the other person wants, keeps going through with the weird plans because they love each other and don’t want to be mean.

- They say ‘I Love You’ all the time. It’s constant. They need to stop (they won’t)

- They renovate the van so that it can be used for road trips. They often go away for a long weekend or so, just exploring together.

- Scott and Natasha get along. Luis and Natasha get along even better. (Don’t question me on this. I just know it in my heart)

- Lots of pillows. Just the vibe they have.

- Luis drives the most and is the one to give Cassie lessons

- Just Luis and Cassie (and Scott watching from the sidelines with heart eyes)

- Luis is prone to getting stressed. Scott gives him massages when he is, they’re not good but it still calms Luis down anyway.

- They’re just a loving, happy, healthy couple.

in these trying times (luis not being in antman 3) I would like to take this moment to remind everyone that luis wasn’t just scott’s best friend, he was also a love interest. he was scotty’s best bro/cellmate, picked him up from prison & couldn’t stop smiling, stood by his side for years, started a business w him, & developed a close relationship with cassie. he said “I love it when he gets cocky” about scott and called himself daddy (”daddy don’t get scared”) to scott. they were literally in a domestic au as roommates for two years in a charming victorian in san fran, and the worst thing luis could say about scott under truth serum is that he didn’t like how he did the dishes. I will not let marvel erase the fact that they are cellmates to soulmates !!!
